Reviews of Shakespeares Head
C. Q.
Traditional British pub in an excellent location. We had Sunday Roast with Sirloin beef and Fish and Chips. Both dishes had generous portions. The roast sirloin was tender and served with roast potatoes, cheesy veggies and a yummy Yorkshire pudding. The Fish and chips were served with chunky chips and mushy peas. Fish was not greasy. Meal was pleasant, the staff were helpful and kind. Overall, a great experience. Would certainly recommend.
E. B.
Been there once for lunch , the fish and chips was very good, not too many choice of beer was available on that day
C. P.
If you want to go to a pub in the West End of London this is a very good option. Lots of TVs so good for watching soccer and rugby. Eating area upstairs which you may need to reserve a table. Gets very busy but our food was well cooked and was served very quickly.
G. D.
Lovely pint of London Glory and the fish and chips were 'to die for'. Very reasonably priced too.
M. N.
Lovely pub and a nice place to wind away a couple of hours. Didn't eat but the food looked good.
Why three stars? Staff need an MOT. Little tip...when a customer is waiting at the bar it is good practice to acknowledge and greet instead of ignoring (and then serving the next customer who rocks up).
Went for a second pint and the same again. Invisible suit must be working 🙄
K. F.
No ale, no Malbec, but the food was ok although, I did have a toilet trouble the following day. Can't be sure it was the cold ham on my plate, who knows.
A. M.
Really lovely staff great service, let down by a very loud TV with a football match with most of the people having a drink and chat. Unfortunately some of us had to leave the group as you just couldn't have a conversation 😔
M. L.
This place is always full. One of the best places to enjoy a drink and some food!!!
L. “. E.
Great pub at the end of Carnaby street which we found after looking at the amazing Xmas lights. Really friendly staff and super ambience. I took one star away purely for the slightly bad smell that you get a waft of as you first walk in but after a few of their great Gin n Tonics it becomes less noticable.
B. H.
Friendly staff. Excellent food and really nice wine. Would highly recommend
L. K.
We had lunch and a few beers. Food was very good. Staff are very nice.
C. E.
Nice pub. Just had drinks. Fairly busy, which is good. Nothing out of ordinary. Good selection on beer.
P. R. R.
Really nice pub to have some decent bar food and drinks in the middle of London. The service is nice and the location appealing. It looks very authentic and when you are into watching soccer/football then you are right here
J. S.
We love this pub. It's a great place to sit outside and watch the London night life.
G. W.
Very good. Very authentic pub. Friendly, food lovely. Definitely recommend it
V. S.
Really nice food, quick service and friendly staff.
A. H.
Nice friendly pub, has a floor upstairs if your after food and they have 2 TVs on if your interested in watching sport
R. B.
I had the fish and chips which was dry, flaky and pretty bland tasting. The Wagyu beef burger looked great. Probably should've gotten that.
Its a cute pub and was I here for just a drink, I'd definitely be up for it.
D. S.
We were looking for a pub to eat close to Carnaby Street and this one is ideally located. The food is really good and you can have nice beers and ciders too. It can be a bit crowded but if you're not in a rush and willing to wait a bit for a table, you won't be disappointed!
E. F.
Went last Sunday. Lovely lady running bar could not have been nicer. Eleven am and yet nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast rapidly delivered, lunch also since our theatre trip was covid cancelled on the day. Went above and beyond. Disabled toilet on ground floor level a massive help to carers with less able relatives. Ever grateful.
M. S.
Nice enough pub for a couple of drinks but toilets were in a horrendous state. Might have been a very busy shift as it was a Saturday but wasn't the most pleasant experience.
o. z.
The people were amazing.
Staff realy did everything they could to make sure I had a good time, even though I was all by myself.
B. G. A. M.
Very good bar recommend going there in the evening
W. H.
Lovely quaint old fashioned type Green King pub.
Has upstairs with its own bar.
