Fantastic! We stopped going out to restaurants due to so much bad service (also covid I guess). We were going lego land so decided to try a greene king restaurant. Upon arriving you notice how beautiful the building looked with all the plants and flowers everywhere, this continued inside. The staff - incredible, just incredible. Absolute credit to greene king. Really friendly welcome, extremely helpful, and knowledgeable about the menu (my child has a nut allergy). We ordered on the greene king app, and the drinks were there in rapid time, shortly the meals also came. The meals were very tasty and good quality. We don't eat meat and the menu offered a great selection of plant based/vegetarian options. I've never experienced service like this before, if this was my local I'd be there every week! Thank you to the team!

This pub used to have a good vibe, now it's an old man's spot till 8pm when they shuffle out and the teenagers shuffle in after them! Its a green king pub so food menu is adept and affordable. Staff could be a bit happier!

Music was very Good and beautiful.. Nice live singing and DJ was good. Food is very yammy - absolutely delicious fish &chips and big burger with cheese and mesh potatoes wirh pie. Nice, warm atmosphere between Christmas trees. Lots of space/room for sitting in the club. Absolutely recommend for dining out and eating good food, and for some dancing party as well.

Quite a cavernous establishment. Quick, polite and happy service by the staff, thoroughly welcoming. Plenty of both keg and Cask on offer. Loads of big screens dotted around for sports lovers. An ideal venue for groups. Well worth a visit!

Really suprised by the food quality and portions. The price might seem high to some but once you see what you get, it's worth every coin. I recommend the steak and ale pie, I don't even like ale! But it was amazing. Make sure to follow it with the Oreo Cheesecak! You will not be dissapointed!

I was in on a Wednesday night and it was very quiet (not necessarily a bad thing). There's comfortable seats and lots of space, good for group's. The music was a bit dated, but not bad. This is by far the nicest pub in Chiswick , beautiful surroundings , friendly, accommodating team. Place seems to have recently had a refurb/ face lift so thumbs up to them. Covid restrictions in place but very easy to navigate all and awesome quick service. Love spending time here with mates!

One of the few pubs in the area to retain a traditional feel, rather than a bar/restaurant vibe. Excellent seating out the front, great for watching the world go by. Always something happening on Chiswick High Road. Loads of seating inside too, always get a seat. Loads of beers on tap, too many if anything.

I’m giving this pub 5 stars. They’ve just got everything right. Yes in Chiswick, there a bunch of cooler places than the packhorse but give this place a chance because I think it has better food and better value for money than any of them...portion sizes and prices are amazing! £14.50 for a half a chicken AND sirloin steak roast! That’s incredible. They’ve got the balance of sport and family pub right too

Had a lovely Sunday afternoon with my wife ordered food and drinks through the green King app so easy staff were very efficient only 1 problem had to wait for drinks quiet a while but that was resolved very quickly ,I think it was the duty manager then offered me and my wife a drink on the house, what a nice gesture and him and his staff worked as a great team and are a credit to your company

Had a Christmas dinner there last night. Affordable drinks and a nice space to sit as a group but the food wasn't good at all. We were all disappointed with the price to quality ratio. I had a 'festive pie' as a main but could not see much festivity in it. Just bland with lots of what looked and tasted like cheap sausage meat inside. Maybe a tiny piece of turkey was thrown in ....starter (prawn coctail) would be nice if served with better quality bread and cheeskake dessert was fine but, again, quite average with a very mediocre icecream scoop. I would not recommend this pub as a Christmas dinner venue- there were 27 of us and we ordered a variety of meals but none of my colleagues liked their food. Even 'festive burgers'( one would think a safe option) were dry and tasteless.

The Packhorse & Talbot is a good pub in Chiswick. The service is good and the staff are friendly. If you go there on a wednesday night it's normally full of football fans. And it's a bit uncomfortable. If you don't like football you could visit George The IV which has open mic. But in their defence i went there on friday 9/8/19. And it was a fairly good atmosphere and i enjoyed myself.

Went in on a whim during the UEFA Euro Cup. It was noisy and not many seats available. My wife and I were thinking of going somewhere else but found a tiny spot away from the speakers and thought to give it a try. We were not disappointed. The Sunday Lamb Supper Roast was hearty and delicious and the Lamb Shank pie was amazing. Great selection of beer too.

The Packhorse & Talbot is a historical traditional British pub in Chiswick, London since the 17th century. Today you can still enjoy the same feeling of the old British pub. Nice food, good prices and friendly staff. Open everyday from 11Am to mid night. But go early if you need a seat. Very busy in the night.
