Reviews of Princess Victoria
H. F. A.
I am so satisfied with this bar that I can visit UK one more time for this place. the ambiance was great. The warmth of their welcome was also the harbinger of the service we will receive. Food and drinks were great. I recommend it to all tourists coming to London. You will be satisfied.

Been around 5 times in the last few weeks to the Princess Victoria and all I can say is that feels like home, I’m not used to write reviews but this pub really deserves a good one!
Every time I walk in the stuff is always been lovely and caring, especially one of the managers ,a nice girl with dark hair.

We arrived at this place for a meeting. This place was recommended to us by a friend. Well, it was a winning. The staff members welcomed us with a smile and we had a fantastic feeling. The food was just great. We loved this place very much and we will definitely return
D. L.
Attended our son and his fiancées wedding reception there last weekend and stayed 3 nights. We were extremely well looked after and found the staff to be very helpful despite being worked to a frazzle by 100 thirsty guests. Many thanks to Dan and the team!
N. L.
Very chillable place, comfy music and friendly staff. Would grab another beer again. Recommending for a part of a pub tour.
Z. B.
Best pub! Great place to meet friends. I’ve always enjoyed it here and staff have been very friendly. Thanks to Ezgi and Dan.
A. R.
Our local pub, the scotch eggs are incredible. Dog friendly too. Everybody should visit.
I. G.
The atmosphere was nice. The food was not too fancy but acceptable. Would recommend it if you want to have a chilled evening.
J. M.
Very fun pub quiz on Tuesdays and good pizzas. The quiz master kept up a good pace and finished the quiz in a good time. The vegan nduja pizza was really tasty too.
C. D.
This is an amazing place for fun with friends! Personals are pretty professional. Highly recommended pub!
A. M.
Just stopped in for a few drinks with friends. The music was great. Not overly crowded and the bartender was very nice.
A. S.
Pub atmosphere is quite warm and the staff is nice however the food was such a let down : no taste (no seasoning), cheap ingredients and some of them past due. Even though the place is nice, will not come back again
N. U.
The staff were friendly, particularly Ferda; she was humble, professional, and delivered excellent service; a pleasant atmosphere.

Love this pub, food is great and the staff are friendly and helpful even when it's busy.
B. B.
Thanks to Laura and all the team for making my son's wedding reception perfect in every way. You went out of your way to make sure everyone of our guests were looked after really well and they had only good things to say about the whole experience.

I am new to this area and I think this place became my temple for the rest of my life here. Kind staff, period style large interior, wide selection of tap beers, covid aware policy(also unlike many places they are warning people for mask, safety first). outdoor seating area is spacious, not surrounded by walls. respectful customers.
Pizzas are extraordinary.
Only thing I don't like about this place is its seriously expensive.
J. P.
Great pub, lovely outside space. Staff could be a tad friendlier.... maybe I caught them on a bad night 🌙
O. A.
Surprisingly nice pub not too far from a couple of tube lines. Nice looking food, great selection of drinks and plenty of seating available. Interesting mix of punters and overall quite pleasant
R. M.
Great Sunday roast lunch, tasty, decent portions, quick service great improvement from a few weeks back
V. K.
A very nice pub with great selection of beers and tasty food!
L. B.
Lovely place, friendly staff and nice food. Good prices too
J. F.
Went here purely for a pint and a pickled egg. Nice U shaped pub, but pretty pricey
S.
The best Bloody Mary in London! And the pizza's are excellent as well. Cracking pub, beautiful big grand interior. We love coming here. Can't wait to be able to sit inside again
J. H.
Lovely pub. Warm atmosphere. The food was great. Service was prompt. Staff were very friendly and efficient. Plus they were great with our two dogs we brought with us. Wish the pub was closer to home if I'm honest. Can't recommend this pub enough.
J. A.
Great place!! kids & families welcome with or without reservation, dogs friendly 🐈 and a fantastic menu.
a. L.
Great pub, lovely setting, super clean, great beer and great food. Top location. Can't go wrong.
M. W.
Interesting horseshoe bar layout with a centrepiece of many gins and spirits. Staff perfectly pleasant but the only two staff serving were rushed off their feet and waiting times were longer than I found acceptable. The bar has plenty of hard surfaces (floor, walls and ceiling) and no fabric to absorb the sound which meant that the noise level quickly became uncomfortable.
V. S.
Very nice service and a large selection of food and drinks.
k. j.
Love the service here! The rooms are decorated so nicely, the staff are very easy going and attentive. The food in the pub is great and is such good value for money. Location is ok, you would need city mapper if you didn't know london very well.