I had Big Fish n chips, should clarify definition of big, as I would call it standard size.
Missus had steak and red wine pie, which was really nice
K. “. B.
Wonderfully crowded, proper London boozer in an iconic location. Good ale and atmosphere.
R. J.
Great pub and great staff. Great place to sit outside and people watch. Reasonable prices and food is nice. Toilets are always clean
S. K.
A very nice pub in carnaby street... This place is usually jam packed . Indoor sitting and outdoor sitting is there . They serve some nice cocktails and drinks .. food is also amazing.
S. A.
Great place to sit outside and watch the world go by. Lovely mulled wine too.
T. S.
Nice little pub in a good location but nothing special.
B. V.
Shakespeares Head is a pub worth visiting. When I travel to London I always visit this spot to enjoy a refreshing pint and quick meal.
It's a casual relaxing place with a historuc pub feel. I typically order fish and chips with a pint. Half pints are available, but I think a work day visit deserves at least a pint....or two.
If you find yourself around Soho, visit Shakespeares Head.
S. H.
Lovely pub with nice food, atmosphere and staff
B.
No peroni stocked, though Asana is nice
N. J. (.
Tasty fish and chips, great beer, amazing staff. Thank you for the experience!
N. B.
Fantastic pub, couldn't ask for a better place
j. w.
Great pub with standard London pricing. Overall a great spot to have a casual drink. The app they use (Greene king) works really well and allows for easy ordering.
L. K.
Good place in the City of London. Excellent aperol spritz and tasty halloumi.
P. S.
We went to this pub which is rite at carnaby street line...the atmosphere was ok as all the tables were really close n at times it was difficult to move but since it's a very busy cafe we can understand...the boys tried the beer and we wanted to order a platter but it was not available so we ordered chicken Tikka masala and onion rings...we liked the taste and enjoyed it with drinks..
S. M.
Nice meal. Very clean and staff very friendly
C. S. C.
Nice place to have a bear and enjoy the atmosphere of a true English pub.
M. C.
Very cozy pub and good typical good, for a quick lunch in the center I recommend it.
B. I.
Good, vibrant atmosphere; beer options were limited...just two.
F. D. F.
I went in this pub because I wanted to see Juventus vs Barcelona in Champions League, at the grand floor there wasn't free places, but at first floor I founded a free table.
I recommend you the first floor because it's quite, you can relax and see your football team, there are 2 different TV with 2 different sports or math.. Prefect!
The food was very nice and the Guinness so lovely! I will return 💪
D. T.
Always get the chicken platter and a pint, amazing food and decent prices considering where it is
P. M.
Had a recent refurb, toilets have improved. Great gin glasses if you get in early. Outside has heaters - but only by the tables. Gets busy, and has a lot of tourists passing through. Overal decent
M. S.
Friendly staff and a nice selection of festive appetisers. Try the Rampaging Rudolf Ale!
P. G.
Food is very nice, waiter with black shirt and trousers very professional and friendly
A. A.
Very friendly staff and excellent service. Gr8 Location to chill out!
M. M.
Nice atmosphere and good selection of beers and wine
J. H.
Nice little pub situated in Soho, good to refuel before shopping.
A. N.
Great pub! Mario is a legend and really friendly!
B. B.
Had a nice pint or two, or was it four? I can't quite remember
J. D.
Found room to sit, ordered online and was served promptly. Drinks a little pricey but it is London. Loads of flies in toilet and not monitored
D. T.
Great pub. Had the lamb shank shepherd's pie which was excellent. Solid beer selection.
Z. S.
Lovely pub food and well priced for the centre of London, well presented and hot
J. M.
Nice pub but food is just average..
B.
Located on the corner of Carnaby Street, a great little pub, they keep a good pint as well. Sit outside and relax, chat and watch the world go by.
S. D.
Staff are okay. Had problems ordering on the app, paid for drinks but it didn't show up on the system. Took a while to rectify but we got our order. Overall not a bad pub but very expensive for what it is.
s. d.
