Reviews of Royal Inn on the Park
L. E.
Really great food and the staff were very friendly. We ordered food just as the kitchen had opened and didn't have to wait longer than 10 minutes which was great as we were starving.
Only downsides were there were no menus on the table and no table service for ordering.
The outside back garden provided good shelter and warmth on a very windy day. Will definitely be back for another delicious burger.
Also lots and lots of dogs 💜
D.
A very pretty pub with friendly staff and a nice warm outdoor seating area as well.
A. F.
Service was quite slow. They sell coke zero in those stupid tiny 200ml bottles. The burger was decent, although keep in mind the meat is mixed with onion and mustard seeds. Chips pretty good.
R. R.
Really nice family & dog friendly pub. The Yorkshire puddings and gravy were amazing and the gluten free brownie was a treat too! Would have been 5 stars but we were forgotten about and waited 1 hour for our starters. Waitress looked as if she didn't want to be there and was so difficult to flag down. Managed to speak to a manager who apologised and offered us a drink and dessert on the house. Will return!
L. W.
Great pub and services. We had Sunday lunch and it was the best roast I have eaten out. Looking forward to going back
C. B. F.
Lovely cosy pub with a top notch Sunday roast (huge!) very friendly staff and smaller roast dinner / alternatives available for children. Dog friendly too.
K. K.
Really good vegan sausage rolls, and the ratio of hummus to pitta was on point as well. Will come back when its warmer.
C. T.
The roast dinners are amazing here - only downside is the ordering system (no table service for restaurant and considering roasts are steep at £17.50 I was disappointed to have to queue 20 minutes along with the entirety of the park pub goers ordering 10 pints at a time). Staff were lovely - just come early or be prepared to queue.
M. P.
Lovely pub next to the park to enjoy your Sunday Roast dinner. Food is great and it comes in a large size. Sunday lunch time is quite busy though so you might find it difficult to find a table even though is big pub. The outside area is great as it's feels that you are in the park. The only annoying thing is that you have to go to the bar and order your food even though there are waitress around.
G. D.
Lovely big old pub and nice food too.
M. L.
Great pub with a lovely location near Victoria Park. Large restaurant and outside area. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.
D. T.
Great venue with delightful staff, right next to Victoria Park, massive place with the "shabby chic" look, perfect for parties or meet ups. Great beer, away from the mainstream. Still many recognisable brews though. The Burdett-Coutts fountain is in the park, the first source of clean drinking water in the area, fascinating story. This place is certainly worth a visit!
S.
Super cute with super lovely bar staff. Felt very safe and well looked after. And the sweet potato fries are pretty nifty. Ps. Please add a bottle of Riesling to the menu.
B. M.
I'm not a regular drinker, Mr brother has made it his watering hole, and his has a lot of friends , it's nice for me to go with him and enjoy meeting different people.
It's a great pub.
K.
Bit of a tired pub which is good for a drink but not the cleanest place to sit for a meal. But the staff are super lovely and helpful and the outdoor area is great in summer.
D. E.
Nice spot! I first visited this place quite a few years ago and wasn't impressed. Visited again today and had a nice evening, with better-than-expected food.
Big outdoor area and a good selection of beers.
M. E.
Top 'Non Entertainment' pub
Great atmosphere, drink & lovely food.
Staff are friendly, helpful & smile!
Outside back garden is the environment, protected against any type of bad weather, fantastic venue to use when the sun is out.& about.....
Food menu is small but superb, chef & kitchen team serving up the best quality hot food...
The one & only negative is the huge slide pub & back garden doors are fitted obviously on a rail, "Inside walking out" to the garden there is a narrow but visible hazard tape in place along the floor for safety BUT "Outside walking in" there is no hazard tape, the black high (1inch plus) rail blends in visually with the grey & black floor tiles, which are both the same inside & out, the staff used to it but it is a big health & safety hazard, customers especially new & all after a big drink, example going to the loo cannot & don't see the rail.
