Reviews of O'Neill'S Wardour Street
M.
If you are looking for a pint of beer and great live music this is the place for you. Always a certainty. Covid pass (no recovery) or negative test required to enter, together with ID.
T.
If you love the live music experience, this is your place, honestly.
Live music of the 80s, 90s, 00s and even more!
Live music in the middle of Chinatown even on Mondays, and the weekends are a blast.
Entrance in weekend isn't expensive and during the week is free. Drinks are nice too and no really expensive, highly recommend.
J. M.
Yeah, good bar at sensible prices. Good atmosphere with a band on as well.
Only 4 stars this time as bar staff were scarce and took sometime to get a served with drinks, at times only one person serving.
Otherwise though good.
D. M.
We had an amazing time here! The male manager was so funny and helpful. He remembers our drinks and helped carrying them to our table. He also joked with us and made everyone laughed. Will definitely be back to ONeills again when we are in London
o.
If your visiting the Chinatown area want to watch a game get a drink and have a good time. Your at the place. They have an amazing menu for food, delicious cocktails and can't forget the three floors of just about everything you can think of. My favorite was the second floor as you can get the atmosphere of the games good foods and drinks. For the review I would give it a 8.9 out of 10 on that 🔥 scale. I will come back to try out the food and see how it goes. For future travel and food adventures follow my Instagram @officialgetfresh