J. B.
Fantastic food. Didn't expect such great quality for a place i thought from the outside would be just a pub. I underestimated it and loved my food and time there. It was quite busy but then again, that's the price of finding somewhere with such good quality right? Well sadly I'm not local enough to return any time soon but I do recommend it.
G. J.
Food was of decent quality - not top notch though which I would expect from the price. The Sunday Roast was probably the weakest dish we ordered. The scotch eggs were quite good.
Service went from hot to cold - our server was attentive for the first half of our meal and then completely ignored us until we left (we had to ask another server for the check, and then again to pay).
The building itself is gorgeous and well-decorated. And there is a huge selection of gin.
D. M.
Visited on Friday evening just after national lockdown ended, just for a simple supper and a nice drink. Social distancing measures were good, all tables pre- booked, service at table, etc. Staff were friendly and professional, service pre-meal was prompt, and atmosphere warm and friendly. The festive decor was especially pleasing, warm and tasteful. We had the burger and basic cheese pizza, and a nice bottle of merlot. Pricing was very reasonable, and we enjoyed our evening out very much. One small issue was the waiting time before we could pay. My Wife asked three times before the bill was presented by a quite abrupt Staff member, who seemed more interested in cleaning tables for new customers than serving those trying to leave. All in all though, we had a great experience here, and would recommend, unless you're in a hurry to leave.
D. A.
Nice place excellent food and great service. Can't wait till its fully. Open so more people visit and it becomes as lively as it once used to be
W. B.
The service has always been great when we’ve gone for food or drinks even with covid. The lunch and snack menus are always delicious and really good value during the midday deals or eat out.
The beer selection is pretty good as well so a 5* all round! (Plus it’s cool to recognise it from films!)
B. B.
Lovely pub full of friendly locals and gorgeous dogs. Great pizzas and nice staff. I did have quite an odd interaction with the barman though - with over 150 gins on display I asked for a recommendation, and was treated as if I had made a bizarre request, I didn't expect to be given a hard time about it... I think maybe the hospitality radar just wasn't quite in tune that night! Otherwise great.
P. B.
Note: Places run by humans have a tendency of changing day by day and hour by hour. This is just an account of my experience on a particular time and day.)
Really great.
Under new management and much improved.
Great craft beers and good menu too. Nice decor, music was on but not deafening.
We walked up to the bar to place our orders and they came quickly enough.
I asked the barman how big the scotch eggs were and he said "normal" they turned out to be MASSIVE and tasty too. These things are relative I guess but the main point is that they were seriously good!
We were two hungry lads and did great with two scotch eggs, mac croquettes and their amazing chips between us.
They also seem to be dog-friendly which is a plus.
I look forward to going back soon.

One of my favourite pubs in London. Lovely gin bar. Menu has improved again - nothing fancy but good wood fires pizza and well cooked, finessed pub food. Amazing stock of gins. Lovely building. Outstanding private hire option upstairs - really nice room (and staff). Highly recommended!
R. M.
Great food, service and atmosphere. I had a lovely time

Amazing vibe, great for some points! I’d come back for the food menu.

This is one of our 'locals' and we occasionally come for a vegan roast on a Sunday evening. Nice & friendly service and we like how spacious the pub feels. Delicious and comforting food. Paying by card is a little odd, as the card machine doesn't allow you to round up or increase the tip. Not sure what that is about but if you like to tip generously, bring cash.
P. A.
Delicious food, including a delicious real beef burger and possibly the best plant-free burger I've ever tasted; friendly service and a fantastic Victorian building with lovely original features. All in all a really good pub experience.

Great pub. It's nicely decorated and the bar looks great with all the pretty bottles. We love the pizzas (both the veggie ones are great) and the gins. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They also have a great knowledge of gin and its pairings with tonic. Will definitely return.
C. L.
Great place for an overnight when heading to Shepherds Bush Empire. Room was amazing, stylish and comfortable, and hotel guests get 50% off food. One of the best pizzas either of us had eaten for a long while. Delicious. Fantastic gin selection too. Highly recommended.
D. “. C.
I really love our local pub! It has lovely pizzas and a separate dining area. Good selection of alcohol. Plays selected sports on projector. I recommend for both food and drinks particularly the amazing pizzas
O. M.
Excellent meal,good choice of dishes.
Comprehensive wine list,as well as some good real ales incl Timothy Taylors which is my fav.
Good value for money.
Well worth a visit.
