Reviews of Sports Bar & Grill Farringdon
K. B.
First time with my boyfriend and he loved it. The food the drinks the staff the TV all was super amazing. He loved the TV I thought we would never leave. Hat off the the chef.
J. B.
Great hot wings and hospitable service. More TV screens than I have seen in a long time. Good place to watch early NFL games.
M. S.
Visited to watch Hungry - England match. Nice atmosphere, lovely food. Amazing people especially our waiter Roman who served us on that day. He made us feel really special and gave us wonderful service🤩 well done! Will definitely be back.
J. W.
First time here.
Had a great time with a few friends while watching football, the place is clean and was busy, staff was great (Shout out to Nina) who kept the drinks coming, food was good as well.
Highly recommend, will definitely be returning again soon.
J. V.
Visited them for the first time and had a great time. It is a huge place with a LOT of screens. Pool tables and a dart board assures a grand time with your mates. Food was okay but then that's based on just one visit. The service was good and the staff was kind too. Clean place overall. Would certainly recommend it...
R. L.
This is a nice spacious branch of the Sports Bar & Grill chain in a quite pedestrian courtyard near Farringdon station. Not as crowded as they usually are when I went on a Tuesday, (maybe lingering effect of the pandemic) and plenty of sports screens easily visible from all the tables. Food was as good as always with quick service.
G. L.
THE place to watch any and all sporting event going on. It’s like a big American style sports bar. The food is average, but the seating is comfortable and you’re guaranteed a view of a screen and comfortable seating.
Update: the cheeseburger and halloumi salad were both enjoyed
C. P.
Can't speak highly enough about the Farringdon Sports Bar and Grill after visiting on October 9, 2021. The staff went above and beyond to ensure we had the best time possible, the atmosphere was brilliant and the facilities are top class. Great spot for large or small groups, couples or families - it caters to all. Will 100% be returning in the future.
J. W.
A no nonsense sports bar with a touch of class.
Good food selection for all ages also great beer selection for over 18s.
Highly recommend will be back.
J. R.
It's a great sports bar, plenty of screens with good views wherever you're sat. They normally spread the games to most TVs and sound quality is good too. For big champions League or premier League games the atmosphere is normally great. Reason I've given 4* is just based on the price and quality of the food, it's really expensive for what it is and only half decent.
A. C.
Amazing service at the sports bar and grill Clapham junction! I’m a coeliac and Sabina the manager came straight to the table to discuss what food options I had, also showed the allergens list, so confident to eat here again! Dominic was great to keep the drinks flowing!! Thank you for a great night out!! Highly recommend!!
C. B.
Absolutely box office evening spent in the Farringdon this past weekend. The staff were superb and made us all feel incredibly welcome. Thoroughly enjoyed the private area with the pool table and dartboards. Already looking forward to our next visit to the Farringdon!
L. V.
Great bar to watch all your favourite sporting events! Food was very good with a nice selection of beers, would defo recommend.
D. B.
Terrific location for an evening of sports viewing. Great setup and layout. Staff were absolutely brilliant throughout the evening and really added to the buzzy vibes! Will be back for sure.
W. O.
Amazing food, lovely staff and beautiful place. I will definitely have to some again.
E. d. D.
Came to watch the game with some friends and we had an amazing time! Shoutout to Harry for making our evening so comfortable. Will definitely be back!
V. M.
OMG I love it there. I can't believe I've never been before. I'm so have to come very soon. 😍😍😍
R. W.
I went to sports bar and grill last Saturday. I had such a good time it was Brilliant Service and the food was very good and I Recommend this bar as all the staff are friendly and helpful.
M. W.
Had an awesome time at bar and grill dj was amazing and the bar girl Dominique was lit and had the best customer service will definitely be coming again 🙌
L. C.
Quality pub grub, great service, good ale and footie on the big screen. What more can you ask for?!
L. P.
Great pub! Decided to watch the Euro Final, and even though the place was quite busy everything ran smoothly and out table had no issues. Special mention to Ellen and Danny who really pushed themselves the extra mile !
M. F.
The food was exquisite. Had a wonderful time there. Definitely recommend!!!
R. D. F.
Great pub!
