Nice pub which allows dogs and is close to Camden Market. They were very pricey but the food was pretty good.

Okay where to start... The Spread Eagle has mixed views, mostly good. Been wanting to go for a while but I’m never in the area and finally got the the time to go.I went with the family for evening dinner. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, the atmosphere was calm and the food was amazing! It took us all by surprise.. it’s a bit pricey for most, including us, but the quality of the food was worth it. Highly recommended this pub! We will definitely be returning. Thanks for a Pleasant evening!

We recently had our work Christmas party at the Spread Eagle and it was fantastic, they were accommodating to all our needs, supported us with choices within our budget and made the booking process very easy. Plus the food and drinks were great!

I hired the Snug and the Eyrie at the Spread Eagle for my 40th birthday and couldn't have asked for a better experience. Prior to the event, communication with the pub was perfect - responsive, understanding and friendly. We arrived a bit early on the night and were shown up to the lovely rooms upstairs by the friendly and attentive staff, who continued to come around and check everything was ok, take drinks orders, and make sure everything was alright with a member of our party who had special dietary requirements. We had the option to play our own music in the room, and the food and drink was excellent and served exactly when the team had said it was going to be served, and the private rooms even have their own toilet! Great selection of beers, wines, spirits and cocktails to choose from. Absolutely 5* night - thank you!

Went here by chance whilst walking from the zoo into Camden, we love a good Sunday roast and have ate them at loads of 'top rated' bars and restaurants in London. Have to say this has been better than 90% of them, the chef knows exactly how to knock a roast out and the staff were spot on too! They also pour a cracking pint of hell's so it's a win win! See you Sunday! :)

I had always been excited to finally visit this wee pub after two years of walking past it. I read many delightful reviews of the sunday roast and although it seemed pricey, I thought to give it a go. Unfortunately I was very disappointed. I ordered the children's portion and my partner had the beef ox cheek. He got one more potato and carrot than me. The parsnip was mashed with some weird spices and the potato's were dry. The ox cheek was a tiny portion with a bland under seasoned beef slice on top. The meal wasn't served with gravy until we asked for it and the gravy was also bland. We both meals were a bit cold and got more so as we waited for standard condiments. Not sure what the veggies were about, a swipe of pumpkin puree replaced any greens and the flavours were a weird combination. Yorkshire were amazing but for £19 I would have expected alot more considering the Hawksmoor is only £6 more. We drank guiness which was not let to settle. The staff were polite and friendly but the food really let us down. A nice boozer but wouldn't eat here for the price.

I gave three stars because the decor and selection of drinks feel generic and box standard, as part of a chain. Give the pub some character and individuality. Also, we could smell the toilets from where we were seated.

We used the upstairs function room for an event and it was SO perfect! It has its own toilet and just felt really special. The space is so well designed, you can really do a lot with it. It's also very nicely decorated. We all had Sunday roasts which were delicious. On top of that, the staff were very attentive and friendly. I would definitely recommend it.

Terrific, busy pub in the heart of Camden Town. Good food, good beer and a great atmosphere. If you want to eat here at busy times you will need to book or be prepared for a long wait for a table as once people get settled here they tend to stay. One of my favourite pubs.

Great place to have drinks or book a party upstairs. Rarely need to queue for longer than 3minutes to get a drink. I celebrated football awards in this venue for two years in a row and everybody enjoyed it. Although place could stay open longer, they are losing loads costumers by closing at midnight. Upstairs they provide sockets, seats, table, you can listen your own music by bringing your own speaker and enjoy your company. Great place, recomend it!

An ok pub, with nice staff, however, the beer selection is quite poor for a pub of this size, and the food is mediocre and some of it feels pricy for what it is. There's also weird smell, not the usual stale beer, but a more musty, old uncleaned dust smell.

Attractive pub just a short walk away from the madness of the market area and worth the effort to get a seat and food on a Saturday lunchtime! Good selection of beers. Unfortunately, 3 out of 4 of us made the mistake of ordering the braised salt beef sandwich. The beef was tough and too thick, the cheese turned out to be processed slices and the two tiny slices of gherkins hardly account for "pickles" and were a bit lost. Also, the sandwiches were toasted (not mentioned on the menu) and made the experience even more difficult. (By comparison, I had a similar lunch the day before in Clerkenwell which had soft, doorstep bread, beautiful melted blue cheese and shredded ham hock... same price). However, this bad luck with one meal wouldn't put us off coming back, the staff took notice of our complaint and discounted our bill, with apologies. Fair enough!