Our last visit (3 weekends ago) my wife got up from the bench to visit the loo & tripped over the unseen floor rail, falling onto the ground bruising her knee, hip & shin, other customers helping my wife, said also that it is dangerous, that there should be yellow hazard chevrons spayed evenly along the outside floor....

Good service, good drinks, my dog loves it too. Everytime I come to park it’s a must go
T. A.
Nice services good selection of booze, cocktails, seating is OK but some I've only seen some parts of rhe inside which could do with a refurb, ample.outside seating for about 20 to 3 I think, with good views of feh park, very good for a meeting point cars can drop off easily, oh and easily get a good steak
K. D.
Beautiful pub. Great location right on the park, great food and very accommodating. Been here on our 3rd date and 3 year anniversary respectively watching the football. Very kind owners who made sure we felt special and looked after. Thank you and well worth a visit
T. P.
I did not see any fish dishes on the menu not sure if this was an option?
Portions large of roast lunches etc;
Staff very helpful & establishment dog friendly which was a bonus.
j. O.
Lovely little gem of a pub. It's a limited choice of tap lagers so check before if your a fussy booze hound. Otherwise a lovely place to watch the world go by. Also big shout out to the mini Cumberland sausages
S. W.
Lovely 'proper East End' pub as a stop after walking around Victoria Park. We sat outdoors and it had a great atmosphere, service seemed fine for us and drinks came out quick. Would visit again when in the area
j. D.
Sunday roast is really good but the cheese platter is really expensive with 5 cheap Jacobs crackers instead of bread, just don’t take the cheese platter and you will have a good lunch.
R. P.
Quite "old man pub" but in a good way. Good selection of ales, including Gluten Free selections. Good outdoor space and right next to the park.
C. M.
Great service and good wine choices. As well as bookings, they also have walk ins and so we just turned up around 5pm on a Thursday and queued for 5 mins before being offered a table. We'll be back!
J. W.
Great roast including veggie roasts and very pet and baby friendly, lots of family visiting during the daylight hours
H. J.
As usual the staff were very hospitable. The route around the pub was very clearly marked. The food arrived quickly and was very nice. All in all the evening was very convivial and it was great to be back at a pub after a long lockdown.
L. M.
We were seated within 20 minutes as we didn’t have a booking, this was great because the other pubs in the area wouldn’t even entertain the idea. Service was very prompt, asked more than once if we were being taken care of. Roast were huge and very tasty. Came with enough vege etc. atmosphere was also great.
g. s.
Neighbourhood gem. Good location, friendly atmosphere and great people.
A. C.
Really huge pub right on the edge of Victoria park. The front garden is great for people watching as they go into the park, while the back garden (even bigger!) is even better for people watching in the park itself! Even the inside of this place is huge, which is brilliant for social distancing during Covid times. They handle it well, with a load of good beers on too.
s. E.
Great drinks, great food, great company. Staff watch you like hawks due to social distancing, no one is allowed to get up from their seats! I would definitely go back.
D. T.
The food here is amazing. A proper Sunday lunch just like you'd get at home. Great service and nice full plate. Excellent
D. J.
Large pub with various different rooms. Reasonably-priced sharing plates.
D. N.
Really nice pub with big inside and spacious outdoor seating areas
Perfect location for a sunny day too
Haven’t tried the food yet but drinks are typical London prices nothing too crazy
C. H.
Lovely to go out for a meal again! Distanced queue, entrance & exit separate, seating outside under an awning & also inside, all 1m apart.
I had lovely fish & chips, my friend had a tasty burger.
Staff were very friendly but sometimes seemed a bit unaware of distancing - I saw 2 staff bending over the head of a customer, all looking at the credit card machine!
Hand sanitiser scattered throughout, toilets a maximum of 3 in the ladies (5 cubicles), on 1 in, 1 out basis.