I was there with my friends for the Euro Final. Despite the place was very crowded, the service run very quick. The staff, especially Ellen and Danny, was amazing and very friendly!
Will definitely come back
K. C.
Had a lovely time with my pals to watch the footy, great service and great food
A. S.
Amazing customer service looked after by Kyle and David very welcoming and great atmosphere for sporting events
K. H.
Friendly place. Very pleased they were able to accomodate the Leeds game, loads of screens throughout. Staff were fantastic and even offered free shots though I declined. Burger nice too. Would go again.
f. c.
very nice and chilled atmosphere. The staff is friendly, available and quick to take care of customers' needs. a particular mention to Ellen and Danny for the kindness during my stay!
I. M.
Book a table for big sporting events and receive table service. Three sport events on TV the evening I attended with friends. Go for drinks but also food menu as well. Friendly staff and good modern atmosphere. London drink prices but not silly prices.
M. L.
Decent place to watch sport, food overpriced and staff not great- kept changing channels and not putting on the right audio.
A. W.
Some great staff there! Sat there all day and night on a planned day of sports, great place.
I. A.
Loads of this with numerous sports. Only came I'm for a couple before a bottomless brunch nearby. Wish there was somewhere like this in South East London.
C. H.
Great if you want to watch sports. Brilliant service and vegetarian and vegan options on menu.
G. H.
Great atmosphere and great staff attitude. Very attentive
B. W.
Great pub but the waiting staff need 2 or 3 more employees to help them out. They are worked at 100% where mistakes start to become common. Management needs to make changes here.
G. H.
Brilliant amount of screens and good beer. But quite expensive for what it is.
B. F.
Good service and food at reasonable prices. Many TV screens.
T. B.
Stopped of on my way to Millwall very busy football on TV good beer and atmosphere
M. P.
As you would imagine great for sport, beer and junk food (burgers, pizzas, hot dogs etc). For what it's meant to be, can't fault it
S. C.
Great atmosphere, lovely staff! Will defo be going again.
S. S.
Food is excellent. Broad variety of food available. All fresh and tasty.
S. V.
Good place to watch the football, reasonably priced drinks, and the food was good, I had the salmon which was very well cooked, however the staff seemed a bit overrun, and it wasn't even that busy.
C. M.
I went to the pub to watch the Euro 2020 final and I really enjoyed the place! Thanks in particular to Ellen and John for their hard work, dedication and commitment to the customer!
L. P.
Great pub, great service for today's Styrian Gp. A mention to Lilli who's been extremely helpful and pushed herself the extra mile. Defo recommended, gonna try their food next time around !
I. L. f.
This place is amazing!!!Greeted by the very nice Ellen, we spent a pleasant evening. Thanks also to danny for making us feel at home. We will definitely be back !!!
J. B.
Great pub, we were in here after the England v Wales rugby match in March 2020, good crowd on a Saturday night, lots of football fans who were friendly and a good laugh.
J. S.
We've visited the Sports Bar & Grill in Farringdon several times, primarily as it's in a good place for us whilst we wind our way back home after our regular weekend stay.
Great for a drink, burger (sometimes hot-dog) and a bit of Sunday live sport before getting the train. Food is good, environment clean and ambience spot on for an afternoons unwind.
We've always had decent service and we'd certainly have no reason not to return.
R. S.
Decent (fairly standard) sports bar, but they can only have the sound on for one game, so, for example, if there's a rugby game on and you want to watch the football, you'll be trying to do it with incredibly loud rugby sound in the background. Isolating the sound at either end of the bar for more than one sports event would seem a fairly minimum requirement for a sports bar, hence the three stars. The food is decent, plenty of screens and a good beer selection. Expensive end of prices (£12+ for a couple of beers, ~£14+ for a burger.)
G. D.
A sports bar.
The staff are very welcoming, friendly and helpful. There is a decent variety of drinks and beer on tap, and espresso martini on tap too. The food is as you would expect from a sports bar and at reasonable prices. If you want to watch sports in a pub, this is the place to be.
j. i.
Firstly it's in an awesome location. Easy to get to for everyone. Inside is really clean with nice decor. There are loads of screens showing different sports, with one screen showing the main event of the night. It is so spacious so you never feel like you are squashed. Lots of bar seating as well as seating if you are eating there. They have a pool table too, which is a bonus. The staff were very friendly and helpful. A great experience all round! Thanks !