Went in on a Friday afternoon it was fairly busy but we managed to get a seat. We ordered our food and the wait wasn't to bad of a wait the food was good the only lacking part was the toilets there fairly Grim and in need of work.
D. M.
Great pub. Nicely located off regent street and soho. Good selection of beers.
H. S.
Bit pricey but well worth it to drink in the west end
L. C.
Can get a bit crowded but great place for an evening drink..
O. J.
Excellent location, food was pretty good, drinks at very reasonable prices. Staff attitude perhaps can be a lot better although it seems they are just tired with how busy the place is
P. P.
Friendly attentive staff, Guiness was superb and food quick and edible.
G. V.
Always a good time here and great atmosphere
M. S.
Pretty common English pub, nice space road side and common draft selection of beer
A. S.
Spot for quick pints by the side of the busy street corner.
A. R.
Really lovely staff. The wine was fantastic too.
L. F.
Nice pub and good beer selection. Good value for the price.
P. J.
Nice food had the chicken burger would recommend
W. A.
Great pub with good pub food and good selection of drinks
C. G.
First time here, have passed by many times but it was always very busy and being on Carnaby Street seemed a bit touristy. With the current situation it was quieter bit still had a good atmosphere. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food we ordered was pretty good. Would definitely return when able to
G. H.
Excellent pub with great selection of ales
A. L.
Asahi on tap. Footy on the telly. Where you want to be for a rainy night in Soho.
r. m.
Tasty ciders and great fresh Guinness
A. S.
It's a very good pub in a great location. The location is very happening during the evenings. They have a nice selection of drinks. The pub is two-storeyed, the ground floor is for walk-ins and the upper floor is for reservations. The place is packed in the evenings and on weekends. So it's better to book the table in advance. Staff is friendly and they have a good selection of food as well, to go with drinks. In conclusion, a nice place to visit for a good time.
A. B.
Table service friendly staff food tasty
t. T.
Nice place and there has delicious burgers
R. H.
Standard Green King pub but really expensive. Over £13 for 2 pints!!!!
G. N.
Excellent service a good selection of beers.
Can be difficult to get a table.
N. L.
A nice pub but there are much better within a short walk
A. M.
Good pub to drink at with fast table service and adequate spacing between tables. Food a little expensive but relative to London prices
p. m.
We reserved the upstairs lounge, food and service very good and overall very reasonable prices. Highly recommend this function venue. We had prosecco all afternoon and more than enough food for 35 people, all under £500.00
M. C.
Nice pub for a quick beer 🍺while the wives go round Carnaby Street
D. L.
Nice place in Soho, traditional pub menu, choice of beer could be wider, often overcrowded but recommended anyway. I loved it.
Ground floor is noizier, but upstairs is quite a quiet place.
Yup can watch football matches on a bug screen.
The personnel us cheerful and friendly.
j. r.
Had a great time watching the football. The team were great and so was Mario the manager. Awesome night.
S. E.
Nice pub friendly staff great
E. S.
Very nice pub. Their food is good, nothing blowing you away but good for value. Thursdays they have a curry special with a pint for 6.99 pounds. Really good deals on food and from what my friends ordered the fish and chips did not disappoint. Highly recommended and a great drinking place too.
E. S.
We visit this place twice! Ccool spot
V. S.
Quaint, traditional pub with great pub grub smack in the middle of London. Perfect for something simple.
J. P.
We both had the pulled pork burritos which were very tasty, the beer is perfect - what more do you want for a pub in London? We sat upstairs and were seated straight away, the wait for the food was perfectly reasonable, considering they were very busy as it's December and there's a lot of Christmas shoppers. Very happy and would definitely recommend.
L. M.
Excellent fish and chips
Z. P.
This pub is a great old English style pub, the food is homely and in large proportion, service is friendly and they allow to sample their beers before choosing. A great place to stop and relax a bit to escape the race of the local shoppers due to it's location.
