Reviews of The Betjeman Arms
K. H.
Very impressed with this pub. Can't believe it took me this long to discover it! Accessible from inside St Pancras Station (upstairs at the side of the building) or from Euston Road (by Rennaisance Hotel). Nicely decorated and furnished space in a traditional style. A variety of seating areas: outside, inside and in the station. Great range of drinks served by friendly efficient staff. Very clean and tidy when I was here albeit not very busy.
M. S.
Always a lovely vibe at The Betjeman Arms St Pancras Station. Good range of beers on offer. Great stop-off before the train back to Nottingham.
A. F.
A nice venue if you've just getting on or off of the train at st. Pancras or Kings Cross
A reasonable selection of beers prices are what you expect in London
S. B.
Good service and food on the whole was fine and reasonably priced. Nice location and ambiance too. However, I requested my steak to be cooked medium rare and it was definitely on the 'well done' side! Hence, only four stars.
K. L.
I have been to this pub quite a few times over the years and have always had a good experience. Myself and a couple of friends visited on Saturday 19th February for a few hours and had a great day. The atmosphere was great, the beer was great and the staff were friendly and helpful. The stand out members though were Joanna and Aiden. They are real assets to this excellent pub. Well done.
L. O.
As station pubs go, this is a pretty and decent place to stop and have a drink if you're passing through St Pancras. Lots of old railway signs and posters make for a pleasing interior. Friendly staff. At £6.95 for a pint of Gamma Ray, she ain't cheap, but it's thoughtful of them to let new arrivals to London know its gonna be an expensive trip straight away.
R. W.
Sat on the terrace. Speedy table service. Well kept Young's ale, excellent fish and chips and friendly service. There was even a power socket for my laptop. Excellent peaceful spot to wait for my train. Thank you.
J. E.
Apparently this is a croque madame... never had one before but it was pretty good. Decent pub right by the train station. Bit tired looking and some weird clientelle when we visited... but yeah it was alright for a snack and a pint.
H. S.
Absolutely perfect! The team were brilliant - especially Aga. The food was fantastic. The service could not have been better. I am so happy I made this booking, and my guests have all said how good it was.
H.
Spacious well presented bar & social areas. Good variety of alcoholic & non alcoholic drinks. Great staff. Good location. Had a fab evening.
G. L.
A great location and a beautiful building.
Exceptional service, good food and beer.
I didn't want to leave.
Revisited today and pleased to say all is still good.
J. H.
Attended for a colleagues leaving drink.
Clean premises, short waiting times at the bar, reasonable selection of beers.
Evening made more pleasant by the congenial attitude of the bar staff, esp. David.
Different to the more modern bars popping up in Kings Cross but worth a visit if you are at the station.
👍👍👍

The staff who served me were great. A pint of Peroni shandy and a pint of Orange juice cost us £10.80. Not bad for London pub prices in my opinion.
Was not too packed, so enjoyed a drink with work colleagues. Place comes recommended if in the area.

The Betjeman Arms
🚇 Kings Cross
🍺 Estrella £5.80
❤️ The Betjeman Arms is located within St Pancras station and adjoining the St. Pancras Renaissance Hotel and sits on busy Euston Road. London station pubs can be unusual places due to the mix of people and the unique atmosphere that you find in them as most clientele are not regulars and purely visit to grab a drink and a bit of grub before setting off on their journey onwards. You see many a wondering eye of people not familiar with their surroundings and having a good old nose about sussing out people and the geography of where they are. If you see this type of behaviour in certain pubs, there would be mutterings of “ What’s he or she up to? “ so the station pub is very different experience for me.
.
I have visited The Betjeman Arms on a few occasions and it never disappoints. The service here is always top notch and there has always been a friendly face waiting to serve you regardless of how busy it is. The decor is classy and as you can imagine there are lots of pictures relating the underground and railways. The pub has various seating arrangements with some snug dinning areas just away from the main bar and out the back theres a nice open space overlooking the platforms. On this visit I had the Mrs with me and she really liked the place, so big tick from her.
.
So if you’re heading North or arriving south or just in the area, I would definitely recommend a visit here.

Nice bar in the station. You can order drinks to your table via a QR code but need to register an account - and I think the staff would prefer it if you didn't as it screws up the serving at the bar which was four deep at one point! Bless the barman though, managed to organise the chaos and get it ship shape again!
C. B.
Pub fine, beers OK, service fine. But just so cold!! Please turn the fresh air conditioner off and pump some warm air in. Pub too cold to be enjoyable.
A. L.
Enjoyed the food and wine but found our male waiter flippant and stand-offish. It wasn't busy but he almost seemed annoyed we were there. Based on the other reviews seems to have just been an off-day. Staff dress v casually which isn't a problem but found it difficult to distinguish them walking through the restaurant when wanting to catch someone's eye. Lastly female toilets currently out of use so male have been made unisex - would be great to have a bin in there for women.
P. T.
Nice pub. Great view of the inside of st Pancras station. You can actually see trains arriving and departing. Quite a lot of seats. Not a huge selection of beers but very good overall.
l. l.
Googled place to eat in st pancras, and found this place. So happy i did, highly recommend the sunday roast not only was it filling, but also tasty and full of flavour. Staff were freindly polite and made you feel welcome highly recommend and will definatly visit again.. lovely place
N. G.
Neck Oil on tap. Young's On Tap app works very well. Big outside area in the sun in front of the stunning St.Pancreas building.
K. G.
Lovely Pub. Lovely range of beers and ales . Can't fault the place
J. F.
Lunch on the terrace was lovely. I felt as if I was indeed on holiday. I had a delicious warm salmon sald! The only downside we had a moody waitress that did not engage with us when making conversation!
E. T.
Nice, chilled wee pub with really nice food and a wide selection of quality beers, wines and spirits. Great to kill time in when waiting for a train at Kings Cross or St Pancras. There's also a nice terrace area for sunny days
x. y.
