T. C.What a fantastic find. This East end boozer has charm and quality in excess. Friendly and very efficient service, good beers and spirits, simple food, burgers and pizzas as good as you'll find anywhere, really, anywhere, and an easy, friendly atmosphere. It does everything right. Best value eating House in London.
a. r.Unexpectedly the best pub I stumbled into. Well not litetally stumbled, our host recommended it. Very nice local East end pub with great burger and spicey chicken wings. The Romanian chef was very friendly and delivered our food himself, made for a great value friendly experience.
G. R.The food I’m here is absolutely lovely! I especially enjoy the pizzas which accompanied by a pint of the local ales on tap are perfect! The decor is nice with very modern bathrooms. The pub is extremely clean and offers a friendly environment for both locals and office workers around!
K. A.Stumbled across this late on Tuesday and Michaela had just called last orders and cleaned the bar. Despite this she was so accommodating to us and let us stay for a few drinks and play darts. The pub is great, clean and has welcoming staff! Would highly recommend!
J. ..Amazing place ! me and a friend of mine walked in 10 mins after kitchen was shut, but chef was so nice so he ended up making us few pizza. Saying that we also had a dog with us and they were so friendly. They gave him lots of treats and played with him. Definitely will make it my local pub!

The food served here is spot on! The menu is has a wide variety of pizzas, burgers, hot dogs and more; with Vegitarian and Vegan options available. The guy who runs the kitchen clearly has a passion for food which is reflected in the grub served.

❤️ Popped in on a Friday afternoon around 3pm and the pub was quite, only myself and another fella reading the paper. The pub is modern inside with exposed brick work and has a well kept bar. There is a diverse selection of beers, I had the Pilsner Urquell which was a decent pint. The food menu has a good choice of traditional pub grub plus tacos and jerk chicken wings. The bar staff were friendly and there’s a pleasant feel about the place. Overall The Sydney Smith is a tidy pub with good beers which is gets a tick in my book.

D. C.Not the best choice of lagers if you like a basic lager. However if you prefer a classic German or Italian beer you'll be fine.
I. A.Delicious food, quality customer service, and chill atmosphere. Best pizza in the area if you ask me. Frequent there enough and it’ll start to feel like a true local spot, like in a sitcom or something
D. H.Nice pub, relaxed atmosphere and plenty of space. A little bit off the beaten path so great for after work drinks. Guinness and music selection is on point 👌🏻 Come for one, stay for the other.
R. A.It's a bit hit and miss here. Sometimes it's really good and then other times not so good. For example today I had mini fish and sweet potato fries. The last time I was charged the same price as if I had got it with fries this time I was charged more. The fish was a lot better the last time as today it was greasy and tasteless.
They got my colleague's order wrong but they did compensate her with a free burger and onion rings.

J. M.Back at this place some time after my last review. They are dealing with the new COVID19 rules very well, without ruining the pub experience. The food is as spectacular as before with some new dishes available, I would recommend the freshly made pizzas that are now in two sizes. The service is friendly and there is a good selection of drinks for all tastes. Expect a warm welcome and a smile, even if it is behind a mask.

Ruth and Morgan were so friendly and wonderful to us the entire time. The music is great, the foods amazing and the beer is even better. I would recommend this place to everyone I know. Thanks for making us feel at home while visiting London. We will definetly miss this amazing place. I recommend a pint of the Noble and the Stake Ale Pie. The chef here is also amazing, fast, friendly and even a better cook than I.

N. P.Absolutely wonderful experience for a newly opened diner. Travelling from Australia we wanted a quick bite to eat before heading to our hostel nearby. The service was fantastic, the food was delicious and they had some great deals as well. The chef did forget to add in our extra bacon to our burgers but was profusely apologetic and even gave us an extra bowl of chips! He was lovely as were he staff, 10/10 would recommend.

-.Very nice albeit smallish pub, the food is very tasty but it can get crowded very quickly. Worth a visit during the week for a quiet meal, they have offers that make your meal slightly cheaper.

Recently re-opened as the Sir Sydney Smith, the pub is in fine condition with great selections of beer and wine. Sat along an otherwise nothing road, it's the highlight pub of the area.
N. B.What a cracking little boozer! Monday nights are not to missed. A pizza and a pint for a tenner and what a pizza!
Seriously, if you're staying in Wombats or simply passing through you'd be missing out if you didn't dive inside for a pint.