M. K.
Loud place but Fish & Chips here is just delicious!
A.
The girl at the door (checking for the nhs app etc) had a really bad attitute. Venues that are located in such a great possition should take care more of who they hire.
G. W.
Brilliant location and wonderful cosy pub like atmosphere on a rainy autumn day for winter warming drinks. Staff are very friendly and helpful. In London and in a tourist hot spot this could have HUGE potential.
However, if you are hungry avoid eating here, the food portions are small , not overly tasty and largely overpriced. I Wish I could upload the picture of my chicken burger that had a very thin slice of chicken inside. None of the beef burgers on the menu were available on the weekend.
Reminds me of a rather expensive harvester and I would be surprised if the food isn’t microwaved.
Staff - friendly and helpful
Atmosphere- lovely and cosy
Drink selection - Great
Food - Very Poor
E.
Nice pub. Very well located. We got a table on a Friday after work (at 5:30pm), which can be quite hard in this area of London. The food wasn't amazing, basic pub food and not great quality, but I would recommend this pub for after work drinks. Staff was very friendly as well.
J. S.
Alright kinda racist but that's normal right?
K.
Great pub with more than plenty of choices to pick your poison, so to speak. Atmosphere seemed to be what one would expect in a British pub. Indoor and outdoor seating. Don't miss out on the outdoor seating while you enjoy a pint and take in the hustle and bustle of Carnaby Street
C. G.
Nice pub in the heart of Carnaby Street with outside seating and nice screens inside for sports fans 👍
D. B.
Quick visit with friends for a couple of beers. The selection is OK: I originally thought it would be one of those boring pubs where you can only have Peroni and Foster's, but they had a few more interesting ones and some bottles. The interior was a bit chaotic, but we sat outside in a warm summer evening and had a reasonably good time.
R. B.
Great traditional English pub in the heart of the city
L. L.
Very good, charming staff
M. L.
Nice place to eat and drink! The staff are very kindly and the food is awesome! We take a fish and chips and a meat pie that were very good! Even if the place could looks like a little bit touristic it will be the right place to pass a different night
D. C.
Cosy place with the yummiest chicken sandwich on ciabatta bread and very tasty burgers and salted beef burgers. The day that we were there they had a senior citizens tour so we had to wait a while, but the staff were friendly and apologised and we fully understood. Prices are reasonable.
S. P.
Excellent pub at Soho area. Can get crowded in the evenings with after office crowds flocking to wind down. Good selection of beers and ale - try the Punk IPA. Also, the nachos with pulled pork was quite decent
N. F. (. O.
I like the place upstairs, it's always quite for a nice chat even on Saturday evening, I just don't think they serve any food there, or at least not the day I was asking for it, not quite sure though.
S. T. G.
Food was ok, toilet facilities were down right disgusting. Smelly and large puddles of what I sincerely hope is water on the floor. When we visited there was not possible to order food on the 1st floor. Had do go down to ground floor. Excellent beer, though.
W. E.
Great pub. Lovely staff. Wonderful location and they show football. Quite busy, but a place you can also eat. Bar upstairs as well as down stairs
T. M. K.
It is in SOHO a traditional like English pub with extremely annoying service system if you sit upstairs. You have to go down to order and you have to know your table number. Otherwise they not serving you. You have to take your drinks upstairs which is a real challenge. Service was unkind food ok.
K. A.
Cosy place with desent food. The burgers were a bit dry for my taste.
Unfriendly staff and overall bad service even though it wasn't too busy. We waited 15 minutes to order and another 30 minutes to get our food. Desent selection in beer but the staff made the visit unpleasent.
K.
Food was very nice but service a little rushed. Didn't seem great believers in the human touch.
G. C.
Loved it busy and buzy
T. M.
Fantastic pub. Great place to watch sport ,while having a nice relaxing drink and good food. Staff were pleasant and friendly too
R.