A very enjoyable evening, even if I was a bit "twitchy"! 🤣 My friend wasn't at all bothered - each to their own!
A. Y. (.
Probably the best meal we've had in a very long time.
Chicken ceaser salad and royal burger. We couldn't get over how amazing it was.
We had to tell a staff member to pass on our praise to the chef.
Will definitely be back with more people.
A. B.
Lovely family friendly pub. Great food.
K. C.
Had a lovely evening here. Haven't been in there for years met up with friends, after work. Staff were friendly and can have a joke and a right laugh with them. Food was lovely, we had the sharing platter. Drinks a little expensive but still had a good night. Thanks Guys.
M. A.
An absolute gem. Great service, good people. They took care of us. Thank you for being not only polite, but keeping the pints going. Cheers for making us feel normal. #CHILLAXING 😎
C. M.
The staff and food are sublime, with great choices of beers and wines. Good place for a family gathering as it is right on the park and dogs are welcomed. So it's great for a day out and and a bit or just to grab a sit down and a quick drink. I don't live terrible close but it's always been worth the effort.
J. D.
Great option for a Sunday roast. This venue was a perfect escape from the winter wind and rain. The staff managed our large booking of 20 people well despite the crowded restaurant.
The roast dinners were generous portions and the vegetarian wellington was excellent. Good selection of beers.
M.
Went there on a Saturday afternoon post lockdown. We had a table on the terrace for 3 hours which is plenty of time to enjoy a few drinks (max 6 people per table outside). There is a clear one way traffic system and table service. The service was speedy and friendly. You could see the staff clearing and cleaning the tables in between guests. I ordered a meal (gnocchis) which arrived quickly. The plate was huge and beautifully presented. One we reached our 3 hours the staff gave us a friendly reminder to leave as there were people queuing to get in.
P. A.
Outstanding! Best Sunday roast lunch in London. Great staff, passionate about the work, knowledgeable, hard working, smiling, happy. Food was excellent, starter enough for two, each main came out perfectly arranged and put together with care. They have the key to good hostelry. It was my first time but I will be back. I enjoyed the whole experience, dogs are welcome. Good set of lagers and beers. Best to try to make a reservation, although they may be able to fit you in. Worth the ££.
S. B.
Moved to the local area just before lockdown 2.0 and met the most amazing staff. I meant to leave a review then but completely forgot and now have forgotten most of their names which is annoying but I will try my best to do them justice. I visit this pub weekly - mainly for the good wine and gorgeous staff who are the definition of hard work, constantly on their feet they don’t stop making sure everyone’s alright - also not bad to look at too as me and my sisters pointed out! Kerry who greets you on the weekends is lovely and runs a tight ship keeping the COVID regulations in place (As should be!) and the young girl and boy with short hair and tattoos each had us in great spirits with their banter and making sure our glasses were always full. This place really is like a little mini family which is great for a customer to see staff actually enjoying serving you and not just slap a bill down and expect a tip. I haven’t met the managers yet but if the staff and food is a reflection of them I’m sure they’re amazing. Will definitely keep on coming here until they kick me out.
J. A.
Fantastic customer service and great freshly produced food. Reasonable prices on food and drink. Attention to care from staff. Warm welcoming environment.
Z. S.
It was lovely, lots of space and a choice of indoor or outdoor seating. The menu was good and reasonably priced, yeh would recommend.
R. E.
Used to be my old quiz pub. Excellent T.T. Landlord which was a bargain
G. A.
Excellent Sunday roasts , good quick service !!
m.
Waited to be seated on arrival. There was disinfectant/ paper towels and sanitising gel station at the entrance.
Also filled out an NHS track and trace form which i was not expecting but appreciated and showed a lot of forethought and organisation. There were clear social distancing signs all over the inside and i would felt very comfortable being out for a drink for the first time in months! Great and expedient service and it was a relaxing environment, not too busy!