Went the other day when it was the 02 priority deal, it was Quite hectic and the bar team was very fast considering the amount of people lining up to get their 2 free drinks.
My QR code didn’t work for me for some odd reason but a member of staff was kind enough to pay for one of my Guinnesses small brown Asian fella didn’t get a chance to catch his name but I Really did appreciate the kind gesture, made my day.
G. H.
Really fun energy here. Plenty of space to socialize with good music and decent drinks. Not a place for the claustrophobic or those who are worried about coronavirus
T. W.
Fantastic live music! Great staff. Manager very visible and attentive! And cheap cocktails!
E. S.
Proper singalong boozer.
From the friendly and professional door staff to the cordial and diligent bar and floor staff led to a needed drink after a meal in Soho.
Funky duo singing songs from the 60s to current day led a mixed and merry crowd in the downstairs bar.
Drinks were served quickly and band below filleted by 3 guys positing upstairs which created a lovely evening with friends who swear we will be visiting again.
m. b.
Lively bar with live bands. Friendly staff too. Outside seating area as well. It was a Monday night so wasn't busy busy.
S. B.
Great pub. Spread Cross at least 3 levels. Live bands on top floor on the Saturday night we visited. Very secure entry and security throughout.
K. “. G. G.
Brilliant bar, over 3 floors, top floor hosting the live bands. We had a great time, before a certain time it's free too.
J. R.
Good drinks selection. Friendly staff
The great staff member was a Spanish woman working up on the top floor on Monday night
J. O. P.
I had such a great night at the pub, although Nathalie made it way better, she provided me the best costumer service, and the best drinks. Even though it was so busy, she managed to keep calm with a cute smile on her face☺️ 10 stars ✨
L. M.
Fun place, great for people watching. A weird mix of 30 year old bankers and 20 year old uni students. Cheesy but danceable live music
L. J. E.
Great place to go with your mates. If you like live music while having a beer with your friends do not hesitate to go there.
C.
Came here on Saturday and had a great time! All the bartenders and bouncers were lovely which made me feel comfortable. Music also had a good variety and the live band was really great too. Would definitely recommend this place if you’re looking to have a good time!
Also thank you to Billy who worked there, he was absolutely lovely!
J. H.
Been twice, 5 years apart. Live music on the 3rd floor is always buzzing and playing all your rock classics. From the likes of GNR, Red Hot Chili Peppers, the Killers, etc. anything that’s “good music”.
Second floor is fun too and I love how you can see down to the lower level.
So a solid diver bar with good life music if you are in the area.
P. T.
Good live music around 6pm when I was there, great views of the Chinatown. Staff were friendly. No complaints
c. k.
We only came in for a quick drink on our way home after the theatre and ended up staying past 1 am. Observant, speedy service and a great atmosphere due to the fantastic band, Craicheads playing there last night 9.11.2021.
We will visit again. There are not many places in central London where you can hear great music and enjoy an affordable drink.
J. A.
O’Neill’s is an incredible night! From the moment you meet the door staff, if you’re nice to them they will be amazing towards you. Such a great party atmosphere (which is what London is about!!). Huge kudos to the Spanish manager who was in charge of the bar, (Sunday 12/09) the downstairs bar! Amazingly accommodating on a Sunday night, full of energy, if only the world was full of people like her! Fantastic night. We need O’Neill’s everywhere.
N. G.
Came here last night for a quick drink, ended up staying the whole night because the energy was so good. The night was made by the Turkish bartender with the red hair who was fast with service while staying witty and smiling. We always made sure to order from her. Would definitely recommend if you’re looking for an unexpected good night out in central.
B. A.
This venue is one of the best for live music in london! We were here on Saturday night expecting a rough crowd for the fight luckily they didn’t show it so it was just a great experience! The live music was electric and when we spoke to the sound guy he said they had just got a new system and was properly excited to see it in practice! Highly highly recommend
F. A.
Good place to go with friends, listen a band and dance
f. T. r.
We were here on Saturday night and the party never stopped! From the jokes with security that made the queue fly by to the staff who were constant working hard all night! The music was varied over the two floors but brilliant on both!
The managers were attentive and happy to help! One of my drinks got spilled by a drunk person and the upstairs manager cleaned it up and replaced it for me with no issues!
A. M.
Nice cozy atmosphere, some good live music although can be a bit loud at times, drinks relatively good value and helpful bartenders.
i. L.
Came here last night for a few drinks with a few friends and had a great chat with some of the bartenders. Had an amazing conversation with Tyrell was very engaging & Madison had really good drink recommendations for us to try out. Definitely think I’ll be back again
A. P.
The Lady bartender upstairs was an amazing and energetic. Served nicely and was talking so friendly. However pizza i am sorry I didn't liked it should be Cooked little more and I didn't see enough cheese on it and was felt like eating bread with little cheese and tomato. Garlic bread pizza was good in taste but not Cooked well enough. I would recommend people to get twisted fries that was the only thing we enjoyed eating. But please don't take those sauces and other stuff while we are eating. I was engry that time that we haven't finished food and he came to take ketchup and sauces back I don't know why.
Anyways thank you for making our evening more charming,
Hoping to sometime again.
H. M.
I love Irish pub, live music, rugby, Guinness and this place has everything and more, the staff is really friendly, the atmosphere is great! Definitely suggest for a bite, the burger and drink is a bargain, love the sharing platter as well! I really would like to thank all the staff, I spent 5 nights in London four of them in this place, best fun ever!
T. T.
Like all O'Neill's pubs that I have been to the decor looks battered and bruised and I was not sure if the cobwebs were for Halloween season or not. Great size with big screens all round the place. Classic mixed grill was really tasty and a good pint to go with it.
D. R.
Amazing pub in chinatown! I was there last Friday and my experience was a 10 out of 10 since I first stepped into the pub until I left at the close.
The place is definitely worth it, it has three floors with different vibes, but they all share one thing in common: great music and amazing staff. Impossible not to have a good time!
Big kudos to Nathalie, she was great behind the bar serving none-stop all the times I went there to order!
Also thanks to the Spanish manager who helped us to find the cloakroom and was running up and down the stairs every time I saw her but never lost the smile.
Very pleased we found that place, now I know it I'll be back for sure.
So... yh! See you very soon O'Neill's! 😉
D. M.
Loved this pub .we sat outside and watched the world go by.the location in China Town is great.me and my wife had a great time.
A. T.
Craicing Irish bar with a great range of drinks. Friendly staff and door staff. The site has a fantastic history with some genuine legends such as Hendrix, Bowie and The Saw Doctors having played there. Highly recommended.
M. C.
We had booked a table to watch rugby and had food also, even though it was busy we did not have to wait too long food was tasty.
S. T.
Went to this pub on Friday night the staff were amazing, they were clearly very very busy but never failed to serve me as quickly as they could. Security were brilliant too they removed people calmly even when the drunken idiots were agressive towards them!
Would highly recommend going here whenever possible!
T. T.
Went here on Monday great night Great music! Have been to many O’Neill’s across london and Manchester but this is by far the best one! It’s different to the rest has more history and character! The bands make this place and it’s so much better than when I went here in 2018! Clearly the place to go in london
G. (.
One if the best bars that I've been to in central London, the door lay Paige was so informstive and friendly that it added to the overall experience as tourists. Her warm inviting personality made me realise that the rest of the staff would be similar and I was not disappointed at all! 100% would recommend. Thank you Paige for a blessed night out in the city of London.
M. M.
Packed, overpriced, very sticky floor. But sadly the only place to go after midnight in the area if your not really a nightclub person. £10 entry is new from the last time I went a couple of years back. Will probably go again but only because it is open, not because it's a great venue. Live music was good as always though I have to say.
J. M.
Absolutely amazing night, live music was awesome, all staff were amazing, 2nd time going to this bar and would recommend to anyone who wants a great night, ABSOLUTELY AMAZING thanks to all staff
S. B.
What a fantastic venue for live music and great atmosphere. Welcoming staff that are friendly an helpful ( Euan very chatty and polite even in fancy dress ) . Great range of drinks an food available through the night . Will be visiting again !!
D. O.
Came in last week, live music was amazing and paddy was great on the bar with an extensive knowledge of the cocktail menu. I would definitely come back again.
R. P.
It's nice! The 2nd floor with the live band it's very good the only problem is that there too much fight there. Last time I saw 3 near me! It's a shame cause its a good place for live music
K. W.
This place is what you expect from an O'Neils. Reasonable price drinks, good prices for food that was pretty filling, crazy loud even before the band turned up and pretty bad staff. The staff were what let this place down. Most had pretty poor English, grumpy looking faces and no skill or speed behind the bar. Serving times got bad as it got busier. Live music started around 10:30 and it sounded ok, but we were just leaving by then
S. C.
If you want the Coppers vibes in London, this is your spot. Drinks were meh, crowd was rowdy as expected, lighting was way too bright, tunes were standard chart.
J. N.
I went to O’Neils last night and it was one of the best nights of my life. The staff were great as was the atmosphere 10/10 would recommend to anyone.
A. K.
Love the experience. ❤️ Danny done the great job . ( No paddy no party ) great chat with young mate . Mark and shushi made me some good cocktails and lovely people.
A. B.
Turns into a club on Friday night and there's a band on the top floor that does live music. Free entry before 11pm, £10 after I think.
D. N.
Lots of room, sport on the TVs, plenty of beer.
R. S.
Great vibes ,even better music on second and first floor Fast service considering the crowds , friendly but efficient extensive security , dance and seating areas , good mix of customers Enjoy as long a taking softly isn't your passion
A. A.
What a vibe on a Friday night! The live bands are fantastic!! If you ever are in Chinatown and love listening to live bands playing the hits you have visit O’neills.
F. Z.
Fantastic location in the downtown, China Town. Real English pub experience, always live music. Brit-Pop/Rock/Folk, good beer and good prices.
A. A.
Nice place to spend ur time ,
U can watch sport events.
On Sunday they had a live band.
Enjoyable atmosphere.
A. S.
Most places around Soho and Leicester Square are closed by 11pm on a Sunday, but you can rely on O'Neill's being open. It is busy and the music is loud but it has a fun atmosphere.
M. L.
Great place live music! All the bar tenders and managers were super friendly especially Nathalie Stefan and Paddy
M. V.
A great beer selection. The Meantime in particular was crisp and fresh. We had 48 roulette chicken wings. More a case of half hot half BBQ than a roulette style dish but they were equally tasty.
The service is another matter. Our sauce covered wings came with no cutlery, napkins or a bowl for the bones. They couldn't decide which speaker was to play what kind of music and in general it was more a case of comedy service than anything else. A little frustrating as we had gone in to watch a match. Could be a training issue or perhaps they just didnt care much.
M.
Great place! Live performers were so good, drinks prices not too bad, will definitely be visiting again!
D. S.
Very reasonably priced for Central. Good atmosphere. Mixed ages. Live music. Good food. Will be back.
A. D.
Very lively bar across 3 floors, top floor has live band. Beers decent choices and prices
O. D.
Great run.door men sound.. Music boss.. Really enjoyed myself
I. R.
Lovely live music, drinks and food are great and affordable, staff is friendly
R. D.
Nice Pub. Live music and live sport on both floors. Good place to visit before theatre or a meetups.

