Reviews of The Book Club
E. S.
Went for a friends birthday and had lots of fun dancing. ‘Bottomless’ was definitely true - I don’t think I ever saw an empty glass! It was a shame we were seated away from most people as we had booked tickets in advance but didn’t let that get in the way of a good time :)
O. S.
All is fine apart from ventilation and being overcrowded, is really bad, there is nothing to breathe with. And you let too many people there was no way to get through toilet apart from really pushing people.
A. S.
Cute bar with some music. Avoid the football table as it takes 1 pound for 5 balls ( total ripoff ) however shoes and beer are affordable and the armosphere is overall enjoyable. Young crowd
A.
Went there for Bad Dates which was brilliant. Would highly recommend. I would also recommend the Book Club getting more bar staff and ones who actually knew their way around the bar. The service was so slow and took ages to get a simple glass of wine.

I used this spot to network with a potential vendor and get some work done. I love the vibe of this place. There's plenty of seating that comfortable. It's also a dynamic space too that has a good mix of play and work which I like. The food is hearty and filling at the right price. This is a great place to meet friend and socialize or get some work done. It depends on what time of the day you show up.
D. L.
Very good breakfast (strictly 5!), good menu, nice place & kind service. Also suitable for big groups. The cappuccino was....far from our standard, not tasty, but the gladly gave us a refund with a smile. We find it great attitude & service.
J. R.
Amazing spacious cocktail bar with laid back staff. Food is good. Happy hour makes cocktails so much worth it. This is the place you want to go with large groups and have a fun night out.

We attended the #Notanotherdragbrunch for birthday celebrations. What a fantastic afternoon was had by all. The prosecco was flowing freely, in fact they couldn't top us up fast enough! The pizzas were tasty and again plentiful and we even got to take some away with us. The staff were all friendly and really look after you. We've already booked another date.
S. L.
The Full English Breakfast here was the best but it’s NOT anymore. They used to serve it with various baked beans in really nice sauce but for some reason they decided to change it to the can baked beans and the price is same. It’s nice place to chill but food becomes so-so now.
E. F.
Came here for a chilled weekend drink. The prices are reasonable and the service was great. Had a really friendly barman who made a special effort with one of our cocktails. There's also a downstairs area where we heard some spoken word performances
v.
Been here both during the day and evening. Brunch is not bad, but I’ve definitely had better, especially the bread. When I came there were quite a few things not available even though it was the start of Sunday brunch, so was a bit disappointed.
During the evening the place gets really crowded but the music is decent and the downstairs becomes a dance floor. It’s a lot cleaner and nicer than many clubs and bars in the nearby area.
C. D.
Lovely space. Quite large which was great because we had two large luggages that we were lugging around. The price is perfect for the portion size. Traditional breakfast- gigantic. All in all, good food, reasonable prices for good portions.
J. K.
I love the fact that i can my doggie with me to chill with friends and have brunch. They changed their menus but its still good i loved the available options and it changes every two weeks! They have free wifi so its good for work meetings or even if you need space to get some work done. A good chill spot
L. H.
Came here for brunch. The Full English breakfast was very tasty and the coffee quite alright. There were quite a few dishes to choose from on the brunch menu, matched by vegetarian ones. The staff is rather laid back. Slow, somewhat sloppy service - i got a latte glass with lipstick on it. They did replace it immediately though. Nice vibe around the place, very lively.
M. W.
Hip bar in Shoreditch with a solid selection of craft beers. I came here for a late dinner during a business trip to London. Place was busy but not crowded on a Tuesday evening, with some people having drinks, some people working, other playing ping pong. I'd recommend the place for anybody who's looking for a relaxed evening out.
K. S.
Stopped in for lunch after walking past. My food was absolutely lovely. Service was quick and well presented. My friends food seemed undercooked. When we asked we were told it's fine it's like that (chicken on the bone and pink) the member of staff was dismissive and a little patronising. I still feel it was a bit under but we are not experts. (Photo of the lovely meal!)
K. F.
It was alright. A cozy local hangout and the food was okay, but not great. I liked the atmosphere best of all. Lots of vegetarian and vegan options on the menu.
