Reviews of The Barrowboy & Banker, SE1
I. H.
Great bar staff and service, awesome selection of fullers beers in bottles and on tap as well as good selection of craft, lager, wine and spirits. Food as good and as high a standard as fullers usually is.
The pie tasting board is always a good place to start if trying out the food here, each mini pie served with a third of a pint of fullers ale.
Toilets clean, social distancing in place and tables disinfected between customers. Between Borough Market and London Bridge Station I would recommend even just for a stop off.
M.
Have to been to more pubs in and around London that most but this one is top tier, the lager is always exceptional. Absolutely great atmosphere and the staff are so friendly and welcoming! Food is magnificent and such a good location being on London Bridge Station doorstep
A. B.
Lovely pub with seating on two floors and a dedicated dinning area. Good place to come for a pint after work on a Thursday, as it’s not the busiest
D. “. H.
English pud as you would expect. Food was average and the IPA I had was great. Great for drinks maybe not so much for a sit down meal.
M. W.
Decent pub and you can't get any more central. Paid £7.05 for a pint of Brixton Pale Ale, that was a kicker, it's brewed down the road, crazy prices
L. H.
Very nice space. The tables were a bit too close together for my liking and the staff were not in masks. Good kids menu and options. The food was good but the service was very slow, do not go if you are in a rush. It's a nice option if you are in the area.
P. C.
Better book for lunch on Sunday. I like their drink and their pies. This time i also tried their humus.
F. ..
Good beer, good service, plant based nachos are lovely. Nice pub
A. W.
I visited on Sunday with my family. I need to say amazing service and great atmosphere. The staff was super helpful and polite. And hilarious! When we asked for slice of orange and lemon with no questions asked we received what we needed. Food delicious! We eat it all. Look at our empty plates! Btw amazing interiors! Will return.
M. A.
Beautiful large pub with wonderful decor reflecting the past. Reasonably priced. Great sitting and selection of pub food. Excellent toilet facilities.
n. j.
Was good but was typical pub and so noisy couldn't hear the person next to me. The food was good but not a lot of vegan options, linguine wasn't available and the only vegan option was nachos. Ended up with sandwich with no cheese. They were very apologetic, not their fault. Fully understood. Problems with delivery. Food was good. Service was good. Overall a great evening.
R. S. P.
Busy .. noisy.. but nice place and a great location to boot
S. F.
Nice open space and location. Music loud but drinks good and nice feel. Comes up on your bank statement as Barrowboy and Barker for some reason. Staff nice. The upstairs looks suspiciously like a sports bar type place so I didn't go to that bit. Would recommend, otherwise..
M. C.
Great pub, friendly staff, well kept beer.
M. C.
Nice pub in a great location. Also nice selection of craft beers. Super pricey though with most pints over £6.
D. G.
Glad to see you’re open again, chaps. These welcoming urban pub deserves a visit (and a pint, at least). The only good thing of this bloody pandemic is having had the chance of going to these iconic areas without the crowds (we had been there before, but it was like a thematic park then).
In summary: Good cask ales and smart staff, in a place with charm.
O. J.
A pub I have visited numerous times. Good for Borough Market and directly outside London Bridge rail station. It's a Fullers pub. Nice place to eat and Fullers tend to have different menus at their places but I find all their pubs very good. I had pie and chips which was 16 pound so it's not exactly cheap but it was very good. The drinks..well I'm sure you could find anything you are looking for. The staff were very friendly and I have always managed to find a seat regardless of how busy it is. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area of London Bridge
P. V.
Met up with my brother as it was a good location. Very Covid secure as tables were well spaced and clean. Some very good lunch deals available but we only met for a drink before doing a walk around Southwark. Staff were very friendly and welcoming
G. L.
Great place, good atmosphere, very friendly and loads if beers and ales.
Might get expensive though.
C. K.
Great pie selection on the taster menu and the ales to match. It's a bit loud at times but hey everyone is enjoying themselves. Great pub food 100%
V. L.
This pub was vibrant and welcoming . We had the pie meal it was gorgeous . The waiting staff were really lovely and friendly
The pub is well located right next to london bridge .
Would highly recommend
A. B.
Nice spacious airy pub at a decent location. Busy with the after-work crowd. Some extra friendly bar staff and the delightful King Barry.
L. M.
I've always loved coming here, as the place is large and the drinks are plentiful. However it lost a star for running out of Guinness on a Saturday night, and being ridiculously and unbearably warm
D. M.
The go to pub when meeting up for a night. Great place to start the evening. Ideally located in London bridge and Borough Market. Maybe though avoid when the NFL is in town! ;)
M. R.
Had a fantastic night . Good vibe in the place with the clientele. Friday night dj , Dancing. Door staff were friendly and welcoming, bar staff were quick and cheery . And the drinks were not that expensive. What more can you ask for .
E. W.
Great pub with good beer and whisky. Friendly atmosphere and a great place to go with friends in the run up to Christmas.
H.
Nice pub, good food and atmosphere. Close to Borough Market and London Bridge train station
R. D. J.
Really good Pub, beers standard london price, foods top quality. Good for an after works motive
d. g.
Fantastic night out with good friends. The staff were amazing - really helpful and friendly. Made a great atmosphere even better.
K. S.
Barrowboy and market is one of my favorite stops while in the city. Great meat pies and a wide selection of ale and beer. The atmosphere is friendly and warm and the food is great. If your looking for a nice hearty meal and a pint. I would suggest you stop by.
B. C.
Great location next to London Bridge station. Ideal watering hole to begin a pub crawl around the river Thames pubs. Bit pricey though.
C. L.
Fantastic old pub, highly decorated for Christmas, loads of old banking features and a bustling, happy vibe. Throughly enjoyed our visit
G. M. C.
Good food. Staff were polite. My lamb and mushroom pie was smaller than expected but was tasty. Chips mustve been fresh because they were quite soft to begin with but crisped up over the duration of the meal. I would recommend.
4 stars because pie wasn't twice the size so it didn't satisfy my gluttony.
V. D.
Busy Central London pub, has all you need. Decent selection of drinks and the food was average without being amazing. Good for post work drinks and handy location for the train and to meet people. Salt of the earth type pub and recommended.
R. G.
Ellis was absolutely amazing when I visited last week with some friends. He was so friendly, funny and looked after us really well. I would go back again just for him!
K. T. A.
Went there early this morning for breakfast. Definitely the place to be when you're a Hawk fan. Inviting and authentic atmosphere and great tasting food as well. Had a chat with the owner - try the salmon. 👍
F. P.
A big but very comfortable and stylish pub. Surprisingly less tourists. They serve a wide range of beers. Service at the bar is good but decoration and furniture is modern standard, clean but has a warm atmosphere as well. #probeergourmet
J. N.
Stopped in for a pie and a pint on A Friday night in early December. Good food, good beer. There was a very large Christmas party that took over most of the upstairs dining room and that caused the service to be a bit slow but nothing to complain about. Typical Fullers menu.