Had a great night with my friends. Spacious place, nice decor, waiters a bit slow at the bar, but overall a good place! Oh, and the security guy is cool :)
R. H.
Great pub to grab a drink before the train. Nice to sit by the Eurostar platforms outside under the heaters, and good range of drinks.
D. W.
Have been going to this venue for Food and Coffees for 6 years. Recently went for a works do and everyone enjoyed it. The staff have always been attentive and helpful. I really like the different dining options and sofa lounge.
J. H.
I walked in here thinking about a time I was here before, then paid too much money for a burger and chips that looked like it came thru a MacDonald’s drive thru and dumped on a plate. We give 3 stars because it tasted better than Maccas. I did consider ordering an apple pie dessert to see what it would look like. 😀 (I do like Maccas apple pies but could not justify the price just for a laugh. )
D. M.
Probably my favourite pub in town. There is just something very evocative about sitting out in the vastness of that part of St Pancras.
S.
It's a. Ice pub, but selection is fairly poor, and they were out of a lot of things when we were there.
V. G.
Busy and very understaffed. Used the app to order and after 25 mins had to ask how long our order would be especially as people that walked in after us were getting their drinks first.
R. C.
Staff are lovely. We popped in for rugby and a drink, and were very happy.
b. r.
Such a great pub! Friendly staff, really good food (try the harissa cauliflower or croque madame options) and great decor. Would definitely recommend and hope to return.
A. A.
Decent choice of a meeting point at Saint Pancras but an expensive central London pub. Over £8 for a single gin and tonic is steep, even for Central London!
W. B.
Usually only visit the Betjeman Arms after a day in London but always very friendly staff, nice beer. Nice Pub to finish the day before catching the train home
S. C.
Great place for a pre train drink, or planned drinks out. Booked an event for 20 people, fantastic service, area booked was bigger than needed. Highly recommended
D. A.
Amazing drinks and even better customer service. I can't wait to return!!
S.
We went to The Betjeman Arms twice. It is very well located near the St pancras renaissance hotel. We tried the double hamburger that was absolutely outstanding, duck breast (very well cooked and tasty), the fishcake and the Sunday roast (pork belly and partridge). Everything was absolutely delicious and the service was great. The pale ale is flavoured and refreshing. Absolutely worth a try.
D. I.
Staff and drinks were okay, but the (medium-rare) steak was incredibly chewy and my steak knife was so blunt it couldn't cut through it.
S. B.
Only stopped by for a quick one on the terrace but nice spot right at the station entrance at the top of the stairs. Easy to order and pay on the app for table service.
J. N.
Good atmosphere. Love the Neck Oil Beer. (Spurs beer).
J. C.
Great place to meet ,we only had drinks but the food looked great, lovely staff, very helpful manager
G. P.
Lovely evening spend on the concourse with friends. Lovely food and great service from staff down from Durham. Canny!!
D. L.
Excellent food ,great staff! Excellent hoice of drinks
c. K.
Limited beer selection but exceptional service, the bartender made us some custom cocktails which tasted great and packed a serious punch. Burger was decent as well.
s. l.
Good service enjoyed the salad cheese chips. It was lovely to be there
R. F.
This is a great pub, full of character and really nice people. It's just perfect!
C. B.
Lovely craft beers, perfect little hideaway near kings X
G. M.
Comfortable and friendly bolt holt if you want a few pints, get some work done or chat with friends, while waiting for a train at St. Pancs
L. M.
We had a lovely lunch sitting on the sunny outdoor terrace. The manager and her team went out of their way to make our experience special, even while very graciously handling multiple requests from other tables to stay longer than their bookings! The building is an amazing backdrop to a drink or a meal. I will be back and highly recommend a visit.
E. D.
Great food, lots of room inside and out, wide choice of beers. Chilled out soundtrack playing in the background. Friendly service. Will be back 😁
W. K.
Nice pub good food friendly staff, but the drinks are expensive....
D. B.
It's good. Always a thing about the team there looking up... They don't. I guess they have quite a transient crowd....
B. H.
Great old pub full of character, relaxed atmosphere in the middle of a busy station. Food good and priced fairly.
M. L.
Friendly staff and a good selection of beers. Had the roast chicken sandwich - nice enough but wouldn't order it again due to the bread being to thick, crust too hard - hence hard to chew. Seems like a nice place for a casual lunch or drink
R. R.
Fairly busy pub in a quite corner. Good value food and great location for casual drinks or formal dinner.
M. P.
Staff are friendly and happy to take your order whilst visibly busy. Good beers would recommend. BUT DO NOT EAT HERE! food is below average burger is cheap meat with hard fatty bits and dessert is microwaved rubbish. Drink DON"T eat.
E. P.
Lovely pub with different rooms depending on if you want a peaceful meal, or the buzz of company. Nice staff, nice menu. Chips were excellent! Quite ££ but perhaps less than the immediate competition. Betjeman inspired decor so very inviting. Loos bit basic but clean enough.
M. H.
Great food and drink but very crowded and poor COVID precautions while we were there
B. R.
This place holds many special memories for me, since first going there regularly after work during the 80s. It's grown and changed over the decades but still has real character and a feel of friendly welcome. Very spacious and lovely to visit at all times of the year - the outside patio area at the back is great in the summer.
C. S.
Fantastic private dinner for 10 in The Study. We used the TV for a video presentation and brought Bluetooth speakers so could play our own music. Food and drinks were delicious and the space felt intimate whilst the giant windows let in lots of natural light.
Thanks to Gen, Tiago and the team for making it such a special evening.
Highly recommend!
M. M.
A great little pub if you're headed into or out of Kings Cross or St Pancras stations. Much bigger on the inside than it looks with a nice seating area out the front but a great one out then back where you can watch he Eurostar slide in and out of the gorgeous St Pancras station on its way back or to, Paris,
D. S.
Located on the upper floor of St Pancras Station or accessed via the sloping main entrance to St Pancras Grand Hotel, this is a good meet-up point.
Live departures and arrival boards adds great functionality but the place itself is very pleasant with friendly staff.
