Friendly and helpful staff (apologies if I got the names wrong, Sam and Alex?) Reasonably priced , quality food for central London.
There are more options for ipa drinkers but lots of the standard drinks available as well if you're worried about not finding something within the craft options.

Nice bar with lots of good beers, more bar then pub.
D. T.
A delightful little bit of Industrial shabby chic. All in a basement bar doing a bit of their own brewing as well! Great range of beers from all over London (and the rest of the world). Lovely food and great staff to look after you. Well worth a visit

So happy this place is back open. Had a great night. Super burger and beer combo on Tuesday nights.
R. B. J.
Very Nice place and very good atmosphere.
Lots of beers besides the on-site brews.
Here at not so busy hours for a Quick pint. Many tables are already reserved, but did find someplace to sit.
P. W.
Great little place in Central London. The beer and burger deal on Mondays is amazing value, and they have a great range of beers to try in well priced tasting racks.
S. C.
Excellent beer selection on tap and nice bar. Shows footy on TV which is a bonus. Bar is downstairs and service friendly. Not had the food so can't comment but menu is decent.
J. H.
When we came to the bar we said this is strange place. But after moment you change opinion. Temple Brew House have friendly atmosphere, you feel very good. Enormous choices of very good beers.
B. M.
Bar tenders are knowledgeable and can help suggest a beer to try for your specific taste. If you're having a hard time deciding what to eat, get the brisket cheese fries, they're filling and delicious. You won't be disappointed!

Stumbled across this place and was pleasantly surprised. Very good beer selection. Food looked good but I had already eaten. I will be back on my next trip to London.
G. B.
Amazing beer, friendly staff and excellent location. (:

Great selection of beer and good food selection. Decor is shabby chic with a good mix of small tables, group areas and booths. I've made multiple reservations here and they've never made mistakes and have always been helpful. Bar staff have always been cheerful and knew their beers. The few times I met the resident brewer were great - she was friendly and happy to talk about her craft :-)
U. A.
Great bar with a wide selection of beers! Super friendly service from staff! Looking forward to returning.
P. S.
Odd (off) smell to the place when you first walk in. Beer and service were good enough
S. C.
One of the best craft beer pubs in the city. Been here many many times. It's a got a really good after work atmosphere and good burgers and American style food. A vast rotating selection of beers and they also brew their own. There's a decent wine bar attached upstairs too if you need a change of scenery. 2 minutes walk to Temple station. It's a funky place and definitely worth a visit
G. D.
Lovely house beer.
Delightful staff. Lovely atmosphere.
Great selection and a good menu that kills!
C. H.
It's a neat place to hang out. As always, they did not disappoint. Aside from their usual, they offered some new brews. This place is awesome! This is a fun place to meet friends and make new ones. The beer is the best in London. Everything on the menu is delicious. 5 stars.
K. W.
This place is decent. Has a wide selection of beers and a couple of ciders - which tasted good! Good atmosphere, not crazy busy if you get there early enough and good quick service at the bar. We were going to eat here, as we have before, but we are pretty sure a large mouse or rat ran across the floor - which put us off from having any food. Not 100% sure but given the location it wouldn't surprise me. Still happy to drink there but we decided food elsewhere.
J. P.
Great bar, not the best selection of “craft beers” nothing I’ve not seen before.
Great atmosphere, and decor.
Also shows live sports which was nice touch for this kind of bar.
Will have to try some if the food on my next visit.
E. S.
A proper London pup, but without grumpy staff! A great selection of craft beers, which the staff are happy to offer you samples of. There is a friendly vibe, large servings of tasty food and a Monday evening German language practice session at one table, open to all.
J.
This is a basement bar, with a shabby chic decor, that is probably one of the best craft beer establishments in London. It's only spoiled by sport on a big screen, that doesn't really help you have conversations with friends.
The bar is open late, so you can avoid the sport that way, and enjoy their wide selection of beers and ales.
A. M.
I like this place for my mood today. Looking for a quiet spot to get comfort food at 5:30 on a rainy Sunday. This place did the trick.
Great range of beers. The IPA from Essex was very good. Fish and chips done very well. Nice to get chips that taste like they have been double or triple come. The heat in the tartar sauce is a nice touch.
E. T.
Meals and beer are very good. The athmosphere too.
D.
Went here last night for drinks and to watch the rugby. This is definitely somewhere you need to book in advance as it gets very busy, very quickly. Great selection of beers and the loaded chips were decent. I did have the taco basket which was pretty poor if I'm honest. It was incredibly dry with only a little bit of guacamole and considering how big the loaded chips were at £4.50, the taco basket was a bit of a rip off at £11.
I would go back if i was nearby, but i don't think i'll go out my way to come back. Friendly staff.
Q. C.
A brewery on the Strand! How cool is that? A great selection of ales and beer. You will have more than 5 brewing on the spot and more than 10 guest beer to choose from. Great pub food and super friendly staff. With this location, I can now bring my friends to this cool Brew House when touring around City's attractions!