Had such a great experience here ! All the bartenders were amazing. Special shoutout to Tyrell, Paddy, Shrey and Nat they were amazing behind the bar. Will deffo come here again
J. L. D.
As always was a great atmosphere.A few families playing games and some guys watchin the footy.Staff have always been great.
m. m.
Love this place for drinks, cocktails and atmosphere, if you are in London for a day trip you got to go here if you visit China town
S. M.
Irish chain pub in China town. Good price for beer. Food is just about the average. Favourite burger @£8.95 comes well-done by default with no other options. OK place for a pint of beer and quick bite.
P. E. R.
This is a great place to go with your friend for a drink after work or during the weekend. You will have the opportunity to listen to live music whilst enjoying your drink. Very well situated in the heart of Chinatown and very close to Soho and Leicester Square.
C. B.
Great pub and atmosphere. Highly recommended. Very reasonable prices for centre of London.
M. “. E.
Came here after watching Book of Mormon. Chill atmosphere. When I arrived the bouncers smiled and were polite. Music was chill and good. Drinks were pricey on the beer side but cheap on the wine side. The house white Pinot Grigio was not bad for a pub. As the night progressed live music came on which was pleasant and loud. Ideal ending to the evening if you want to really have a good night sleep. Haha
NB - if you have cash give it to the folks in the toilet (still don’t know what the job title is)
I recommend !
M. C.
Natalie provided great service was really happy with everything. I had problem there, she managed to help me out and I left a peaceful man
S. F.
The staff here are amazing, they are fast and happy to help at any opportunity! The live music is brilliant, although its busy you always feel safe thanks to the management team who are constantly around and there to help!
S. A. H.
Very Cool time
D. S.
Used to be a great place to hang out and listen to life music unfortunately like all good things come to end this place became a tourist attraction and it’s too overcrowded and overpriced these days now.
S. D.
Cheap and cheerful - couldn’t be further from an authentic Irish bar If it tried . Soulless Guinness and fraught beer which turns out dead due to plastic glasses.
I. E.
Absolutely amazing first visit to this pub. Had a real nice vibe to it and the workers made everything 10 times more amazing. Gosia in particular managed to keep a smile on my face with her outstanding customer service skills and mannerisms - I will definitely be returning and referring friends!
T. Z.
Food was too yummy😋😋.. Staff was so friendly and I loved the music soo much🎶😍
P. S.
Cool atmosphere great cheap drinks and music for London! Dan was really helpful and friendly would deffo come again
A. S.
Had a wonderful experience Great food and amazing drinks also all the management team was really friendly
D. B.
This is a nice pub with good music and great wings what a plate of wings. But it is the most un-Irish Irish bar. Not one person working there was Irish well on the night I was there there wasn't. For this reason I took stars away.
V. -.
Wonderful environment and the drinks were a good price. Definitely a go to spot🍻
M. R.
Live music was astounding and drinks were best prices I've ever seen
A. A.
A good crowd & good atmosphere! Will definitely be visiting again in the future!
J. G.
Lively atmosphere with live music.Unfortunately, the service was too slow. I guess understaffed like many hospitality venues at the moment.
C. M.
We came in to watch the England match on Sunday, terrific atmosphere even with restrictions. Security were friendly on the door and the host Thomas explained everything brilliantly. Big thanks to our server Maria too she was amazing! Can’t wait to come back for the other games!
I. R.
Paige, i believe the black haired behind the bar today, was amazing, she was extremely welcoming and made my day. She was extremely friendly and went the extra mile. I definitely will be returning back to this bar.
S. H.

Inlove this place I used to go a lot there when I lived in London in 2011, last year I went back to London for holidays and spent the Christmas 🤶 at O'Neill's, it was renovated and was even better than used to be. Lovely place for some good music food and beer.
G.
Very good place! Definitely you have to go if you are in London. Amazing live music, nice people, highly recommend!
m. f.

Great atmosphere, had a live band on. Plenty of seating areas upstairs and down. Service was good
A. H.
Decent pub, didnt like the food though....Had tortilla thing and didn't like the tortillas and the chicken didnt look fully cooked so I mugged it off...beer was reasonably priced Tbf and there was loads of places to charge your phone up free of charge.......very nice toilets too....would have given a 5/5.but the food let us down....
T.
Awesome atmosphere. Decent priced drinks. Would live to go back next time I'm in London.

Fun atmosphere friendly staff! Especially Madison and Rumi they were super helpful
J. L.
Pretty pricey although standard for the area. Staff quite unfriendly apart from one lovely gentleman. Will probably be back some day
P. C.
Great pub atmosphere really good .. and the best service ive had for a long long time from the lovely Paige . Shes a credit yo you guys , Will definitely be back just for the customer service alone .
M. L.
We went yesterday evening, was a very good vibe. Not crowded but a cheerful crowd. The waitress was lovely and super helpful (Maria). We were the annoying customers (sory Maria) that we had a few questions about the menu, about the membership they offer and about the food and she was super considered(first time that I am asked if I am allergic to anything). Great job Maria, Great job O'Neills.
W.
Our server Lana was really nice and accommodating. It was definitely a great experience. This place was so lovely and the drinks were well priced.
a. b.

