A very nice place to enjoy an evening out. The service is very good and the food is alright. The cocktails are amazing and the presentation is wonderful. Such a lovely experience and atmosphere. The only thing is that the music was a bit too loud, making it hard to speak even to the person next to you. I would definitely go again though!

Very pleased with this venue. Polite and unaggressive bouncers coordinated groups well at the door. There was reasonable about of space between tables and radiators under each one. Drinks list was so beautiful and great selection. Love the whole alchemy theme and presentation of the drinks. Later evening had a DJ playing inside and very good friendly vibe. Drinks were good. Fresh ingredients and good quality. Reasonably priced too!

Great full on experience! Cocktails are good, food was absolutely lovely. Would recommend restaurant will be trying the bar on my next visit. Full works for a lovely night £170.00. Definitely not my usual but really enjoyed the experience, well done to the staff and management.

Choose this branch for special occasions or a date night. As this is probably the nicest looking of all the Alchemist venues in London. They're in a good location too. Right next to the train station. You have options to book tables for dinner. Dessert and cocktails or just drinks. Alchemist has one of the longest cocktail menus I've seen! With really unique drink combinations that look just as impressive. Good variety of food options. Suitable for vegetarian and meat eaters. The plant beef burger was delicious and they do a really good sticky toffee pudding. Definitely going back.

Drinks were amazing. A really busy and vibrant atmosphere but the biggest letdown was the staff. Wasnt welcoming or helpful at all. Certainly didn't feel I was treated with great customer service. Very mediocre. This was my first experience in the bar section on the ground floor. Hopefully next time is better. Upstairs in the restaurant/bar was much better thus far.

DJ was great. Bar staff looked like they were enjoying their job which adds to the customer experience. Vibes were great and we managed to find a table despite it being a busy Friday night. There was a decent choice of low/non-alcoholic drinks: ‘Bubblygum’ was nice but their wasn’t much of it. The bubbles part was fun. ‘Dark fruits’ was what my friend ordered and it tasted a little syrupy and couldn’t finish it all.

Quirky drinks, night full of fun - something different - ideal for the special occasion! The starters are quite delicious and full of flavour, except edamame - overdone and too soft, not enough salt and missing lemon. FRENCH DIP STEAK SANDWICH has been a massive disappointment as on the menu says is made from fillet steak but when we’ve asked we’ve been told that they are using a fillet tail…massive difference. MISO GLAZED SALMON has been overdone as well, too dry. The dessert was the best - COTTON CANDY BAKED ALASKA - full of flavour, not too sweet, perfect palate cleanser!

Wow, wow, wow - best cocktail restaurant in town. Food is also exceptional and complimented with great service from start to finish. I love the Invisible chips, £4.00 donated to charity with every portion purchased. Lots of other charitable giving options too on the menu and a good selection of vegan options. As we were celebrating a birthday, we were offered a free pudding or a free cocktail which was very unexpected and a very nice touch. We'll be back.

Bottomless Brunch - Great Service and lovely atmosphere. The food was good; however there is slight room for improvement. We had the chicken and waffles (amazing) and the salt beef bagel. The beef was cooked perfectly and the ingredients were very nice; however the bagel was either lightly heated or microwaved (as seen in the attached image). My feedback on this aspect would be to simply lightly toast the bagel as to not get the rubbery / sponge feel. The drinks were fine in that they were tasty and not overly watered down; however the lack of variety is something that could be improved. Overall, I would recommend a visit as it is decent value and the staff are very courteous and attentive.

We had a great time at the Canary wharf branch of the Alchemist. It is located just outside the Canary wharf tube station. It is a quite large building with fine high ceilings and floor to ceiling windows. They have a large outdoor seating and dining area as well as two floors of indoor dining and bars The staff were very friendly and helpful and although we did not have a reservation we were seated in the upstairs bar area fairly quickly. They had a DJ playing and he was excellent playing a selection of Dance tracks reminiscent of Ibiza. We enjoyed a large number of the various cocktails. Special mention for the staff serving the Mad Hatter's Tea Party Cocktail which is quite.a performance. Other cocktails we enjoyed included the Lethal One, Rum Punch and the Zombies. We had a great time and the ambiance was very good. We shall certainly be going back with.other friends to work our way through the Cocktail Menu. A great place for a date night, drink with friends, Hen Night etc.

i came to the alchemist today with my family for the 3rd time and what a fantastic experience it was! the food was outstanding, tasteful, seasoned perfectly and packed full of flavour. the drinks, all unique in every way, had tonnes of flavour, amazing presentation and an artistic twist to it, smoke or bubbles in the drink! the menu is perfect, amazing selection to choose from. the staff were amazing, very kind and friendly and helpful. overall, an amazing time! would 100% recommend to anyone looking for an outstanding place to eat :)

Went in for drinks with friends and ended up grabbing some grub. The plates were really tasty and the service was brilliant. The staff is actually why anyone would go in at first. Beautiful, fashionably dressed (approachable), very friendly but still professional at the same time 💚👌🏽. Recommend this place for after work drinks. The upstairs (restaurant) looks out to Reuters Plaza and good to people watch lol. Also, the smoking area is on the deck and not far from your table. The outdoor part is fun too. Has its own beer on tap plus the cocktails 🍸🍹are something to spoil yourself with.