C. H.
Had a fantastic time watching the Euros here. Dan, josh and the team went out their way to ensure me and my friends had a great time
N. L.
Decent little gem in Farringdon. Good beer and pool. Plus, loads of boxing memorabilia.
F. C.
Usually have a burger or wings here but due to weekend guilt went for the prawn pineapple and avo salad. It was amazing. Proper good.
P. d.
Had an amazing stay at bar and grill with my friends. Particular attention to us even tho it was busy.
Thank you to Ellen and Danny!
i. j.
I came here with a couple of mates over the weekend to have a few drinks. I was amazed to see how good the atmosphere was here and how lively the place was. I would definitely recommend people to come here when they get a chance. 10/10 for amazing staff and service as well. The food was amazing as well, I had a cheese and bacon burger and I was rather surprised at how quick it was to come out due to how busy it was and the food was absolutely amazing as well, the burger was nice and juicy and the sweet potato fries were nice and crispy.
R. B.
The air-cond was leaking and I would have expected for both of us to be served at the same time and for the beer to be a bit colder as the temperature outside was quite warm.
But otherwise it's a good place to have a drink and a bit of food. The area seems quiet so it's nice to have a drink outside when it's sunny.
A. B.
Every time I come here, the atmosphere is always amazing, the staff are very pleasant and friendly and the food is delicious. There is a variety of food that will appeal to every demographic group and during sports games, the place is absolutely crowded but this isn't a problem as the staff are always efficient and work so hard to make sure everyone is taken care of. One of my favourite sports bars in London.
B. G.
Adam, Alexandra, Nina, Erika were absolutely amazing!!!
Put up with us and were kind throughout, awesome pub I highly recommend!
D. R.
I really love the place ,warm comfortable and the atmosphere is cool and the staff too especially Ellen and Danny ....give them a shot and try this lovely family.....
R.
Nice place and good location. However prices are too high for what the quality is. It's good that they have all the screens, but they are actually quite hard to watch as the seating tends to be right under the screens so you are craning your neck. Or you end up trying to look at a screen which is actually quite far away.
S. L.
So many screens, good service and the bouncer (not sure it still there) who worked there for years is easily the friendliest in the city!
J. G.
Went here to watch football, great vibes, lovely service from Ellen and Danny. Definitely will come back!
M. B.
Love this place. Me and the Mrs go down there all the time. She gets to choose a great wine while I get a refreshing pint and the chance to watch the footy on the big screen...get in! What more could you want? Great service and pucka grub....well you'll get that here too. The chicken wings are to die for!
G. N.
Had a great. Was served by amazing staff.
D. D.
This place has lots of screen with all the sports on. However, the beers were expensive and if you get table service, you have to pay a service charge on every drink. The service was a bit slow and you have to grab the attention of waiting staff to order. It was a good day but it will cost you a bit.
W. A.
Just had a nice pint of perroni whilst watching the football Great pub I will be back😀
B. B.
Recently moved from Canada and one of my friends took me here before the boxing last Saturday. I had such a great time since it reminded me so much of being in Canada and watching the hockey. It's super reminiscent of a way way way better quality buffalo wild wing. These guys are always so versatile in what they show and the staff was very genuine. Truly made me feel at home.
M.
Went at 3pm on a Tuesday, lovely and quiet. Served by a very sweet, attentive young man. Ordered a Moving Mountains vegan burger, which was absolutely lovely - juicy and tasty. Would totally eat less meat if this sort of meat substitute was more widely available.
T. W.
With a great big long bar running the length of the place and big screen TVs all around, this is a great place to have a couple of beers and watch the rugby. Whilst there's sport memorabilia dotted around, this place soon feel still feel like a chain pub. The just fine, but to be honest its nothing really too special.
A. K.
Nice range of drinks and one of the few bars in London with (American) pool tables and darts, but the service is *so slow*. We finished a game of pool while waited for our friend to buy a round. Very un-crowded though compared to all the other pubs in the area.