Amazing life music. Super fun night!
E. P.
Haven't had this much fun since 2019. Great place and the live music band rocks!!
N. K.
Crowded club with indifferent, almost rude staff behind the bar. Need to wait ages for a drink. Music is OK, bit deafening lol
G. T.
Very good atmosphere.staff very friendly.wheelchair accessable
Very good pub to visit.we booked a table to watch football
D. C.
Good for a night out and for watching sports
K. O.
Great atmosphere and great service plus Paddy is an absolute gem behind the bar.
D. B.
Great for watching football and easy to get to from Leicester Square.
m. a. x.
Security inside rude and the woman in the bathroom was unkind and judgemental! Rest was amazing :)
A. “. J.
Honestly one of the best places you can go on a Saturday night in Leicester Square.
P. H.
Great place, nice staff, good music ,atmosphere, two floored bar, bounces on door very polite 😀
I. D.
Guinness superb and top notch pub in the centre of town.
S.
Excellent live music Thursday Friday and Saturday night.... Get there before 11pm otherwise its mobbed. Very good night.
J. S.
I enjoyed my experience. Was in town on holiday and wanted to watch some rugby. Found this spot. Glad I did, enough TVs wasnt to crowded. Service was very good. A bunch of beers on taps. Wings are different from the USA, not terrible. If in town I would say stop in. Not to pricey either.
S. M.
Lovely pub with amazing cocktails! Alex was a great waiter and looked after us very well. Great experience overall!
L. E.
A regular go-to venue when you feel like some live music in central London
J. L.
Wonderful staff , very friendly and professional , especially in this strange time , quick service , made me feel at home even though things are different since the lockdown. Made me feel safe , good to see that they are putting safety measures in place. Will be returning , great food and beer , definitely recommend!
T. S.
Friendly sports bar with lots of screens.
I went to watch the rugby and was taken to the dedicated area for the match.
Test track and Trace was easy, QR code then 4 questions, all quite painless. Food and beer selection all via QR menus.
Table service.
C. C.
Food was OK. Service not that good but seems it is an issue all over London nowadays, as if the lack of workers justify a bad service.
s. m.
Walk in this pub by mistake, we were supposed to go in another place but they "forgot" our reservation, can you believe it? Well thanks to O'Neill's, we were a large group but the place is so big we manage to find an area and tables as well, the staff has been really helpful, we order a lot of foods and drinks, everything turned out great considering the start of the night, definitely this is our next best place to go! We stay all night, even the rock band was awesome! Thanks to all the staff!
T. A.
great service from Paige as she was really nice and welcoming, great experience and place to bring your friends for drinks and dance. Would highly recommend
E. C.
With COVID alterations. Great table service, no booking required for our party of 8. New rules explained upon entry. 2 people from table allowed to go to bar to order. Table menus available. Staff have great communication to keep things running smoothly.
d. d.
Delicious beer, some decent and some great cocktails. Really recomended, nice pub!
J. M.

London's best pub EVER ! I go every day, love the service, very organized and have an excelente, brilliant team! Love it !
j.
One of my fav pubs. Staff is the BEST part, everyone working there is amazing, I had a really good time
c. c.
Keep going higher and you find the live music. Was great fun, expectations were low for a central London pub like this but was pleased. Crowd is low 20s age wise; except the cool octogenarian dude tearing up the dance floor.
J. F.
Brilliant atmosphere inside, open until late and friendly staff. Can't wait to come back when restrictions are lifted.Good beer and tasty food!
E. G.
Came in earlier today, my server gosia was lovely and cheerful. Great service, will definitely be coming back!
N. T.
Good place for Saturday night out and dancing.
M. W.
Very lively..friendly atmosphere. Foods nice. Has 3 levels...normal bar downstairs. Middle and top floor have different kind of music on each level. Music is really good. Love this place.