To be honest, I didn’t stay here for very long. We had an amazing cocktail but we were in a rush to go else where. But the cocktail I had was the legal bong. Apart from difficult to drink, the way it was presented to us was amazing! And it tasted really good. It wasn’t too strong of alcohol and so it was perfect for me. Staff were friendly and quick to respond. I definitely want to come back again.

The setting was really cool, they have indoor, semi-indoor-outdoor area, and a fully outdoor area too down the stairs. The view to the river and Canary wharf tall buildings is amazing and the food is above average too, better than we expected. The variety of cocktails is pretty large, and the names are quite catchy and interesting combinations too.

So, the place is definitely picturesque, and the drinks are definitely up to the name, being served in lab equipment and being appropriately fizzy and elaborate, if not downright choreographic. The food is good. The brunch offer is debatable, however, probably meant for alcoholics, as 3 drinks one serving at £30 is certainly convenient, but some variation more towards equilibrium would be nice.

Was quite nice! We hoped to 'walk in' to their restaurant on a Saturday evening, but I guess that is a rare opportunity. We were placed at a table in their bar area. We had some nibbles and drinks which were great and very aesthetically pleasing. Would recommend but maybe not a Saturday night! Also they're currently operating table service and the staff were really friendly and we didn't have to call them over much.

Stopped by for a few birthday drinks last night and was told by security there were no seats outside when I could clearly see there were at least 3 that were empty and just needed cleaning so I asked to speak to someone else who was more helpful and cleared a table for us, I noticed one of the security guys roll his eyes to the other guy while we were waiting, we could also hear the security talking about wanting the time to hurry up and pass as they weren’t loving it etc etc, they started laughing and staring at me and my friend so we felt a bit uncomfortable and turned away. As I really wanted to try some of the cocktails we stayed. Ordered 6-7 cocktails with one or two of them being slightly over smoked/smoky but the others were really delicious, bit disappointing we only got a little bit of theatre as one of the cocktails was slightly lacking in the smoke effect but we enjoyed the few we liked and just think the outdoor seating area could be a bit more cleaner and a bit more inviting and the security need to be more professional and not so alienating. All in all enjoyed most of the cocktails, they looks fabulous and it’s a lovely venue

I had the best experience ever! I will definitely come back again. Most of the staff was so nice and helpful. The price of the cocktails is average but they are AMAZING,so is the whole experience. The only ‘’bad’’ thing I could possibly think about was that they were taking too long to come and ask you for drinks but not too bad as you can just enjoy and have a chat while waiting.

Tried it out in a team drink, dry ice smoking drink was interesting. Later on we went again to try out the brunch as well as the dinner. One of my favourite restaurants, i'm a huge fan of its Bevis Marks branch near Liverpool Street. But the Canary Wharf branch is equally as charming with lovely decor and a welcoming and friendly team. You don't quite get the same theatrical drama with the fancy cocktails in this one as you do in Bevis Marks but its still lovely and the food is still as good. Really really love the Alchemist. Always a good night out.

Really nice place, chose this one over other locations and this area is quieter on a weekend. Came here for a surprise birthday party and the service was good and the cocktails are very well presented and taste so good that you can not taste the alcohol, this is the mark of a good cocktail. I think the pricing is fair for what you get, it was really important to me on this special occasion to be in nice surroundings and have a great service and we were not disappointed at all. Unfortunately I did not eat as we came from another restaurant but I will definitely come back again and next time i'll try the food too.

I'd almost given up my search for the best hot choc in London and then I had a sip of the one here, in one word: decadent. I didn't even order it, I got an oat milk mocha which also blew my mind; I wasn't expecting the perfect amount of chocolateyness without the sugaryness to complement the coffee. Our brunch meal was also wonderful and the coconut yoghurt granola was a treat for the taste buds. To top it off our waitress was lovely, personable, knowledgeable and prompt. I booked with the January 50% off food offer but even without it its was good value for money at less than £40 for the two of us (no alcohol). I'd definitely go back and try the all day menu.

The cocktails are also yummy If you are in to tequila do try the mango-chilli one! There is a orange cocktail, unfortunately I dont the name but it smells divine so try that. I went on Friday night when the heavens opened 😢 I didn't have to wait long to be seated as I had booked ahead over the phone, as booking through the website so reservations were available. Hostess was friendly & the security guard was very charming lol. After being seated within minutes a server came over to ask to take my drinks order, wasn't sure what I wanted so he waited. Drinks came promptly & food was served shortly after which was lovely-chips slightly over salted but they tasted great otherwise. The cocktails were insanely good here, which is what they're known for. Much better than The Alchemist in the City (I think the bartenders have just given up there!). The food was decent enough but sadly one of our dishes never came despite it being added to our bill (and then removed of course). Will definitely be coming back for drinks! Nice and accessible if you live in the area or are just visiting (near both the jubilee line and DLR stations).

