My visit to the Royal Sovereign pub was an excellent experience. The Royal Sovereign is one of my favorite pubs in London. It's a pub where I always recieve an extremely warm welcoming experience. On occasions the venue hosts music events and fund raisers for local charities. It was a quite night last night and I meet some new people and made a few new friends. Service was fantastic, a very pretty Italian lady whom nothing was too much trouble, the range of beers, ciders and ales are extremely unique and diverse, even with seasonal home made 'mould cider', I didn't eat there tonight but have previously and home made food cooked from fresh, delicious. It was my girlfriend's first visit and she loved it and was quite vocal on route home as why I hadn't taken her there before!! 🙄🙄 lol 😆 but I promised we'd return soon. I'd throughly recommend everyone to treat themselves and friends to the unique experience of Royal Sovereign.

Unpretentious friendly local pub, totally mixed oddball bohemian vibe. Live music, djs, events and great pizza, burgers, lots of vegan options! Nice patio garden with recycled wood and fairy lights. Good classic real ale served.

Finally visited this gem of a pub last week! Friendly staff and locals. Fealt very welcome. Great food too! Easily the BEST burger I've had to date, anywhere in London! And I've had a fair few over the 6 years.

Great staff and great DJ. Had lovely food as well, although the chicken salad maybe could have had more ingredients than rocket tomato and black olives (good portion though). Vegan options available. Overall very warm atmosphere, family friendly plus animals, plus various games.

Great pub but I'm constantly annoyed by the fact that they advertise that all their pizzas can be gluten free, when in fact none of them are, unless you book then at least 24 hours in advance. Certainly not advertised as that on their chalk board menu!

Great pub. Lots of live (mostly alternative) music and generally a great atmosphere. Friendly staff, decent sized courtyard area with a good amount of covered seating. I live 2 hours away and yet still consider the Sovereign my local.

Love it. One of the only remaining pubs that has real soul in the area. Always a good mix of people eg not just white hipsters, great pizza, big garden...you can tell I'm convinced...

As a long term local of Hackney I have to say this is by far the best pub in the area! Unlike so many other bars in the area, this place caters for all (except trouble makers). While many other bars are predominantly full of either hipsters, old men or long term locals, this place has an eclectic range of customers. Everyone including the staff are extremely friendly and make newcomers feel very welcome. There are also many events held there. Live music, northen soulnights, open mic nights, DJ's, loads of different music genres, quiz nights, rock and roll bingo, charity events, themed fancy dress partys and many more! It is also child and dog friendly. The food is great too! I haven't had much, but the beautiful pizza's will have you coming back for more! There is of course a wide range of drinks too. My usual tipple being a guinness they do one of the best in the area. I can't say enough good things about this place. It has so much geniune character and great vibe. It almost seems like the actual building is alive. Even though it's a bit off the main high street, it's definitely worth the detour!