M. E.
Lots of room, a great large garden, fabulous in the summer. Good range of beers and really good food. The staff were run off their feet Saturday, but coped well with smiling faces.
R. M.
Good selection of beers, lacking in the cider department on tap.
Great location next to Victoria Park so you can make a pit stop if you’re on a walk. Staff were fairly laid back but friendly.
T. E.
We thought it was great, Great location the food was good and the beers were good (if a bit expensive ... pint and a large glass of wine £10+). Friendly staff, good service. I chose a coconut fish curry, which is something I would normally never have and it was very interesting, my wife went for fish & chips which looked great. (I'd already had too many "Fish & Chips" this week. We sat in the garden by the fountain in dappled sunshine it felt great. This is a very family friendly venue which is good because of the great park just over the fence. This is probably one of the best areas of London to enjoy.
R. B.
Food was great. There was a mix-up that left us waiting a very long time for our roasts, which meant they'd been sitting in the kitchen for a while. Obviously an easy mistake but made better by the wonderful Robbie. Great service from Robbie - thank you.
A. P.
Really lovely pub on the park and such yummy food. Great on any day as they have lots of tables inside or a big patio area with a covering. Always love it here
D. H.
Nice pub and good atmosphere. Great location by park. Expensive though. Two Pimm's plus Ginger Beer cost nearly £20. Wine on its own was £5 and not large glasses either! Shame about the rip-off prices as otherwise it's a good pub.
A. M.
Nice location good beer selection. Huge beer garden with views towards the park. The food is average pub food. Friendly staff. I would recommend on a sunny day and for big groups since there is plenty of sitting space
C. M.
Great venue, very well placed. Attentive staff and a lovely atmosphere all round
B. S.
Good vibes, good food, good outside garden, good pub :)
B. E.
Decent platter of food to enjoy outside in the sun in dog friendly place.
C. L.
A Great Pub!
My sister and I often take very long walks around the beautiful Victoria Park.
On our way home, we break the walk with a visit to this lovely old pub.
Our visits are during the day where the atmosphere is relaxed and, usually, not too busy.
Great music, easy going ambiance, delicious coffee!
Staff are friendly and helpful, always welcoming.
It's packed out @ weekends.
A lovely pub, well worth a visit if you are in the area

VEGAN FRIENDLY!
Lovely Italian bar staff member also Vegan can advise. There were lots of V options.
Very good staff. Lol
Big man size portions.
Gluten free friendly.
Tasty food.
Tons of space.
Huge beer and wine selection.
So yeah, I like it!
B. F.
Very busy pub, large, old dated building could do with some love. The outdoor eating area is ok, more modern as it was refurbed a few years back. Lots of picnic tables outside perimeter of the pub.
A dog and child friendly pub although children are not allowed inside after 7pm, dogs are fine.
Staff are friendly and helpful enough. Not really my cup of tea. However, could be yours so give it a try.
J. D. K.
Really family friendly pub on the edge of the park, with a nice outside area, friendly and helpful staff, good beer and food. Would highly recommend the Sunday roast which arrives speedily, is perfectly cooked (if you like your beef pink) and comes with a delicious gravy. Highly recommended for groups!
M. C.
Good spot to visit after a walk in the park. Nice atmosphere. Decent food. 4 stars becaus of the high bill - but beer and wine was great!
D. G.
Great place for an informal birthday party! There's a lively atmosphere in the pub and their food is also generally good. My wife's risotto was too salty but the staff replaced it without fuss. Good food, great service, friendly and helpful staff.