Nice place for a good dring while your wife roaming around on Oxford street.
M. K.
Great pub with top floor seating if you want to go and eat in peace. The pub downstairs feels very cozy and warm. Great for a quick bite or drink
A. M.
Nice place to eat some typical British pub meals. Good quality and reasonable price. The staff is friendly and it’s very well located nearby Carnaby Street.
R. T.
Needed beer, had beer. Served its purpose. Can't complain.
H. M.
Nice pub, great beer
A. M.
Quaint, cozy, traditional pub with the usual great choice of beers and other alcoholic drinks. For sure it's worth to try the Fish & Chips. Also a popular destination for tourists. Friendly staff and service.
C. M.
Nice little pub set in an ideal location on the end of Carnaby Street near to Oxford Circus tube station. Always a very popular place. Has a decent selection of beers and a decent menu.
A. D.
Decent pub on corner of carnaby Street.. Only went for beer. Limited outside area but still good for a look at carnaby Street and life walking by. Craft beer on tap.. Neck oil.. Camden beers.. Food not tested.
P. C.
A easy getaway from everyday routine or simply a chill from long day travel. Good location with wide selection of drinks. Staff is helpful and even made me her first Highball drink (whisky soda) with Hibiki. Sweeeeeeet.
C. D.
On the corner of carnaby street, lots of tables outside, beers in the sun watching the world go by, very pleasant!
M. v. d. M.
This place actually does the best burgers in Soho! They're only available during lunch hours, but they come strongly recommended.
Main problem with this place is that it often takes far too long before you're getting seated in the restaurant.
V. F.
Nice atmosphere, but ordinary food
T. H.
Great value pub and welcoming staff
S. D.
Love this pub on the end of Carnaby Street. Lovely selection of beers, wines & spirits. The food is also great and competitively priced. Just be prepared, because this place can get very busy, especially at weekends.
A. ..
Right in the centre of Carnaby District, this is obviously a tourist pub. It offers a fairly standard Greene King experience, as per many other pubs in the area. The range of food and drink is reasonable, staff were generally polite and friendly, if a little underskilled. Prices were standard for the area, ie expensive. Shows sports.
A. S. (. R.
Had my first Guinness here. It was amazing and I regret I did not have more. There are homeless guys walking around. So if you don't like that, you shouldn't hang around here.
C. M.
Good food. Great wine. Nice location for afterwork hangouts.
J. D.
Lively bar open on Christmas Eve.
U. K.
Good old pub food
J. C.
Good atmosphere in the centre of Carnaby Street
A. M.
Food was good and the beer was cold.😉
r. w.
great shop for the special gift.
J. H.
The upstairs restaurant is tucked away so you will usually find a seat. However, the staff will always ask you not to sit on the nice tables by the window in case a big group comes in. The food is okay, but a bit overpriced.
J. Z.
Very nice place to have a Guiness. Unfortunately in a plastic bin.
J. P.
A typical Green king pub. A bit short staffed, had to wait 20 minutes for our drinks to arrive
C. Z.
Really nice place at carnaby street. Really good prices. People are friendly and smiling. It's a very nice and central place to go and drink something. The music is also good like pop rock
J. R.
Cool place! Staff were great, service was quick. Bar hands gave me samples of the beer to make sure I liked each one before I ordered
J. “. B.
Summed up by saying " could (should) do better", drinks were decent (which saves a lesser score) but the service from some of the staff was lacking.
Training new staff whose english is lacking, at a busy time on a Friday (early evening) is not a good idea. And when you get the order wrong don't demand the customer pay for the drink you poured in error (that was the trainer not the trainee) will probably revert to the place across the way in future.
I. F.
Handy positioned pub suitable for both locals and tourists. Reasonable prices. Gets busy but does have a bar and additional seating upstairs.
Л. П.
A very good pub in Central London. The ales were tasty, the traditional English food (Rump steak and Meat and Red Wine Pie) was delicious.
