Dog friendly pub with lovely garden out the back. Popped in today last minute and got a table for 2 and a dog. We chose the perfect time to arrive (12pm) because as we ordered our Sunday roasts, they were brought out in 5 minutes time. All the staff were friendly and loved dogs. They were also very attentive to us, even as the restaurant got busier. Food & drinks were exceptional!

After trying to find the perfect pub for a delicious pub dinner, with an element of style and refinement, The Bobbin fit the ticket! We called to see if a table was available in about 5 minutes, and they immediately kindly called back to tell us a table was available. The staff were so friendly and attentive, and the food was delicious!! We shared the salmon (gin and beetroot infused), a side of chips, and also the sausage and mash. The sausages were very meaty and tasty, and the mash was smooth and yummy. The salmon was the highlight for me, paired with great radishes and cucumbers, all very fresh and refined. I loved it all and will definitely be going back! The wine was also tasty and all at a good array of prices. Loved The Bobbin! 😍 We also got dessert which was equally as satisfying and impressive! 👏🏻

The burger is outstanding and cooked to perfection - don’t try and make your own suggestions ;) The roast was solid. Bonus for the winter: the heat lamps here actually allow for comfortable outdoor seating.

Great neighbourhood pub, with a light, airy feel. There's a bar at the front which is as comfortable for daytime coffee fans as for evening pint lovers. Nice conservatory dining area and a small beer garden too.

Really good Sunday roast!! Both the lamb and beef were very tender. Good amount of meat and potatoes were crispy. The service was super quick, maybe a little too quick, we hadn’t even had a sip of our drinks before the food came.

Our favourite Clapham pub, with exceptional food. It’s always delicious, no matter what season you go. From my last trip, I had an exciting seafood paella – the couple next to us had been isolating throughout the whole of lockdown, and said that of all the places in London they could return to for their first meal, it couldn’t be anywhere else but The Bobbin.

Lovely Sunday lunch out in the beer garden. All the food was delicious, and the social distancing and cleaning regulations the pub has in place is incredibly reassuring and instilled confidence that they're taking the current climate seriously! Highly recommend for food, drink and safety.

Great pub away from the crowds of clapham. Feels more local. Lovely beer garden and conservatory as well as nice soft furnishings inside. Great wine list. Nice menu. We shared an antipasto platter which had a good meat to veg ratio, all tasty. Service was spot on.

This is our local bar around the corner from work...( so I frequent often) lovely environment, has a family feel to it, and best of all they allows dogs in here 😍 the staff are always friendly and the service is always good. They do not make cocktails in this ale house, but they do have a very lovely outside garden, which is the perfect place to spend a sunny afternoon after a hard day at work.

Great place for top end 'pub' food and craft beer. Service is quick, polite and efficient. Tucked away at one end of Clapham you'd also expect premium prices but it's not unreasonable for that part of London and not a bad Sunday lunch destination. It's not a massive place though so book ahead for a table as it gets busy.

My partner and I just moved to Clapham, and The Bobbin is just around the corner from our flat. We enjoyed a delicious Sunday afternoon roast on our first visit, and we certainly will return. We feel so lucky to have a cozy pub just steps away from our new flat.

This place's charm lies in the old school bar area, which, while it doesn't have many seats, has lots of counter space, meaning plenty of room for comfortable standing. In terms of clientele, the feel is local, though it's be no means an old-school boozer. The staff are quite friendly.

I've been coming here for years and I think it's one of the most visited places in the area. The food is great and the atmosphere is unique. This is a great little venue for both food and drinks in SW4. When we visited we were able to sit outside and enjoy the sunshine. The service was excellent though unfortunately our food order took a very long time. After asking a member staff they apologised and offered us a round of drinks.

A bit farther out of the way. I will bring this up with the Irish fellow in the dog park who recommended it. We felt like Indiana Jones by the time we found it. It is off the beaten path. Once we completed our quest we had a cold frosty pint of Fosters. Again no Stella. My heart grows more and more broken. A lovely, jolly, dog friendly pub however and if you are nearby you should definitely give it a try. Which unless you are very local you will have to google your way!

In complete contrast to my last post about a pub, this pub seems acutely aware how to retain a nice pub atmosphere whilst also being able to serve a good standard of food without any serious issues… It’s not that hard a task to accomplish is it? In my opinion the standards of food, restaurants and general impressions have markedly improved for what has been produced and served in the UK over the last two decades. When this is born in mind it always leaves a sense of frustration that any venue that touts itself even in the smallest regard, fails to achieve a decent standard. Wondering around Clapham Old Town one Saturday, we tripped over this pocket-sized pub showing off what looked to be a good menu. Appearances are definitely not deceptive in this case. Upon walking in there are some lovely touches to the layout of the dining area such as a nooks tucked away here and there, giving a homely feel to the establishment. This is a self confessed gastro-pub and the smells greeting you as you enter attest to that. I ordered some Salmon and Dill fishcakes with Hollandaise sauce, whilst my better half ordered a Ceaser salad. Both dishes arrived promptly by decent staff members, and were both delicious. Great flavours and balanced textures in both dishes. These guys do definitely know how to throw a dish together.

Shipped straight from an idealised 1950's, the Bobbin is a lovely blast from a nostalgic but non-existent past. Groundsmen touch their forelock as you come into the local pub, happy that the landed gentry condign to eat with the commoners. You can even play working class games such as darts, and flirt with Maisy. The food is a solid 10 and a nice if rarefied atmosphere. A lovely knees up can be had by all before you are forced back to the 21st Century as you leave to see a Virgin Gym and closed down chipshop. Or, if you are the real deal, you turn left, not right, and into your stunning townhouse, and can prolong the fantasy until you need to go to work on the tube the following day.

We had a great lunch on Sunday. Some had the roast and some ordered from the menu. I had the calamari rings and the burrata salad. Both were great, specially the burrata. I had a taste of the saffron risotto and it was very tasty. They are getting a 4 because food took quite a while to get to the table and we had to order drinks several times from different people (we ordered them 3 times) to eventually get something to drink.