V.
Great location, however service can be very slow and inexplicably they close the top part of the pub
M. J.
The pie and beer was amazing!
The truffle Mac & Cheese was so-so.
The service was pretty good.
I’d definitely recommend this place. It wasn’t nearly as crowded as other bar restaurants in the area, and the ambiance was nice because you don’t dine that close to the bar.
Bottom line: if you come here for the first time, get a pie!!
p. a.
What a great Pub. Spacious, great beers, good Menu. Don't moan about the prices, you are in the heart of London. Good place to start a London pub crawl, or meet before going to Borough market. And even a good place to go before a Wembley event, only 30/45 minutes (depending on changes) journey straight to Wembley park.
E.
Beautiful place for a pub lunch - nice atmosphere and great staff. Fish and chips was excellent as was the draft cider. Price is fair. A really good lunch.
K. R.
Very nice pub, pretty interior with a good selection of beers. Staff is really friendly. If you come for Sunday roast I'd recommend reserving a table beforehand. If you just want to walk in you'll probably have to wait for a bit, but there is a bar and great drinks to help you pass the time. Also probably best to come early-ish. Last time I went all roasts were already sold out unfortunately, but it was almost 2pm on the day.
J. B.
Stopped here with a friend for a pint on a chilly day. Lovely quirky interior with a grand, sweeping staircase to the upper floor. Wasn't sure which beer to have so the very kind and patient barman let us sample a little so we could make a good choice. Super friendly service, reasonably priced, I would return without hesitation if I was in the area. Although we didn't eat, the food arriving at neighbouring tables looked well presented.
D. D.
First time there was just meeting some old friends before moving on,definitely worth another visit menu looks inviting
R. K.
Nice, conviently sited pub between London Bridge and Borough Market with good selection of beers and Ales.
A. C.
Great pub. Glad I was able to visit. Great food and beers. I have my first English breakfast there it was amazing.
L. H. (.
Great place, great interior, good selection of drinks. Can't comment on any food as didn't have any.
D. T.
Refurbished earlier this year, horseshoe bar has gone. Clean and tidy, staff pleasant, good beer, Borough market next door, all good!
J. D.
Nice decor but the whole place smelled like fish and we were unceremoniously kicked out at 10, which seems early to be closing!
M. B.
Really lovely pub in the heart of London. It's a great place to meet friends as there's plenty of room inside and not too long to get service at the bar either. Even better for meeting friends as it's literally a 5 minute walk from London Bridge so anyone can get there from any part of London really.
The inside has a restaurant and two floors with large windows that pan out onto the streets below, it's a very nice interior and the seating is comfortable too. A good selection of ales, beers and drinks and price wise not too bad for central London either.
Would definitely recommend this as a "nice" pub to either have a first date, meet friends or go for after work drinks!
B. F.
Recent refurbishment of this long-standing pub has made a good difference to the feeling and atmosphere. Try to get one of the booths in the window for a nice drinking and chatting session with friends. Friendly bar staff, good selection of drinks.
M.
Good breakfast. Not so large however the produce is top notch. Best pub black pudding I've had in a long time. Also amazing Victorian decor.
S. P.
Very nice
You need more waiting staff to clean the tables
A. G.
Lovely pub with nice atmosphere. Lots of space and the bar is marvelous.
S. C.
Excellent staff, nice venue. But the music is way too loud for any decent pub.
S. C.
We visited this bar twice during my brother’s stag day. As a beer drinking venue it is ok but enormously deceptive about food. It is a nice venue. However I ordered a platter for the guys checking at the bar if pie meant singular or plural. I was told that you get three pies although in fact it is one. The chicken wings would not keep a humming bird airborne although the sauce is nice. Overall, an ambitious three stars.
S. C.
Nice Fullers pub, near London Bridge, good beer and service
J. D.
I wanted to post a picture of the food I had but after the first bite I couldn't help myself and ate it all! Good pint and great food makes this a great place to pop into. Looks good also so well worth the visit
F. F.
Great pub just by Borough Market & London Bridge station. Spacious & clean with disabled loos with easy access for those who need it.
Great place for a coffee & a quick work meeting
C.
Convenient place to have a quick meal if you are visiting London/Tower Bridge. But a bit disappointed with the ordinary white bread used. It just tasted very dry. There are more options if u walk towards the Tower Bridge direction.
L. M.
Great place to gather and socialize..meeting ppl from all over the world! Good food..good drinks..very pleasant staff..from entrance to the tables to the bar!! Highly Reccomend 👍👍👍👍👍
p. v. d. V.
Great experience when the pub was used as the Titans pub for the NFL game. We come back here for sure when I be in London for another game. Also the staff is really nice and friendly. Thanks for everything. Keep on doing it like you did it last week.
P. G.
Great location and ambience. Its right next to the Borough Market, London Bridge station and London Bridge!
D. W.
Solid enough pub. Not the cheapest, but not bad considering where you are. There's a decent amount of character inside, a wide range of drinks, and the staff were very polite and helpful.
T. C.
We stopped in to get out of the rain. I had the house salad, Fried Mac&Cheese paired with the Steak and London Pride pie..it was very filling yet not a lot of food.
R. W.
Celebrating Christmas 2020 with some work colleagues and visiting the establishment twice in 4 hours cannot be bad a recommendation!
O. S.
Visited last year.
Very spacious with two.floors.
Good selection of drinks but a limited food menu.
Good friendly staff.
On Sundays they screen the NFL matches so they also attract a good following of NFL fans and visiting American tourists.
Located beside Borough market it is ideally located and a well appointed pub.
Nice place to visit or to meet friends for drinks.
R. J.
Lovely food, not cheap but lovely all the same
A. V.
Excellent meal couldn't fault it. Definitely recommend for a great meal out
A. W.
Great pub! Such a good atmosphere with a great selection of drinks and Food. Really pleasent staff but can get really busy with the football on!
Really easy to find and a perfect location for London near the embankment.
W. B.
Great pub for meeting at after work. Staff doing a great job during these challenging times keeping customers and colleagues safe alike (visited during tier 1 status). Wide selection of beers, wines and spirits, plus your pub grub. Best to book in advance.
R. S.
The food was good and the staff were nice. I had an issue with the bill the service was charged twice so we paid about 4 pound more than I wanted to in the end and it adds up, maybe just check when you are there.