F. L.
Went there recently with some friends for lunch. The chef cooked something out of the menu for me, as I am a vegan, that was delicious and super healthy! The staff is very friendly and accomodating! We had a great time sitting outside in the sun :)
J. R.
This is one of our favourite pubs! Great food, lovely roast dinners (nut roast for veggies like me)! We love to bring our pups (English bulldog & mastiff pup) after a nice day in the park. There are always lovely people and lots of dogs, friendly staff too! Also, in regards to the previous review claiming to witness an off lead "pitbull type" and an aggressive dog interaction.. They were referring to an incident, if you could call it that, where our mastiff and bulldog were on lead (I've never seen a dog off lead in the pub or patio areas) and sitting by my fiancé, a border collie walked in with his owner and the bulldog stood up to say hello - the border collie barked and startled our pup so she scuttled back and sat down.. the owner calmly walked away to find a place to sit. This individual who wrote the negative review felt the need to verbally attack my partner in front of her young child. It was very upsetting as our dogs are on lead, very mild mannered and used to relaxing in all the lovely dog friendly pubs in the area (the crown included).. luckily this was the only negative experience we've had and it hasn't deterred us from continuing to frequent this lovely pub! Great place for all dog lovers and their families! Especially on a sunny day :)
S. B.
While miles away from where we live, we were glad to make the trip to meet friends here. Location next to the park makes it a great venue as it is also dog friendly. Good family haunt. Food was good and service was friendly and efficient.
M. C.
My cousins wedding took place here, kind and generous staff with a safe atmosphere for the celebrations.
D. P.
We had my son's wedding reception there last Saturday evening with over 140 guests.
All the staff were amazing, charming and helpful. The food was magnificent and you would not think they were catering for such a large number of people. Well done and thanks for making it such a special event!
J. C.
Very nice outside in the summer, although regular weddings and venue hires do sometimes interrupt the usual experiance. Do undertsand that makes them a lot of money, maybe a cal with what dates areas wont be free could work better for the regular punters. Nice pub though, decent beer selection.
C. G.
I love this pub and it does a really good Friday lunch with drink for a nice price, however, I am disgusted that when they have their posh weddings that the regulars are not allowed to be in the bar and tossed aside like we don't matter. We all moan about it, but none of us have ever put a review about it, I now think it is about time that the Royal Inn on the Park treat the regulars with a bit more respect otherwise the other bars in the village will end up with all that custom. The front of the bar could be blocked off for regulars when functions are going on easily.
C. H.
I was incredibly impressed with this pub! What a lovely venue next to the massive Victoria Park. They have a small menu but the food was delightfully tasty with a great choice of beers on tap. Would definitely go again!
A.
A must visit when one is in the vicinity of Victoria Park. The Royal Inn is a spacious and welcoming stop on the very edge of the park. Summers offer a brilliant patio and garden, in a nicely quiet area of the East. Regardless of the time of year, you'll find a welcoming venue with good food and a reasonably well stocked bar. A great place for large parties quiet drinks, live jazz, or a cheeky pint.
J. G.
Great beer. Would prefer to have a vegetarian food option that wasn't a mushroom, and a better option for vegetarians on Sundays. Other than that food is great, beer choice is good, fine with children and staff are never surly.
a. H.
A very satisfactory afternoon was had. No faults could be found with the Sunday roast.
S.
Always like the ethos of the "remarkable restaurants" chain. Good food, decor and decent beer. This one is perfectly located for Victoria park.
But utterly useless website. They say:
"Whether it's a table for our famous Sunday roasts or a three course meal for a wedding or a garden bbq, we have it covered".
They've got space for the above bla bla but not to give you you a key fact: the kitchen is closed on Mondays.
So I wasted a trip here, went elsewhere to eat.
M. E.
Lots of room, a great large garden, fabulous in the summer. Good range of beers and really good food. The staff were run off their feet Saturday, but coped well with smiling faces.

Very good and fast system to get in and a table. ..Food a different thing. Took a while and wasn't as good it was b4...
N. D.
Good comfortable relaxing venue. Food is as you would expect at a British pub. Staff very accommodating. Good location right on the park. Will have an incredible vibe in the long summer days when the sun is shining
P. W.
We celebrated our wedding at the Royal Inn on the Park (01/10/14). It was absolutely everything we could have wished for. The staff were wonderful, food was great, location is perfect. Thank you to everyone who works there!
m. l.