A restaurant, a private room and a mixed eating/drinking space. I love the ‘outside’ area, actually inside the station, opposite the Eurostar trains.
S. G.
Beautifully located pub in St Pancras Station. Food pricey but good. Beer ditto. Friendly staff. Great views of Barlow's majestic train shed.
V. M.
Excellent bar, spectacular view of kings cross, a great terrace. Food was great, well priced and super friendly staff. Recommend if you are in the neighbourhood or have a long wait for your train!
l. e.
Good station pub. It's has indoors, outdoors and a mix of the two with a great view of the trains coming and going to Europe inside the stunning arches of St Pancreas station. Way better option than Wetherspoons downstairs
R. W.
Very convenient at St Pancras! Good simple British pub food, nothing too fancy but neither are the prices.
M. S.
Really delicious breakfast and cozy environment. I wasa little confused about how the wait staff worked, but you order at the bar and they deliver your food. It really perked up our morning!
R. F.
I enjoyed my lunch of chicken and ham pie with mash cabbage and spinnich. It was well cooked and very tasty. Earl grey tea to wash down. It's a very big place with many rooms I sat on terrace facing the station.
K. D.
Decent beer, hospitable staff - a little on the cool side outside
N. T.
Clean and with friendly staff. Huge place with a variety of rooms and inside and outside spaces. Great place to catch up with friends, where you can hear yourself talk and be comfortable.
A. M.
Popped in for a late evening bite to eat. Really good service from a manager/waitress armed with a tablet, who sat down with us, advised us and took our order. Good food, good wine, good location.
G. D.
Lovely pub was in a hurry to meet someone so will have to come back for more!
R. B.
Popped in for a quick on on the way home not a lot of dark beer but still a nice place
M. F.
An unusually nice pub in a wonderful building. One of the very best spaces to wait for your train. It's possible to sit on the concourse too.
A. D.
Fantastic venue, took advantage of the beautiful weather and sat outside. Inside really different and quirky old style elegance with a twist.
Food and service were excellent
Would highly recommend
D. H.
Good beer, good food, helpful friendly staff. A traditional pub in a spectacular location.
B. B.
Stunning hotel and bar but service did not match 5 star rating
S. K.
Brilliant experience, always great staff.
U. E.
Really nice spot overlooking Kingscross. It is up there in price. Just depends on your budget
A. M.
Always one fo my fave places to stop, to be fair any excuse and even better if a train delayed, relax and have a lovely pint at the Betjeman Arms
L. A.
Lovely pub while you wait for your train
N. W.
Used the outside space, good meet up point for a couple.... Or more..
g. w.
Second time back here now. Such a lovely outside area with heat lamps. The staff are so friendly & great service. Itll be nice to go again soon and try the inside areas which look very inviting.
Q. W.
Tucked away in a corner of the train station, nice a quiet for a meeting
A. W.
Nice pub at King's Cross
Has a terrace for outside dining
p. j.
Great historic location staff were a bit under pressure but good selection of real ales
T. L.
Great place to sit and chill after work or before heading for Eurostar. Great friendly staff
P. G.
A regular watering hole when travelling to St Pancras. Beer always in good condition if a little pricey. We had snacks from the menu.
T. P.
A cavernous and handsome venue. Admittedly had a broader beer collection before it became a Youngs pub but appealing none the less.
S. W.
Welcoming, good service , nice atmosphere. Good location at St. Pancras International station.
T. P.
Great pub, plenty of space and central location
A. S.
Nice friendly staff and great beer
T.
Great food, great drinks, friendly and helpful staff positioned perfectly for just arriving or preparing for a Eurostar journey, 10/10 and will be visiting again!
I. D.
Nice character pub ideal for pre train drinks or meeting place
P. L.
Really good station bar with a great terrace. Food and restaurant look good too.
V. C.
A charming pub, great for a pit stop! Excellent service from the young welsh lad. Will definitely be coming back!
T. B.
Met a friend for a beer before getting on the train. Great beer and a great environment. It's just nice to get out for once! 😂
F. K. (. M.
Looks OK but not ideal for sitting outside on a cold and rainy day. Was there pre-pandemic and absolutely loved it. Can't wait 'til they're back to their best ways.
B. H.
Good pint when you need it. Scotch eggs and sausage rolls are top notch. Friendly table service.
O. O.
Great food and service plus nice beer. Does get very busy after work though so can struggle to find a table.
J. G.
Friendly, welcoming staff. Quick service and so convenient for a few drinks before you travel.
M. (.
Simply perfect - cool and comfy place to chill and chat, good food, good service.
M. D.
Fantastic pub i never knew existed! Full.of character , spacious and a really good beer selection!
J. H.
Absolutely brilliant breakfast 3 days on the trot, a definitely place to book
C. P.
Had a Christmas dinner here, it was very good.
M. W.
Great beer and food. Good service to.
J. A.
Very large with nice dining room and smaller rooms inside. Great terrace facing St Pancras road which is a good sun trap.
D. L.
Inside st pancras International station what more could you want grade 1 station hotel and pub lovely food and drink
B. P.
Great atmosphere and decor, staff were helpful and friendly
K. B.
We had a lovely time, my two friends and I at this pub. We managed to get an attendant's attention soon enough when we needed to order the next round (and the next and so on) so no complaints there. We also ordered some food which was nice. All in all an enjoyable evening with old friends and all!
J. A.
Beautiful on the inside but I prefer to sit out in the station. Decent craft beer selection. Friendly service.
M. 2.
Amazing! Amazing! Amazing! Great points and really great food
A. N.
This is a good place but the management need to hire more staff ASAP.
C.
One of our favourite pubs to kick off a day or night in London. We always meet in the Betjeman for a quick drink and end up staying longer than planned. I have nothing bad to say about the place, I think it's a great spot with decent choice of drinks.
E. W.
Lots of space and cosy corners for chats. Thank you to the friendly bar staff who made it pleasurable.
G. R.
Views into the station and the old railway feel to this place makes this pub a unique little London treasure.