D. H.
One of my favourite pubs in London. The interior is very grand and impressive. Service is really good. The selection of food and drink is great.
A. E.
A nice pub with nice inside, cannot comment about the food as I did not eat there. Toilets are average, after a certain time gets dirty.
J. K.
nice pub with lots of character near London Bridge, good atmosphere
E. S.
Really chill nice atmosphere, people followed the COVID rules well. We were able to sit far away from other groups and chat without shouting. Great, friendly staff really good service. Good beer selection. We mostly got nibbles but everything was tasty. The chips were esp. delicious.
P. D.
Brilliant old fashion style pub. Right next to Burough Market. Friendly staff
K. S.
Wonderful old pub on the southside of London Bridge - glorious building - decent range of beers/lagers - gets busy after work
S.
Very conveniently located pub, as it is right next to London Bridge station. The staff are great, but I would say it's a bit on the pricey side.
J. W.
Always a pleasant time here and good selection of drinks.
A. P.
Awesome place with absolutely delicious food! The best pub food in the area and very kind staff. Definitely recommend especially if you fancy delicious meal. Best Sunday roast in the area!
C. B.
Quick service and comfortable atmosphere, might come again next time I am in the area.
W. A.
Excellent customer service. I was better treated than the pub next door "Grind". I was offered samples of different beers and the staff es really friendly. I'll be back.
G. M.
Spotlesy clean, great food, reasonably priced, highly recommended nachos were fantastic.
S. J.
When we were there it was very loud. Food and drink was okay. It was one of the few pubs I've been in since covid that actually felt like a pre-covid atmosphere.
C. W.
A great pub with lots of atmosphere.
N. K.
They made my favourite drink really well! And we managed to find a table on a Wednesday night.
G. H.
Good selection of beers but the ales and bitter are served to cold 🥶
C. L.
Always delivers! There's other pubs around but this is the place to head for.
The beer is superb, location awesome, friendly cheerful staff. Just brilliant 👏
A. H.
Great selection of drink, didn't eat but saw that the food being served up looked spot on. Good location for a drink before going around the market.
p. b.
Good service, food is staple pub food but well done. Got noisy by early evening.
D. P.
Great pub a Stones throw from Borough Market.
D. D.
Not as busy as when previously visited considering it was a Friday late afternoon. Still a good selection of beers and other drinks and a good atmosphere.
M. S.
Good beers. Near the station. Plenty of space.
V. S.
The pie was nice but pricey for what it was. Good service and good beer.
M. M.
Went here during the Seahawks game and the atmosphere was great! Friendly staff and the prices are ok. Will definitely visit again!
M. W.
Only popped in for a couple of drinks but was quite surprised at how expensive the drinks were compared to other places. You can get better and fancier drinks elsewhere for cheaper.
C. C.
Lovely place. The staff ate very good. Place is clean and the pies are lovely. Very worth a visit.
J. W.
Good staff, great location and decor. The only reason this doesn't get 5 stars is I feel the bottled beer selection should be wider for a bar catering to the post-office crowd.
That said, the beers they do have are all very good - including Fullers ESB on draught which is always a delight.
N. B. N.
Amazing pie and pint 👌 I'll be back next time I'm in London
B. E.
Beautiful interior, roomy and just round the corner from Borough Market.
G. D.
Bit surprised it didn't open until noon on a Saturday. Otherwise very nice.
C. B.
Good atmosphere and friendly bar staff, but door staff unprofessional.
H. L.
Great food, fabulous London Porter, ample seating, fun atmosphere, great service.
B. S.
Nice decor, friendly staff. Always a decent spot for a quick drink, will come back to try the food
K. M.
Authentic feeling pub with some great beers and great service!
D. M.
Great bar, nice atmosphere and good beer
T. T.
What's to complain about. Good ranger of ale and a tasy burger.
G. D.
There for Bears pre-game. Good sized boozer with a good choice of Fullers. I will return next ine I'm in town
l. w.
Awesome place for the seahawks party, had tons of fun.
A. G.
Cool place. Nice food. Good atmosphere. Staff really nice and helpful.
T. P. (.
large portion of fish and chips, helpful and great staff, cosy interior, craft beers
D. K.
Decent pub, nice couple of pints Wednesday afternoon
D. G.
Very cool Fuller's. I like how Safe Deposit Boxes appear to be on display (if they are fake then they're convincing!) which add to the venue's authenticity. Drinks were good and staff, friendly. Thanks for having us. Look forward to returning soon.
S. B.
Real good pub, fabulous lunch. And it's a Fullers pub, so the beer is great.
A. B.
Great comfortable location close to London bridge station. We visited a week before Christmas, had a pie each and mix of starters to share. Food was great and drinks were frequent with the beer being great as we'd come to expect from a Fullers pub, definitely be back 👍
J. J.
I have been in London for 5 days and this is hands down the best pub I have been to. Amazing service, my wife and I especially enjoyed meetingJosh, who we had a lovely chat with about his home country, South Africa! I would highly recommend this pub to anyone wanting a genuine British experience!
T. T.
We were a family group going for the rugby, absolutely brilliant! Staff were amazing! I use this as a meeting point due to its location, great bar, what makes the difference though are the people that work there. PS The bacon sarnie was the best.
W. W.
I have been here for drinks a couple of times before and thought the venue was great. This time, I met some friends here for a festival dinner get together and we were all pleasantly surprised by the friendliness of the staff and the quality of food. The Sunday roasts (they ran out of beef and veggie by the time we ordered!), the nibbles and the pies are all fantastic. Try the pie and pint combo, it's great fun - you get 3 mini pies and 3 mini pints to match.
I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. It's well located for any visitors to London too.
S. p.
Very impressed. Nice decor and theme.
C. G.
Great pub with fantastic staff. Had a table for the final of euro 2020. Definitely recommend this pub.
J. W.
Lovely pub opposite London bridge tube station.
D. B.
Top boozer, drink choice was fantastic and the service was friendly even when busy. The pub was very spacious and had a great atmosphere. The los angeles rams were there. The decor was smart and upmarket looking. It's about a 2 minute walk away from the tube as well
J. G.
Had a meet up for xmas drinks with my rugby club brothers. We use this hostelry every year as it is central and always very welcoming for us. Despite being incredibly busy I never had to wait at the bar. WELL DONE!
B. D.
If you want to see the Seahawks while in London....this is your bar
E. M.
This is near London Bridge so very close to the Thames. It is quite a big venue but has a cosy atmosphere nonetheless. We only had drinks here so didn’t get chance to sample what seemed to be a varied menu. The decor is based on the old banking world which is quite unique. Quick service with a smile, definitely worth a visit. It’s close to Borough Market which is a marvel to walk around so this would be an ideal lunch stop.