S. M.
An absolutely wonderful stay. We were here for 3 nights. The service was amazing. The rooms are good and bright and very clean. You get a great sleep here. There are only 5 rooms to stay in so you won’t be disturbed by loads of noisy guests. The food downstairs is phenomenal for a venue such as this. We will be back - I have it bookmarked for future stays.
J. W.
I've been to this pub 3 times with my 3 year old and family as so far there has been nothing out of place.
The food is delicious, the decor interesting and the desserts are to die for. Particularly the sticky toffee pudding. They dont have a huge variety but what the do serve, they do well.
I. A.
The place has apparently one of the biggest selections of gin there are. We are not gin people, but we can appreciate that fact.
We ordered a couple of deserts and they were amazing! We had a brownie and a sticky toffee pudding. We also had beer and wine.
Place is beautiful, well decorated, food was good, staff was really nice, is dog friendly, even people attending the pub were nice.
Would go back.

Great local pub with a very decent atmosphere. Have eaten here a fair few times and mostly the food has been excellent, though on a couple of occasions a little average. The menu is small and in personally I don't find there to be enough choice for my taste. There are a lot of off the wall things on the menu, and I prefer more straight forward dishes.
The service has always been friendly. Good choice of wine, and you can try before you buy, which is great. Small beer garden at the back, though unfortunately it doesn't really get any sun.
B. G.
It's a nice pub I have been to a few times over the years.
The gin promotion here is a con in my view. With the 25% off this brings prices to about average nice bar prices.
2 x double gin and tonics cost £18.97 which doesn't seem like a great bargain.
N. M.
Really nice decor and friendly staff. Ordered a few drinks and chips, very good. Overall, a nice little gastro pub discovery.
D. K.
August 2019 - Bumping up a star. Haven't had brunch again, but the Tuesday night quiz is great, and we've really been enjoying the food. The vibe is a lot more active and engaging than before - well worth a visit!
(Old) My full English was very average - think the quality you would get from your local corner restaurant (but for £11.50). It feels disappointing because the venue itself is lovely.
A. M.
This is a decent pub and can be really nice in the evening, but id avoid the roast on a Sunday. I went here with my flatmates, and we found the beef in particular to be lacklustre. We were still hungry after finishing it. We also waited 15 minutes for the bill. We were then made to feel very awkward about not paying the service charge. Don't think we'll be returning, which is a shame, because it really is a nice place.
Z. C.
Doesn't want to be more than it is. Good music, ok food, good drink selection, typical pub with great and extremely hard working patient staff and very good atmosphere. We spent a xmas dinner with 10-12 of us and had much fun! Would recommend it and thanks for the staff for what they're doing! It is very hard work and much appreciated!
I. J.
My favourite local pub. Best pizzas in west London, amazing food over all, friendly staff, him list to make one want to start drinking at 11h. And the space itself is very nice, with secret garden in the back and bigger one in the front. Currently showing World Cup games on some mighty big screens. What's not to love ♥
P. G.
Lovely old London pub in great location near Shepherd's Bush. Spacious and well appointed room with large on-suite. Tea & coffee making facilities with good stock of tea, coffee and milk with fruit and porridge for DIY breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely stay here again.
R. S.
Excellent beef roast with all the trimmings. They were very busy as it was Mothers' Day so the service was a bit slow. We weren't seated until 35minutes after our booking time which a staff member apologised for but no other offer was made. When our meals came to our table after a bit of a wait three meals were missing some of the dish elements as we all ordered the same roast meal, by that stage we were to hungry to ask for it to be fixed. I would give this place another go but I suggest that maybe on especially busy days that they notify people when booking that they only have the table for a certain allotment of time so later customers aren't left waiting. On a high note the puddings were great and the sticky toffee pudding was dark, rich and delightful, served with some very tasty rum ice cream.
R. H.
Stopped in as a tourist with some friends for a proper Sunday roast and quickly found out we weren't the only ones with that idea. Busy, but the wait staff handled the situation wonderfully and the food was great. After all--isn't a busy pub a good sign? Highly recommend!
C. W.
Really good. Food was excellent and the beer was good (for London) with good choice. The staff were really helpful and came to the table to check for drinks orders and food, even though we sat in the pub. I got home made pork scratchings too which was a delight! Would highly recommend. They had comedy on upstairs that they were keen to push but we didn't go. To be encouraged though.
J. A.
Good variety of beers, nice fried calamari and scoth eggs.