Friendly service, but the food was overcooked and dry
M. P.
Had a great experience today! Got recommended the chieftan by gosha and it was delightful! Great recommendation and awesome service. Definitely would come again!
P. C.
Food was pretty average. Drinks were good.
Kept being hounded to pay straight after getting a drink and we still wanted food. Even after ordering food we were made to pay straight away. Not a problem if notified but felt forced.
J. B.
I have only been here in the evening and have not had anything to eat, so my review does exclude that element.
The live entertainment on the third floor was amazing and I thoroughly enjoyed it and considering that it was free to get into I certainly cant complain.
However, the downside was the beer / larger which, in my opinion, was poor considering the price of a pint. I am certainly not saying that all of the drinks are poor.
All in all, if you are around id certainly recommend that you give O'neils a try.
R. T.
This is a very nice disco pub on three floors, each one with different bar, toilet and music, including tables downstairs and a rooftop with live bands and a place where to smoke and talk. The music selection is appreciable and varied. The only drag is that they don't balance men and women's men at the entrance, so there might be a prevalence of either sex inside.
G. B.
Didn't stay long but if you like live music give it a try 🍻
R. S.
Nice but a bit dirty.. too busy to complain about that though.. short of staff probably..
B. H.
There is band evry day. And people to get the proper cocktails for less money 💰compared to other places in soho
M. H.
Good bar and lively live music available
M. L.
This is definitely not my kind of music but definitely one of the most favourite places for me in London. Birthday, or just a night out I would always have fun there! Wide range of life bands every open day and in the heart of Soho With smoking area and bars on each floor. No need to wait for a toilet on a queue and you can choose from many different cocktails and beers! Apple pay available and nice sound.
Highly recommend!
a. s.
Lovely 3 floor venue with roof terrace
B. T.
anna and sara were amazing hosts, sara gave great service on the door greeting me and my friends with a smile and just gracious manner. Anna as a host and server made our night) she was so lovely and had great banter with my group as customers and was such lovely host and made us feel welcome and ready to have a great time in the bar! would recommend anyone to go there if those two staff members were on shift! i love them they are great at their jobs!
R. P.
Very friendly good service and music.
M. M.
Drinks are pricey but just overpriced enough to make you feel like you might need to stay in next weekend but selling a kidney is a way off yet.
Different rooms, one with bands on, pretty decent music.
The bar staff are fairly decent at performing tasks although repeating your order a few times wont hurt.
The security staff treat everyone like they are drunks ushering people from one room to the next and coats must never be put on the floor, use the cloakroom or be burdened with having it thrown in your face every five minutes by someone in a hi-visibility vest telling you "no, no, no".
Bar that its a pretty ok place, I've been here a few times and I would go again.
C. W.
Nice pub, friendly staff.price of pint was £5.15 which i taught was reasonable for location. good for watching sport lots of screen, booths where you can sit had on personal screen to watch also which was pretty cool.in the heart of Chinatown also so perfect for drink after seeing China town itself
S. M.
Best place in the vicinity for live music. Top floor absolutely rocks. Drink choices very limited but it's best seen as a music and pints venue. Friendly staff. Bouncers quite righly make sure people aren't too drunk before entering so best to get there and enjoy your night inside the venue if you intend to have a large one.
N. K.
Always trouble in the early hours but it's fun.
J. F.
I just enjoy come here with my friends, we always have fun, specially when there is live music going on. We always have Natchos and some beers.
R. S.
Popped in for tea whilst we waited for the theatre. Good selection of beer, cocktails and softails. My daughter's vegetarian and usually a bit of a pain but they had an extensive and varied vegan/vegetarian menu. Staff were excellent even when I made a mistake with my order (forgot to ask for a pizza without a specific topping) the kitchen remade it fresh even though it wasn't their mistake and staff quick to remove finished with tableware out of your way. The upstairs seating in the window offers a nice view down China town. And even though the football was on the pub wasn't rowdy
A. F.
Went to O'Neill's on Friday. Had a banging time! Shoutout to Euan
A. K.
Friendly staff but too expensive. To be expected from Leicester Square but could offer more for your money.
R. M.
It was ok, music and the playing artists were great, until they decided to kick out my friend after asking for respect to a very rude and disrespectful kid. If this place start over selling alcohol and defending 1990's aggressive kids over the old generations, will probably became the place that no one wants to visit. Careful with the bad youngsters, they might turn a good night into a bad night.
M. D.
We bought the comedy and meal. I had the pizza and my partner had the burger.. Pizza was really really good and the burger my partner said the burger was tasty.
The comedy itself was great and the prices of the drinks weren't bad at all.
Thank you so much and I will return if I'm in London again!!
S. W.
Good service, nice selection of beers and good food deals.
F. C.
Fantastic breakfast, set up for the day.
K. B.
Great place to drink, dance, and overall have a great time. The different levels give a great variety. On Wednesdays there is no cover and a live band on top floor. If you enjoy live music you should definitely check it out. The selection of beer on tap is great too!
K. v. E.
Live music is the star of the show here, there’s always something to dance to. Fun atmosphere, with good drinks that average other drinks throughout London. Go on weekday nights to avoid cover charge. The age range varies a lot but always a good place for a drink and dancing.
A.
Great atmosphere! I love live music and the general vibe you can experience in this bar. Only one bar open tonight, that's a pity, it got busy super quickly.
T. B.
Great place for a night out. Need more bar staff though on a Friday. DJ played good songs bit couldn't mix so they need a better DJ. Band upstairs were really good.. would go again
P. V.
Very nice bartenders..good music and a vast variety of beers.. I liked it..
V. C.
Simple pub with outdoor seating.
Free use of toilets!
Good drinks and TVs
R. P.
Lovely venue for late night.
A. E.
The live band was awesome and the drinks were on point. If you want to grab a drink and sing along this is the place for you. Upstairs had the band and a bar while downstairs was just a bar where you could still hear the music and was a little more low key.
S. V.
London without O'Neill's is not London.
The front door guys are amazing.
I love the place.
T. R.
Great atmosphare friendly staff good music been there a few times its a good night
B. J.
Classic O'Neills and can't beat it! Delicious cocktails!
M. L.
Really nice place, good atmosphere, good distancing measures. Great selection of drinks and food. Music is good and normally they have live music that are great.
I. H.
This pub was very exciting to walk into, with people enjoying it in the evening for food and drink but also for the football match playing. We were very happy to have vegan and vegetarian options available, showing that they cater to people of many different lifestyles! The pub was very clean and the toilets were nice as well. I look forward to visiting again!
B. S.
We were able to catch the NFL game and listen to a great cover band. People from black tie weddings to T-shirts were showing up. Great melting pot for a late night pint
j. w.
Great place. Great pub grub.
S. M.
Decent spot in London. Great selection of drink on offer and it's a good place to enjoy live music. Bit much calling it an Irish pub as it's not overly authentic. Still good though!
A. M.
Wonderful live music. Very helpful staff.
J. C.
Used to be a favourite of mine. Open til 3am most nights and has 3 floors, a big smoking area on the roof, and reasonably priced drinks.
But the first floor which has a dancefloor and plays commercial music is always unpleasantly overcrowded.
The second floor has much more space but has the same boring band in every week playing the exact same cheesy songs. Feels like groundhog day coming here.
Change the entertainment please. It's long overdue
A. B.
Good sporting pub/bar. Reasonable pint prices and the food looked good! However... a lack of stools / drinks ledges made watching the football game uncomfortable (having to stand and hold your drink).
G. B.
Didn't stay long but if you like live music give it a try 🍻
c. r.
Nice place, and awesome team.
M. S.
Amazing band and really nice atmosphere 👏🏼
a. n.
Great music.
W. i.
Food was amazing and music was good
A. M.
Really great pub
L. G.
If you love friendly Irish pubs, with a good vibe. This is certainly the place to go.
E. “.
Comedy of errors when ordering food.
A friend had to explain the order for ten minutes until someone that knew the till turned up. Even then they still only managed to get 5 out of 6 orders right....
Was told at 625 the area was had been reserved even though we were sat there for an hour before. They let us stay but they told 2 other tables to move. The booked party never showed... All in all a bit of a shambles for a midweek visit.
Food was also very average, I was expecting it and was happy but my guests were frustrated and unimpressed. All in all we agreex, better to go for a Chinese when in this area...
Beer was good reasonable prices too. I think they just had a bad evening.
A. D.
Live music is normally really good
J. L.
A lively and crowded party pub at night with live music and dancing till very late. It's a bit calmer in the day with plenty of seating and decent food served. The bouncers are friendly and the atmosphere is great.
D. C. P. A.