If you like craft beer you're in for a treat. IPAs galore... Great place to grab a pint before that train journey home.
D. V. L.
Very nice restaurant, love the atmosphere and views on the balcony.
P. B.
Really really like this pub. Decent choice of beers and bar snacks. In the summer it's lovely sitting out the front, the rest of the time you can sit inside the station and watch the Eurostars. Nice staff and a lovely atmosphere
G. M.
Friendly staff, good prices, very convenient for the train station. Good variety of drinks and food. Can be drafty when cold
G. C. L.
Generally it's a great pub. Been going there for many years. The temporary C19 restrictions, make it less fun, especially in poor weather.
k. k. s. c.
For one of those everyone's on their way somewhere, station pubs this place is pretty memorable. They serve a great selection of beers and have some great bar snacks - scotch eggs recommended. Staff are always very prompt and friendly. It gets busy in there and they work seriously hard to make a visit into an experience. Great restaurant too.
N. Y.
Decent pub for a roast. The food was good, but the pub could definitely do with more staff. While the waiting staff did the best they could to serve the entire pub, don’t think there was many to cover the restaurant and pub.
This led to service being slow and meant we were waiting over 20 minutes to order our food. Only to find one item was no longer available as they'd run out. Our sides came out a little late. Unsure whether they're forgotten about them as they only realised when I asked and was told "they're on their way, the chef is just making a fresh batch".
A. C.
Very nice bar, friendly staff
A. M.
The perfect place to stop for a quick pint either before or after a long train journey.
They have "outdoor" seating, which is really just inside St. Pancras station next to the platforms, but it kinda feels like you're outside I guess. It's very much a traditional pub.
They normally have a decent selection of ales and the food is above average.
It's a not a cheap place, but it's worth it for just the one... or maybe two...
E. s.
Very efficient service and not too expensive given the location - overall a bit of a good surprise when it could have easily been the standard train pub dross
I. G.
Fine place for a beer before you get your train
R. T.
This place was a pleasant surprise on the way home. Popped in for a drink, barman was very chirpy & helpful. Decided to stay for sunday dinner & glad we did as it was delicious, again all staff were extremely efficient & polite. Will definitely go back again & would recommend a visit. The real ale was in banging form.👍
G. H.
Met up with friends returning to Scotland, had some good which was not up to my standard, do did not eat it. It was down to me, but the manager said he was sorry and did not charge me. Service was very good and nice feeling there. My friends were very impressed. So thank You.
E. J.
Just felt comfortable and good staff
A. B.
Fantastic pub on the station concourse at St Pancras. Goats Cheese salad to die for and my fresh pint of Young's Original was delicious! I recommend sitting on the terrace if the sun is out!
A. R.
Very cool Young's pub in St Pancras Station.
Been there with friends to have a drink and I don't regret at all our choice!
Not a lot of beers on draught but really good selection, and I've been looking at the wines and the spirits and they really have nice pics from London and from the major world producers.
The food menu is amazing but we didn't had the time to try it, but don't worry, we'll be back next time!
m. h.
Great day no Hopping Mad on tap though
C. A.
Standard pub in a train station. Good free beer promotion if you sign up to their website.
S.
Attended a conference here. The venue is lovely and in the beautiful setting of St Pancreas station. However the service was hit and miss. Some of the staff were really skilled at what they do whereas one was obviously new and not very experienced. I hope to return again soon and make this a 5 star review as I am sure this place is able to achieve it.
Prices: quite expensive but as it is in the capital this is a trade off you out up with.
Setting: stunning
Service: mixed
B. E.
Always love spending time here waiting for our trains. Beautiful inside and out with a very wide range of drinks and good food. Can be noisy during footy ball times but most of the time it's very chilled and relaxing.
M. C.
Best pint I've had this year! Great food and service make it easy to miss your train, and the next one, and the next one.....
S. C.
Nice stop for a quick beer whilst around St Pancras. A bit pricey for a beer, but good quality and not overly excessive for the area.
M. D.
Excellent pub ideally located in St Pancras station. The beer is brilliant. Service is decent & there are good food options. Tremendous place to meet especially when the party of people come from different locations and need good transport back to their choice.
N. W.
A nice pub inside St Pancras station. Definitely worth a visit if you have spare time before your train, but also worth trying if you're just in the area. Quite big, good selection of beers, and every time I've been I've been pleasantly surprised by how fast the service is at the bar 👍
M. B.
Booked out the Study for a private dinner event and it all went really smoothly. The food was delicious, the space fantastic and very convenient, and the staff very friendly - Dan in particular was really welcoming and friendly, even willing to share his story relating to our meeting. Definitely returning here to host more dinners.
T. H.
Fabulous location and consequently expensive drinks.
G. C.
Great location for commuters as it's on the station concourse. Very clean and functional but lacks character although I think they've tried. Decent selection of ales. Can get rammed during peak traveling times.
M. C.
A great venue for transient meetings.
S. R.
Popped in for breakfast on our way home. The second time we have done this. Quality is consistently good , service likewise. Food price is reasonable, beer was a bit on the high side, but not shocking for central London.
C. S.
We only found this pub because we had some time to kill whilst waiting for a train and went exploring. What a great find though! Lovely cosy pub with plenty of seating and attentive welcoming staff. I can only give four stars as I didn't try any food, so will have to come back!
F. m. f.
Such a great service and atmosphere. Big shout to the team for making our evening so enjoyable. Highly recommended
e. s.
Went here on a Sunday night around 6.30 for a meal before we got on the train, quiet but staff still attentive. Food I could not fault, I had the code and chips with tar tar sauce, I did finish which is shocking as it was a massive portion,But it was so nice i jad too! My partner had the beef roast, always a little apprehensive about roast in stations but not 1 thing on the plate he could critique! which is saying something for him. potatoes spot on and meat was gorgeous!
Only reason not 5 stars is because we waited so long for our first drink! but that's it, definitely come again!
S. M.
Had a great meal in this large pub located in St Pancra station.