R. R.
Location and decor is very nice. Staff were nice and well presented. Food was slow in coming out (45 mins for main). Our pizza wasn't the best tasting pizza we've had for the price. We went twice in 2 weeks, I would recommened the duck and liver parfait but not the chorizo and goats cheese pizza as it was too oily and thin. In all honesty, it was quite busy but I could imagine the kitchen would have been quite stressed so they did well considering its the 1st of Jan.
S. G.
Nice friendly staff good pizza but other food overpriced
E. M.
Nice local pub. Outside drinking is adjacent to a busy road so only an option if you fancy fumes with your beer. Obviously great for smokers. Additional outdoor seating at rear of pub but it's a rather uninspiring place. Wide range of gin served her plus good range of alcoholic drinks and popular food menu.
R. R.
I must say I was very impressed with this pub. We dropped in spontaneously on a Sunday afternoon for a late lunch, (after 2pm), expecting to be told lunch service was over, or limited. It was neither, and we were invited to sit out in their 'hidden' garden, if we fancied sunshine & fresh air. There weren't many there, so service was prompt, friendly and attentive. We ordered the calamari to start with, followed by the pork belly & aubergine tangine, and I asked for a 'Bloody Mary'. All were excellent and portion sizes were hearty. I thought our bill was fair for what we had enjoyed. We will be back soon!
A. R.
We came here for a Sunday roast which had been recommended as a great Sunday roast pub. The pub itself is lovely and the food was fantastic. The evening was a little spoilt due to bad service. Took ages together the order in... And then took ages to get the bill and pay. They were a nice pub but trying to do the restaurant thing too but just lacked the service factor. Usually I don't mind about service at pub but if you are paying restaurant prices and it's not very busy I would just expect a bit more attendance. Food was good though.
V. K.
Well designed interior, impressive main space as well as the dining room. Love the u-shaped bar. Outdoors seating with heaters is convenient in warm and cool evenings. The bar staff could be faster, even with no queue an order takes a while.
D. N.
Food is excellent here, if you're not eating here but fancy a nibble, try the scotch egg...it's amazing! They have some great beers that are well looked after and a huge wine selection. The pub itself is a former gin palace, with lots of lovely features such as the domed skylight.
T. G.
If you're looking for a rowdy pub in which to watch football, this is not it. And that's why I like it. It's spacious, light and clean, and it has a quiet little garden at the back.
The pub food is good - a limited menu but well executed.
There is a separate dining room that I assume has a different menu, but I haven't ordered in there yet.
Over all, great place.
R. T.
Since it's reopening, the pub is livelier and more sociable... However, the great wine list and selection is no more (sadly). Beer selection is about the same but more craft beers by the bottle are available. The food is no longer the same high fair quality and selection as the old famous Princess Victoria (bringing in local celebrities). It's now just average pub grub... with pizzas. Service needs to improve when things get crowded, and the place could use a much friendlier manager with better customer service experience (especially when it come to dealing with customer complaints).
P. G.
Its not your typical pub. High quality, fresh food. The chef is a genius! The food is to die for!!! I would recommend this pub to anyone who loves their meat especially. Its a great place for get togethers and a few cocktails, yes, this pub does some delicious cocktails. For a pub their service is just as good as a high end restaurant.
In the summer, go check out their herb garden!
T. R. E.
Genuinely good cocktails to be had here. Imaginative supper made by chef Roland using fresh seaonal ingredients, yum yum.
The bar is well stocked and the garden is sufficiently well back from the road to enjoy a lovely alfresco evening dinner
G. C.
Perfect place to go in the wet weather of the day, though a fire might have been nice, it was August, so I have to cut them a break. I certainly enjoyed my Sunday Roast, but will admit it didn't wow me. I had gotten the suggestion to go to the Princess Victoria from the Food Network show You've Gotta Eat Here, which showed a roast rib of Cumbrian beef, unfortunately what I got when I went was not this cut (as a former chef I know the difference and you can see from my photo it is not that is too lean to be rib roast). I don't know if they changed the menu from when the program was filmed in 2016. It's a shame I didn't get the roast portrayed... That said, nice dining experience, the staff was friendly, the prices are within keeping of other English pubs around London. I don't know if they're worth traveling all the way across London for (as I had), but well worth a stop if you're near by.
S. S.
We went here to try their gins, of which they have a huge number. We had a very informative talk with one of the bar staff who recommended some good classic gins as well as some of the more alternative options. Mixer pairings and toppings were also recommended, and everything suggested was really good. We would have liked to stay longer but unfortunately could only afford one round! Would definitely recommend as somewhere for gin lovers and gin newbies alike.
F. K.
Really nice pub with nice selection of drinks and good food. The indoor is lovely and the outdoor space is really nice too.