C. S.
Such nice Pub with great atmosphere. Very clean and following all COVID rules. Good service, tasty food and very friendly staff- Paulo was always cheerful and very helpful.
M. V.
Cozy and nice place close by the train station.
Food was great and served in generous amount (pie/fish and chips). Large choice of beverage.
The staff was also very nice and friendly.
Could be a bit too loud due to the music of the bar.
G. R.
Great location. Service a little slow, but perfect place for a few pints close to Borough Market and London Bridge.
K. S.
Good place and good food. But a bit pricey.
J. M.
Excellent huge pub. Great service and v polite and helpful staff. Highly recommended.
U. C.
Excellent pie and mash, the best. Prompt service good pint of pride
B. B.
Love this pub, friendly and quirky
P. N.
Lovely pub. Great selection of beers, excellent food and good service, many thanks😃
M. D.
Popped in here for a drink during our trip to London. Obviously a converted bank branch. It looks good inside. We did not eat here but would have happily ordered as other customer's food looked good. Quite busy but plenty of seating available. Nice pub.
M. B.
Nice decor, not to busy while I was there in the afternoon. £9.50 for a vodka & lemonade and a diet Pepsi. Didn't try the food 🙁 soz. Would say the clientele are mainly local city workers and tourists.
J. G.
Really well located Fuller’s pub, ideal if you are waiting for a train. Always rammed on Thursdays and Fridays so don’t expect a seat or anything crazy like that.
Restored and updated in 2017/2018 and made much cleaner, while retaining the character of the building.
T. C.
Always a pleasure and always a good beer
P. N.
Lovely old london pub on London Bridge next to Borough Market. Always well populated with enough staff not to have to wait being served too long - even in busy periods. Good selection of drinks.
I. P.
Right place to get real London feel :) drinks, food, service... everything on TOP!! I will defenitely come back
R. D.
Fab pub to meet your mates for a catch up.
O. B.
It a friendly pub and great staff. Can't wait to go back .
a. L.
Stunning boozer, good location, great staff, clean and fun, what more could you want.
C. M.
Was here for new year and I will say that the atmosphere was fantastic.
The bar staff were very busy but still remained friendly and polite.
The bar has different levels and part is for the restaurant.
Well worth the visit
T. M.
Very nice pub (decor and staff are great). But it gets way too loud when a DJ is around (eg. Friday nights) to the point it becomes a club. Great if that's your thing, but that's not what I look for in a pub.
P. L.
Friendly staff, great beer selection and ideally located for London Bridge 👌
R. D.
We went to watch England v/s Scotland match.. What a place! Love the vibe.. Amazing music too..
K. C.
Since this place had a revamp a number of years ago it has developed into a real venue to visit
Inside you have the best natural light to illuminate the great selection of beers and some wonderful pies.
If you fancy just drinking then stay downstairs but if you want to impress somebody with a meal or just have some lunch then head onto the mezzanine for great service and wonderful food.
It's right on London Bridge next to Borough Market and across the river from the city but without any of the pretensions those areas might conjure.
If you're in the area is well worth just paying a visit
D. E. P.
Great place to have Lunch, a pint or just Good time
D. J.
Starters were great, especially the Calamari. Mains were not good, Roast was dry. Desert was OK but would have been difficult to spoil a Sorbet.
Drinks were OK, bitter and wine palatable and reasonable cost for central London.
Service was pleasant and attentive, if slow.
My son recommends the pies instead of the roast.
H. G.
Nice place, on two floors and very busy indeed. Serve food, but didn't eat there, but from what I saw from others eating, it looked pretty nice. Bouncers on the door, pretty much what you would expect from a pub in the city.
J. S.
A very nice pub. I particularly like my server Ellis who was very nice and offered faultless service.
K. f.
This was plan B for a birthday dinner after the first place cancelled but it turned out better than ok. The food was lovely and the service was great. Would definitely go back
C. G.
An all around great place for a beer. The service is always with a smile and the atmosphere is lively and vibrant. I personally love the decor with old banking drawers featured throughout. Getting a table can be very difficult most times though, so arrive early to avoid disappointment.
I. C. (. C. T.
Great atmosphere for the Colombia Vs England match. Went with friends. It was an eventful night. I enjoyed it! Too many rude naughty loud drunks though. All this noise for a bloody team. Good food there.
A. P.
Very nice place. Friendly staff good clean facilities all within easy reach of London Bridge, Borough Market and it's local attractions and transport links. This is a return visit to the Barrowboy & Banker and will certainly be making more visits in the near future.
P. W.
You'll be hard pressed to find staff that work this hard, this attentively and this friendly in central London... My opinion of the area and the venue's in that area is not good... This Fuller's pub just smashed it!!!
A. K.
Absolutely great service and a beautiful building with unique details! However, the food was a little lackluster. We had one of the tasting platters and everything was a bit dry and lacking flavor. The mini pie and Indian cauliflower pikora were good, but the mac and cheese croquettes weren't the best.
A. C.
Nicely refurbished and really friendly staff. However not great keepers of the ale. If you want a nicely kept Fullers pint you could choose more wisely. Otherwise good atmosphere if a bit touristy but that goes with the area.
H. H.
Love it! Shame hophead was not on. Hopefully next time
M. S.
I have book a table for 10 people and we have enjoyed my leaving party.... we are arrived around 6 pm and we have been there till 22, so this mean that we have drink and eat... the food was really good and nice to see, about the service was perfect and really kind... Have been a perfect place for to enjoy my party... I recommend it!!
B. R.
I visited this with a friend on the way to London Stadium on the 25th of May for a bite to eat. First impressions do count of course, and they were good. Friendly, smiling and helpful staff, prompt service; food served quickly and very enjoyable. A good experience, and to anyone in the vicinity of London Bridge station, well worth a visit
S. K.
Great location but just too busy after work. They also allow reservation of all the tables so at about 6 you have a half empty pub with nowhere to sit.
Once it fills up the noise level good of the scale and everyone shots to be heard. Way too noisy.
S. R.
Haven't eaten here but great choise of beer and a good venue. Also a great place to watch international rugby. Beware that this place can get extrememly busy Thursday and Friday evenings.
E. B.
Excellent location, right next to London bridge station. The interior is spacious and interesting, with a spiral staircase and safes built into the walls and floors. The service was good and the drinks tasty.
D. G.
Really nice pub... more seats would be a bonus thou!!
S. D.
An ok pub but the prices are extortionate
O. S.
Was late lunch on a Wednesday. Good was awesome and the various drinks service was awesomely prompt. Managed to get more drinks on than I thought I would before catching my flight. Awesome! Will. Definately be visiting the next few the I am at London Bridge or Borough Market.
n. c.