Was trying to find somewhere to go as we had our dog with us and were welcomed, no problem.
Best of all was Kamil our server who treated us more as his best friends and made a fuss of our dog.
M. C.
This pub is full of character, the staff are always polite and friendly and they also serve great tasting food.
This was the second consecutive year that my team (from work) had our team Christmas lunch and once again we left extremely happy.
W. H.
Busy city drinking house with nice staff and good choice of drinks. Loses a star as so many areas were systematically closed down for private parties. Only there little over an hour but got chased out of two separate areas. Even the outside seating was out of bounds because of a private party. I think I would avoid this place just because it was not relaxing to be excluded!
c. m.
Staff lovely and friendly, we sat in a private room, they offered table service but we decided against it. The young bar staff had a very difficult customer at one point but were polite and handle the situation well. stopped here couple times enroute to the train home. Pleasant
S. W.
I found The Betjeman Arms a couple years ago during a business trip to London when I experienced lengthy delays whilst waiting for a train home.
The venue is well decorated, there are great view from the terrace and the service is always very good.
It makes for a pleasant place to begin what is often a hardeous journey and makes it that little less daunting.
A. A.
I generally use this place to meet friends after work if we're all going home from Kings Cross/St Pancras or Euston. Much better than the average station pub. Wide selection of drinks, ok food. Lots of room inside or you can go outside by the Euston Road (not so nice) or 'outside' in the Station (nicer). Not the friendliest of staff but usually get served quickly
K. L.
Amazing pub and always buzzing.
I. S.
Very spacious pub which offers a pretty impressive choice of drinks. I really enjoyed their salt & pepper squid accompanied with a gorgeous pint of stout.
The service was friendly and efficient. I felt very welcomed in here :)
T. G.
A lovely pub lots of space, outside space too, friendly staff, mixture of seating available, wide selection of gins and beers. Visited on a Sunday Saturday afternoon in October on our way to The Gilbert Scott which is very close.
S. T.
It was England match on. But we wanted a quiet drink. We were allowed into dining room. So appreciative that day after walking around London. Private party meant no access to outside. Always come here when in London . Thank you again.
M. C.
Usually really enjoy this place but service at the bar was shockingly slow. Went to the new Spoons instead.
J. W.
Has the benefit of being situated in one of the most picturesque stations in Europe. The beer is good although being heavily weighted towards craft. The staff are cold but polite. Beware of a hefty price-tag.
M. P.
Came in for a beer (or two) and a burger before getting the Eurostar to Belgium. Clean pub, friendly staff, great beer selection, quick service and large portions of food! Had the Betjeman burger and was stuffed. Bit of a walk to the toilets but it's a big place so to be expected. Somewhere between 4 and 5 stars, but can't give 4.5 so will give the benefit of any doubt. Been a few times and will continue to come in when I'm off to the continent in future.
J. S.
Great potential: St Pancras/ Kings X was gasping for a pub with good beers, informal but friendly service. With its mezzanine entries it’s a bit hard to find, but well worth it once you do. Just avoid the pretentious door staff (bouncers?) who unfortunately make the ‘pub’ experience feel like a ‘club one!
S. C.
The beer is kept well and the food is great. A stones throw from Kings Cross / St Pancras, this pub is a must each and every time I am in the area. The sharing platters are fantastic as are the fresh scotch eggs on the bar.
Good sized smoking area (for those that do!) blankets provided outside in the St Pancras side seating area.
The restaurant food is excellent and not overly expensive, upon writing this review I have had 4 meals there with friends and not a single complaint.
Top Tip: You can connect to the St Pancras free wifi fro the bar side of the building.
C. D.
Nice British pub. Good beers. Great food. Ideal if you're off on the Eurostar or have a bit of a wait in the station. It feels like a bit of trendy London bar - you wouldn't know you're in a train station!
z.
Quiet and classy pub. Interior is great and it is incredible how it is integrated with St Pancreas station. Idead for a pint before the train or just chilling with friends. If the food menu was a bit more interesting it would have been ideal.
A. H.
I wouldn't say this was an overwhelmingly fantastic venue, sure it is decorated well and has a good choice of food on the menu, but in terms of value for money I'm not sure you'll find it here, with prices not equating to expectations of food service, presentation or quality. Then, you could argue this is London and this is a station restaurant.
N. B.
Well located meeting place with consistency good beer.
N. F.
App for ordering didn't work, long queue at bar
D. G.
Lovely pub and a great place to relax. The interior is beautiful and is just what you need before catching a train. Good view of the the Eurostar’s from the seating out under the station canopy.
T. S.
Love this pub. I try to visit as often as i can but alas its sooo far from my departure platform its never as often as i would like. Its always a busy place and the beers often change... which is a reason i go there... they are always good. All round an excellent visit.
J. E.
Very convenient place to wait if there is a gap between the arrival of Eurostar and the departure of your next train. Good food and drinks, though at London prices. Which might be why you can usually find a table in one of the rooms. Four stars because I visit every time we return from Europe, the fifth missing because I have some reservations . . .
O. D.
The Betjeman Arms is a delightful pub, nestled at the base of the imposing Victorian fascia of the St. Pancras Train Station. Named for the late Poet Laureate Sir John Betjeman, who so loved the building and campaigned for its renovation.
It has the usual assortment of beers, wines and spirits available, but the surprising stand out is the food. Always delicious and expertly prepared, the menu of reserved but excellent British meals is frequently updated and not especially expensive. The Sunday Roasts in particular are a cut above the average carvery fair.
M. H.
Spacious pub in St Pancras station. You can see the Eurostar trains from the inside terrace
D. H.
Handy place to meet if your going into St Panc Int - great coffee too.
E.
Good selection of beers, the Camden Pale was slipping down nicely. Bit loud in the main bar but quieter spaces are available. Just to be in this fantastic building is a privilege.
D. R.
This is a pretty good train station pub. It serves good beers and wines. The problem is that it is over subscribed. They could do with having a larger outdoor area at the front, which may not be possible as a result of council imposed rules, but the space is available. It's a good place to meet people arriving/departing from King's Cross. The only problem is that everyone else seems to have the same idea!