M. P.
Great place to watch the 2nd Yankees-Boston game! Lots of great food & a great beer selection. The manager set us up with a great table so that we could watch the Yankee game & the UK vs India cricket game. Awesome place!
R. H.
As it suggests a great place to watch sports and the food is fairly good to. Recommend the chicken wings especially when you have 50 of them not all to myself of course. Definitely worth a visit great atmosphere with a big game on just make sure you book a table as it gets rammed.
V. B.
Excellent place, we went there for Champions League and managed to get a table even though we didn't book. It got really busy. Removing one star because the 'big screen' is in fact 4 small ones put together, which leaves a nice cross right in the middle. Would be worth investing into a proper big screen imo.
A. M.
We went as a large group (approx 40 people) and were treated right the whole time. We were intending to watch an event on TV and the manager agreed in advance to let us stay late since we knew it was going to go past their last call. The manager agreed to stay with us even though they wouldn't be able to serve us beyond that time. We had great service and fair prices. The game actually went much later than anyone expected but he was a man of his word and let us stay till the end. Thank you so much for your hospitality.
R. N.
What a great bar, we came slightly out of our way to find a Sports Bar showing the Champions League (Bayern v Liverpool). What we found in Farringdon, was a bar that did exactly what it said on the tin, every table was a front row seat, the number of TVs was epic. Food was well above expectations and the Craft Beer Selection, was the best I've seen for a bar of this type. On the downside, the Jager bomb lady has ruined my day at work.
C. L.
Had been here a lot on Arsenal match days. The game experience here is intense and the number of Sony HD screens definitely would satisfies you as a football supporter. While ofc the food/drinks can be a little pricier but I personally think that's acceptable given what they offered. FYI, my friend lost his road bikes when watching the game (he locked onto a street pole). While it might be a common security issue in London, but be aware here is not an exception.
U.
Spacious with great fast service by the young staff. Food is of a good quality Diner like TGI Fridays. Could not fault, nice enjoyable Sunday Afternoon watching the NFL Eagles win and Super Sunday Football.
A. R.
Every time I have been here it has been virtually empty, good for getting a seat, bad for atmosphere. Never tried the food but I doubt it would be anything other than typical pub grub. Lots of screens for watching sport and pool tables. Service fine.
L. G.
Very slow service - the slowest I've ever experienced in a restaurant ever, over an hour. It's an interesting enough place, but the sports bar vibe feels a little cheap and tacky, and because it's tucked away, it's usually fairly quiet, which doesn't really help the atmosphere much.
J. H.
I love the pineapple beef burger. Juicy and refreshingly yummy! This is the best place in town to watch a Premier League game. There are so many screens, no one gets obstructed. And yes enjoy a beer and award winning burger!
L. J.
We went there for a quick drink with the boys, it was late so not much was happing, kitchen stop serving food, but the bar was still open.
Not much I can say, but service was quick and friendly, drinks OK priced.
Maybe next time will try it a bit earlier or when some sort of sport on TV.
S. P.
Lovely food, great service.
M. P.
Great sport and service. Too expensive - £5.95 for a 330ml bottle of Nanny State IPA (3 for £5 in Tesco and far cheaper when you can bulk buy).
Burgers more expensive than Byron (e.g. basic beef burgers). Pizzas above prices in specialist pizzerias such as Rossopomodoro.
A. M.
Camden Hells rolls in at £6.65 on the pint.
Staff are friendly but slightly dopey.
S. C.
Good split level bar, lots of screens, all high up so no idiot is standing in your way when trying to see the screen. Only down side, sound system is not the greatest, you have to strain to hear commentary, you can hear it but not well. Other than that, great, much better than others around.
T. E. J.
First time in here for the final games of the Premiership. It was a pretty good pick to be honest. Atmosphere that day was brilliant (maybe it was due to the football).
Food and drink was on the expensive side. Cheapest hot dog was £9.50, Burgers roughly starting from about £10. The food itself was good the only thing I really didnt like was the burger in a ciabatta bun?! This is a very big NO in my burger book! The service was top notch, we had a lovely Hungarian waitress serving us for most of the day and she was great considering the amount of drinks we kept ordering (note to others drinking games should not be allowed on Sundays, specially if you have work the next day)
if you are looking for a particularly great bar which doesn't get too busy on weekends then I suggest you come here.
