Reviews of Sky Backstage at The O2

Great private lounge in the O2 arena. Several other reviewers seem very keen to complain about this site, but in reality it is quite good - you have access to private bars, clean facilities, comfortable seating, and direct access to the arena without the huge queues! Great drinks menu and decent bar food which costs what one would expect in a massive arena. Definitely recommended, *much* better than queuing up with the rest of the folks outside!

Didn't know what to expect at all as I couldn't find any info before I went. You have to queue if you get there early so we didn't bother and went for a wander. Got back and there was no queue so we headed in. You walk through a sort of showcase of sky products which is fine, up a few sets of stairs and enter the venue so show your tickets for the show you are there to see, go through security well before the rest of the crowd are let inside. You then go up more steps till you are above and behind the stage area. No view on our event but we could clearly hear sound check which was great. Not cheap at £12.50 for a ceaser salad and £7.50 a pint but standard venue pricing. Food was good there was lots of seating but because we got there late we headed to the lower section and found a gap in the curtains so we could see in to the venu which is totally massive. At first I didn't think it was good but there was places to sit a nice clean toilet and a way smaller crowd to contend with than in the rest of the concourse area. Genuinely impressed and a great benifit for sky customers!

Nice to get a slightly quieter drink before a show can get food too but we didn’t partake, cocktails were good though

Lovely experience relaxed before the concert. Staff are so lovely. Special shout out to Sharon & Lisa. Top ladies

It's a bit pricey, but actually quite reasonable for an arena/stadium type place. Nice and relaxed, with space to sit down away from the big crowds. Decent selection of drinks and the food was good too. Staff are very friendly and welcoming.

Nice area, limited choices and fairly expensive,
Poor management to find entrance now that virgin media taken over box at entrance.

Great place to go before a show. Drinks and food are a little expensive but it's the 02 and it's London so shouldn't be surprised. A little disappointed that you can't see out in to the arena as there are curtains there but still better than waiting outside.

Nice relaxed atmosphere. Expensive for your drinks. But it's London. Going to pay London prices

Fab bar. Cool drinks & atmosphere. Has a few things going on for concert goers like VR or glitter face decorations. Mocktails & food too. Slightly cheaper than the O2 itself.

Not bad... There were a few things to do, drinks were expensive and we couldn't see into the arena the entire time because of the huge black curtain. That being said, the actual place was really nice to chill at until the concert was ready. You certainly get to beat the rush, it's a unique opportunity and I recommend you at least try it!

Nice place to stay before concerts at the O2, but avoid the food.
Pros: relaxed away from the noise downstairs
Easy access into main venue afterwards
Hand massages
Plenty room to sit and smart area
It's free from sky.
Cons: Food is very poor, either lack of toppings or cold, and expensive, don't eat here!!
Drinks here and at o2 expensive £6.50 a pint, £7 downstairs.
Lack of places to charge phone.
Got to queue to get in, get there early.

Went to see Snow Patrol last night and went into Sky Backstage Lounge beforehand! Had an amazing evening!! Was treated to complimentary nails, glitter makeup on our face, a photo and had some gorgeous cocktails! Got some cosy seats and heard the music clearly of some the support acts as it is located just behind the main stage. This really made the whole gig and experience so much better and cannot recommend sky backstage enough! I didn’t order any of the food so can’t comment on that but only have positive things to report on the rest of the experience!! ❤️❤️

Experiences are excellent. With added benefit of no queue to get in stadium. However Food is average and drinks same price as main bars. Nice to have space to sit before the performance though so would recommend booking.

Great place for warm up food and drinks

A really nice way to spend your time before the show starts, relaxed trendy atmosphere, probably the best bar in the building, staff are very friendly and helpful. Would gladly go again.

Not very good experience, really overpriced and although we did expected didn't really match the quality neither of the drinks or service or the lack of it. So not that VIP just a bar where you can grab a drink yet you can do that for much cheaper in one of the bars in the arena

It was a bit dark and the arrangements of the chairs and tables are bit confusing as to where are you supposed to go for a quick meal and a place just to drink. Drinks and food are but pricey for their taste and service so I would recommend to eat and drink outside as there are plenty of restaurants within the arena.

As always, it's lovely road come here before the show! I had the chicken tenders with fries and salad which was lovely! I had "one night in Paris" for my drink!

Really nice!!! Bar overlooking the the stage and no queues. About £10 for a cocktail and £6.50 for a pint of beer

Nice place to relax before the show. Drinks are a bit pricey. Do not like that they want to go cashless.

There was a glitter makeup bar but the queue was so long and moved so slowly as there were bot enough staff even though it was so popular.

Loved the area, plenty photo ops and very friendly staff. A must visit if going to the 02 as it sets the mood right before a concert 👍👍👍👍👍😎

Nice venue, great atmosphere & brilliant bar staff. Far too long queues & waiting to get in.

My mate booked it and it was great, able to have somewhere to sit and have a drink, then go into the o2 without a que to wait in, well worth it 👍

This is a great venue, cant say much as it was simply a great evening. Highly recommended and will be back.

Definitely worth the visit strong competition between the sky lounge and the Amex, but Sky was better before the show.

A nice enough setup, just a seemingly never ending amount of stairs to climb and not enough bar staff to cope with the amount of customers...

Nice and chilled good selection of drinks and food, great friendly staff

Excellent venue. Really great service and the food was superb.

It could be a lovely relaxed area and has lots of potential. However more bar staff are needed. If you're buying a drink I would buy more than one at a time (but they are expensive £13 for a double spirit and £10 for a cocktail) otherwise you will have a very long wait to be served again. More seating would be nice. We ate in one of the restaurants around the arena. Glad we did as there were ques for food in the backstage area and nowhere to sit and enjoy it. Been there and done it now. Probably wouldn't do it again.
