Reviews of Pressure Drop X Verdant The Experiment
H. S.
Coming from a big craft beer nerd, this is my favourite craft beer place in London.
A really chill atmosphere, with very friendly staff and, most importantly, an awesome selection of rotating draft and bottled / canned beer at reasonable prices!
Can’t recommend The Experiment enough for anyone with even a passing interest in craft beer.
L. O.
In the lovely beer haven of Bohemia Place The Experiment is a friendly spot. Brilliant beer menu, shared between Verdant and Pressure Drop. 2/3 is the standard size, which is perfect. Prices are good, as you're going straight to the suppliers here. No food, but we could order a Yard Sale Pizza and got free delivery with their deal. We went on a cold Jan night and it was a tad cold, however I'm sure this is an even better place in warmer weather and everyone can spill outside. Definitely worth some of your time.
N. M.
Verdant and Pressure Drop both make fantastic beer, but it's not served particularly cold at this location. We were ordering one thirds, and had to down them pretty fast. Brits will happily drink tepid beer, but as a non-Brit with certain standards I find the temperature unacceptable. We ended up going next door, where they have proper refrigeration. Overall a disappointing visit.

For what it is (a shared brewery taproom in a railway arch), you can't really fault the place. Nice selection from both Verdant and Pressure Drop on the keg lines, and a huge range of cans. Prices are just about as good as you'll find for these beers. Draft offerings sold in all measures, including 1/3, which is always nice. Friendly staff.
One mild grievance is that the draft lineup can sometimes focus pretty heavily on hazy pale/IPA/DIPA offerings (indeed, on my last visit, it was only hazy hops on tap), but beer geeks have only themselves to blame for that. At any rate, there are other styles available in can.
A must-visit beer stop in Hackney, if you ask me.

Can’t believe this place was empty. Verdant is a top brewery. Pressure drop is ok.
I do have to agree with other reviews thought, the beer is not only not cold but very thinly carbonated.
To make matters worse I was given a glass cracked in half. How can nobody notice this?

Joint venture between two mates, two brewery’s, Pressure Drop and Verdant. I had a 2/3 (no pints here) of Open House (£4.90), zesty and tropical, really liked it. Cool vibes and I imagine would be great fun when packed on an evening. Check it out. Goes without saying, good accessibility (situated under railway arch) with disabled toilet.
A. S.
Excellent little place. Limited selection but excellent beers from both companies along with a pretty great can/bottle selection. Prices are the best I've seen for these beers and taste really fresh. Well worth calling if you are nearby or a fan of these breweries.
A. G. B.
Good bar selling a couple of the best craft beers around. Some great other tap rooms/bars/food in the immediate vicinity. Well worth a visit if you like the hipster/craft beer scene. If you’re near by, it’s a must do for a couple of relaxed drinks.

Oh man, awesome. Great place at lively neighbourhood in Hackney. The freshest beers (mostly IPA's) from Pressure Drop and Verdant! From tap or to be taken home. You can also get pizza from next door to be eaten while you enjoy the beer. The beer is also ridicilously affordable compared to its quality! Top place!

Excellent beer choice, cool small place but good for big groups as they have seating outside too. Amazing variety of Verdant & Pressure Drop. Not really costly but medium prices. Atmosphere is really nice. Staff is bit busy but god for serving u greatly. Recommend place to visit
M. L.
Two of the best breweries in the country, but they need to improve the refrigeration at this location. The beer needs to be served colder, especially for the hazy New England style varieties they specialize in. Maybe it was an off day.
S. S.
Very good beers, but they don't offer full pints? Gives you more room to try multiple different beers though.
D. B.
Probably the best IPA's you can get in the UK, maybe Europe. Nice can selection, good prices, nice staff and nice atmosphere. Really liked this place! I was the happiest man on earth when i arrived there. Verdant beers are super hard to get in Germany, nearly impossible, only option is to order them from some UK-Shops plus some expensive shipping.
C. R.
Best beer bar in the UK. Better prices than Sheffield? How can that be, for a London based establishment?
Don’t let the value for money put you off - you will be drinking some of the finest beer the UK has to offer.
Fantastic selection that I had to go back to for a second night to get through (bizarre, as I had the whole of London to chose from?).
In short, cracking beer, cracking prices, friendly and efficient staff. Forget the rest - try this place for the best!
Thanks - we will be back!