Awesome place! I had a lot of fun, the vibe was great, especially with the band that we saw (that guy can sing everything!!). You can tell everyone was having a good time there. Worth to explore if you're around.
S. S.
Had a wonderful experience will definitely come again
S. M.
Good pub, super central, good selection of drinks and they show sports with plenty of big screens around. Also they have some really good live music too which is great and the space is rather big with 2 floors. Staff are nice and the food isn't too bad either. Good place to meet friends.
I. M. e. S.
It's a good place for going with friends, having some drinks and dance, but it's nice to check the agenda (the days with live music are the best ones while some days with DJs are not that good). Usually there's quite a big line to enter the place, specially on Fridays, but it tends to go fast. The staff is ok, not the most cheerful one but not a disturbing one as well.
E. W.
Love a Saturday night here. A nice mix of people. Live music or DJ. Plus no matter how busy it is there is always lots of staff on hand so I rarely have to wait long to be served.
A. G.
Great pub and atmosphere. Met loads of friendly people watching the American football on Thursday 28th November, including Jack from Newcastle. He left his bag, coat, keys and work stuff with me. Your number didn't save, please get in touch. Suze
H. F.
Very affordable pub in central with a relaxed atmosphere.
Food is more focused on quantity rather than quality - but what do you expect for £7-8!
Great place to watch the sport with numerous screens throughout. Much more a day time drinking spot than night destination.
N. L.
Oh I will definitely be returning to this place. The drink specials were excellent. Buy 1 get 1 free prosecco and half off bottles of wine. What more could a woman ask for. Excellent and lively location. I ordered the beef and ale pie which was delish. I had to hold back from licking the plate. (Don't tell my mother). I really wanted the Sunday roast but they were all out of chicken which was unfortunate but I guess it worked out for me because I still loved what I ordered.
A. B.
Excellent for live music on Fridays and Saturday nights - they don't skimp on the bands. Drinks are average priced for the area (£5 a pint), its roomy (3 floors) and gets packed after 10 pm on most weekends. The crowd consists mainly of pissed men and few lost women. Underage females regularly try to get in (but are rejected by the professional bouncers) and it often turns into what looks like a university party with tourist kids in their late teens flooding the place.
M. C.
Popped into O'Neills to give our feet a break from walking. As we were not hungry we didn't order food but intrigued by the chicken wing roulette starter. As a chicken wing lovers any dish that has 48 chicken wings will get my attention!!!
We had a Pepsi and a lemonade which were fine, the bar was not mobbed as it was early afternoon and a table was easily available.
L. W.
More of a music pub than an Irish pub as it has live bands on most if not all nights of the week. It's actually the old "Whisky a go go" or "Wag" club where big names such as James Brown, Kool and the gang and Georgie Fame once played. David Bowie also once filmed a video at the Wag club in the 80s. Current pub also does reasonable pub food.
S. T.
Great place for a night out with friends if you love to hit the dance floor. Good vibe and good selection of music. They have three floors, often with live bands on the first and second floors, and an excellent little smoking terrace on the roof. Drinks can be a little pricey, but no more than elsewhere in Soho. They will charge an entry fee on Friday and Saturday nights, so arrive early to avoid the extra cost and inevitable queueing.
J. G. S.
Awesome pub of 4 floors with a roff/terrace in the forth floor for smoker and people who prefer to enjoy the sky. In the third floor you will listen live music from 8pm! It also has very nice atmosphere so it totally worth!
P. L.
Favourite place for Friday nights
R. M.
Largely a fun evening, however unfriendly and overzealous door staff and a couple of sub par Guinness make it a bit troublesome to score higher than 3/5. Worth it for an organised night, would avoid impromptu visits.
K. B.
Had my work leaving party here and it was great. Had a large spacs booked and it was the perfect size and area for it. They blocked the area off for us and had my name to let people know where it was.
Drink selection is very good. Lots of beers, ciders, lagers on tap.
One thing I would gripe about is that the staff didn't know what a tab was only the manager knew what that was. He had to teach all of them individually how to deal with it. Which is a bit odd.
N. B.
I went several times with friends in the evening, always a nice place to have a drink and fun. Very good bands come to play, we have never been disappointed. Very good Irish pub.
K. W.
Great evening with live music and lovely cocktails
D. M.
Good live music, Bar staff mostly friendly. Apart from one guy who was trying to rush me to finish my pint just before closing time, even though I had just ordered it .
D. G.
Great pub. Welcoming, lovely Guinness and happy bar staff. Allowing kids too was a massive bonus especially as 1) it was half term and 2) as a dad of 3 and it being my birthday helped make my day!
J. A.
This pub is great to come to even if it’s just for the music. The vibe inside is really cool, they have live bands playing on certain days. It’s HUGE! The pubs’ got from the group floor to the rooftop and covers 4 levels
D. M.
If you like rowdy Americans and over-priced micro brews, this is the place for you. This multi-level bar is a good "first week in London' stop," but it's not a place to frequent if you want an authentic London pub experience, and unless you really like hearing a cover band belt out 90s hits. It's a fun place for a night, but gets old pretty quick. Nevertheless, the atmosphere is infectious and certainly won't be a wasted outing.
B. B.
Nice place, good beer, good food.
K. S.
Love this pub. Amazing cocktails and cheap deals for London. Brilliant hospitality.
D. P.
Always lively. The place in London that you know it'll be always full and open til 2
M. K.
Somehow I always have crazy nights in here. If you like pubs with live music, where you can be yourself - that's your place! Although, get ready to stand the whole night as it's not crowded with seats or bar stools.
S. M.
Fun night, lively and lots of choice for what to do (pub, dancing, bands). Always a good option in the day as well, as it's big, and an intestering building to look round. Due to its size and how busy it can be it can feel a bit sticky in places.
g. b.
Good beer bar food
L. G.
If you love friendly Irish pubs, with a good vibe. This is certainly the place to go.
M. S.
Amazing band and really nice atmosphere 👏🏼
C. G.
We frequented here on Thursdays because there was no cover, and it’s a good location. The drinks aren’t that expensive by London standards. The live bands are good, but the music they play when the band leaves is not very good. There is usually a lot of Americans, but when I went there were also some aggressive guys who claimed to work in the Queen’s Guard.
j. d.
Visited as part of a tour group from the Crown Princess on Sunday June 30th. I have to say the fish and chips were incredibly delicious. Additionally , my 23 year old daughter , who is gluten intolerant , couldn't stop talking about how good her meal was ! She said it was probably the best GF meal she ate on the entire cruise ! Thank you for a great experience and good memories to cherish.
V. V. (. V. V. T.
Brilliant bar. Very lively and really cool. Definitely recommend
A. P.
Was a great night atmosphere and staff where brilliant, also great result on the football
M. F.
One of my favourite friday and saturday nights pub. Music si great, live bands and dj's as well. There are three floors plus a smoking area on the top
E. M.
Please ignore any 1* reviews! This bar was ridiculously fun and staff were lovely! Live music, good price drinks, different levels and rooftop bar were great! Door staff and toilet ladies were all hilarious and v accommodating
N. M.
Very reasonably priced for central London
A. B.
Very good place to have a drink with friends, families. ( like a get together). The pub looks very spacious which had downstairs, upstairs but very full which its good. Would definitely come again.
K. B.
Friendly, food very average.
P. W.
Great bar with great music
A. A.
Nice space to meet with friends, big and cool. The staff looked nice, only the girl which was serving us was a bit too rude! My only suggestion is low the music a bit down during early hours so people can actually speak with each other
M. M.
Great place to hangout and party. Mojito was too good
J. L.
Service was slow for food even though not many people were in the pub. Couldn't set up a tab had to pay as you go
I'd still go back now I understand their ordering process. Nice clean toilets
T. S.
Staff are friendly, table service is great and we enjoyed our evening. Carlo was serving us and he was so much fun.
A. B.
Really disregarding barman on the ground floor ( chubby gey) he seemed very angry to be there, pretended he can't understand "gin with tonic please" and kept saying "sorrrry?!" Irritated. He did not say hi, buy, please, absolutely nothing and not half a smile. In the end he put lime in the glass with bare hands. We went to the top floor and Irish barman there was very nice and professional.
P. R.
Went in the afternoon, it was fairly empty. Beer prices were friendly and so were the staff. Lots of space, I'm sure it gets crowded in the evening. Decent Irish pub interiors and good snacks.
S. G.
Way too loud music but it's open late for drinks and atmosphere is also good.
M. E.
Best night out in London. Even in COVID times. Wardour o'Neills is the O.G of late night venues in Soho. Team fantastic, food even better and the doormen are the friendliest man about town 😀🙂
C. G.
Great live music and atmosphere
E. M.
It's been two decades since I visited here for the first time. My mates and I enjoyed the food and nice drinks. Hopefully coming back soon.
A. M. G.
Nice enough place. Comes into its own during match days. Something was very satisfying about eating a big roast dinner with a pint of Guinness while watching Dublin win the all Ireland. The food and drink was delicious by the way.
