Good pub with a little bit of a South African vibe. Nicely decorated with a bar space and separate dining room. Service was slow. Good outside drinking space for the summer months.

A nice reminder of home 🇿🇦 Great pub that serves South African braai food. The meat is very tender and well seasoned. The braaibroodjies are always a treat and sometimes sell out so best to order early! They also sell nice South African wine and springbokkie shots. All orders can be made on the app or with the waiters, who are very friendly and helpful. The pub does get busy on match days which leads to long waiting times but worth the wait.

Staff was lovely and accommodating, however service was a little slow. Tbone was overcooked and flavourless and chips overcooked and very oily. The staff kindly gave us another one, it was better but still flavourless. Sausage was also dry and the sweet potato cheese was more a dessert than a side.

Great Brunch Spot! Awesome to have a different choice than the usual Avo on Toast! Went for the Braai Up which was good to perfection. Bloody Mary was incredible and the wine selection is ace! Super dog friendly with treats, water bowls and doggie blankets. Must try spot!

Visited pub for the first time, only ordered drinks. I would like to quote the dialogue with the bartender: -Hi, can I have a pint of Neckoil please -We ran out but there’s this .. pale ale which is similar but not fizzy -that’s ok, my friend can come over and choose what they like. Can I have a single shot of vodka, sofa water and fresh lime please -yes sure -Can I have some crisps please -We don’t have crisps -That’s fine, can I pay in cash please -No, it’s card only Unfortunately, the only free table was next to a group with 5-year-olds who kept screaming the whole time and running around - they’d all seemed to have taken their wellies and shoes off too and these were scattered all over the floor so anyone could have tripped. Had the vodka and left as fast as possible. Don’t think I would be going back but again, it could have been a one-off unpleasant experience.

Lovely outdoor seating and very dog friendly. Sunday roast is really quite bad - chicken is cooked well but the yorkshire more closely resembles a tube than the classic shape. One carrot and two sad stems of broccoli alongside under salted potatoes to accompany. I assume the South African fare is better. The drinks are good though!

The trifector of perfection. Amazing food especially the pork terrine and chicken, the staff where perfectly on point and so so kind. We had an amazing staff member named Mikey, who was incredible, I have crohn's so sometimes I get triggered and he kindly packaged all our food up and was no pressure to leave. The food was incredible and a perfect date, also loved how the Christmas decorations where subtle and pretty, let alone sitting next to a cosy fire place.

The first time in 15 years I've had a South African restaurant meal in London and felt homesick it was so good. The sosaties platter is out of this world! Even the giant cous-cous, goats cheese, butternut, raisin and rocket salad was amazing - and I don't do salad. Service was great (even if the app is a bit clumsy) and to have live music made our Friday evening. Keep it up guys. We will see you soon.

Park Tavern is a meat lover's dream and combined with their exceptional choice of wines at great value pricing, I've been back again and again. The latest addition of a 1kg aged lamb's ribs is the stuff of legends. Try this. You won't regret it! Then there's the steak... Oh my goodness....The steak. There's just something about a perfectly grilled steak with that rich, smoky flavours from the braai that makes my mouth water. Generous portion sizes with plenty of sides makes this one of my favourite dishes at Park Tavern. I highly recommend this fine establishment as a great choice to satisfy your caveman cravings and also perfectly acceptable for date night!

Pretty friendly staff. Location ok. Really pretty inside. Gorgeous historic preservation. We sat in the front garden which wasn't awesome but fine for a quick pint. Were asked to order off app although other people around us ordered directly from server. I think it was a busy day in the back beer garden (which looked a lot more fun), to be fair. Waited for twenty minutes for beers while everyone around us served. Asked about our beers. Was told WiFi was down. Proceeded to watch the servers continue to give others around us drinks. Went inside to ask again. Told beers were coming. Waited more time. Got beers from an unapologetic server. Probably just an off day.

Such great service!!! I've been here many many times over the years and always had a lovely relaxed enjoyable experience but after a recent visit this past weekend I was compelled to write this review as the staff certainly deserve a shout out. Two separate members of staff went to extra lengths to ensure one of our party were made comfortable by offering and arranging a chair with a back on (we had been seated on tables with benches outside), we didn't ask or even intend to ask for help or for a more comfortable chair but they were both just astute enough and caring and considerate enough to see her struggle and offer their help. I have worked in the hospitality industry myself for many years and now work in healthcare and I just felt these guys really deserved some recognition! I only managed to get one of their name's 'Tony' but the other young girl there will know who she is - Thank you both, your kindness meant that we stayed longer than intended and therefore spent more in your lovely establishment! Well done Park Tavern Team!