Nice enough pub, great location especially in summer with huge outside spaces
Coffee was undrinkable and staff seem slightly lost bit friendly.
Good range of drinks and a good food menu although I didn't eat there.
W. g.
I recently visited my son who lives in London, on the Friday evening we called at the Royal Inn for a drink. We enjoyed the atmosphere and the friendly service so much we decided to have our evening meal at the Royal. We both had an excellent meal of steak and chips, which added to our enjoyment of a very pleasant evening spent in a fine pub. I'm looking forward to revisiting The Royal on my next visit to London.
K. k.
Very cool place to grab some drinks !
M. S.
Nice friendly atmosphere, pints are cold. One of the only pubs ive seen keeping a sensible social distance policy.
I. N.
If you come here and ask for olives you can have them only on the dining room, its just quite funny i never thought that olives leave such a mess behind, or maybe you have a better reason why won't they serve olives with a perfect glass of chardonnay...*i'm confused* ;))))
C. C.
Tasty duck and meat. Fast service, even though the place was crowded. Also, they have a nice international beer, like Pacifico or Modelo from Mexico, or Alahambra from Spain. It may be a bit expensive: average prices for the main dishes are between 12 and 15.
T. B.
Great pub right next to the park. The perfect place to enjoy a Sunday lunch before exploring Victoria pub.
Can get very full, but it is always worth it to enjoy a summer's evening sitting outside there.
F. P.
Great location - decent for the football, multiple screens. Indoor / outdoor area is a touch
J. D.
Great location. Slightly overpriced food. For some reason it always seems to take a long time to get served when it gets even a little bit busy. And since it's right next to the park it often gets busy
S. P.
Decent atmosphere with a nice outdoor area on the street side. Great diversity of drinks, including unusual on-tap options. The menu could use more vegan options.
S. G.
Busy park pub and brewery extending streetside into a fenced-off area inside Victoria Park which is full of tables, huts and if you're lucky, an outside BBQ to compliment the usual kitchen.
On a sunny day it tends so be crazy busy, on the other hand weekday evening are great for chilled meals, drinks and quizzes.
N. M.
I went in the winter and it was really quiet but i think it probably gets better as the year gets warmer, the food was really nice! the wings were great but the sausage roll on the menu is pretty small but overall a nice place.
M. D.
The Royal Inn on the Park has a prime location in Victoria Park. With beautiful roast dinners, a good selection of craft and unusual beers, friendly bar staff I rate this place highly.
The only thing stopping me giving it 5 stars is that whilst they do a cracking roast dinner it finishes too early.
E. D.
Great staff, good prices for the location, amazing chips
P. A.
Very pleasant, polite staff, good service, good social distancing. Good food. The price knocked a star down through.
K. M.
Lovely local pub, friendly service, delicious food & interesting beers on tap. Massive dining room & outdoor terrace right on Victoria Park.
C. J.
Very fast food service. AND GOOD TO
L. S. (.
I didn't actually go inside this place... but was informed that the staff were extremely poor. Fair enough it was the first properly sunny Saturday in London, but the staff were slow and sloppy.
Nice beer garden though right on the park. Great spot.
D. M.
Nice location and great for sitting outside.
Saying that, the inside is very pleasant with a great vibe.
Friendly staff and good fare.
If it's sunny then this place beats even the local gastro pubs in the area.
P. R.
Service was great food ok but resturant dated was not the grand establishment or experience we expected was very disappointed not as advertised grandson said his burger was over cooked verging on burnt
I. C.
Went to a wedding reception held here. Staff were awesome and it was very clean. From my understating, they were also very accommodating for the wedding party to decorate the venue.
R. C.
Great pub they serve food too but we didn't indulge ourselves today, lots of space inside an out would be great in the summer and it has a quite space too
k. D.