Cornish juice merchants collab tap room with Pressure Drop = heaven. What ever you do, don’t order a pizza from Yard Sale! They took payment over the phone and never delivered my pizza. I phoned several times and was repeatedly lied and hung up on.
M. M.
Great beer selection we’re coming back for again and again (especially for sours)! But unfortunately very bad situation with ladies toilets, you should wait quite a long time at a peak taproom times. Hope this problem will be resolved soon as it is extremely uncomfortable.
D.
Great place to visit if you like beer has a relaxed atmosphere and is well worth a visit
L. O.
Quality breweries serving beer on draught at surprisingly affordable prices. Local pizza place delivers here.
S. M.
Best beer in London at better than London prices, friendly staff and you can order pizza there. What more do you want?
F. L. F.
(been there on march 2019) If you're a fan of the new wave of the modern Juicy/Hazy IPAs, look no further! Nice place with tons of options from both breweries.
M. T.
Friendly staff, querky interior but great atmosphere and drinks!
P. B.
With two of my favourite breweries opening a tap room i was bound to be happy. The venue is great, great choice of Verdant and Pressure Drop beers as you'd expect, might not be the best place if you're not a fan of IPA's and DIPA's though. Outdoor seating available and only a five minute walk from Hackney Central Station.
T. S.
This collaborative site run by Pressure Drop and Verdant breweries always has an excellent selection of great tasting beers.
Like many other London craft breweries, including two within 50 metres of it, it is based in railway arches. However no real brewing takes place here any more and so it should really be considered to be a tap room.
F. L.
When Verdant and Pressure Drop come together to open a joint taproom, it's going to be good. This is the best place to grab fresh drops from either brewery, at unbeatable prices. The vibe is chilled, and the beers are incredible. I wish I lived closer to this gem of a taproom.
M. A.
Love this place! Great beers
I. M.
Beer is decent, but not at the level of trillium/otherhalf/etc. The fact that this place doesnt allow tabs, has very closely packed picket tables (people bumping into each other a lot), and a makeshift trough urninal, makes the space uncomfortable so deducting 1 star. They do sell beer to go and the beer list is moderately similar to what they actually have on draft and in coolers.
C. B.
Great place in a railway arch in Hackney. Delicious beers from 2 of the UKs best breweries. Good pricing for craft beer and excellent friendly staff. Definitely worth the trip out to Hackney.
M. Z.
Lovely place...beautiful selection of beers
N. S.
I wish I lived closer to this wonderful place. Although I’d end up inebriated rather more than I should be. A nice atmosphere, great beer selection and knowledgeable staff. Will need a bit more heating as the nights get colder...!
I. W.
Great beer. Verdant & Pressure Drop cans at decent prices. Staff nice enough. Was pretty hot in there with the weather though.
K. L.
Everything you want in a craft beer bar - great beers, friendly and knowledgeable staff and a hidden but awesome destination. Had a great Sunday afternoon there and a less than great Monday as a result.
S. D. C.
I have been waiting for years for Pressure Drop to open a Taproom in this space! So glad they finally did. Beers are awesome and they get sun all evening, too. I will be back often.
A. O.
The beers are just great. Do try DIPA if you are there
M.
Great selection of ales on tap. Sometimes the parmo man is in town if you like that sort of thing (I don't personally) but the beer is great and the patrons are normal.
I. H.
Nice to see a new brewery, with great beer, and not overcrowded. The other nearby brewery is rammed, and sadly has lost its charm because of this. Guess that's the inevitable course in London, so get here before it's too late!!
W. G.
Great place for beer from these two brewers. Especially good if you want some big juicy beers... Real thick bois.
E. B.
Ridiculous beer selection. Some of the best craft beer in the country, straight from the brewer, so reasonably priced. Essential if you're a beer w#nker!
F. S.
As far as corrugated sheds go, look no further. Fantastic place for the godly nectars.
Z. H.
One of my favourite tap rooms in London if not the best. Always fantastic beers both on tap and in the fridge at reasonable prices.
R. S.
Best beer in the UK from two of the best breweries. Lots of taps and cans you can take away
B. S.
One of the best breweries in London and maybe the country. You can buy cases of beer here for a very reasonable price from very friendly staff
J. M.
The best place for craft beer in London. Superb pizza available from Yard Sale as well
L. H.
Great vibes and a lovely crowd. Redoubtable queues for the single toilet, ostensibly occupied by somebody who's yet to learn the way of the three shells, takes the toll of two gold stars.
J. R.
Great beers from two awesome breweries! If you like hazy IPAs it’s definitely a must visit.
P. E.
Absolutely brilliant place, awesome beer and great atmosphere and service 👍
F. -.
Beer = delicious.
Staff = I want to be friends.
Tables = wood from trees, very strong.
Plants inside = 70% perfect.
Closing soon = sad.
G. D.
What's better than having your favourite 2 breweries in one destination!
T. J.
Excellent range of beers. No frills but it’s a tap room so none expected!
K. A.
Great beers, nice vibes, and friendly staff - what more could you want?
E. s.
Nice collab here with a succinct beer list, would like to come back when there are a few more people as it was a bit soulless on a Sunday afternoon
E. M.
The best beers in London..... Verdant pressure drop and today they had duration also.
S. T.
Incredible beers and friendly star, great bar and bottle shop

Purveyors of excellent beers. Bosko is my favourite but only by a whisker; they're all ace!
K. K.
Verdant & Pressure Drop it is always pleasure

The music could have come straight from my playlist. 13th floor elevators, BRMC, Yuck.... The beer is good too.