Yesterday morning we have organised a meeting in the venue offered by the pub. The venue was amazing, able to comfortably sit 25/30 people and the customer service provided by the staff was impeccable!!! Plus we had a fantastic choice of dishes for lunch at a more than reasonable price! Absolutely happy with our experience and I heartily recommend this place to whoever wants to stop for a drink/mean or organise a meeting!! Thank you guys you have been wonderful!!

Been searching for a decent Sunday Roast for so long. Stumbled across the Spread Eagle. What can I say but an absolute joy from the first professional call to book a table, impeccably friendly and professional service and a roast that was everything and more than we wished for. Finally a gem amongst all the pretentious and usually sub standard places to eat in London. Instantly got that feeling of a it being a welcoming, local favourite place you always choose because it makes life feel good. Thank you for restoring my faith and am so looking forward to introducing all my friends to this great place to eat.

We came to Spread Eagle straight form trip around Camden on the first day of our visit in London. We were tired and most of all hungry. The food was amazing, chicken burger was tender and pork ribs were enormous. Definetly a place worth visiting

A staff member at this pub was very rude to my friend who doesn't speak English as her first language. Look out for her, she's the staff member who looks how Amy Winehouse would have looked at the age of 60. Treat everyone with respect and have a bit of patience, for people who don't speak the Queen's English and come to the bar pointing at the menu at what they want to order, it's a pub based in Central London for God's sake you're going to have customers who are tourists who just want to experience drinking beer in an English pub. I wish my friend had cancelled the order and told me about how rude this staff member was but this staff member made her feel so embarrassed that she paid anyway and didn't tell me about her experience until we had left the place. Apart from the Amy Winehouse wannabe woman, this pub was OK. All of the other staff were very polite to me and my friend, but I wouldn't return there or recommend the place which is a real shame. Edit: Apologies, I meant this about the Oxford Street/Mayfair location of this pub. I haven't been to the Camden location. My mistake.

Honestly this is one of my favourite bars I've been to for a long long time. The interior decor is good, it's nice and cosy with lots of different seating arrangements and the food and drinks are excellent. My only criticism would be that I would've preferred the potatoes with my roast dinner to be a bit crispier. Will definitely pop in again!

We had a lovely Christmas Dinner in this beautiful beautiful place. Our waiter Naps/Nabs? was such a great guy, respondet and interacted like with old friends, and is a Fan of Hongkong too ( Yes, it's me Nabs, your favourite tattooed Christmas customer with his wife). Whatever this guy gets payed: pay him more! The Pub is beautiful arranged, clean and all people around had a great time, the food was fantastic and we will definitely come back to annoy the guys even more 😊

We popped in on a Sunday for a roast and the pub itself is pretty nice! They have games for you to play so it's a nice pub to spend a rainy Sunday afternoon. I had a beef roast and it was okay on the whole! Roasts are so hard to do on a commercial scale because everyone likes it "their way". One of my main criteria is crunchy toasties and sadly they were not like this but the roasted beetroot and carrots were really nice! The beef was well done (again, not my preference but for some people that's great) and the Yorkshires were pretty decent too! On the whole I thought it was good value. Please note, they do not offer anything for vegans on a Sunday afternoon.

The place is quite nice inside & the seats are comfortable but it is usually packed. Great, great, great. Highly recommended, another Camden institution. Has aged well. From it's days as a Britpop boozing bastion, to it's modern reincarnation as a cosy, clasy, pub-grub paradise. Get a pint, a window seat, and watch the passage of Parkway people.

This is usually my pub of choice in Camden, an area that actually suffers for a lack of decent (non hipster, non trendy bar) places to go for a pint. As a Youngs Pub, they serve a lot of great ales on tap, do good food and have a decent outdoor area for drinking in the summer. Just up the road from the Viet Ang Cafe too, so very convenient.