Very busy very loud.not for my generation !
J. E.
The Barrowby and Banker offered a welcome re-fueling and drying out spot on a very wet day. It is a large pub but manages to keep a warm and welcoming atmosphere . The prices are worthy of a moan, but the staff are friendly and the food was good, but again top end price. I will definitely use the pub as a meeting place again and won't mind too much if the weather means I stay longer than planned
D. B.
Buzzing, noisy, vast. Great music. Limited but interesting pub menu. The roasted beetroot/squash feta lentil salad was delish. Good wine. Staff very friendly and efficient.
J. C.
Whilst pie and mash is at the pricy end of that particular spectrum the quality is very good. We enjoyed helpful and friendly service, the place was well decorated for Christmas. Take that plus good food, beer, wine and atmosphere and there isn't much not to like.
K. S.
Great staff...customer service oriented. Pls do visit there.
n. v.
This is a Fullers pub in a very interesting historical building with a good selection of beers. The interior of this pub is nice as many of the original fittings have been retained. Is a very noisy, active pub with a good atmosphere, they have sky sports licence and show football matches on a big screens. It’s very close to London Bridge station so makes it ideal for a swift pint before heading home.
a. H.
Nice decore and a decent selection. Good toilets too. Went there around 7 ish. Lots of people in suits and business attire. One star off for the number of people drinking at the bar. Hard to get served because of the number of people drinking at the bar. It created a bottle neck. Bar staff should move these inconsiderate people on.
L. W.
Love this stylish and beautiful pub. Returned twice during our three week trip from Australia particularly for the amazing food. The meat pies are outstanding. Highly recommended 👍
J. D.
Right. 5 stars this time because of the new(ish) layout. Re-locating the bar to the back wall has transformed the customer space and appears to have increased it noticably. I had boycotted this pub previously because of the chaotic interior but it's right back on the list. Great atmosphere post Christmas with busy but friendly staff.
M. F.
Excellentninternal decor. 3/4 circular booths are excellent for small groups. Beer is well maintained and tastes good. Located just over London Bridge near to the tube
D. Y.
Tried this place during my most recent trip last week. Food was really good and plenty of beer choices! Can't wait to visit again!
D. L.
Decent enough. Convenient location. £6.75 a pint
L. S.
Good service, clean pub. Easy access from Borough Market
Staff checked if any of our party were gluten free, they have GF markings on the menu
Good wine and beer choice
T. B.
Distinctly average. Place is always very busy and as a result, service standards drop. Roasts aren't something to choose - stodgy roast potatoes, stale Yorkshire's and dry chicken, all served with the tiniest of gravy jugs. Reasonable selection of ales though.
D. S.
Great pub, good service. We ordered toast which came as warm bread...we had to send it back, eventually it came back ok. Other than that it was ok. I would go there again.
I. C.
Nice waiters, good food, lovely atmosphere and affordable prices.
M. D.
Noisy and busy with not enough room for people. Too many yuppies on their phones shouting into them. Barely space to talk to the person standing next to you due to the excessive noise. however if you like all of this sort of stuff which people seem to it's a perfect place.
C. S.
Nice food. Had lunch there very nice.
C. D.
A good large fullers pub on the south side of London Bridge. The location is very convenient for the station and a good place to while away some time waiting for a train. The beer selection is standard fullers beers such as London Pride, Chiswick, Honeydew etc.
Food options are limited and pricey, but good
D. S.
Love this pub as I have said on previous posts. Right now they have a plum porter which is amazing. Its like a fruity Guinness. When I was there, they were celebrating the NFL coming to Wembley and the place was dedicated to the Seattle Seahawks. So lots of American and Canadian fans were there. Great to meet some of them. All together now Sea..... Hawks!
J. H.
A nice bar, but usually very busy with London bridge workers. The beer selection us pretty good. I didn't try the food but it did look nice and does have a dedicated area away from the crowds.
A. K.
visited this wonderful restaurant on the 27th October, the restaurant was really clean and the staff was wonderful and welcoming, they had a problem with the card machine and offered to give the food on them which was really lovely of them, definitely would visit them again, the food was tasty and filling.
P. W.
Place was absolutely heaving, five or six deep at the bar, but all credit to the staff for keeping things moving at a decent rate. Good selection of beers. Decent food. City prices.
F.
Lovely characterful Fullers pub serving a good selection of beers and great food. It's a shame they have got rid of the original Victorian curved bar but the new layout has opened the place up.
S. L. K.
Went there with some friends for their leaving party. Lovely staff, good music and nice atmosphere. Prices aren't too bad either, for the area.
C. D.
A nice pub not far from Borough Market. Well kept inside and often quite lively.
Food is reasonably priced. The place is kept clean and the staff are nice.
L. H.
Second visit here for breakfast. Not as good as we'd hoped, as first visit hsd been good. Large group turned up long after us and their food was served before ours...Lord knows why. Staff seemed nice if overstretched but one male member of staff really wasnt bothered and it showed. Great pity.
J. S.
Great pub good beer
L. R.
Popped in for a Kwik bite after a reunion. We all had the hamburger, mine with stilton, which came with chips. The food looked tasty when it arrived, & was, my burger was slightly pink in the very centre (how I like it) & was juicy. Had a beer, peroni from memory, to accompany it, the bill was reasonable. The place was very busy, even in the early evening.
M. H.
Nice spacious pub with a good selection of beers and spirits, have visited several times as easy to pop in while waiting for train at London Bridge. Has a good selection of gins to choose from.
G. P.
Lovely central London Fuller's pub with great service and great drinks. There was plenty of seating for drinkers and people eating food and it had a relaxed atmosphere. Would definitely return.
J. L.
Always a favourite haunt with staff who care x
P. M. C.
Nice pub in a good location. I visit regularly. Would have given it five stars except for the overly loud music in the evening that made it very hard to talk.
R. W.
Only ever go here for the rugby during six nations or Autumn Internationals. You're pretty much guaranteed a good crowd and atmosphere. They have a massive projector screen so everyone can see even when it's standing room only, and the bar is big and curved to it's not too hard to get the beers in.
My banker for watching the rugby in central London.
M. H.
Serves one of the best IPA I’ve ever drank (name escapes me unfortunately). Great atmosphere, excellent service! The full English breakfast was unimpressive unfortunately...
R. W.
A reasonable boozer very convenient to London Bridge Station and Borough Market. That being said it's often quite busy and it can take quite a while to be served. Beer selection is OK but there are better places close by.
D. B.
Good London Pub vib.. Popular every night
D. W.
Nice atmosphere, really lovely pub, beautiful to be in. Good selection of beers and food is really nice. Portions are a little small but the quality is good.