R. G.
On our trip from Toronto, we stayed just down the street from Princess Victoria. We had a wonderful dinner here with our Auntie from Shepherds Bush and her friend. The service was wonderful. The drinks and food were perfect!
t. 1.
The roast here is amazing ... second time going first had beef this time chicken both amazing BUT the service is an absolute joke.. I dont want to go as far as saying it was because of our skin tone but nothing else makes sense.. we recieved the starters after an hour...then a good 45 min interval before our mains arrived nobody really checked back to see how things were. Or just to see if we needed a drink. Will not be returning however the food is good ... DONT GO HUNGRY..
M. M.
Went with a group of 8 people for a birthday celebration. Two meals came with extra hair at no charge. Service was very poor had to ask staff to come and clear our table and take dessert orders. Starters and roast pork belly was decent.
A. C.
Beautiful place, lovely people and fabulous food! It feels like someone plucked this pub out of Richmond and dumped it here on this sorry street.
Highly recommended place for dinner - high ceilings and large furniture make it a spacious but also oddly cosy former pub. On site baked fresh bread is very tasty, wine selection is varied, the starters are interesting and the mains are brilliant. Haven't had dessert here yet - but that's because I no longer had room!
Most recommended for its Sunday lunch - the best you will EVER find in the London. Soft pink beef, crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside roast veg, tasty and generous gravy. Pair with a red of your choice and expect to wonder how you plan to go home, you will wish you lived right next door!
N. T.
Love Tuesdays. Enjoyable atmosphere. The only issue is that when I asked for the ticket, the waiter only game me the card receipt (should have seen it coming but didn't pay attention) and later realized that they overcharge me £2.50. Not bothered but shouldn't happen.
J. S.
Fantastic gastropub with a cosy atmosphere! Went for Sunday Roast with family from Canada to give them a taste of good old British fayre and were not disappointed! The pub is decorated with framed pictures and paintings of birds and other wildlife giving an elegant and traditional feel. Selection of beers, wines and spirits are vast and likely to satisfy any tastes.
The food however is the showstopper.
Unbeknownst to me there was a Netflix documentary covering this pub due to its Scotch Eggs (Anthony Bourdain). So we gotba selection to nibble on before our roasts. They were divine. My personal favourite was the traditional pork scotch egg with coronation mayo, the truffle mushroom scotch egg was also a triumph and decadent in flavour, the final variety was haddock with a dill mayo which was perfectly paired. In each scotch egg the yolk was still runny and wonderfully velvety and got the thumbs up all round.
We were ravenous by this point and not diaappointed by the main event. The roast pork belly is a generous portion and perfectly cooked, moist and flavourful with crunchy crackling and a fatty enough cut. The beef was also cooked perfectly with a lot of flavour and melt in the mouth texture. The accompanyong veg was also very good, in particular the goose fat potatoes crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. My only slight qualm (and this is slight) was that only the beef roast comes with a yorkshire, they are so good here that I think it should be on every roast!
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and could not fault them at all. To top it all off this pub is very dog friendly!
O. H.
The food is decent, though we waited a long time for our two main courses on a not-very- busy Saturday lunchtime when all other guests seemed to have been already served. The plain wood floor reflects a lot of noise which I imagine could make it difficult to speak if the restaurant were crowded.Nice to see the place reopened.
L. E.
You find here your usual gastro pub food. The difference is that they execute it really well. Bread and butter taste super nice! I had fried squid where the batter is nice crunch flakes in them as you often see with well done us southern food. Definitely recommend this place!
W. W.
A gorgeous restored Victorian gin palace with high ceilings and steeped in character. Serves good food and wine not a lads local pub more of take your girlfriend or grand parents sort. The food is on the pricey side for what you get hence only 4 starts.
C. C.
We ordered a few starters/bar snacks and a pizza. The food was all right, but nothing that would bring me back again. The pub quiz was fun, but disorganized. If I lived closer, I'd probably visit again, but it's not my first choice.
J. I.
Great venue, good gastro pub food, can get very busy especially on weekends. The refurb completed early this year looks great. They have put some trestle tables out the from since new owners took over, perfect for summer.
F. G.
We had a lovely pub quiz night at this pub on Tuesday
L. G.
This is our local. Cool music, mostly quite quiet so you can chat - although popular, very elegant with fires in winter, but big with an excellent restaurant attached. It was a former gin palace and is in a no mans land on Uxbridge Rd. A great find. You can just walk or catch the 207 from Shepherds Bush central just a few stops.
