Great place to hold a birthday celebration/ work gathering. I went to celebrate my sons birthday and they held an area for a small deposit. There was plenty of space between groups and we were allowed to bring cakes and some decorations (although there were some limitations to what we could do with decorations ).Drinks were served at a quick pace and the group were really pleased with the venue and music.

We booked Sama bankside for an engagement party recently. It was a great price to hire and Steve was incredibly helpful answering all our emails in the run up. We had a great time! Great vibes, nice drinks and I heard nothing but great reviews of the canapés we got. Everyone had an amazing time and a dance at the end! Would 100% book again!!

We booked SAMA Bankside for our engagement party, and was given exclusive use of the lower floor. When we initially enquired, Steve called us back and talked us through all the details and our options and was overall, very helpful. Even as we got closer to the event and we had more questions, Steve and his team were very accommodating and was always willing to help. On the night, the venue had been set up exactly as we had wanted, we had plenty of space for all our guests to mingle, as well as play with the giant jenga set and of course beer pong. Later, once the DJ was set up upstairs, we were able to dance the night away. We had loads of fun, and our guests had an unforgettable evening. Thank you so much!

Booked a party here due to the great service and friendliness of the staff. Can't wait to have it as well and they are really accommodating to any needs you have. Great fun for party bookings! Had the party here and had the best time! Was so great and that was due to this venue and the staff behind all the hard work. One word: Wow. The venue is beautiful, the service from my server Evan was so pleasant. He maintained a smile on his face throughout my experience at Sama Bankside. I stumbled upon Sama on a bike ride and decided to have lunch around 2pm, I saw fish and chips advertised for £8.95 and could I say no? No 😂. Wow! Compliments to the amazing chef for his awesome food. The cod batter was light and fresh, fish was as precisely cooked as youd like. The double cooked chips were beautiful, hot and fasty! I noticed the mushy peas were cooked fresh onsite unlike some restaurants who use prepacked! Peas had a slight hint of mint 😍, for £8.95, I got more for my money than I expected! The atmosphere is AMAZING . Sama play current music on Bose speakers and this matches the beautiful urban design. Generally, this place is awesome for lunch or parties! Next time I'll try their HAPPY HOUR cocktails. Thank you EVAN!

Great experience. New restaurant and bar with unique rustic and artistic architecture, situated under 2 railway arches. Food was amazing and very creative cocktails. Took benefit of 241 offer. Best risotto in London. Highly recommended.

Went there with my girlfriend for Valentine's and the ambiance was really cosy. It wasn't very busy and the décor was quite comforting. Food arrived fairly quick and they were delicious. We went for the set menu and the portions were perfect. Excellent place if you want to try something different but finding the place can be a bit hard as it's a bit of walk and hard to find.

I booked this venue for a work event that we were hosting. We had use of the Upper Arch area upstairs - it's a really cool space and worked fine for our guests of around 25-30 people. It's right next to the bar, so it's easy to come and go. All the staff were very helpful and friendly, setting out the area to how we needed it and, later on, supplying more chairs when we asked and they turned off the speaker which was in our area for us, too (we were having guest speakers at our event). Good choice of food and drinks on offer, but perhaps one or two bar staff would have been appreciated at busier times. Overall, cool atmosphere and great location.

I worked with Humphrey to coordinate everything logistics wise for the 2 day corporate event I helped to manage for my company. We went through everything in detail the week before and he liaised with his staff to communicate everything. Humphrey passed on the information to Evan, who I coordinated with the most for the events. There were small miscommunications, in this area, I always say to refer back to the client/customer managing the event (on their mobile), as it's always better to double check instead of stressing them out. In any event, we were very impressed with the venue and the staff catered to us really well. The space is gorgeous and this is definitely the winner here. We were meant to only have the basement floor but was given freedom to use both floors on both days. Very generous. All the staff are down to earth, sweet and friendly. They work hard and they work efficiently. I would recommend to anyone really! :)

Really nice bar located a short walk from Blackfriars station. It's somewhat hidden and easy to miss but once you get there it's great spot. You can't book an area for your group or just show up. Outside seating and drinking space too.

My fiancé and I booked an area (one of the arches upstairs) to host our engagement party for around 50 people. The venue was excellent and such a good space for the price, most of our guest commented on how much they liked the bar. DJ was fabulous too and had everyone up dancing. Humphrey who took the booking was very helpful from start to finish and went over and above. I would happily recommend SAMA!

Have my 40th Birthday here, first time I had been there and was very impressed. I had a reserved area near the bar upstairs which was the perfect space for the 15 people I had coming. The food was really nice as well with its Caribbean twist. The fish fritters were the bomb! Really nice vibe in there. Drinks are a little bit expensive but standard for the are. Highly recommended.

We recently held my husband's 40th birthday party at SAMA Bankside and it was fabulous. Not only is it a great venue and space but the venue staff are so helpful and accommodating. Whilst we were planning the evening they had a fabulous line of communications and they were helpful and always quick to respond and advise. Humphrey was a star throughout communications and Steve too. On the evening a special shout out goes to Ryan who alongside the rest of the SAMA Bankside team looked after our guests. Thank you for an amazing evening, music was fabulous too - thanks Steve! I would recommend this place to anyone for a party and also just for a night out, it's a gem of a find.

A really cool place, stylish and I love the music policy 90s classics. Cocktails are amazing and the bartenders doing them know their stuff. The only thing was I went there on a Friday in the middle of summer and it was virtually empty... very strange exclamation mark otherwise would have given 5 Stars :-)

Lovely venue, tucked away and rather secluded under the Blackfriars arches. Over two floors and with a resident DJ. Eating area mixed in with a bar area is well laid out. Food was just right in quality and staff were easy to talk to and friendly. Really like the ambiance here!

Had such a great time at Sama for a friend's post-bridal shower drinks. Really comfortable space and incredible music, good space to dance in a relaxed way. Good venue to host parties etc. Drinks are standard london prices, decor is different but in a good way. No issue with food everyone loved it. Only downside is the music, it can be from one extreme to the other....definitely was not to our taste. (If you host a party here make sure to hire your own DJ or have a tracklist to avoid disappointment.)

I organised a birthday party here. The service was amazing. The staff were really helpful and attentive. It was a great atmosphere, with brilliant tunes that got everyone dancing. I would highly recommend hosting an event here.

Whilst the atmosphere and setting was 2nd to none, and the help and friendliness of the staff was excellent, I was disappointed by the food and wine in the package. The mushroom bruschetta was just mushroom on white toast, and there was only one cannelloni with a pile of lettuce next to it. I don't think it would have taken much time or effort to improve the food and make this a five star review from me.

We held our Xmas Party at SAMA on Friday 6th December. The team couldn't have been more attentive, they organised everything, Humphrey worked with us and made recommendations on the amount of food that we would need and the best options from the party menu. The giant Connect Four, Jenga and Beer Pong were a huge hit with the team. The service was amazing, massive thank you to Humphrey, Kate and the team. EVERYONE has told me this morning that it was the BEST party they have been to. I can highly recommend SAMA for any group/team event. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to the team at SAMA.

I'd come for a bite to eat in the evening after hearing of a new place to eat opening in the arches but came just as the kitchen was closing and the bar downstairs being in full swing for a Friday night. Managed to get food, which was reasonably priced and tasty but the whole place was filled with loud music and shouting people. Perhaps worth returning for a lunch service to give it another shot.