D. G.
Good drink selection and atmosphere
S. B.
Went here to meet some new housemates and the atmosphere was really nice.
Beers were quite cheap for central london (About £4-5 per pint).
A proper english pub - Definitely hit this place if you fancy a quiet one after work
G. M.
Located near to Borough Market. A large pub with a great buzz.
Whenever we visit we're reminded of when security staff here pulled people in off London Bridge and took steps to protect them and their customers against the terrorists during the London Bridge attack.
M. R.
Great pub near London Bridge. The renovations have improved the floor space and given more tables with natural daylight. Great spot for meeting people, easy access from London bridge Station.
J. H.
We had an amazing time few days ago and were looked after by wonderful Paolo... We'll be back soon!
B. J.
A good pub situated right outside of London Bridge station. I wouldn't ever grab any food here as I imagine it would be rather standard faire, but the quality of the ales and lagers is good. It's also a good meeting spot if you're looking to do a bit of a pub crawl around Borough and / or Bermondsey.
What's quite unique about this place is that it seems to be popular with tourists, locals and city bankers alike. A rarity!
N. P.
Useful place to meet close to London Bridge Station. Tables to talk. Helpful staff. Plenty of seating at different levels. Good selection of beers.
J. W.
Another London Bridge boozer. It's a Fullers pub so usual range of beers, food, that you'll find in Fullers. City prices, loud, noisy. The small bar area means you can wait a while to be served but the staff are efficient if a bit detached.
S. R.
Not too crowded, but pretty busy for a Thursday evening, had a dj on but not too loud, good selection of beers, pretty darn conbienant for London bridge
N. P.
Good place, only reviewing 3 stars because they didn't have a lot of the items on the menu, no saltbeef Reuben sandwich, no fish cakes, after third trip to the bar was able to get a steak and ale pie (safe bet), pie was good, good crust, lots of steak.
T. C.
A fairly big place which is busy over the weekends. Like a lot of pubs these days it's part of a major pub chain so fairly commercialised but the guts of the original building are still on show which is good to see. Live sports on the TVs too.
D. P.
Nice pub central location. Down side ordered drinks paid for drinks then bar staff advised no football tops made to cover up, wish staff had advised before we spent out.
A. M.
Lovely atmosphere&staff; excellent food and beer variety too. Plenty of tables to chose from, thr bathrooms are well kept, overall 5 stars from me would come again.
P. M.
lovely old pub,top Guinness 👍
K. R.
Reasonable selection of drinks, friendly staff and good location, but no differential from the many other loud and busy city beer-&-wine-bars, so for anything other than a convenient after-work meeting spot, or a passing drink before a train, there are plenty of more characterful places nearby.
T. E.
Great atmosphere and Fuller's beer :)
P. C.
Great pub right at the foot of London bridge. Home to the Travelling Texans for the 2019 NFL London Games. Great staff, good drinks.
P. W.
Generally packed in the evenings due to its ideal location on the bridge by Southwark Cathedral and and close to London Bridge station and Borough Market. Serves excellent Fulham beers. An obvious place to meet someone if you are coming from different directions. Not eaten there.
R. H.
Solid roast, good fish and chips. Recommended.
M. B.
Been drinking here for a couple of weeks Beginning to like it Some of the staff are friendly and though the clientele can be a bit stuck up there are always enough interesting faces to keep me entertained
G. T.
It's a nice place, very busy, but with a good old-fashioned pub feeling. The food here is excellent, especially if you're looking for a traditional English pie!
R. D. H.
I really would like to thank this establishment for hosting our American Football fans, thanks for the great hospitality. Drinks were good as well as the food, quick and fresh.
N. S.
Not a bad pub but the DJ seriously needs to either update his catalogue or turn it down.... Didn't really want to eat my fish and chips with "I GET KNOCKED DOWN, THEN I GET UP AGAIN" blasting into my face
K. B.
Sorry just got your email, that must have been my son's playing with my phone! Definitely not 2 stars, sorry. Had a lovely time and changed the status to 5. Thanks for a wonderful evening!
J.
The food is generic of a typical London gastropub. The pies are excellent and hearty. the service at the bar is swift despite the queues and the staff are friendly. Book a table in advance if taking a large group as seating can be scarce at peak times.
t. c.
Ordered a chicken burger, if that was chicken then it had 4 legs and moo'd. Despite receiving the wrong burger ( I was on a tight schedule and wouldn't have had time to wait for the correct food) it was very nice.
M. B.
Quite packed on thursday night, service was alright. The food was a little disappointing. The fish and chips were super lame and the sharer plates also weren't that great. Would recommend for drinks but not for food.
M. K.
Had a quick dessert which was delicious. Nice, cosy and warm place with a such a nice and helpful staff. Thanks Ben
D. G.
Expensive beer but a nice pub. I hate the covid process they have.
W. B.
Cosy and welcoming bar very close to London Bridge station nice choice of beers
with food served till late in separate area
Or in bar lovely staircases too
T. B.
Great place for G&T
J. C.
Whilst pie and mash is at the pricy end of that particular spectrum the quality is very good. We enjoyed helpful and friendly service, the place was well decorated for Christmas. Take that plus good food, beer, wine and atmosphere and there isn't much not to like.
I. C. (. C. T.
Great atmosphere for the Colombia Vs England match. Went with friends. It was an eventful night. I enjoyed it! Too many rude naughty loud drunks though. All this noise for a bloody team. Good food there.
H. G.
Nice place, on two floors and very busy indeed. Serve food, but didn't eat there, but from what I saw from others eating, it looked pretty nice. Bouncers on the door, pretty much what you would expect from a pub in the city.
A.
Busy Fullers pub over the road from London Bridge station. It's a good meeting place other than that it's a fairly regular pub
n. v.
This is a Fullers pub in a very interesting historical building with a good selection of beers. The interior of this pub is nice as many of the original fittings have been retained. Is a very noisy, active pub with a good atmosphere, they …
P. B.
Glitzy mirrored well-lit yet relaxing pub. Beer choice good. Prices not as high as I feared. Haven't tried the food.
k. h.
Popped in for a drink. Great looking interior. Christmas decorations were lovely. Great atmosphere . Very busy place but still relaxed
L. R.
Nice querky pub.
J. T.
Great bar usually busy, it's a big chain so has all that you would expect, but had a great atmosphere.
T. F. R.
Good selection of beers and really great food. Happy staff made our lunch break a pleasure.