D. P.
Amazing place but more importantly fantastic attention from their employees. Very helpful and charismatic. Also I have forgotten something and they sent it to me.. great fish and chips!
S. B.
Tastful decorated traditional English pub with different Lager and Cask Ales. From my point of you, It would be maybe even better without the fottball screens all the time.
M. D.
Great food and great atmosphere
R. M.
I always go at the first floor because it's so beautiful... there is such a cosy and festive feeling. My favourite dish: their cheesecake. Delicious
S. M.
Very popular in Carnaby Street, crowded during the weekend. If you manage to get an empty table outside you'll enjoy your drink in a very trendy and characteristic spot in central London. Plenty of regular beggars crawl the area.
J. H.
We waited at the downstairs bar for about 10 minutes while just being ignored by staff we went to leave and noticed an upstairs bar and thought we would try again and was served really quickly and by a really lovely lady!
D. H.
They serve one of the best nachos I have ever had. In addition, the atmosphere is so good. Feel relaxed and refreshed.
N. J.
£6.10 for a pint of Hell’s. You avin a laff? Is he avin a lafff??
Aside from your overpriced beers, it’s a good watering hole, and a great place to spin a few yarns.
Authentic for a Greene King.
A. E.
A nice but small pub.It is cozy and the price for a pint is not too expensive.I paid around 5 pound for a beer.
H. G.
Nice English Pub in the famous Carnaby Street with a good selection of beers and ciders. It has a nice atmosphere with a good mixture of tourist and locals. Close to restaurants, theatres and clubs.
K. A.
We went here on saturday night, and the ambience was really nice. Its built very nice. I wouldn't shy away from visiting this place again! It took my heart 🤩
L. H.
Usual greenking pub. The food was very good and of course the beer!!
c. w.
It's Carnaby Street so you can't beat the location.
Ample room upstairs for dining so you won't be waiting long.
Bags of character and a great place to take z break from the shopping without having to leave the area.
S. B.
Lovely outside seating.
Good ordering system
N. A.
Located at the top of Carnaby Street, this is probably every tourists idea of a traditional London pub. Dark oak panels with bare wooden floor boards reinforce the image, and with name Shakespeares Head, all the boxes are ticked. It's OK but there are better pubs nearby.
Ø. A.
If you're visiting London this pub is a highly recommended stop! Located right between liberty house and Carnaby street, this quaint pub offers both a rich history, traditional interiors and friendly and efficient staff.
C. F.
A good selection of ales, greene king pub so well maintained, spacious upstairs for eating as bar area gets very busy
M. G.
Very busy pub in a busy location! Still has a great, fun environment and staff will quickly recommend the bar upstairs if the bottom floor is full.
T. O.
Obviously the best pub in London. This pub has the most popular fish n' chips in London. I also reccomend the Yorkshire Pudding
A. U.
We had a pub lunch here during the Christmas week. The food took around an hour to arrive and was not spectacular but not bad either. It was a fairly expensive meal
G. B.
Excellent boozer...it was over 30 years ago the first time I popped in...nice to see they’ve now installed toilets.
S. S.
We enjoyed london's classic: Fish&chips and beer. And it was superb! Place also great. It was quite expansive but worth it!
R. B.
Fantastic food with generous portions and a lovely gin selection! Very reasonable prices too, especially considering the location!
Wonderful and attentive service from the staff as well!
I. M.
Good food and quick service.
S. L.
I always seem to end up in this pub, great place to lose an hour or two whilst my wife and daughter were shopping, haven't tried the food but a good selection of lager/ipa
S. C.
Nice little pub showing the sport
S. v.
Nice and cozy pub with a good selection. Always crowded in the afternoon and evening so you're lucky if you get a place to sit.
s. s.
Beautiful pub and good service.
s. a.
Great old pub, friendly staff. Food looked good. Gets very busy, so sometimes difficult to get a table but defiantly worth a look.
