There's a brilliant atmosphere at this place, great drinks on tap and quality food. Plus a secret theatre upstairs that has comedy! It's a little off the beaten track but definitely worth it. Nice staff

Absolutely lovely find. The sort of pub you'd move house in order to be closer to. Nice vibe, friendly staff, loads of beers, including Leffe on tap and excellent menu. The only drawback was it scuppered the rest of our walk as we ate and drank too much 😶

Really nice place to chill out and good selection of beers etc. We came here for Sunday lunch, always a tricky order as everyone likes their roast cooked to their own tastes. Green beans were very al dente. Good attempt at the nut roast for 3 vegetarians but just not quite enough overall to get to 3 clean plates

Always feel so welcomed when I come for a beer. Good food menu - particularly the Sunday roast!! Vegan nut roast is SPECIAL. The landlord David loves his vino so their wine offering is decent too.

In the name of keeping this short & sweet, and perfectly honest: if you are ever in the neighbourhood and fancy a pint, THIS IS THE PLACE TO HIT UP. Sure, the pub is cute, the location is nice. But have you ever met a friendlier gang, staffing a pub? Na, you haven’t. The staff truly make this place — such a warm and wonderful gang!

I’ve seen so much great improv comedy here and it’s such a nice intimate venue that screams out for more custom as everyone involved really works hard to get the shows off of the ground. Can’t speak for the downstairs bar but it can be a bit claustrophobic and intimidating.

These guys make a pretty nice veggie nut roast on a Sunday! The fish and chips are enormous and apparently awesome too. A lovely place for a drink in the sun on a nice day, or to hide inside from the cold in the winter!

Love the quirky vibe of this place and attended a fabulous performance in the wee theatre. BUT ... the food made me sad. Burger was dry and small and dull and not very warm. The fish pie was even more depressing: barely any fish at all. Mainly watery mash and LOADS of peas! Seriously - I took a fork full of pie and counted 10 peas in it. Disappointing at £14 a pop.

Great local pub. The only thing I would say is ordering drinks at the bar is not as easy as it should be. Service is a bit haphazard and at busy times the wait to be served is just too long. It always feels like theres one bar staff member missing, you know? As they serve food (which is always excellent) often theres a bar person tied up with food orders/food serving etc. It's recently had a recent light refurb and the toilets are much improved as is the simplified food menu. I'm happy to reccomend to all!

Fab little venue. Good theatre acoustics. Difficult to see on the stage at points (saw a sold out show, so restricted view all around unless right at the front). Lovely staff and lovely little theatre. Good connections to the rest of London (a very short bus ride away from all the pubs & bars in Shoreditch/Old Street, so quite a good transition from theatre to drinks/food). The pub the theatre is in is right next to a good sized Tesco (got my snacks for the show from there!)

I come here often for the great theatre and beers and I REALLY want to give 5 stars because it's a great place but the women's bathroom is absolutely dreadful. Floor always wet, rarely any loo paper left by the end of the night, and the tiniest cubicles ever. Love it here, but those damn bathrooms!

Our local just down the block. First things first: I'm American and have lived in London for only half a year at writing, so take my pub review however you'd like. That said we've so far thoroughly enjoyed our many visits to the Branch. Tasty seasonal food menus that haven't disappointed and friendly bar service. On our last visit, the bartender had a new pint in my hand and mess cleaned up after I knocked over my previous and shattered it on the floor faster than I could say thanks. We've also enjoyed a few shows in the theatre upstairs which offers a range programming that's worth checking out. Also just a stone's throw from the Regent's Canal tow path at the Southgate bridge entrance.

Doggo friendly place! The staff are very friendly even on an extremely busy Sunday evening. We had to wait about 50 min for the lamb roast, however, we kept ourselves busy with decent board games. They offered our dog treats ever so often and they did not mind having a big dog in their place. The food was delicious and the drinks are not ovely expensive for the location.

Interesting selection of less traditional pub food options, a little on the pricey side. They do have an outside space, but it's by a busy road and doesn't overlook the canal despite its close proximity. The Rosemary Branch has a small pub theatre upstairs. While they do have gender neutral loos (yay!) the theatre itself isn't very accessible.

My favourite dog friendly local. Where North By Northwest lacks great drinks and atmosphere and De Beauvoir lacks personality and is overpriced, Rosemary Branch is such a beautiful pub with comfortable seating, interesting deco, great drinks, fabulous menu and a free jukebox! Every single member of staff are friendly, very professional and happy! Only downside is they don't open 12pm every day.
