There is a huge variety of drinks to choose from! The cocktails are also separated neatly in the menu depending on what spirit you looking for - whether you are a vodka, rum, gin or tequila type of person, there is something for you that you would enjoy.
Loved the happy hour and sexy neon, making it ideal for a date. Aesthetically pleasing drinks with a sweet and smooth taste for a perfect night.

S. J.I really like it here, overall. The staff are excellent; the drinks are delicious; the atmosphere is pleasant; the location is brilliant; and, the decor and furnishings are fine. My only suggestion would be to play less mainstream pop music - and to play said music a bit quieter. It was so loud, it was quite disorientating. Both my friend and I agreed on that. I understand the concept of dizzyingly deafening sounds on a Friday or Saturday night, but I feel that other nights should be at least somewhat more relaxing. Thanks.

The dj is very inclusive playing a bit of everything, every night is a different vibe. E. L. G.A fixture on the Putney drinks scene for some time, Tequila Mockingbird has recently spread its’ wings to Clapham where a second branch as recently opened. We popped into their original bar in Putney, just a short walk from the rail station by the river to try some of their concoctions.
Tequila Mockingbird do all the classics, with lots of their own creative concoctions. With happy hour on from 5-9 pm DAILY (yes!) it would be rude to not pop in and try something a little different. We started with the bartenders own creation Almond Stag (£8.50) with jager, amaretto, passion fruit puree and a drizzle of Shiraz. It was a little sweeter than we thought but the warmth of amaretto balanced it nicely and it was great to try and unusual ingredient combo!
We moved on to the Bakewell (£9) which was almondy sweet as promised by the name. It had a serious hint of the famous cake to it, very satisfying. The watermelon cooler (£9) seemed a good choice with the perfect weather we have been having. It tasted a little more alcoholic than I expected which I liked! We have all had fruity cocktails that are all sugar and no substance but this held back from an overpowering watermelon flavour. It was a slow and satisfying drink.
The margarita menu offers a range of specials alongside their classic margarita. We tried the mango & chilli margarita (£9) a gorgeous sunset colour and a chilli red rim made for a pretty little drink. The chilli rim is no joke, it is a little fiery and the cocktail itself has a definite heat and kick from that chilli! The sweetness of the mango offset the heat so well and we enjoyed this little number.
Last up for us was the Tequila Mockingbird take on the bar favourite, the zombie. Called the Mockingbird Punch it is their most expensive cocktail but still a reasonable £10. It is a secret recipe with several types of alcohol being thrown in as I watched the bartenders set it alight. They clearly enjoy their job and adding some theatre to your orders! This was definitely a strong drink but actually much more drinkable than other zombies I have had in other bars. We loved the flaming passion fruit – perfect to shot if you are feeling brave (blow it out first!) or just mix in and enjoy.
Tequila Mockingbird bar in Putney offers a happy hour that is hard to rival. With 3 floors it has plenty of space to sit and catch up with friends and there is a downstairs basement for dancing later. The neon lights and dark corners make for an atmospheric space on the main floor or pop upstairs for a bigger, lighter space and comfy leather sofas. The location is great, right on the river and the Clapham branch is nice and central too. We loved popping in and would recommend it for reasonably priced cocktails, a great happy hour and DJ & weekend dancing!

Arrived to a small table which wouldn’t fit our whole party, the staff responded to us requesting a bigger area without hesitation and gave us all a free drink for our troubles which was very generous. All the staff are incredibly friendly and couldn’t help enough. Door staff very professional. Highly recommend, great night, great music! Very fun.

However, the tables were unstable and not level - due to this the drinks were sliding off and smashing on the floor (also occurred on a previous occasion). Upon questionning the manager regarding this matter he was dismissive and patronising. Eventually he did replace the drinks but his attitude towards the issue dampened the night. Overall, other than this - the staff were friendly and we enjoyed ourselves.

K. S.Nice atmosphere and music, however when areas are booked that you are sitting on - not that is says reserved anywhere - the bouncers will just throw your bags at you rather than explain you simply need to move as it is reserved. Shame as otherwise the staff are nice and had a good time.

We came on a Wednesday as it said open until 2am, but the bar closed at 11.30 which was a shame as we wanted to have our Christmas knees up. We have nothing against the bar, but the '''marketing team" just need to adjust the timings online so that people aren't mislead. Otherwise great bar, great staff, great drinks
E. N.I booked a group area for 16 people. On arrival people were sitting in the area and staff were not helpful at all and said the people will move in 15 minutes (15 minutes after my booking started). 15 minutes later I still didn’t have my area and I had to go over and ask the people in my area to leave so that my friends could sit down. The whole night people were pushing into my area leaving coats and bags around whilst we were trying to sit in the area, causing a lot of tension. There was no management/ organisation of the area. The bar staff and dj were very good. The cocktails were also very good. Just needs organisation of areas and more control over drugs as I did not enjoy seeing multiple people taking a range of drugs openly on the dance floor.
M. I.Good place but smells like mould upstairs. Drinks were fine, missus enjoyed them, whiskey and scotch selection was good, All was fine apart from the fact it's a rather new place but smells like it's growing it's own life between the wood floors and walls.

The music is modern or rock hits, they have dj for the weekend when is usually crowed that's why we prefer to avoid Friday's/Saturday's night. Friendly service.