P. A. R.
Real cool pub with live music all night
A. J.
I can highly recommend this place. It is a nice pub, if I go out I always choose it. There are more floors, so you can choose what kind of music you like. There are also live music bands and they are good.
For an unforgattable night with friends it is the perfect choice.
F. M.
Bouncers are good and friendly. Food and drink price are reasonable. Great place to party on Friday and Saturday night. Get to meet all kinds of people all over the world. Fun place to be on a weekend.
L. N.
One of the places that my friends and I frequented.
Fun place, good prices for food! Beer is reasonable too. Actually, on second thought, is anything reasonable in London?
We came to watch games and just sit around and drink beers.
I had to yelp it before I forgot about it. I miss you!
P. M.
Security friendly as always. I Like the table service! Fast and efficient. Miss the live music though! Any update on when this will be returning?
A. H.
Excellent good value meals and friendly staff, surroundings very clean and well presented.
A. R.
We found the live music underwhelming and quite loud. Service is okay. The atmosphere is not very special. There was a strange odour throughout the bar the night we went there.
J. S.
We were there last year and had a great time. Great cover band.. and i look forward to visiting again when i'm in london next week... .are Thursday nights still a good night to go?
E. W.
I find it quite funny that in China Town there is not one but two Irish pubs! It's very much what you'd expect from a chain of this type. Drinks aren't cheap but also not extortionate. Atmosphere is fine. Pretty average all round!
T. S.
Really nice place although the door staff told me I couldn't come in with food. I said it was my shopping from tesco, it was in a shopping bag as well, so he let me in. Bit weird I thought. There is more than one bar and two floors. They had live music and it was great.
C. P.
Nice place just off China Town. Newsagent next door. Opens towards afternoon. Until then try the corner shop next door or Chinese Dim Sums and Tsingtao beer in bottles.
Clean and tidy. Nicevbirnce
Great views. Spacious and quiet.
Food and drinks on the menu.
A. W.
Based on how they handle covid I'd rate it a 2 but I've been here before and would of put it as a 4.
If you go in at the moment be ready for a wait. They are cramming alot of customers in and doing table service for drinks.
W. i.
Food was amazing and music was good
D. W.
Had our work Christmas party there last year, the place is well equipped with a few dance floors on different levels, a roof top terrace and ample toilet facilities
S. V.
O'Neill's has a great atmosphere, with daily live music, and it's always a right choice for a good time with friends. One of my favourite places in central London - super recommend it!
L. F.
This place is always packed, especially in the weekend where you may expect to pay for entrance. They often do live music and have three floors with 3 different bars. It's often quite busy and loud, so it's a decent place to have drinks with friends and listen to some music, maybe make new friends with tourists from everywhere in the world. It's an music historical location: here have played Beatles, Rolling Stones and many other famous bands and performers.
P. L.
Very different now with the pandemic. You are taken to a table on any of the floors and you are tied to it. If that's your thing then enjoy. Not a criticism but just the reality!
J. V.
Nice Irish pub, loads of tvs with sports, affordable prices in drinks and a decent menu.
Great place for a few drinks on a weekend.
P. G.
Good pub with live music (but too loud), there is a good atmosphere but often way too crowded. It is open till late which is good.
I have been there a lot of nights and I would say it is good but there are so many better things around.
E. S. F.
It’s an Irish bar set in the middle of Chinatown playing live American music... Can’t beat a combo like that! Hands down one of the best places to go and have fun in SoHo!
S. D.
Nice Irish pub - very touristy though due to the location - which comprises of three floors plus rooftop. There's a live gig on one of the floors almost every day of the week, and top hits music on the rest for people more interested into "clubbing".
J. H.
Was in on a Saturday afternoon during the Six Nations. The England/Italy game was being shown on many visible but unobtrusive screens. The commentary was only turned on after management were reminded the game had started, but I think this was just because they were very busy focusing on customers.
K.
One staff member went out of her way to find me a table after moving me for the band (I have bad joints!). This was so helpful, I would have had to leave, as I can't stand up for long. The music was good too!!
L. A. d. P.
You know, I can't complain. When all the pubs close at midnight and ya mates still wanna go for a drink, "shall we go O'Neill's?" is the common question.
It always gets messy, there's always a live band that play the same reliable tunes everyone knows the words to. There is usually way more men than woman here. There are loads of security that keep the place in line.
Keep in mind this is a plan B option usually and should not be experienced as a planned night out. Also all this is based on weeknights.
D. H.
Good Irish bar in centre of London. Guinness probaly best I've had in UK. Loads of TV screens and they will show GAA no bother.
Food is nice, But expensive for what you get portions wise.
K. L.
1 Budweiser and 1 Malibu and coke. £10.80. polite staff.
W. J.
A bustling pub in the heart of Soho! There has been live music every night I've been there, with a vibe you'll rarely find outside of Dublin - come before 8pm if you want a table and chairs as it gets a bit difficult to find one after these times.
There's a great selection of beer and cider, with it being priced at around £5.50 - pretty standard for the centre of London. They also do a wide range if cocktails, similar to wetherspoons but in fancier glasses!
The food is good also, with a gastro pub menu and options for vegetarians and vegans. Just be prepared to wait a little longer if it's busy.
They show big matches on big flat screen Tv's.
There is a smoking terrace on the roof and fairly well kept toilets.
W. S.
Even in lockdown, it's a good atmosphere. The staff managed to find enough room for our group. I would definitely go there again.
D. C.
What do you expect from a central London pub? All the trappings of tourist hell + it is Irish! Cliché to the max. Food is okay, not too pricey, staff are usually lovely. Avoid if a football/rugby match is on - too noise, too packed. Beers of the standard brewery dross, nothing exciting.
M. L.
Good club (free entrance) and good prices 8£ a 🍺 Music sometimes is quite old and weeding party, but still being free entry so if you don't like, just leave hehe good location in middle of Soho and people inside is all from UK and some Chinese people, not reguetton at all
D. S.
Favourite place for a night out. The music, the vibe and pretty much everything is so good. Drinks are with decent price and the service is really cool as well. 100% would recommend it.
R. H.
Essentially a Wetherspoons without the price range you know and love. Poor selection on draught, mainly macrobrews (heineken, amstel etc). Be prepared to pay upwards of £6 for a pint. Plenty seating and a warm relaxing ambience.
R. B.
We went here for a comedy night. We had a great time. The drinks were reasonably priced and the event was well organised. We may come back on our next trip to London!
D. G.
Recently renovated, the new layout is a big improvement... much more spacious feeling and nicely decorated. Good selection of bitters: Doombar, Fullers etc. Open kitchen area at the back with wood burning pizza oven. Saw several tasty looking pizzas being brought to tables.
Good place for a drink pre dinner in Chinatown
D. L. F. M.
Had an awesome time at O'Neils!! Such a great variety of ales and ciders, was able to discover some really amazing ones like Strongbow Darkfruit which I absolutely loved.
Went on a night where they had a rock band playing some oldies and had a blast! Place was packed but it's so large that it really doesn't bother you much. Really easy to find right in the beginning of Chinatown...would definitely recommend visiting!
K. D.
It's open till 2am. Pretty boy standard pub in chinatown. Basic cocktails , rounds are pretty expensive.
K.
Great atmosphere. The music selection is awesome. I recommend this place any day. It's the sort of place you go to before a party, and you leave there feeling pumped!
H. G.
Cool and reasonable priced spot in the centre of Soho for late drinks with live music. Not very advisable on peak days if you hate large crowds of (often drunk) people on a mating mission.
D. G.
Always my first port of call for a drink and a spot of people watching over Chinatown. Lots of happy times here except for one where my ipod was stolen sadly. Great music, great atmosphere and a brilliant location.
S. P.
Nice atmosphere...Amazing live music and few drinks... here you go a Stunning night out in London. Love it!!
F. G.
Delicious food!!! Is perfect👌🏻
M.
This is a great place to visit on a night out in the West End. Located in Chinatown, just a few minutes from Leicester square. There are several levels with different bars, so even when it's busy, you can still usually get served.
S. M.
Good, lively place to drink. Drinks were a reasonable price.
S. B.
Bland chain pub with plastic pint glasses. Relatively cheap for West End, loud music and football on tv. Ok for a pre / post drink before dinning somewhere nice, not a 'go to' Saturday night party place with atmosphere; unless what I've described above is your ideal Saturday night then it's prefect.
I. G.
The Band were really good
N. S.
An average pub (as one would expect froma chain) but with the central London prices. I paid over £6 for a pint. However, with screens all over the place, including some giant one, the pub is a pretty good venue for watching sport.
S. R.
Decent prices considering the area.
Seems in England, a burger is automatically cooked well-done, whereas I prefer medium or medium-rare. Good chips. Colcannon was my first and was worth a try for sure.