J. S.
Terribly understaffed for a Friday evening, I had to wait at least 15-20mins just to be served and there wasn't really much of a queue. Just that the bartenders were multitasking ridiculously but friendly staff.
Decent venue to meet friends over the sports, we coincidentally metup during a Murray's Wimbledon Semis so the atmosphere was pretty special.
I would recommend this place but if the queue is long you're better off elsewhere to get served.
G. H.
True sports bar for the enthusiast! Wall to wall TVs and open for all major sporting events. Maybe just a decline in service and friendliness of the bar staff letting it down recently.
You'll need to book a table if you want a seat when is busy.
G. E.
Classic London sports bar. Good pub grub and table service if you can get a spot. Only downside was the servers are a little pushy, visiting the table a bit too often - you won't go thirsty though
G. T.
Great for its purpose. Viewing sports at a bar. lots of TVs so you can always see a screen.
Only issue is that the food is pretty bad! Not seasoned well at all and some of the side portions are quite small.
D. C.
Large pub located near Farringdon station. Perfect for big groups, and has a good enough menu if you want to eat. Also has plenty of screens and a good atmosphere when there are any big games on.
r. b.
I left a bad review for this bar thinking it was the Waterloo one....I have happily deleted it. I've been to three of these bars, farringdon, Waterloo and Marylebone. Actually the farringdon one is good, far better than Marylebone and streets ahead of the Waterloo one. Even if you've had a bad experience in one of the others of this chain, don't let it put you off this one. Much better service.
I. G.
Lots of TVs to help everyone have a viewing point. Good choice of drinks and the chicken wings are delicious. Great staff.
S. Z.
Decent service and good selection of drinks. Layout of the bar doesn't help when really busy and all the tables are occupied.
j. w.
Great place to watch sports have a wide selection of beers and food at very reasonable rates. Mine host Andy very willing to accommodate any sports like nrl and afl etc.
B. B.
Great venue for catching the rugby, even the early matches such as Tri-Nations, Lions tour etc with its early opening. Lots of screens, friendly staff and great food.
M. M.
A great place to watch any sporting event. Decent food, fast service and lots of screens. Make sure you get there early as it does get very busy at peak times for big games.
A. F.
The staff were extremely accommodating finding a NCAA College Football game we were trying to watch on the same night as the Anthony Joshua fight. They were attentive throughout the night making sure we had all the food and drink we wanted.
S. A.
Great place to catch the game with so many TVs everywhere so that any seat has a great view. We went for the game, but the food was also quite good and they have a delicious selection of cheesecakes!
J. A.
Good view of screens from pretty much every table , but the place is heavily understaffed. Need to be a little patient when ordering, but I guess football matches last long so not a massive inconvenience
E. H.
Very good sports bar, plenty of screens, decent food. When you book a table make sure to say which match you want to see and they'll put you in the right section.
D. C.
Nice place to watch games, tons of TVs and all hd, and a fun place to hang out. 5 stars for that.
1 star for food and service. Beers take forever, food was over an hour, completely understaffed.
P. G.
Quite a nice sport bar it's nice and cool especially in this hot weather. 🍻 drinks and food 🍲 are a bit pricey. But this is the city of London. Quite a nice big airy place
M. C.
Great place to watch the sports with a good atmosphere. Not your typical shady sports bar as it tends to be full of people who earn good money that work in the city. The service is quick and staff are friendly. The food is quite expensive but very fresh and tasty!
R. S.
Went in around lunch time and it was nice a quiet, not too busy considering it's in the city. Only down side was that they only had one cue as the others were broken, other then that I would recommend..
R. S.
Great for watching sport. TVs everywhere. Drinks could be a bit cheaper, but otherwise no complaints.
Book ahead if it's a big game/you're in a group.
A. H.
Decent place, a tiny bit expensive and the dartboards need replacing (and set at the correct height!!!) But a good place overall. Worth a visit.
D. D.
Great sports, service and food! Booked a table to see one of the matches and everything was just great! 10/10 would recommend.
D. C.
This should be a hidden gem. The food is amazing and the staff are really friendly! It’s huge so seating hasn’t been a problem on the occasions I’ve been here.