They’ve recently refurbished and the new look is very impressive . My husband and I were very impressed. Also the beer garden is really well put together and out of the elements for COVID times .

A great (traditional) London pub. Tastefully decorated with log fires and a real ambience. Excellent food with a decent selection of ales and wine. However, what really makes this pub outstanding is the genuine community feel - whoever you are (and wherever you’re from) you’ll be made to feel welcome. The manager and staff are exemplary. Creating such a hospitable environment is a real achievement. And if you want a pub for sport, specifically Rugby, you really shouldn’t go anywhere else. Wholeheartedly recommend.

really lovely pub. Bar staff are excellent. outside areas back and front are really well presented. Huge improvement. The only thing that let it down was the fact that they had run out of vodka, and then run out pink gin. Not ideal at all when you've gone out for a drink.

Okay look I know I’m a South African but this place really took the cake home! Haven’t felt this close to home in ages! Only had a few drinks and some sides. The atmosphere was like being in a place right from the heart of South Africa even though it was lockdown. The barman was sound AF as they say in London! Nice place, nice food, 1 weird experience. So we went there for a colleagues leaving drinks. The pub was half empty/half full, depending on your outlook on life, but it was far from busy. We asked one of the waiters to take a picture of us for a keepsake of the get together and he said abruptly, "No I'm too busy." I'm not saying we should get special treatment or anything but there was 10 of us and the drinks ain't cheap. He could have spared 30 seconds to take our picture. He made it proper awkward by not doing it. Just ridiculous. Beer lines could be doing with a clean also. Beers were a little flat and tasted funny. Food was nice.

Delighted to say that this place (was our local) was a lovely surprise, when we popped in for Sunday lunch yesterday. We had boycotted it for a few months, due to rude and indifferent service by two members of staff. However, yesterday there was a lovely welcome back from the friendly Kiwi bar man and others. Fine for drink but food pretty second rate. How can it be difficult to get halloumi burger and chips right in 2021?

Went for a birthday meal, Sunday for late lunch. And the footie was on so not many people eating lunch. Park Tavern offered Sunday roast indoor and BBQ American style outdoor. I'm guessing the same chef was split between to services and the whole thing suffered. It took almost 45 minutes to get our food (we enquired twice with bar staff) and when it arrived the veg were very overcooked. Meat was average and was smothered in gravy, which was very thick and didn't match the meat it was served with. I suspect the staff were at the effect of having to supply punters with too much choice with too few workers and it showed with presentation and flavour. My recommendation is check other people's feedback before ordering on the day. I didn't both with a picture to go with this review because it just wasn't up to scratch..

Alright for late afternoon drinks, especially in the summer with the outside seating. Not tried much of the menu but the sunday roast was disappointing, it's what i would call a 'London' roast dinner, were you get three little roast potatoes and some kind of meat and a sample of vegetables. Fortunately there are five takeaways outside so not really an issue.

Amazing food! I've been going to the Tavern for years and I took a friend from out of town for burger night (Tuesdays) and we both had the best burgers ever! New chef who is making great changes to how the food taste! Very impressed.

It's my local pub. The staff there are very friendly and know us quite well now it seems. I enjoy the atmosphere of the place. It so many different types of people come to this place; from families, old people, young adults, mid-aged, etc. They have some board games and they have little events going on like the beer festival a while ago which you could drink a number of different ales from around the country.

My son had his 18th in the Park Tavern last week - they had a table in the newly refurbished, very nice garden, the app worked perfectly for remote beer orders from home to them (!), the chicken wings & nachos were delicious & Luke and the team looked after them wonderfully - great local pub, v nice to be able to go visit again :-)

Good beer selection, friendly table service and a really tasty honeycomb parfait dessert on our visit. Fish and chips a bit disappointing - the chips particularly (heavy rather than fluffy in the middle), maybe ask for skinny fries (like those which came with the fishfinger sandwich, which was good) next time. There's a back yard with several tables, but "garden" is a bit of a stretch.

The Park Tavern is an excellent pub. The majority of staff are welcoming, chatty and quick to serve. There is a superb pub quiz in a Wednesday night (booking essential it is very popular!), as well as Steak nights and fantastic pizzas. The spicy chicken pizza is delicious. The real ale selection is small but thoughtful.