I. R.
Found this place aftet another local pub was overcrowded and very noisy. The food was ok..nothing special and I simply cannot reconcile £6.05 for a lager shandy even though we were in the West End.
D. Z. M.
Great location, I love that the bar has kept its original looking, the building by itself very very beautiful. Friendly staff, correct and right serving and service
U. C.
Good regular pub, ground floor is usually busy but upstairs generally has tables and is quieter
D. H.
Very close to the Oxford Circus retail therapy. If you get hungry this is a good place to grab a bite. Delicious fish and chips and burgers! Nice beers and ciders! :)
R.
nice pub in central London
T. S.
Lovely atmospheric pub. Only minus point was state of the toilets. On a busy Friday night perhaps that's difficult to oversee.
M. T.
The prices are quite fair and the staff are quite friendly. It seems like a fairly local kind of joint, and it's not a bad place to go for a casual business meeting or just to kill some time.
N. C.
Great place to have drinks and not too steep price wise. Good food and great fun atmosphere :)
M. H.
Nice atmosphere, good location and fast service. Food quite good but the mashed potatoes in the "bangers and mash" was fake (definitely made from powder and not real potatoes). Burger really good!
Θ. Γ.
Nice pub, little bit expensive though
N. W.
A great little place in Carnaby Street, staff was great.
R. S.
Awesome place. Liverpool won 2 matches there.
C. D.
Decent place for food, but struggle for a table at busy times. Great value for money given the location. The tip is go upstairs.
B. J.
Good little pub, nice atmosphere.. nothing spectacular, but the cider was great. Didn't have any food.
K. D.
Great location in Central London, lots of different rooms but they still manage to serve drinks quickly however mobbed they are!
t. h.
Nice little pub to sit down for a quick drink whilst shopping. The food looked great as well!
J. H.
Watched the rugby. Many TV's and had a Shakespear Ale. Chicken wings were good but not spicy enough.
a. k.
Great location, good drinks selection. Resonable service in such a busy place. But as I said, always busy and crowded.
P. M.
Lovely pub. Good selection of drinks, nice atmosphere and friendly staff
J. W.
It was ok. But I don't like the fact that the server's don't seat you and take your orders. You have to go to the front to order and then find a table. Food was average.
C. G.
Standard pub in central London. Prices are as expected for a touristy area and the drinks that are available are pretty standard. Nothing really sets this pub apart, but it's not bad.
S. H.
For what we visited ,they had a good beer selection on tap ale lager etc.. Nice place, small, near the Palladium.
F. V.
It's my favourite pub in the area..courtesy and good selection of draft beers...one of the best fish and chips in town..around £ 12 do not miss it
S. W.
Great pub

It's ok not a weatherspoons so a bit pricey for food that's similar. Nice relaxing area upstairs for eating.
C. T.
Great little place. Clearly open to tourists and locals alike. Fun drinks and food options.
P. S.
Great spot for people watching (when the weather's fine).
Good selection of beer and friendly staff.
J. M.
Popular with the tourists by day. They have a bar upstairs, so that helps with beating the queues. Good respite from relentless shopping.
S. E.
Very good service. Fair pub fair for lunch at a reasonable price in a nice part of town.
L. R.
Excellent. British food well cooked. Personnel professional and kind. Tipical old british atmosphere.

Food bland, but passable, toilets rank, no toilet paper no soap and didn't look like there had been for some time and hand dryer had seen better days!

K. H.
Great little pub. Good selection of beers, fair prices.
J. K.
Stumbled across this place while searching for a landmark which had been removed, and it turned the night from a disappointment to a great time, unfortunately it was a little bit crowded, but that was most probably due to the fact that the world darts championship final was on and Phil "The Power" Taylor stole the show
K. L.
It was ok but the Ale I had didn’t taste that, most likely the end of the barrel.
T. W.
Friendly staff, cosy pub, and food was nice.