T. M.
Great pub for meeting people on the way home from work, though it does get a bit busy around commuter time, when everyone waits for their train. Decent food, nice wines and friendly staff, it's a cut above your usual station pub.
C. M.
Comfortable and friendly pub.
B. M.
Great place to spend some time while waiting for a train. Really friendly service; shout out to Kamil for the awesome and personalised service... people like him are rare in busy central London bars; friendly and willing to offer advice and tips on stuff to do. Cheers!
W. E.
Very relaxing and good decor. You can sit outside in the train station or inside. Perfect for hearing each other talk and the food is quite nice. Pretty large establishment that you can enter via the main station or from Marylebone road.
M. D.
Extremely small portion of main dish. Lamb coutles consisted of 1/3of bone, 1/3 of fat and 1/3 of meat. Mashed potatoes made from unpeeled potatoes... Veg consisted of a teaspoon of mashed green peas. What a shame. Adding a little more veg like fresh salad would make the dish so much better... Dessert gin and tonic cheesecake had way too thick base. The proportion between the base and the proper cheesecake was awkward in my opinion. Quite a few separate rooms that allow to have some privacy, however I wouldn't go there out of my own choice.
F. L.
A surprising amount of space available inside and a nice atmosphere.
They have an "at table" service and the courteous staff will periodically check if you need more food or drink, then you pay at the end.
Overall a great place to wait for the train home!
C. G.
One of the best scotch egg I have ever had. Add in the Camden pale ale and you have a win win situation :-)
Following this, tried the chorizo hash, wonderful! Add another pale ale and the day can only improve!
O. P.
Really cool pub to watch the trains come and go at Kings X. Tasty food also.
C. M.
Classy little boozer in a beautiful setting.
p. k.
StafF. Are a bit slow, lemonade came out as soda. Glasses were dirty and staff kept dropping things too
t. m.
Railway pub in st pancras station, just at the main front entrance. Good choice of beers and drinks with both an internal and external (in the station) seating area for food. A bit expensive compared to local pubs outside the station but cheaper than others inside.
J. R.
A light and buzzy bar in the new St Pancras Development.
This pub sits on the raised area, at the Kings Cross end of the St. Pancras building.
Expect this place to be busy all day as people come in for meetings or to grab a drink before the train.
Plenty of space to get a seat, with a great wine list and table service.
M. v. O.
This Pub/Restaurant is so cosy and elegant at the same time , that you don't feel like catching your train . Anyway, a good start when you arrive in London as well ,because it is so relaxing before you enter the Great City !
R. C.
Been here another time for business meeting. This place is so quiet. Staff is very gentle an food is good as well. A perfect place to organise meetings and also for a drink or coffe with friends. 5 stars!
C. P.
Nice beer. Pricey but you are in London. Frequent stop off while waiting for my train. Lovely sausage rolls if your needing a snack.
T. L.
Alright little bar to grab a beer while you wait for a train
B.
What a lovely terrace! A very good spot to drink cider or beer before leave London, eating a croque-madame (excellent). I also recommend their puddings: the chocolate mousse with strawberry is awesome. And a very nice service.
N. C.
Lovely food and atmosphere! Nice vegan option. The vegan roast with gravy was a little on the salty side but other than that a really lovely place.
M. W.
Always come here after getting the train into St Pancras, great drink selection served by some lovely bar staff, the food is always lovely too and the vibe is really nice, never seen any hassle here.
J. W.
My favourite place if I need to wait for a train and when I'm hungry. Super nice food, fast service, but no rush needed, friendly people, lots of drinks, given this is a pub and restaurant, they also serve non alcoholic beer.
I. C.
Busy but Nice old pub
J. P.
Decent beer, nice bar snacks - the scotch egg is great. Only complaints are that it's a little bit pricey for drinks and the outside area has been removed.
C. R.
If you want a drink at St Pancras Station and don't want to spend a fortune in one of those champagne bars then this is the place to go. I didn't try the food but there's a few decent beers here and a nice pub atmosphere.
R. H.
I had an amazing lunch in this place made all more pleasing by the great waiter Kamil. He was friendly, confident and knew the answers to any of the questions we had regarding the menu. Top food and great service.
D. h.
I really enjoyed my experience at Betjeman arms , the staff was so kind and helpful . Kamil was exceptionally helpful and welcoming , he constantly made sure that I and my boyfriend were enjoying our meal and offered to sort out any problems we had . I’ll definitely be returning in the future .
L. T.
Good pub in a highly convenient location. Limited space inside but the outside area within the station is nice and during busy hours has table service
Q. M.
Nice pub, quite to have a chat with friends, not too easy to find despite it is in a perfect location, just close to St Pancras hotel door! Good music, beautiful terrace and very kind stuff

l.
Reviewing drinks only (not food):
Booked the study (a small private room in the back - fits ~10 comfortably) - service was attentive & drinks were strong. Ambience was library room meets Sherlock Holmes.
Only gripe is the limited selection of cocktails.
A. K.
Very convenient for a drink in a real pub at St Pancras station. Beer was in good condition. Wish I could say the same for the Gents. Perhaps I went on a day when all the drains happened to be blocked.
N. L.
Very nice for a relaxing drink.
J. F.
Booking was easy online and staff were really helpful in letting us stay on after our alloted booking was up.
D. R.
a good place to relax whilst waiting for a train on the upper floor at Saint Pancras station. Good food and choice of refreshments at a reasonable price. Recommend.
M. H.
Despite only be able to open outside. It was quick and easy with a good range of food and drinks.
L. H.
Had a lovely Sunday roast yesterday, one chicken, the other vegan.....both yum! Served by a very friendly chap called Kamal who couldn't do enough for us. Would deffo come back for a roast when in the area!
M. J.
Nice service and they accommodated our group when we had less people than we'd booked for
P. K.
This is a traditional pub at St Pancras station in London. It is a handy place to eat or drink before taking a train, for example, the Eurostar. There is a restaurant in this establishment which is good. This place is named John Betjeman, an important British poet.