Really nice and social spot, friendly and helpful staff. Has a lovely garden with views of park. Small food menu but very tasty food.
R. C.
Great atmosphere! Can't wait to go back for one of the burgers 😍
A. O.
Great pub with a massive inside and outside. Staff are really friendly and beers are great.
F. B.
Was a nice treat to go just before the second lockdown - as always great service, and it was sad to see such a nice place mostly empty because of covid.
T.
Cool pub, broad and interesting drinks range, is a great location especially if you've been visiting Victoria park. Food looks great - haven't tried it yet though
R. H.
Cool place with a good atmosphere. However, we were there on a busy day, which meant they ran out of most of the items on the otherwise great menu, and quite a few of the beers as well.
F. R.
Great food. Inside half of it looks like a pub, the other half just looks like a cafeteria, but the latter half has a whole wall wall of glass that looks out to the Victoria Park greenery which is a nice view.
K. Y.
A lot of space inside and outside . Does have mhsic, but it's near impossible to hear :D. And the pricing is medium, slightly more than standard I think . Overall a nice place . Seems to be dog and child friendly.
T. W.
This is a pretty decent boozer but I prefer the Lauriston round the corner. Nice seeing just in the park, with several benches outside. I haven't eaten here but the food looks good.
R. P. N.
Stunning, spacious pub with good booze
It was also a pleasure to watch Germany get beaten by South Korea in the World Cup
J. M.
A favourite of mine on Victoria Park. Part if the Remarkable Pub collection. If you like one of these pubs, you will like them all.
Great everything and perfect for a lazy day.
G. K.
Slightly chaotic on a busy day but still great - lovely outside area backing onto the park, and good range of local beers on tap!
C. H.
I am vegan, but listen to my body. It desired steak and it was delicious. Highly recommended. It must have been a happy cow.
C. G.
Stopped by here for some drinks while enjoying the London sun. Big place with seating out front and back. Burgers coming out of the kitchen looked amazing. Looking forward to trying the food. Will be back
T. S.
Ok. Shabby chic a little dated and tired.
Probably works for the new gentrified inhabitants of the area. I remember it as a born and raised local. Thought I saw ghosts, lost and wondering what the feck happened to the East End. Just like me....
S. I.
If you can get a seat in the front on the pub its still a grand place to be. Ther extension continues to be a soulless cold space regardless of the season, but the pub continues to deliver.
K. R.
Really well located right on the edge of the park - particularly nice in summer when you can sit outside as they have quite a large patio space. Does get busy in good weather though!
D. A.
Good food and relaxing atmosphere. Nice selection of beers and ciders on tap too. Sunday roast is a bit expensive but delicious.
S. P.
Amazing food and lovely views over Victoria park. Definitely coming back for a pint in the garden when it's sunny outside!
I. E.
Lovely pub, my favourite place to go for a quiet cuppa tea or pint spending time in the park nearby. Beautiful garden and yummy hot chocolate.
P. D.
Fantastic Sunday roasts, and very dog friendly
S. C.
Best for eating - huge 'canteen' type restaurant, but there is a lovely terrace overlooking the park. Good beer choice, not the cheapist!
m. w.
Good place for boozing, food is utterly bog standard though. Not unpleasant but very forgettable.
I. M.
Much loved pub with great spaces for very reasonable hire. Great and spacious beer garden and a good if a little inconsistent on food.
A. D.
I walk past this pub often. And stop every other time. The thing that always strikes me is that that music is brilliant - vintage funk, RnB, and Soul, with occasional splashes of similar modern stuff, and groovy chill-out.
M. B.
Average pricing for the are, good location and choice of beers.
Butt a bit sore as not the comfiest of seats but a minor gripe.
A. J.
Loads of street food and fresh produce
R. G.
Gorgeous food . Excellent service. Thank you for the box of rice to put my friend's phone in. Above and beyond helpful.