We go there once a week for a glass and their absolutely super triple fried chips with aioli half a bowl each because we dont want to over do it and that is ample! Check out the quails eggs with celery salt too. ( We come home and have just soup for dinner to balance things! )
We have eaten the restaurant but prefer the bar and you can also get restaurant food there too as well. Highly recommend this place. Visited frequently now 2017... would give it 3 stars at the moment as there has been a management change and something has been lost.
I. O.
Service wasn't great. Food was ok.
L. D.
Beer is varied and well kept. Interior is lovely (despite not-so-welcoming exterior) and the garden is charming. Staff were very friendly. It would be five stars from me if there were more vegetarian options on the menu.
T. K.
Great quality Brit modern pub food in a smart classical building. But what was going on with the staff behind the bar? Did they pop Valium with their morning coffee? Zero attention level, poor display of hospitality to incoming guests. Is this what happens when people don't work for tips?
S. L.
Very friendly staff. Real pleasure. Pub food. Really well made and nice. We had great evening. I fully recommend
T. U.
lovely atmosphere and great bar. Tastefully decorated interior. Amazing food too.
can be a little loud sometimes, but hey, it's a pub, what can you expect?
V. g.
I went yesterday for the football match, the service was great, delicious food and good drinks!
P. P.
Good place, nice pizza. Worth it
N. K.
Favorite local pub, superb staff, great atmosphere and lovely Sunday roasts. Having said that, the pork used to be a lot better a year ago :P bring back the old pork :)
R. W.
Sadly have to agree with some others on here that the food is nowhere near as good as it used to be. Bland, semi-cold and the roast beef was mainly fat. Poor roast potatoes and inedible Yorkshire pud. The service was also pretty poor. Disappointing.
K. J. (.
Gin Tuesday and pizza are great, really lovely pub to be in, so aestically pleasing. Fairly pricey but worth the price of this lovley place. Especially at Christmas it kinda feels like you're in a Harry Potter book.
R. P.
Scotch eggs! Oh my god.
Wife and I watched the very sadly departed Mr. Bourdain visit this restaurant with Nigella so we had to go there to see if their raves about the scotch eggs were accurate. We ordered both kinds, mushroom and original. Original wins. Both good. Original amazing.
It's a little bit of a ride from the usual tourist haunts but it's worth it.
Unfortunately, the battered baby herring (white bait) is apparently no longer available. Very disappointing.
S. Y.
Sunday dinner heaven!
Alternative scotch eggs, with haddock and aioli, salt n pepper squid. Both delicious
Sunday roast, tender beef with an almost perfect Yorkshire pudding, delicious veg and loads of gravy.
Nearly sets the bar!!!

Really good menu choices. Highly recommend the Scotch Egg starters. Pizzas also huge so don't come thinking you're gonna do three coursea. You'll be stuffed. Good service too
T. J.
I go here for the food, which has been nothing less than excellent on every single visit. Other reviewers have pointed out the bad acoustics of the restaurant - it does get very noisy in there. The simple solution is stay in the bar. Though this can have its perils. My one and only bad experience here was timing an evening meal within an hour or so of a QPR home victory; the place was full of braying, walrus-faced cockneys bellowing dim-witted and mostly intelligibly things at each other and then laughing like foghorns. It put me right off my quails eggs.
E. O.
Pricey. Food ok, but not fantastic. Wide selection of gins available. Service staff need a bit of training or common sense, not sure which.
S. J.
Nice decor, recently revamped, relaxed vibe, large collection of wines. Negatives are prices for a lager. Plenty of outside seating though. Overall very decent.
T. N.
Pricier option in Acton but very warm and friendly atmosphere, especially in the evening. Staff are very helpful.
The dining area looks perfect for an occasion meal - would love to book a party there.
S. G.
I was lucky enough to secure the beautiful Function Room upstairs at The Princess Victoria , to celebrate my 50th Birthday. A sit down lunch for 42 people , a perfect number for the space, there is a extensive menu for Private Dining but we decided to go set Menu Roast Beef and Vegetarian option of Mushroom Rissotto, only because I believed it would be less complicated for all , it did not disappoint, superb Beef and large portions, which worked well as ballast, plenty of hot gravy , extra roasties and all served at the same time! The team run by Laura were great, very attentive but not overbearing, We all had a fantastic day from what we have pieced together, partying well into the Night! Great Venue , can't fault the food the wine or the staff ! Thank you
T. S.
The food was exceptional, love that the bar and the restaurant are slightly separated, means that you can have a drink in a nice vibrant bar but then have a little more privacy when you through to eat. Love the decor too, very glad its re-opened
M. L.
Great venue with capacity to do more! Excellent food, full stop! Good enough for Micheal Caine, (King of Thieves) Matthew Mahoney (the gentlemen) and even the A listers like Richard Osman are known to frequent this establishment... a film buffs utopia!