J. A.
Good place for those who like football.
E. S.
Only has sound for one game at a time so you have to make sure it's playing the sound for the sport you're interested in watching before coming
J. L.
Food could of been better, but as a sports bar not bad at all.
C. O.
Good for watching sport with a crazy amount of screens so you get a good view no matter where you're sitting, but it's expensive (£6 a pint) and the food wasn't very good.
E. B.
Service was very, very slow. Food is okay but overpriced. Website says they do Sunday roasts but they don't which was disappointing and the response when I mentioned this was not apologetic.
O. T.
Went here with a friend to watch football. Enjoyed myself. Friendly staff who gave us table service. Had a burger which arrived in light speed, was tasty.
S. B.
Does the job. Good place to meet. Staff friendly enough. Service a bit wooden by manager. Served out of turn a couple of times but always thanked for waiting.
P. N.
Hundreds of top quality screens of sport! Good range of pub food. A little bit pricey and not the greatest range of beer/lager.
E. R.
Does what it says on the tin, wasn't hear to watch sport on this occasion but have been in the past. Service is okay, food is a bit over priced and greasy but good for a fun night!
M. W.
Lots of screens and decent atmosphere but asked for a G&T and they served me a £12 premium spirit!
A. N.
Great venue, not so great bar staff. Might have just been a bad day but seemed to take ages to get served even with an empty bar. Great food and great atmosphere though. Just a shame the service was a little slow
M. S.
Great bar with three pool tables to play away the hours, loads of different sports on the tvs dotted around the bar and the staff are very helpful..
D. B.
Great atmosphere for watching top class football with multiple screens around the seating area. Good food too.
s. t.
Good place if you like sports. Large number of screens with all the major sports going on. Good area to sit outside too.
A. G.
Great sports bar near the station. Good selection of food and nice big portions. Lots of TVs with a selection of sports and memorabilia dotted around.
J. L.
Ribs were really meaty and fell off the bone. Only downside was I wish I had a water washing bowl, but this a sports bar after all.
M. F.
Only place to watch southen hemisphere rugby in central London. Avocado and toast was on par with what I make at home. Bacon sandwich came with a crust piece...
M. C.
My friend and I went there last night to watch the Olympics and we were very disappointed. The place was very loud, we couldn't hear a thing. We waited a long time to get served and the food was cold.
K. G.
Fairly quiet tonight but beer good and food choice which is really Yes Mex with other options good. No draft bitters which is a negative
D. R.
Today was a great day. I found the sports bar & grill, what a gem. Amazing service. Tables outside 👍🏼
C. B.
Lovely staff the waiter is so friendly. Good social distancing
C. C.
Great food, Beer and service! Top atmosphere for footy and a game of pool afterwards!!
S. B.
Love the food and atmosphere. I if I ever need a good place to wind down its here. Staff are very friendly and service is great.
M. K.
Very good. Friendly staff, good food, great sports coverage.
W. S.
Food was grrat and very spacious inside, can take awhile for food to arrive but thats quite normal when having a large table.
A. C.
Excellent for watching football.
a. g.
Great atmosphere, screens all around so that you dont miss the action, food is great as well..
N. Z.
Good place to watch football. The capacity is limited so book or go before peak hours.
T. W.
Have upped their beer game recently and the food is great, plus any live sport you want!
S. G.
Great food and accessible prices
A. W.
Loads of screen, decent beer. Didn't eat but it looked banging. Tony from Hollyoaks was there
B. W.
great place to watch the rugby. good atmosphere. book ahead to get a table.
D. C.
Very smart bar with plenty of tv screens and plenty of sports on but very expensive! £5.30 for a pint of kronemburg!
C. N.
Enjoyed it great service good food and drink
a. h.
Good beer selection and very good burgers. Service can be a bit slow.
S. Y.
Good bar. Nice beers on tap. Service was great. Vibe was nice.
S. I.
Very nice place to watch games! It has A LOT of screens and the food is really tasty!
D. E.
Very good American fair. Best wings, very good BBQ Ribs and all round good place to watch Football - many TV's.
Really like the place *****
S. T.
They show the Huddersfield town matches.
Good sharing platters, beer choice and it's spacious.
S. S.
