Awesome ambiance, love the self order tablet and little train that delivers food 🍣 to your table. Fantastic features for special occasions, a bit pricey but worth it. The booths, tablet orders & 🚆 delivery make it super easy to social distance 😉

A quiet sushi bar that has a quirky serving experience and is above a bar/pub downstairs. Very chilled atmosphere, food was served quickly and generously. The quality was great. Music choice was on point. Service (separate from the food) was immaculate and friendly. Would come here again.

The place is nice and clean. Fantastic fun for family with kids because the food is brought to the table by a funny machine system but that's all. The team is nice and polite but the food is average really ...I actually found it quite bland. Also I ordered 5 product and I have been delivered the wrong one three time..... surely we will not go back. If you want to eat good sushi is not the right place. If you want to go out and have fun with the family and do not mind average food this is the place.

Great sushi or Thai Well presented Cool concept Very quick service - order via a tablet and delivered to your table on what’s supposed to be Japanese bullet train We didn’t have any drinks and bill came to about £50 a couple (pretty normal for nowadays I’d say) My only issue with this place was the waitresses. So if you need to ask question about something on the menu or have any allergens you cannot do this via the tablet so instead you hail the waitress. There were two women there last night both looked so miserable like they didn’t want to be there and when you asked them something you felt like you were inconveniencing them! Someone with allergies would not have appreciated this. A smile and politeness doesn’t cost a penny and it’s such a shame that this inhibited our experience here.

We had a great meal at Sushi Monster. The food was amazingly tasty. The maki, nigiri and sashimi were delicious. The katsu curry chicken was mouth watering. The delivery train was super cool. This is an excellent place for delicious sushi. It's a little tricky to find, you have to walk through the rusty bike pub and walk upstairs to enter the restaurant. It's completely separate from the pub downstairs.

A hidden gem! Secret Japanese restaurant upstairs in the Rusty Bike Pub in Chingford. It’s got a really cool vibe with the graffiti on the walls. You order on an iPad and a robot train delivers the food to your table! Brilliant service and most importantly, the food was delicious! We had sushi, gyozas and prawn and soft shell tempura. Can’t wait to come back again

Being someone who's had proper experience in Japanese eateries as well as rural Japanese restaurants, I have to say Sushi Monster was great. Luckily I dined at a very odd time so I could have a gander round and enjoy the ambiance without much distraction. The food was stellar, having a smaller meal I still felt satisfied. Tastes were rather authentic and the service and train was prompt. Having been to the Rusty bike many times, as seen by my previous reviews, I felt cheeky and decided its time to taste. Would fully recommend to any new or experienced sushi lovers as well as thai lovers.

First visit and we were very happy. Really good food, fresh, tasty and good portions. Service was really good. Comfortable and good decor. Lots of booth seatings, good for small and large groups. We eat a lot of Japanese and sushi food and this place is really good, especially for a local restaurant 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾 We've since been ordering takeaway due to lockdown and needed to update this to say the takeaway quality is very good. Some dishes would be better in restaurant but takeaway is good. We've been very happy to be able to enjoy Japanese food at home :-)

Often the sushi is very good quality and sliced thick enough so you can actually taste the fish. A lot better than some of the more well established chains.

Excellent quality sushi in a really great looking restaurant. Also every table has its own booth, which makes it an excellent choice when we are all trying to social distance. Also the service on the train and ordering through a tablet make it quirky and fun for the kids. I will definitely be back.

I have been eating sushi all my life around the world as I am from an oriental background. In London there are many good sushi places but I have to say this is one of the best! Yes believe it or not in chingford! Of all places! The quality is as fresh as you could expect and the menu and delivery by electronic boat as it zips around the restaurant to your table are something to behold.

(Translated) Very good food. Everything looks very tasty. We chose with friends for dinner and chose sushi. I took Monster Rollsy and my wife got Spider Rollsy. Both things were heaven in my mouth. 12/10. I would definitely recommend this place. For this we chose small beers. Atlantic Pale Ale and Guinness. Everything blended perfectly with each other. (Original) Bardzo dobre jedzenie. Wszystko wygląda bardzo apetycznie. Wybraliśmy ze znajomymi na kolację i wybraliśmy sushi. Ja wziąłem Monster Rollsy a żona Spider Rollsy. Obie rzeczy to było niebo w gębie. 12/10. Napewno bym polecił to miejsce. Do tego dobraliśmy sobie małe piwa. Atlantic Pale Ale i Guinnesa. Wszystko wybornie się ze sobą komponowało.