S. P.
Nice place and good food. Lovely service
J. F.
Like the new layout very good choice of craft beers be it a little on the expensive but where can you go nowadays that isn't good atmosphere didnt eat but looked good
J. C.
Good pub. Overpriced for the overpaid. Food less than average and, again, overpriced. OK as a place to meet before going somewhere more reasonable. Use Bookatable app for good restaurant offers.
P.
A good place to hang out around London Bridge
D. C.
Table service was the only way to get a drink and a service charge was applied. I know that the virus situation has enforced changes but I don't see why you should be able to profit from this.
s. v. D. w.
Beautiful pub lovely layout but out of my price range. £6.45 a pint!
M. P.
Top meeting to chat location. In the right place. Not good seating as it's busy, but worth the time if your near. MP
A. K.
This is a really popular and busy place for a pint after work, no sitting space and everyone crowded around the bar its hard to get a pint. if you like that kind of environment then its great.
T. B.
A fairly large pub, opposite London Bridge station and just the other side of the river from the City. On the plus side, it does have a quite a wide range of ales on tap, and decent food, including "proper pastry all round" pies. Negative points for intrusive TVs on sports channels.
j.
A very good food. We had Burger and Fish and Chips. The Fish and Chips are the best we have had in London. The beers are Fullers. I prefer the EBS.
C. C.
Love the xmas decorations! Beer is really good, staff is friendly as well. Would definitely recommend!
A. V.
The food was quite good, cant complain about it. Service was good as well. But however there are so many mice that I have even managed to make a video. Too bad I cant upload it. However if thats not a concern for you, then place is quite nice.
19.03.2013
J. M.
Average pub, always busy. Plays sport on big projector and is popular for after work drinks. Does a good pint of London Pride
J. D.
Good solid pub, gets very busy because of it's location. I personally prefer other local places but I wouldn't knock it.
R. O.
Food is not very good. The fish and chips had many bones and the sandwich was something I could've made myself at home. Deco and ambience very good.
R. T.
I love this bar! We were visiting London for the New Orleans Saints vs Miami Dolphins football game and this was the "Saints" bar for the weekend. Classy, beautiful place !
M. B.
Fantastic pub in London, good service and even better food.
Only downside was no WiFi and trying to do a bit of work was difficult
S. A. (.
Needs some more seating areas but a decent place to have a few drinks before you head home after a long day at work. Just be aware you might be standing a lot.
M.
Nice pub just on top of London Bridge
A. S.
very nice pub been going there for many years very busy pub the only problem since it's been refurbished is the bar is to small takes ages to get served
D. S.
Have spent a good few large nights in this place. Ooh the regret. But still, it's a lovely building and spacious interior that gets filled after work.
Once, in a case of mistaken identity, the landlady of a different Fullers pub attacked my girlfriend. As a result Fullers offered us a free meal, wine and pudding to make up for it. We chose Barrowboy & Banker and had the best meal ever. Couldn't move afterwards... Which is when they POUNCED! Hahaaaa! Onlyjokingonlyjokingonlyjoking.....
Hope I see that guy that looked after us again, he was fantastic.
G. R.
Wow. Just. Wow. What a wonderful pub. So open-planned, good beer, great banter. Why not just stay here forever?
J. C.
Nice range of beers , pricey though
A. C.
A handsome pub but really hot, packed and noisy on a Friday evening. A convenient place to meet en route to somewhere else but wouldn't want to spend the evening there.
D. S.
Great pub in London all good 👍
M. C.
Always like going to this pub. It's possible to reserve the booths by the window (and other tables) which is useful around lunchtimes as it can get quite busy.
J. H.
Average pub in a good location but no outside space which is a shame so close to the river. Handy for a stop off before heading north over the bridge....
D. M.
Nice pub, great pies. Just order at the bar and the food will find you. Quick service and friendly staff.
A. C.
Good beer and service
B. S.
First time visit but won't be the last, a decent pub with a good selection of beer
P. B.
Bit pricey, and can get extremely busy. But decent selection of drinks and friendly staff.
V. P.
Championing the Fuller brand, The Barrowboy & Banker serve up speciality pies cherished by the pubbing punter as well as classic grub like Fish & Chips or Sausage & Mash. With a generous selection of cask ales and beer also available
D. W.
Decent London pub, beers at an expected price for London. No large screens (or any screens for that matter) and music played at a background level.
D. P.
Busy bar on the south of London Bridge. Great atmosphere in here. Great beer choices and a typical pub grub menu, like it in here.
R. B.
Nice, airy pub that tends to get quite busy from around 5pm on. Staff can be a bit impersonal but its a decent central London pub.
I. H.
Respectable decor, but the two best things about this pub are location and name, particularly if you spend time around London Bridge and need to direct people to the area. 'Do you see a pub called 'The Barrowboy & Banker'? Usually the answer will be yes.
B. P.
Great afterwork vibe. Good mix of professionals and meet-up type dates. A bit pricy, but they offered us table service upstairs. Did NOT expect that.
M. H.
No doubt it is historic
And judging by the price of a pint (£6.70) I'm guessing it's 'business rates' are extremely high
D. X.
Great staff. Food is not cheap but very tasty. Good choice of beers and lagers but all fairly strong.
N. G.
In a Borough of so-so pubs, this is fractionally better. With so much great ale in the UK, Southwark is making little effort in either sourcing or serving beer.
S. F.
Busy place so reserve table. Fantastic food well served. Friendly staff. Definitely eating there again
J. B.
On a Friday it's good for a quick drink but you wouldn't want to stay any longer than that as it gets far too busy.
T. M.
Lovely pub amazing food and great service will definitely be coming back
M. K.
One of my fave pubs in London. Very busy but the pub food and drinks are great
M. L.
Great spacious pub
Very busy when we went but staff were excellent.
L. D.
Good atmosphere and friendly staff. If you want a pub pie in London this is the place to go!
J. O.
Met friends from my time at lloyds bank. Venue was fine. We all had to stand
Only complaint was how hot it was.
Air not moving at all.
J. H.
Lovely pub, great atmosphere
G. M.
Awesome, but very noisy pub. Two floors supported by two bars. Beer is quite good as well as service ;)
j. c.
Hah lunch here today! What a lovely pub! Lovely bar staff and a real good vibe! Loved it! Thank you!
P. Y.
Friendly staff, good food menu , a great atmosphere and has just been refurbished. Love the building😊Worth checking out.
C. D.
Lovely pub, very friendly staff
A.
Busy Fullers pub over the road from London Bridge station. It's a good meeting place other than that it's a fairly regular pub
A. G.
Nice friendly pub
M. F.
Very nice vibe! My friends enjoyed their food and the whole English pub experience
M. F.
Laid back friendly place. Bar staff are friendly and welcoming despite being extremely busy on a Friday evening. Thanks.