M. W.
.My sister and i always make time to have dinner here when we .meet up in London the food is amazing the setting is gorgeous, the staff are polite, friendly and welcoming we are always looked after very well, definatly a 5 star experiece for us
M. H.
For a train station pub, it is probably the nicest
L. J.
Met a few friends for a quick drink, service was fast ans friendly, lovely atmosphere.
Would definitely go there again next time I am in the area.
F. A.
Kamil was actually the best!!!!
So friendly and helpful and made my night so rad.
He's great at his job
6 out of 5 stars.
Would highly recommend this bar and Kamil to anyone xxxxx
A. H.
Lovely place. Extremely overpriced. Was charged £4.10 for a large glass of CONCENTRATED "orange juice" that was most likely bought from Poundland. One member of "staff" when I arrived didn't know if it was table service or not, but still greeted me on my arrival (??).
Do come for drinks, but watch out for the prices!
B. M.
Great English breakfast much needed after heavy night ✌️✌️✌️
s.
Nice cozy typical english pub environment with a great selection of sunday roasts and all the typical pub food classics.
Great service as well with smiling attentive staff who barely put a foot wrong.
Highly recommend
S. C.
Great drinks near the stations
M. C.
If you're stopping off for a quick beer en route from A to B then this is a great place to stop. Perfect for people watching. Wide beer selection and the food looked excellent.
A. M.
A great pub to wait before you catch your train. Sit outside and appreciate the wonder that is St Pancras station, although don't get too lost in the architecture that you miss your train
V. T.
Open before 11:00 on a Saturday, good place to wait for a train.
S. F.
Nice atmosphere, staff are very friendly, and know their business. Tried food a long while ago, but the beers are good and the food still smells amazing.
A. '. J.
I have always loved the Betjamen Arms but this time I have to say it's a bit grubby.
I sat outside on the station side the tables were sticky and dirty. Sorry Betjamen Arms 'Love ya' but standards are slipping.
t. k.
A lovely pub, nice decor and a wonderful setting. Polite and friendly staff, and great service.
L. G.
Pleasantly quiet, but definitely not dead. Seek out one of the rooms towards the back. Perfect spot for a meeting to found a world beating company...
I. M.
Good food, friendly staff and stylish place. I've taken two people who have visited the UK for the first time to this place, never disappointed.
L. S.
Waited here for 3 hours for the train. Great place, good food and great service from Rhys and Kamil. Thanks for making the time easy!
S. G.
Great station bar. Beer (ale) remarkably good, nice atmosphere and comfortable place to spend some time whilst waiting for a train at either St. Pancras or Kings Cross.
P. K.
Very nice place to grab some food. Really enjoyed it -price is reasonable for London but don't expect it to be cheap. Food is lovely.
H. T.
Decent little place to get a drink at St Pancras. Is on the top level with seating with a nice view of the Victorian railway roof.
G. S.
I hope everyone limbers up before each shift because every single staff member there should take the biggest bow. Dan shackleford, I hope youre enjoying your workout carrying this pub on your back.
D. A.
Nice place, service was slow (maybe due having to do all table service due covid)
D. S.
Great beer, superb terrace, even better service
D. T.
A delightful place for a bar, particularly one named after Sir John. All corners of the world represented today and all smiling. Great staff good beer, all is well.
S. D.
Nice decor, TARDIS like pub, part of St.Pancras station. Went in after a trip up North. Prices brought me back down to earth.
P. C.
Nice but for the mice! They were mildly entertaining whilst having a drink but you imagine much less welcome if one is dining!
L. H.
Nice pub for lunch. Lots of rooms so you can find a quiet spot to chat and relax. Great selection of food for lunch, the cottage pie was tasty and very warming
A. G.
This place is a well kept secret. Interesting views over the eurostar platforms, nice wine selection, lovely staff, great value. Slightly odd crowd, inevitable due to the location I suppose.
J. B.
Very, VERY high ceiling in The Study room will freak you out. Also only two stouts, so automatically poor by Sir John's standards.
N. K.
Always love it here on any occasion or even waiting for your train
A. L.
Good all round except.... named after a hero of British (and world) conservation, the lavatories are signposted as R*st Rooms an unspeakable Americanism! Fine in say, a Route 66 Diner but FFS it's at the Eurostar terminal too!
C. S.
We came in early after work before getting a train home. We were early but still they served great food. Although it was VERY Hipster the yummy food made up for it
T. “. G.
Had a great visit here last year, was really good!
However when I visited last year, it wasn't as good as I remembered. Probably my fault for managing my expectations wrong. I'd still recommend it to commuters.
O. K.
Nice spacious pub with a terrace in the heart of St. Pancras.
L. J.
Decent beer, food looks okay but not in a prime location for me personally as I have to catch the train.
K. W.
The roast chicken sharing platter was a work of art!
G. B.
Friendly staff and conveniently placed for a full English breakfast before taking the Eurostar. There are quite a few rooms in where to drink/lunch
S. A.
Nice place but although there always seems to be many staff, service doesn't always match up to what i would expect or to other similar establishments, without naming any.
R. M.
Lovely decor, decent service, good range of beer and brilliantly located. I've heard some good live jazz here too.
m. r.
Nice place for a pre train beer
M. B.
Apart from the perennially breaking toilets, I quite like this place. Decent food, interesting beer selection and really well located for the main station/tube.
K. S.
Very good although a bit pricey but that's London. Especially liked the quiet room at the back away from the noisy bar.
S. B.
Great pub full of character at my favourite London station
M. M.
Very expensive.
But the staff were exceptionally good and friendly though. When we needed some emotional space between our group they were very respectful and then friendly again when we needed it.
m. t.
Love this place, it's a restaurant, station pub, city pub, poets retreat all rolled into one. Go there if you like Betjaman but don't expect to meet Joan Hunter Dunn.