T. T.
100 plus gins! Absolutely beautiful inside.
Food is so good, I wanted to eat it again and again. Must try the fish scotch egg. Bliss.
Staff very friendly. Lovely place
B. S.
Every inch counts!<br/>We ordered a delicious pizza from here, which was half price for take away! We went for the mammoth 20inch chorizo and goats cheese pizza for £28 and it was delicious! <br/>However, and this is a biggie (or not, which was the problem) the pizza measured at 19 inches, not the 20 that was advertised. This doesn't sound much, but this meant we got less pizza per £ than the 12 inch pizza (which was £11). Which as pizza nerds, was thoroughly disappointing! <br/>Now I realise what my girlfriend means... An inch really does make difference! <br/>Sort it out guys, you can easily add an inch, unfortunately I can not (without expensive surgery)!
K. R.
For the cost I was expecting more my steak was almost as thick as slick of ham. Not recommend for someone who want to EAT lunch or diner. But recommend for date as decoration of the restaurant and service is very good.
O. C.
I went in only because of the movie "The Gentlemen" and I loved it! Best Service and great food! Give then a few casks of English Lore, Guy Ritchie... they desevre it ;-)
T. L.
Despite its troubled past this pub remains a local favourite, the current owners ensuring the quality and variety of drinks remain top priority. The atmosphere and service is usually perfect, the food menu now a bit less pretentious than it used to be and I think the cigars have gone - always seemed a bit niche anyway. Probably the biggest range of gin you'll find.
r. l.
It has now closed down.
A beautiful ole pub with a great gin selection. Roasts are fairly poor and wine list is over priced but it's a great atmosphere.
Many locals will miss it though.
A. P.
Delicious lunch and excellent 1/2price gin selection in a beautiful venue. Thoroughly recommend - thanks to amazing hospitality and tasty food. Special thanks to Jason and Lottie?
G. M.
Stayed for one night in London, Shepards Bush with my girlfriend as we were going to a concert in the 02 Academy. We booked the Delux King bedroom and it did not dissapoint. Amazing bed, comfortable room, luxurious bathroom and pristine furnishings. Staff are very friendly and will make you feel right at home!
The food is amazing, their fries are to die for and they serve a mean fish finger sandwich! Also, they serve over 100+ gins which is unheard of!
110% would reccomend this hotel/pub, will stay again.
C. G. F.
I came here for my birthday and we ordered some food. They have 50% of discount on pizzas and they were delicious. I came back after that and amazing again. It is a lovelyh place, enjoy it!
T. C.
Only went for drinks but loved the interior, the vibe and the friendly service! A beautiful pub!
A. B.
Wonderful place to stay and to have lunch/dinner or also just a drink. All the staff is kind and smailing. A place where we sure come back often
T. S. L.
With its owners having previous experience running Michelin starred kitchens it’s no wonder that meals at The Princess Victoria are of a superior standard. Better still, their concept that good food should be available to all gets rid of hefty price tags while providing a constantly changing menu full of tasty delights.
Go to the Twenty Something London website to read more!
J. T.
Spacious pub attracting a crowd that doesn't mind splashing the cash. Expensive drinks and menu. Bar staff okay, seating a bit limited considering the size of the place.
P. K.
The standard of cooking keeps improving. We have been visiting since it opened and the Princess Victoria really is a charming Pub and Restaurant.
A summery menu added potted crab, ceviche and chilled cucumber soup (meal highlight) to the menu.
As other reviews mention, the staff make the PV a pleasure to visit through the year, where for a pint at the bar (4 ales on tap) or a lazy bottle of wine and snacks or a full dinner.
S. T.
Really nice local. Nice classic menu with discount pizza and gin during the week. Looks really nice inside since it was refurbed - a large selection of different gins!
N. H.
Great place to eat and stay for the night. The food is fab and the staff are brilliant nothing is too much trouble. Definitely recommend and can’t wait to return !!! Thank you to all the staff .
A. G. U.
Fantastic pub stayed one night for Wembley concert, food outstanding room perfect and the bar manager could not be more helpful would definitely recommend would loved to of stayed a second night just to to dine in the evening 💯👌
S. M.
Great pub. Lovely decor
M. A.
Amazing service, great pub food and has outdoor seating with heaters for these Covid times.