D. H.
Refurbished, now with more room, still vibrant but with more to offer.
It's not a regular stop for me but clearly there for when I do. Worth a try? Definitely.
B. C.
The barrowboy was friendly but the banker let me down and declined my begging for a
Loan. They don't offer 200 year mortgages just alcohol and tasty food.
D. R.
Great place for a drink with friends.
M. G.
Nice place but food is quiet expensive. But good atmosphere and great friendly staff. Would certainly go back. Not far from the Shard!#TheFoureyedPoet.
M. W.
Great place near London bridge. On the high st easy to find. Big and airy. Pleasant atmosphere, good beers. Close.to the market.
A. D.
Bustling Fullers pub with their food and beer offering. Gets busy but crew on top of it. Good for London Bridge .. on the way home beers.
M.
A good London pub.
H. F.
Great pub so close to London Bridge south side.
I. F.
A good pub near to London Bridge station - Personally I preferred the old layout to the latest version - however for a decent pint near to London Bridge it is a good option.
M. H.
Nice pub meal. Friendly service. Shame i couldn't have a pint as well!
D. H.
Food is amazing, welcoming staff and great service
J. G.
Does the job and not a bad location, just very loud! Fairly good beers on tap as well which is always a bonus.
E. V. (.
Great location, good food, good beer :-) The GPS signal is a bit rubbish, but hey... To misquote Meatloaf 3 out of 4 ain't bad!
M. K.
Had a quick dessert which was delicious. Nice, cosy and warm place with a such a nice and helpful staff. Thanks Ben
R. M.
Decent pub. Was buzzing on the Saturday afternoon that we were there. Good choice of lager.
R. W.
Not as nice as it was before refurbishment but worth an occasional pint and meal. Restaurant area staff were quite friendly.
J. F.
Nice decor and comfy chairs, good enough beer selection, could have a more chilled vibe if the lighting was less bright
J. R.
Good pub, nice decor and great service. Just a shame it closes at 11pm (Saturdays included).
g. f.
Usually great pub to pop in for a pint - so close to London bridge, but was too busy last time, took an age to be served
M. K.
It's such a nice vibe here. The food's good. I always get craft beer Frontier here
J. W.
Good pub, and convenient location near station. Usually busy, but service is pretty quick regardless
J. H.
Conveniently located very near London Bridge Station. Easy to find. Popular, and thus crowded at times, as a result. Has nice decor, giving you the feel of the 19th century.
J. C.
Travel to see the Texans in London. This was the Bar for HOUSTON Texans fans. Great atmosphere. Live music 🎼 and beers 🍻
T. B.
Had a excellent birthday meal here though need to book at busy times. And good real ale 🍺
N. N.
They welcomed the Seahawk fans to London. A Friendly staff, good food & beer, and great decor!
D. G.
Expensive beer but a nice pub. I hate the covid process they have.
p. M.
Great service for food
S. S.
Expensive, with a capital EX. £20 for a glass of wine and miniature bottle of prosecco. Beautiful inside though.
O. L.
Very much changed since my last visit but a very good pub a very nice range of beers and I will be going there again
D. L.
Decent bar; a nice variety of drinks and environment. Does get quite busy so be prepared to stand :)
r. k.
Nice place, bright with good selection of drinks. Didn't have food but looked good
V. M.
Nice location just off the Shard and great ambience... Didn't try the food on my visit but the drinks were just great.
E. L.
Called in for a drink before getting the train home after a day's shopping. Busy place with very helpful staff. Will defo call in again.
W. M.
Great location, decent selection of beers, interesting interior, lots of seating and space. Recommended
S. H.
Great staff and atmosphere. Really good food and drinks not too expensive either!
C. C. (.
Great afternoon and evening with the guys from the rugby club. Great beers but definitely London prices.
B. T.
Needed somewhere for myself and nephew to eat after a day sightseeing. The staff are great and the food was great. Even with it being a Thursday evening
C. H.
Beautiful pub with great waitstaff. Nice and warm, and very welcoming (even to a couple expats.)
p. w.
Great pub plenty of fine Ale’s & Gin Bar
Highly recommend a visit.
R. M.
A big, noisey London pub, a former bank. Drinks reasonable, they serve very big food so come hungry.
B. B.
Nice bar but as it's in central London it was pretty expensive (£4 or so for a pint of Carling). Lovely decor though.
D.
Great pub with great range of beers
W. E.
Nice pub, lacking in atmosphere as the clientele is mainly transient. Also tad expensive , even for London
S. B.
Good nice atmosphere, but on most occasions you have to fight your way through the crowd to get to the bar.
K. H.
Lovely old pub with a good atmosphere, the real ales I tried were very good and the staff are nice
D. O.
Popped in for lunch. The steak pie was superb. Staff was great, atmosphere enjoyable.
R. K.
a beautifull place is not enough. It's a pity to own a beautiful pub like this in great location and not having nice dishes and polite staff
S. B.
Great pub. Good food. Nice staff. Would come again!
D. P.
Good pub, small and busy.
Great location near London Bridge station and Southwark Market.
N. S.
Expensive. But good range of beers and sprirts. A certain sort of crowd is attracted to this joint. Make your own mind up.
M. S.
Noisy on a Saturday night and very busy, but food was excellent and reasonably priced. Ideally book table !
F. C.
Good food good beer. Could be worse, could be better. I was happy to be there when i was hungry. People are quite nice.
G. C.
Great pie and mash
S. R.
Impressive interior in that pub and serving lovely local beer. Worth having a pint in.
S. R.
Doesn't have my preferred Beverage, but Hey, Ho....nice boozer with art deco (Old Bank) appearance....Next to LB sta.
P. W.
Great pub for a catch up,close to London Bridge station, good atmosphere.good food.
K. L.
Friendly, good atmosphere.
G. M.
Great service. Decent range of beers. Wine is expensive! Worth it for a round with mates and then move on.
È. A.
This is the best pub what i ever tryed. Nice beers, amazing and tasty foods and very nice people.
M. O.
Beautiful interior, great location! But a somewhat lacking selection of beer (especially on tap)
L. C.
Great pub, great atmosphere, very close to London Bridge station. Highly recommended!
C. C.
Nice bar next to London bridge station. Reasonable prices friendly staff and nice music.
D.
Amazing venue. Staff are welcoming. DJ has great music selection
N. E.
Great beer and food!!! Fish chips are incredible!!! Service was bad but hey... we dint come here for the service.
P. H.
Nice pub which is a good meeting place before or after a walk along the South Bank or a visit to the City.
A. P.

Conflicted. Love the cheap beer. Hate the charlatan in charge. Toilets are sub par but so is the crowd