J. U.
Great versatile venue at St Pancras. Many different 'drinking zones' to suit your mood & circumstances
J. B.
Just discovered it. Really enjoyed a relax. Everyone was lovely. I will be back.
D. N.
Good place to meet or kill and hour if you're waiting for a train. Good selection of beer, friendly bar staff, and plenty of seats (inside and out the back).
M. S.
Nice food at a decent price with friendly staff.
P. S.
Always stop here for food on our trips into London. Lovely staff, fab food and amazing space. Well worth the visit
E. P.
Excellent and beautifully prepared food - the chicken and leek pie and sticky toffee pudding were outstanding and great service - the best we had in our week in London.
V. M.
Good selection of real ale, limited cocktail menu, good 60s tunes on. Friendly staff, nice place to wait/meet people.
B. T.
Upstairsfro at St Pancaras. Plenty of space to have a meeting over coffee, not too much noise. Ideal central location
N. B.
Good station pub, decent beers, thankfully at the other end of the journey we'll get 50% more for our money!
P. B.
.Really good station bar, with very wide choice of beer. Staff friendly. London prices.
P. M.
Very pleasant place, and a cut above the usual station pub. Has a nice outside area with plenty of seating to catch the sun on a nice day.
S. S.
A nice pub at St Pancras station, the selection of beers and other drinks is good. A nice place to stop whilst waiting for you train
P. C.
Very nice pub in a very nice location
J. V.
Large pub busy with after work drinkers. Great atmosphere, food looked appetizing though i didnt eat there.
C. D.
Good service nice food. Bit chilly and had to go to a cold corridor to use loo. Nice decor and interesting building.
T. S.
Stunning pub, lots of nooks and different seating spaces. Grest food, views, beer. Excellent station pub.
D. L.
Great place for a pre or post journey drink. Great wine , lavish interior. Best venue in the area. Recommended.
A. W.
It's quite a cool place to kill some time waiting for a train, but being in a trains station means it is pricier than most other pubs in the area.
E. M.
Decent pub with a good beer selection and nice food. Can get very busy at times tho.
m. c.
Would highly recommend The Betjeman Arms, really lovely pub. I was served by Kamil, who was incredibly helpful and friendly, made a real effort to accommodate me. Thanks
A. B.
Slow service if you use app
C. H.
Great food. Good service. Busy but exactly as expected for a pub at St Pancreas on a Friday.
S. C.
Lovely food.
K. R.
Always excellent service and nice ambiance. The menu is real treat, hard to decide what to have. My dogs like it there too.
B.
Service is still a challenge unless you boldly grab the staff, but there is still not a better location to meet around King's Cross / St Pancras for a lunch meeting let alone meeting for a quick pint before the commute home
J. S.
Great 'posh' pub underneath the arches of Sr Pancras station. Lovely food, well presented and helpful, friendly staff.
J. F.
This is a lovley pub in the surroundings of st pancras station . nice food , nice beer and wine . Very friendly staff . nice all round .
a. b.
Good place for a drink in St Pancras, cheaper than the hotel or champagne bar but you can still sit out in the station
B. M.
Good food, good staff and convenient location.
A. K.
Their burger was amazing.
A. B.
Good pub and excellent range of beers with quality food. Poor service (slow) lets it down.
M. A.
Nice place shame no more outdoor seating, have a few craft ales on tap , snacks are a bit pricey so didn't buy any to find out if they were worth it
J. H.
Nice, quick service even though busy, an it's built into the rather grand and gothic of St Pancras. Could be a good primer for that long train journey ahead.
C. W.
Everytime i visit london my 1st stop is here. Always a warm friendly welcome in nice clean surroundings
P. C.
Good selection of beers, good service, good place to meet people off Eurostar. Nice outside seating area in front of the station.
A. E.
Enjoyed a Christmas meal here with colleagues. It was a great lunch and good value I think - though someone else was paying lol
R. B.

Great location with superb food combined with an excellent drinks range, and fabulous staff! A* 😊
M. g.
My favourite pitstop before the journey begins

M. H.
Very stylish friendly staff

Excellent location for conducting business.
F. D.
Beautiful place, really nice and friendly service but £5.40 for a bottle of Heineken was a bit steep 😂
I. P.
Lovely setting in the station but need more & attentive staff. They have,nt got the old experience of knowing who,s next to be served !!!!!
D. C.
Loved this bar for a lovely drink outside looking at the amazing station
Kamil our waiter was just lovely xxx
R. W.
Great atmosphere. Helpful staff. Good range of drinks (especially spirits). Great location.

W. F.
Very comfortable bar/restaurant, with a touch of luxury, good food and friendly service. A place I will return to. :)
S. M.
Pretty cool revamped pub / bar with a decent selection of ales and hard liquors. Nice outdoor space and pretty lively on a weekend.
S. F.
Busy as it's in St Pancreas station but good beer and dining facilities. Perfect when awaiting trains.

Good selection of drinks but the food quality doesn’t match the price at all.
R. R.
Great pub for a drink at St Pancras. Lots of choice and fair bit of room
J. A.
Nice pub in St Pancras station. Well kept ale. Outdoor space, though on Euston road.
J.
Pretty good as station boozers go. Big indoor and outdoor areas. Usually has decent selection of beers.
I. M.
Convenient in-station bar. Good range of beers but slow table service if you sit outside.

Such a great pub, I got so comfortable I almost missed my train!

Great setting in St Pancras... watching the Eurostar trains coming and going. Nice food and beer too!!
R. D.
Nice big pub with plenty of seats inside and outside. the food is really nice and the outside terrace is amazing
C. H.
Good English food 🥘, although somewhat pricey, in a comfortable atmosphere. Great place for Eurostar travelers.
A. S.
Place is comfy, prices are fine, but the juices are the one you can find in any store.
A. B.
Probably the best pub in the station. Beer, power sockets under a few seats, and the music isn't too loud.
D. S.
Relaxing and luxurious pub attached to St Pancras station, best place for a pint whilst awaiting departure
p. A.
Loved it great staff
