Visited on a Saturday evening, bar staff were very good! DJ was playing good music, atmosphere was spot on. They show a lot of live sport, have a decent selection of food to choose from. Will be back soon.

Board games!! You can actually play board games here for free!! You just need to ask the staff at the bar and they’ll give you the one you want - me and my friends really enjoyed our visit there and will be back soon to play Uno!!

Had a meeting with a colleague here last week, the team were friendly and gave us the space we needed. Free WiFi, great coffee, and cake! don’t need much more really. Eva took our booking and was really helpful. Handy spot and great value. I’ll be back when next in the area.

Nice clean pub in a great location, Jude is a great barmaid, she served my family and even helped stop our toddler from a tantrum so thanks again Jude. Also the fish n chips was surprisingly really good (I don’t usually eat in pubs) definitely will be returning.

Lovely little pub with plenty of comfortable seating for either catching up with friends or watching sports. It is conveniently situated near the angel underground 🚇 station 🚉 and a bus 🚌 stop The food is nit brilliant but is ok. Love the open mic as well. Love the wide selection of drinks on offer.

Myself and my friends have been going here on and off for a while now and the staff are always friendly and smart loving but recently we went in and there was a young lady (Short) wearing the most inappropriate leggings, even people on the other table we're making rude comments. Then there was Juno who was wearing lovely dress with her work shirt over the top looking very respectable. I really like this pub and I'm only mentioning the leggings because it was the only time we felt uncomfortable due to them not being appropriately and comments made by other people.

Went to the Steam Passage after they reopened, staff very helpful and the prices were fantastic! Under 4 pounds a pint is brilliant, especially for Upper Street. I sat outside as it was a lovely day but they've started allowing people inside and the food was as tasty as I remember. Highly recommended.

A bit pricey just to pop in for a beer, however, they have reasonable valued daily food and drink combos. Bartenders are really helpful. A nice, quiet gem in the heart of Angel area. Restroom brings back the old quality for you :)

Amazing! Went to this place for watch the football match. Havent been in for over 2 years but decided to pop in for a quick pint and a bite to eat whilst catching the 2nd half of the Wales match. I was greeted at the door by a friend girl (found out later her name was Ella), she explained the procedures and promptly got me sat down and a drink in hand 👍 and took my food order. The food was brought out in just 10 minutes and a young guy who called himself Manny , very attentive and ensured I had everything I needed and ensured he checked back to see if everything was good. Ella came and collected my plate as soon as I finished and I got a "goodbye" as I left. Great friendly team and food was good too, will be back.

Perfect place for sports viewing. AND PLAYED BOTH THE RUGBY AND THE FOOTBALL. Fantastic service from the lady with the red hair non stopped always making sure everyone drinks were full with a Giant smile on her face and she was funny too. Big, spacious bar with plenty seating options all around. Was open late till 2am the Friday night in February we visited in Islington. It wasn't too busy or crowded, with quiet alcoves to get chance to chat with friends, don't know about how it's like at other times !

A well-kept pub in a good location. I've been coming here every few months for several years and I think it has improved. It certainly has a better selection of beers. It's a good place to watch sport - there are lots of screens, but they do keep them on all the time, not just when there's a specific event on.

Very average pub. Staff seemed a bit distracted, chatting whilst people waited at the bar, took an age to clean tables. Prices were on the high side even for London. Location was great though. And the quality of the points were good too. So you quickly forgave the other indiscretions.

There was only one member of staff behind the bar when we arrived and she was run off her feet trying to take drinks orders and serve food orders, so my husband had to stand at the bar for around 15 minutes to be served. Once she'd taken our order though, two more members of staff appeared from no where! Anyway, the food was really good, arrived fairly quickly and wasn't too over priced for its location. They offer "pub grub" which was right up our street.

Nice pub especially if you want to watch sports. They have many screens and gladly put on the cricket for us. Nice beers & a mango cider option too when I was there. Try to get the sofa area to sit on, it's much more comfortable.

Standard British pub with standard affordable food and drink. The beef pie was thin, the peas were either overcooked or undercooked (I'm not sure!), the mashed potato lacked flavour and the gravy was very watery. Having said that, the staff were friendly enough and there was plenty of space. It's nothing special but the place has character and is a fair port in a storm.

I was at the bar and I was served by a girl called Maia, she was very friendly and she recommended Rhubarb Gin and it was amazing. I also ordered a fish chips and pea’s and i was served by a really lovely girl named Jude. She made me feel very comfortable and made sure I was happy with my meal. Hit and miss. Sometimes the staff and beer in this pub is great and on other days it is appalling. Used to be much better value a year ago but prices are creeping up and basically once they hit the same as other venues in the high street you may as well go elsewhere. The quality of the beer has good but too many bad days. Starting to give this place a miss these days.

Best parts of this pub are the multiple screens if you want to catch a sporting event. Otherwise everything else is rather uninspiring. Food service was poor a couple of times; I received the food cold, then asked for the dish to be served hot, as it should, and it returned burnt.

The convenience of this area is you can always move on and do a sort of local pub crawl, if you'd like, because there are so many choices on this street. I loved that they have Peroni on tap, something that doesn't seem to be the most common thing in London with the 'craft beer craze' we're living in. They have live music at night and also play matches on the TV, so it's perfect whatever you're into. Prices are average. Easy to reach from Angel Station if you take the Northern line or by bus (several buses on this road). I will definitely come back!

For years this has been a go-to pub in Angel, whatever the occasion (or often when they're is no occasion other than the need for food and/or a pint. It's usually easy to get a seat (if some sporting event isn't on) and it's got outside seating in Upper Street too (great for people watching!). It's nothing fancy, but they handle themselves well. I will keep on returning: food is decent, drinks ok and staff try their best.

Popped in here with my boyfriend and we had such a lovely time. The team were fantastic helping me make my mind up on the gin I wanted and the atmosphere was really buzzy. Clean toilets, nice food and tasty drinks, highly recommend.

Friends and I were at an event in The BDC on Monday and were recommended to visit the Steam Passage. Excellent service, Food & drink selection. I ordered the Cod and Chips which was fantastic ( Cod was bigger than the plate) and a crisp pint of Guinness 👍🏻 I'll definitely be back again.
