Reviews of Rushmere
P. D.The Rushmore has been very tastefully updated. All the food was freshly made and very tasty. The chips were crispy and soft on the inside, and very well seasoned. We also had a lovely scotch egg and avocado + poached egg sandwich.
Excellent service, very helpful staff. David was very well educated on the food, and helped us make our decision on what to order.

Some lovely improvements on the old pub the Swan with a fabulous outside garden and a cosy atmospheric dining area and pub area.
Food was tasty and well presented and the staff absolutely brilliant and attentive.
Looking forward to more visits in the future especially the garden as the weather improves.
J. W.Really enjoyed (re)discovering the refurbished pub yesterday. Lots of nice little touches that make you feel instantly comfortable. Great selection of beers as well. The Sambrooks Pagoda is now officially my favourite pilsner.
D. G.I love the new look of the place. It's great that dogs are still welcome. The only downside (and it will have an impact on summer) is that food is not served outside. For us, that's not the best option and it was dissapointing to find out.
Z. E.Great pub! We came with a baby and buggy, the table they had reserved for us had plenty of room and the manager helped move the tables and ordered the last roast beef for us. All staff were very friendly and it was nicely decorated for Xmas!
P. B.Brilliant service by Amelia and the crew at The Swan. We ordered espresso martinis, which weren’t on the menu, but together we crafted them from the drinks at the bar. And we had a good laugh doing it! Wonderful pub, and wonderful people ❤️

Pros
- We ordered a roast no problem
- Good selection of beers
- Added a yorkie to vegan roast
- Tasty food, vegan wellington was amazing (we aren't vegan 😂)
Cons
- Despite being late afternoon and not peak time, no one checked how our meals were (cabbage was raw, pork belly was cold)
- Service not great after ordering, no extra drinks offered, wine ordered but not delivered, had to chase to get our bill a long time after our dessert was served
We will be back for drinks from the bar and chill in the new garden but might avoid meals here for a while🤷♂️
