This is a great place for a drink in Stratford. Friendly and attentive staff, great menu with an intriguing range of cocktails and a nice setting too. Highly recommended for small and large groups alike. Look forward to returning to try some of the food too!

Went on Sat 29/5 (post Government easing Covid restrictions on indoor drinking/dining). Thoroughly enjoyed.. Nice day, sat outside. Had a few drinks (Unity Lager which was on tap, Bourbon+Coke, shot of Limoncello) and ordered a Vegetarian sharing plate (olives, pickles, cheeses etc). All v.good! Nice, friendly staff too - understanding with those with kids. In short: RECOMMEND.

Brilliant service, quick and attentive - even moving us to a better table once one became available without asking. Everywhere outside is under cover, they have heaters which is a nice addition compared to other bars in the area and also gave out blankets to keep warm. The cocktails were great and well made, with a selection of classic and original additions. The only criticism I have (and what brings it down to 4*) is the selection of beer/ale is very limited with only one choice of draught on offer and even then it’s £6 for a 3/4 pint!

Great bar and service like no other! On arrival me and my partner was immediately greeted by a welcoming host who found a lovely place to sit outside. As it got a bit chilly we asked to be inside and the waitress took our drinks, found a window table and made sure we was comfortable. There was a live music which played all of our favs and everyone in the place sang along setting a fun intimate atmosphere! Drink were unique but they we're happy to make any classic cocktail. Would recommend to anyone looking for a great intimate night. 10/10

The place is very cosy and the live music is good. It has untraditional choice of drinks which is a breath of fresh air. The staff is top-notch so great customer service. My only criticism is that it's a bit on the pricey end, however, because of the live music and the great staff I would consider it unfair to deduct a star. See you next week guys!

Excellent cocktail bar with a great selection of unique cocktails. Can recommend the 'Green or Blue?' and the frozen Cosmopolitan. Very attentive and friendly customer service. The outside space had a great atmosphere and was a perfect spot for catching up with friends and enjoying the lovely weather. We will be back!

Booked table for bar opening12th April, although cold day we all received warm welcome and great service. Their cocktails have Amazing original flavours with a blend of unusual natural ingredients which staff were more than happy to advise us about. Lovely place. Fantastic edition for East Village. Owner makes himself known, he’s very friendly and interacts with all his customers. He’s goings above and beyond the standard customer service. The bar staff and waiters/waitresses ensure your visit is fantastic. Couldn’t ask for more to be honest.

Nice little bar, friendly staff and a slightly over enthusiastic water top up waiter. Overpriced and a limited selection of the traditional type of drinks, quite a random menu which I didn't care for tbh. My friend didn't enjoy what she picked, I just got a black label on ice.

Was an absolute treat to have drinks here as lockdown lifts on hospitality. The standard of service is beyond brilliant, a real high end experience with competitive prices. The cocktails themselves are clearly crafted with top quality, fresh ingredients and Luca (bar manager) will make you anything off menu as well. The arancini balls are a favourite of mine and the spritzes are super refreshing. Lovely atmosphere, very calm and cooling vibes with the soft green palette used throughout the interior and exterior design. Crucially the terrace also has heaters which is ideal for this chilly snap! Can’t recommend enough!

Roots is the epitome of local cocktail bars. The terrace is inviting, the drinks are innovative, and the staff are friendly, warm, and above all knowledgeable. I have lived in places as far away as Chicago and LA and I can only say that Roots somehow captures the feeling of high-end bars in America and elsewhere while at the same time remaining affordable and welcoming. It's nice to have found a new local place to frequent.

Gorgeous little cocktail bar with a quality experience, yet a community atmosphere. We had a wonderful afternoon out on the terrace, despite the colder weather - would recommend the 'Glasswing' (don't let the milk put you off...). Can't wait for the indoors to be open (covid restrictions permitting)

Menu book is well designed, shame the cocktails within aren't. It's not easy when trying to design unique cocktails so i've given 3 stars for effort. The live musician on Friday is good but as there was no real effort to make him the focal point he is relegated to being background noise as generally people continue with their conversations whilst he performs covers of noughties music. The main downside is the lack of toilets. This business seems to make most it's Money selling alcohol but only has a single toilet cubicle for male an female which in itself is awkwardly placed behind the bar.