B. S.
Fantastic Pub. Has maintained a nice pub atmosphere but updated and spacious. lovely food and great choice of laughing juices!😉
C. I.
Probably the nicest pub in the area. Good vibe. Food tends to stray down the "larks tongue with a pomegranite jus" route a bit too much for my liking, and it's wildly expensive, but they have good beers and a pleasant environment.
S. C. R.
The staff and management are amazing. We went for a pub quiz and there were some difficult people in the pub and they handled the situation amazingly well. Will come back every week!
m. m.
Good food, huge drinks range but it was the service that got the 5*. Can get busy on Sundays, do roasts and quizzes.
G. S.
Nice decor and interesting sounding menu but a bit disappointing, food ended up being standard pub quality and it was always a bit of an epic getting served at the bar, staff were not interested
t.
Excellent place to go for a few drinks with friends or if out on a date. It has a good atmosphere, plenty of seating and a large bar with good prices.
R.
Not the gastro pub it once was. Average pub food with great decor setting. Don't come expecting the great food experience that used to make it famous.
C. M.
Nice pub with good winter roasts. Quite expensive but good food for it. Service was lacking as the area felt like a restaurant, but was definitely run by bar staff.
J. L.
Very friendly staff the day I visited. The bar food was excellent and the Guinness was cold. Exactly what I expected from a classic pub.
A. U.
The place is really cozy, a lot of place to sit, outside has the heaters you can turn on, which is absolutely amazing during colder evenings!
M. K.
Great old pub with huge Gin selection and friendly and knowledgeable staff. The highlight though, is the food. Definitely order the scotch egg.
A. J.
Our favourite local pub. Great atmosphere and design, and consistently good food.
H. P.
Staff was fantastic! Tapas were really great (except for the octopus). Great atmosphere and excellent gin selection.
j. b.
They got something wrong with our order but went so out of their way to make it right and a couple of free drinks to compensate. Amazing customer service and good food
M. W.
Decent pub grub, good wine list and friendly service. If dogs are not your thing then avoid this place as it’s pooch friendly.
Y. G.
I love the ambience. Food was good too! Worth spending a couple of hours when you get here. The view from the panoramic glass roof is droolworthy!
j. m.
Nice fire, good beer and wine selection and lovely service. We had a lovely dinner here and will definitely go again.
A. P.
Beautiful pub with a fabulous decor and good food. They also serve really good stone oven pizzas!
E. P.
Brilliant pub, amazing staff and lovely atmosphere! 5/5
M. A.
Nice pub, nice atmosphere, friendly staff. Very good pizza and other Italian food. Recommended
J. G.
Always enjoy the food at the PV
J. P.
"Warm" ciabatta bread served cold; tender steak but peppercorn sauce too watery; fish good; chips good; spiced apple crumble good, but a little too sweet. Fair value.
S. B.
Great local - massive range of food / bar snacks. Book for roasts. Pizzas are great to take away too
F. G.
We spent new year's eve here and had dinner: great food great service great party afterward! Only thing I didn't love was the chocolate pudding...
A. K.
The selection of gins here is abundant and the care taken to make them is considerate. The cocktails are also very fine and crisp.
G. D.
Grand old style pub, great food and selection of drinks, friendly staff
A. G.
Everything is wonderful.
Food, atmosphere, staff.
Try the ravioli and rib-eye.
Fries are amazing.
Beer selection amazing.
✌ ✌ ✌
C. J.
Lovely food and drink, honestly the only reason 4 stars not 5 is because as lovely as the toilets are, they are freezing, I thought I was outside, which isn't fun in March lol :-)
V. N.
Excellent food and selection of gins. Great for sport and has both a small back garden and also a front terrace which gets the sun
V. S.
Just love this pub and the food is so good. Staff very friendly. A favourite place of mine.
T. H.
Great roasts and relaxed atmosphere. Ask the bar staff for some home made crisps with seasoning, they are very tasty.
M. R.
I love this place. Shout out to Anthony Bourdain for suggesting it. The Scottish egg is phenomenal. Timothy Taylor's Landlord for the win!

M. W.

very nice pub. the food service sometimes is not the best, delayed and not very friendly
A. B.
Easily the best Sunday roast around the Shepherd's Bush / Chiswick area, I come back to this place regularly and it never disappoints me.
J. G.
Food was average wine exceptionally good... hence 3 stars
H. E. P. C.
Nice place with a warm familiy-like atmosphere. Cost is a little expensive but worth it. As said, scotch egg is a must.