Great atmosphere, a tad cold out on the terrace but there are blankets to help with that. You'll have to keep your jacket and scarf on and cannot be out there for longer than an hour without your fingers freezing on you. Otherwise, great and speedy service even during busy hours; absolutely friendly and welcoming staff. Although I wasn't too pleased with one of the cocktails, I was offered a free adjustment to the flavour with a guaranteed free cocktail had I not liked the adjustment made. This is what brings people back, God is in the detail. Without further ado - I ordered the following cocktails: The Caviar One - Ginger Gin & Prosecco. Rhubarb is quite the acquired taste, I suggest you familiarise yourself with the sour tart taste beforehand, or ask for a dash of orange/grapefruit juice in there. A dash of orange juice should save you on this one. Hipflask Colada - probably one of the best Coladas I've had so far. Perfect choice of rums, especially the Jamaican coconut & pineapple rum to provide the perfect balance of flavour considering there were no fresh ingredients, this was quite the recipe. Dead Red Zombie - You can immediately recognise the superiority of this cocktail. Fresh ingredients truly are the crux of a perfect cocktail (cranberry & lime). Excellent choice of Bacardi carta blanca paired with the citrus/pear/pineapple spicy notes of the Jamaican rum, and a delightful orange cognac surprise that brought this so close to perfection. Now to decide which was best, it's between the Colada & the Zombie. You can obviously tell from that description that the Dead Red Zombie wins this one.

Absolutely fantastic place. The best cocktail bar chain in London with some seriously quirky creations. The food is uniformly excellent and the Smoky Old Fashioned is to die for. I never have less than 5 on a visit. Everything is reasonably priced and there is no obnoxious arrogance here. Service is for the most part attentive without being intrusive. Love it.

Booked online two weeks in advance for a Sunday afternoon. Was sat on the upstairs terrace area. Quick and friendly service. Nice atmosphere with a DJ playing a variety of chilled music. The 'theatre' of the cocktails displays did not disappoint! Would recommend visiting!

I went in the afternoon for just a couple of drinks. It wasn't too busy, which is good because there's not a lot of room in the bar area. I had a couple of drinks: a smoky old fashioned and 3.5 ounces of happiness. I was a little disappointed because both were basically premade. They smoked the old fashioned when I ordered it, which was cool. And the flavor was very nice. The 3.5 comes in a mini flask (which you get to keep!) so the only thing the bartender had to prepare was the ice and garnish. The drinks were both very good! And I got to watch them mix and prepare some really fun-looking beverages. I will go back, but I'll definitely stick to the slower hours. Also, I saw one patron with a dog inside, so I assume they're dog-friendly!

Came here post lockdown for a catch up with a good friend. We pre booked and our table was ready when we arrived. There was at least a table between groups so good social distancing. We had really tasty nibbles (I recommend the calamari) and some good cocktails. The spiced rum punch was very theatrical and tasted amazing. We stayed longer than we had booked and they needed the table, but the waiter just kindly moved us onto the terrace which was a lovely spot anyway.

I like the look and feel of The Alchemist, bringing a bit of theatre to the experience of enjoying a cocktail. However, for my taste the cocktails were very sweet - both the Smoky Old Fashioned and even the so-called Bitter Cherry were far too sweet. I also wouldn't say that it was very expensive - both cocktails I had came in at just under a tenner each, which is perhaps why they weren't as good as I'd hoped. It's a shame. But given the crowds on a Tuesday evening there are clearly many people who love the place - and the service was friendly. Perhaps best to try it for yourself and make up your own mind.

Lovely Bar. The young Scottish lady at the door told my husband and I that the only seats available were either outside with no heater or inside by the toilet, which was confusing as it was quiet and when we asked again we were given a lovely table upstairs. The rest of the staff were very kind and polite though!

Very nice and stylish place, I've really enjoyed being there. I had a cheesburger with fries and both were great. The drinks are exotic, original and visually pleasing which makes up for the low amount of alcol they put in them. The staff is friendly, quick and welcoming, big up for them! Toilets also quite clean (been there on a friday night, definitely above average). Great experience, it REALLY deserves a visit and it's the go to place if you want to impress somebody.

Wow, what a place. We booked a 7pm table for a Sunday. Managed to get a great window bench seat. The drinks and theatre that comes with it was exceptional and the service that came with it was 10/10. The food was fantastic. My only complaint would the mains arriving whilst we were eating starters but rather quicker than delayed. Our server Samuelle was fantastic.

We had a really nice meal here tonight. It was a Friday night and valentine's Day so we were expecting it to be busy and slow service but it wasn't at all. The food was really delicious (the many vegetarian options were great), the drinks were not just fun but also tasty. You could tell the menus had been well thought out. The restaurant has great decor, definitely somewhere nice to take a date. Service was good! The menu items are simple, I ordered Chicken in a Basket, and have to say I'm pretty disappointed as the chicken was incredibly dry. While the presentation was interesting, it was awkward to eat in an actual basket. chips were good, and also a little awkward to eat corn on the cob without looking messy in what feels like a fancy restaurant (would recommend they rethink the corn).