Good pint of Guinness and good choice of other beers and ales.
Down side....staff were all miserable! Come on if you have chosen to deal with the public than at least have a smile 🙂.

Very busy, very diverse crowd, on the Thursday night that I went there was a live band playing although they only sang covers, and to begin with I did think it was karaoke night... Prices were reasonable considering the central location of the bar

If you want to have fun, go there. 1st floor a big bar, 2nd floor a fence floor where you can dance, 3rd floor very good live music!! A little bit expensive if you go late in the night (10£)

Great live music

Great ambience. Reasonable priced drinks for location. Decent selection of food. Great DJ sets on the weekends. Lively atmosphere and the layout inside is well set out.

There's nothing better than some fine live music. I love my fellow Irish lads, no better place to be on St. Paddy's

What can I say... Not the best place to go out but you can hardly go wrong. Free/Not to expensive to get in, the booze is fairly priced, there’s commercial music and rock live covers upstairs twice a night on weekdays.

GREAT Music. Love the live band. All three floors have a great vibe. In spite of the humungous crowd the service is excellent. Prices are very reasonable so excellent VFM

Had lunch there and eveything was good but what impressed me most was the waitress came to our table and told us she had accidently over charged us for a meal and refunded us for it. I had not realize this as no itemized bill was provided as I paid at the bar. Always nice to see a honest person.

I went in here for a coffee. Although I only wanted a black coffee, it took absolutely ages to make. I had to visit here the following day and it was the same then. Also my friend had a latte and it had gone up in price overnight from £2.35 to £2.70.

Great place to have a drink. A lot space and it seems that it gets busy at night. Not outside drinks are allowed and there is security and bag check point at the doors.

Lovely pub with great beers and flat screen TVs!
