Visited Pope Street on Sunday afternoon with family including twin toddlers who had a great time. Absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish. Food delicious and filling, ambience and vibe perfect. Service was outstanding. Welcoming, knowledgeable, attentive, and happy, friendly staff. Loved it here and will definitely be coming back.

The Best Bar & Kitchen in New Eltham. Good Food, Cocktails, Drinks, etc. Well designed interiors with a Bar n sitting on both floors. Very safe setting and friendly Staff. Saturday Brunch and Interesting Food choices. Ideally located close to the Rail Station and other modes of Transport. Gets busy on weekends so better to make Reservations. Highly Recommended.

Great local pub. Outdoor storage is limited at the front and is on a busy road, but don't let this put you off. The staff are amazing and are really what makes this place so great. Friendly and very attentive. Would wholeheartedly recommend for food and for drinks. Can sometimes get busy though, so if you want an outside table on a hot day, book to avoid disappointment.

Had to change this from 5 to 3 stars waited over 90 minutes for our food, table that came in 15 minutes after us and who ordered after us revived their starters and mains before we even got our starters. Slightly disappointed as I've been coming here since it has opened and normally can't fault the experience. If there is a delay in the kitchen communicate with your customers and tell them, when the food came we had the mains and then where told the starters where coming...so had to cancel the starters, food tasted great.

Love it here! Food is always brilliant, great service and nice, relaxed atmosphere with a nice buzz as well. My only complaint would be that the music is a little loud for chilled-out dinner conversation...if that's what you're after, the noise level might put you off.

Really cool place. Bar has plenty of variety with beers and ales. Cocktails are good but a touch spiteful price wise I feel. Have been twice, both times ordered the sharing platter of smoked meat. 1st visit food was bang on. 2nd visit brisket was a little dry and the rest was just not quite as good as first visit. They did have a large party upstairs that may have explained it.

Good food and very attentive service, the venue is very nice but the upstairs is uninspired and lacks atmosphere. The Cocktails are not too bad but not very flavorful, especially the zombie which is usually very potent just tasted of pineapple. And the strawberry gin was served with different garnish than the menu which did not work

Food was really nice, portions a good size (not massive but quite generous). Service was good as well. Place was fairly busy so the atmosphere was pretty good. You're paying London prices for food and drink though so prepare yourself for that!

Lovely bar/restaurant at the corner of Footscray Road. The £5 cocktail deal 5pm-7pm (I think on weekdays) is great and the cocktails themselves are great. The food is delicious (especially all the dishes with jackfruit) and are big portions so very generous. Will be coming back again

A great little place to eat. Hard to book and you can see why with its popularity. Excellent draught beers and was able to sample some. Staff were very attentive and warming. Served 3 starters of pork nachos, halloumi skewers and califlower deep fried. All were excellent and great value. The mains we had were jerk chicken skewers and buffalow chicken. All food was really tasty and well priced. Would recommend this for all diets including some great choices for Vegans. Great first meal here.

Popped in on the off chance we were given a table they took our contact details and we sat and had an amazing plate of ribs with the most delicious sesame sauce , I enjoyed a wicked cocktail, next time we are in the area we will time it to have another lunch there

Chicken and mushroom pie was swimming in oil which wasn't possible to eat. After enquiring I was told by the manager that this was usual. It was a great shame as cocktails and accompaniments were really nice.

Very nice pub in New Eltham. It has opened where the old Nico's used to be. They have nailed with decoration and food selection. We no longer need to go to Bromley to have a meal in a nice environment. We took our babies with some friends and had a grate time. Highly recommended.

Absolutely loving having Pope St at New Eltham - they've done a fantastic job re-imagining the venue into something that melds hip warehouse and welcoming pub /bar. The atmosphere is super friendly, the team are brilliant, but best of all, the food is the best kind of comfort food done excellently. There's always something new in the craft beers, and as I'm sadly teetotal atm, their virgin mojito is a thing of wonder.

Very busy bar bit pricey, but good atmosphere and great chips! on the downside on paying our bill the waiter put the change £8.00 in his pot which we thought was very cheeky....we did get it back and because of that we didn't tip.🤔😒

Avoid this place if you actually want to hear what your friends say.The music is so loud and despite requests to turn it down ,it was still unbearable. We ate our food which was ok but could be better ,then left. They did say that the upstairs will be opening in a few weeks and that will be quieter.