We booked a get-together for 20 people last Saturday at Temple Brew house and we had an amazing time! The Temple Brew House staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. They reserved two tables for our group and it was the perfect environment, intimate yet social and of course great beer and food! I would recommend this place to anyone, whether it's for a party or casual drink, this place is fantastic! Great music, food, beer, and friendly staff, one of my favourite spots in London!
L. O.
Good choice of ales including several brewed on the premises. It has a bit of a bierkeller feel to it and the food is lovely, if a little pricey. Unfortunately very noisy so difficult to have a conversation without shouting but fun none-the-less. Bar staff are very friendly and helpful.
M. P.
We just held our work Christmas Do here and we all had a fabulous time. The process leading up to the meal was very easy, with TBH being very accommodating. After choosing to go with the Christmas Set Menu rather than the buffet meal, we were all pretty happy. The food was delicious and it helped that it was all at a reasonable price - particularly good for London! It was also very helpful that the staff gave each member of our party a card that listed their order as well (as it's almost guaranteed that no one remembers what they ordered at least a few weeks beforehand) and they brilliantly referred to everyone's food order that was coming out with the individual's name rather than just shouting out the meal that they were carrying out from the kitchen. From the outset, it was pretty simple to set up a separate bar and meal tab, and they were also happy to put a limit on the tab if we wanted to or to give us a heads up when we were getting close to a certain figure to avoid being left in a sticky situation at the end! I'm pretty sure everyone enjoyed the interesting selection of beers/ales that they had on offer, and several of us enjoyed the tasting paddle that you can get to see what takes your fancy. The other thing to note was that they had no problems with us staying around at the venue for a considerable time after finishing the food, despite it being a Saturday and us taking up quite a large table in what is a fairly small space. Also, there were no problems with getting table orders for drinks if that's what we wanted, and it certainly felt like a personal experience rather than us being just another group of people to get in and out of the door. Although admittedly we were glad that we triple checked the bill before paying, as they had forgotten to take off the deposit that we'd already paid for the food, but there were no problems getting that sorted out. I'd definitely go again if I'm back in the area, and I'd recommend anyone to pop in if they're nearby - whether that's for food or just for a drink!
J. G.
Great beer selection, lots of pub games, nice vibe and the beer wheel is always fun. Not such a fan of kegs being all over the place especially by the loos, and quite disappointed by my burger which came out thin and burnt with a lot of scraps of fries - I assume home made. Will try again.
n. p.
This is easily one of the best bars in the area and has an awesome line-up of keg and cask beers. It's a microbrewery and with all the kit seemingly stacked over the two floors you are genuinely drinking in the heart of a brewery. The house beer (a pale ale) is delicious.
J. V.
Nice vibe, good selection of beers including gluten free ones on tap and Amstel, Heineken amongst their own brews and local beers. Food is not that great though.
A. M.
I can't recommend this pub more highly! My fiance and I had our engagement drinks here because he's obsessed with craft beer and we had the best time! The management is spot on, the bar staff and waiters are brilliant. I can't wait to go back.
R. A.
A brilliant selection of keg, Draught and bottle beer than changes regularly - they also brew their own beers here too - which you see as you walk down the stairs into the bar area. The food is also great, and the staff are friendly. Although, as with all good places, it can get busy in the evenings!
P. B.
The underground bar is the main area, where it extends out to many little booths and trestle tables.
On a thursday night it was very busy, but service was good, never waiting too long at the bar and we were still able to find enough space to stand and chat relatively comfortably.
The range of beers is great and well worth stepping out of your comfort zone to try something new.
D. D.
If your looking for a beer with high ABV then this is the place. They have a wide selection of beers. From low abv to high, fruity to tart, porters and stouts. The bar grub was not bad. Had the loaded fries with bacon, it hit the spot. The main complaint is the seating. Dunno why they have every table reserved then have no one show. Whatever! Sat at a table for two with a party of 5. After a few dubbel’s & dipa’s we didn’t care.
F. S.
Although personally I don't have many comparisons in London, here definitely is one of the best burger I've ever eaten! Super interesting place, absolutely recommended.
J. R.
Lovely little hide out. Amazing beer selection. Great service. The bartender Callum looked after us very well. Great burgers, great atmosphere. An absolute gem. Highly recommended.
C. S.
Great new pub with a fantastic selection of ales - unfortunately didn't have time to sample them all but will have to be back!
The on site micro brewery (they brew their own beer!) in a brilliant addition and the food was delicious too. A must try!
J. B.
We had the tour which was fab. I had arranged it for my brother's birthday and they couldn't have been more welcoming, even naming a beer after him for the day with a special pump clip. Beers are great and there is something for everyone.
S. K.
Great beer selection. The food was great according to everyone I was with, but the vegetarian options aren't many or really flavorful. Service could have been a but better considering how slow they were.
g. r.
Fantastic selection of their own real ales, including a smoked one. Nice pub with interesting furnishings. Great staff. They didn't have the bread I wanted so they offered me a free pint!
P. J.
Decor and branding is of a knowledgable craft beer pub/bar... But the staff don't seem to know their beer and often the pint is served at the wrong temperature or just isn't a good pint. They layout and decor is good, shame the beer isn't up to scratch...yet.
D. H.
Bit confused about the Essex Street Brewery/Temple Brew House name, but the local beers we had there were very good, the food was nice and the afternoon ambiance friendly, being full of LSE students. Worth a visit despite one or two previous comments.
M. A.
Amazing variety of draught beers or bottled beers many from their own brand or from local London craft brewers. Fish finger sandwich was real nice too. Easy to find in a central location. Staff knowlegeable.
L. H.
Great pub with its own brewery which is visible from the bar. Good selection of beers.

Ahh the light of the morn, and the wistful ponderings it brings with it:
In the evening I believed I was breezily ascending Everest, how can it be, that I now find myself at the bottom of the Mariana Trench.
There are some questions, for which the pursuit of an answer is an exercise in futility. However, the question ‘does Temple Brew House have a good beer selection?’ does not rank among them. The answer to that question is without any doubt yes.
A handsome range of bottled and draught, craft has found a fine outlet in the legal district. Leave the Strand and Fleet Street’s frontages as thoroughfare distractions for the tourists. Yet a mere eye glance from the well trod path and you’ll find yourself descending into the subterranean.
Typical trappings, paraphernalia, nick nacks, bric-a-brac, you know, all that stuff. Crucially though, the table surfaces are of sturdy enough constitution that you might slam down your drained pint glass with zeal, whilst invariably returning to the bar. By no means is this your late grandmother’s furniture, stacked up in your parents’ garage.
This all makes for a fine atmosphere, and as you return, for round two, three, four etc. you’ll be dealt with at pace. If I were to guess, I’d say these bar peoples to be students of the local King’s. Good on ‘em.
This place appears to be a haunt. And as a Jonny-come-lately, it is only with brazen conjecture that I might guess at the length of its standing... or I could look on the internet. But I won’t, because it doesn’t matter to me, nor to my comrades of a Friday.
Whilst this lot continue to trot out cool beer from an expansive menu, my custom will be sealed. In both reality, and the light of the following morning, that’s what matters.
M. P.
Good grub. A wide selection of decent beers, including some they brew in-house. Friendly and knowledgeable staff.
L. A.
Great craft beer pub with strong selection of local and international beers, funky decor, and good music. Service is a bit average but food is good (kangaroo burgers on Australia Day!). Try the beers from their own on-site micro brewery, Essex Street Brewery.
M. H.
A very good beer place with a fun brewery tour that is not so much a tour but the master brewer that explains how she brews beer.
The food is well made and very tasty. I recommend you going here
J. A. B.
Massive selection of beers served by people who care about the product.
Monday's Beer and Burger deal is great. Usually at least three beers on that are brewed on site. Heartily recommend
P. A.
Cool spot, good beers from the microbrewery upstairs. Smells like whatever they are brewing, good or bad. Interesting beers from all over on tap. Not Wetherspoons food here; looks like it might actually be prepared and cooked in a kitchen.
J. S.
went for lunch - ordered the chicken burger and the steak stack burger.
had a stout each before food - whilst the beer was ace, probably not the best choice before the meal and that perhaps tainted the food experience. The chicken burger was ok - the fillet was on the small side. Beetrot tzatziki was slightly not right. Service was great though.
Maybe need to try agin, but this time - 3 stars.
C. F.
Great new pub near the Temple tube station. Awesome selection of craft ales and micro-brewery beers. Gastropub style food - try the scotch duck egg with tomato and onion relish, Mac n cheese with maple bacon, or lemon and thyme chicken burger, halloumi & beetroot tzatziki.
K. A.
Great beer selection with in the house brewery! Quite small and quaint and very knowledgeable staff. Well about beers anyway.
M. D.
Great beer selection and excellent service. Very knowledgeable and gave you time and care to pick a fantastic beer. Would very much recommend.
S. D.
Fun venue with lots of beers and pretty good pub food. The one downside is you can only open a tab through some app, but I won't dock them because they are very safety conscious.
A. P.
Very good food, selection of beers and ales. Friendly staff. Only thing I didn’t care for was the smell - a bit damp, mouldy but could have been because of the weather.
J. C.
Nice pub with great selection of beers. Nice to have something different in a part of town which has a bunch of, whilst lovely, very samey old-fashioned boozers.

N. K.
Amazingly popular with quality craft beers on tap. What a selection with the staff knowledgeable and the brewer on site!

Great food and an even greater selection beers and ciders make this a slam dunk for me. An amazing place, especially given its location opposite the Royal Courts of Justice.
C. G.

Beer excellent but I am not sure on the shabby chic decor. Need to do a risk assessment on some of the steps. ie mark them so people don't trip over

Expensive. Nice atmosphere and location but several of the ales I tried from the tap were not that good, so I went with a standard bottled IPA.