D. C.
A really good little (actually, it was very spacious) place to have a slow lunch day. Calm peaceful vibes away from the bustling shoreditch-ness outside. A great place to have your coffee, hold a long conversation with your friend, maybe whip out your laptop and enjoy your time. Nothing bad I can say about it. The food wasn’t the best thing I ever had in my life; not like oh my god, it’s so amazing; but I honestly came for some chill time and it did exactly that.
S. H. B. i. a. B.
Lovely drinks but boy is the service slowwwww. I've now visited twice and I'm not sure why it takes so so long to make a cocktail. Always seems like there's a bit of a mere going on behind the bar!
C.
Three stars all for the lovely lady who made my drink! They were out of one ingredient but she still put together something really delicious, and she was really sweet.
It's a big place; the lower floor was more the dance area, and the ground floor is more for talking and eating. There's ping pong too, which is pretty cool. Décor is lovely.
It remained pretty empty while we were there (6:30 - 10pm) but there are plenty of tables and seats for when it gets crowded. Lots of people wandered in and left soon after.
It's really expensive; £9+ for all cocktails, nearly the same price as their burgers.
Nice enough place and stays open until 3am. Pretty artsy, but a bit lacking in substance. Not my sort of music and just overall too expensive for me.
J. T.
Fun local place. Great for brunch or cocktails. Ping pong tables and more fun stuff downstairs when it's open. Crowded, so if you want peace and quiet, this isn't for you.
V. G.
Amazing spacious cocktail bar with laid back staff. Food is good. Happy hour makes cocktails so much worth it. This is the place you want to go with large groups and have a fun night out.
L.
We visited in the afternoon and had two espresso martinis which were delicious. This was made even better by us arriving at happy hour which runs basically all afternoon. Each drink was £5 which was quite reasonable.
Additionally, the bartender was very personable and welcoming. I would recommend!
s. f.
A nice place for a drink and possibly the best nachos in shoreditch. The ping pong table is a good addition and makes for a nice space to hang around with friends. Bar service is slow given that it is extremely small and the bar staff are all a bit quirky... (insert inverted commas)
X. R.
Lively and bright, even on a gloomy day. Large windows, colorful walls, a diverse crowd and good music. Came for brunch, house hash was delicious. Quick service without feeling rushed. Just the type of place I'd expect to find in Shortidge.
L. J.
A bit too loud for chatting with friend. The pancake is very sweet, but the smoked salmon is very delicious
T. L.
Weird seeing all these reviews about the food and coffee. Pre covid on the weekend and maybe midweek (not sure) evenings it’s a club. A proper full on rammed like sardines banging club night.
C. V.
The Book Club is a very nice bar in East London. You can have great coffee and tea in the afternoon, in the evening The Book Club is a great spot for to drinks! Oh, and you can also have a ping-pong game there!
J. H.
Lovely venue, nice layout but pretty expensive!
C. B.
Nice, trendy place with some great brunch options.
A. N.
As awesome as it was when it first opened many many years ago
N. C.
Perfect place for meeting friends/going on dates! The atmosphere is really fun and friendly - not at all pretentious or uncomfortable. It's particularly great if you want to be able to chat properly while enjoying good music and being surrounded by people. Staff are fab also! The mushroom dippers really hit the spot as well :)
H. C.
Lovely cocktails, nice open space. And wow, there's a ping-pong room. Music was a little loud for me and a the whole.place felt a bit trendy. Some people working in there with laptops but I was very impressed they could concentrate! Went for a hen do and they let us reserve a seating area which was nice. Would happily visit again!!
K. N.
Good value happy hour with chilled vibes, live DJ and very generously portioned food.
e. t.
Went for an evening coffee drink with my colleagues. The place is nice and spacious. It has sets of old school wooden tables and chairs. We sat near the street-level window which overlooks Leonard road. It was comfortable and quiet and we did enjoy our time there. Coffee was nice too.
C. T.
Loved it! Amazing flat whites; really quick service. Spacious, beautiful interior. Went just before 11am on a Saturday morning and appeared to beat the rush – got a table straight away. Pancakes with bananas and caramel sauce are possibly the best I’ve ever had. Affordable, too.
A.
Cool place with a cool vibe! Very attentive staff and covid measure were strictly respected. They have some fun cocktails! Place is spacious with lots of seating.
Will definitely come back again 👌
A. B.
A lovely place for some morning coffee, breakfast and work. If you go around 11 you might be too late to get a nice place.
F. F.
Real cool bar which I used in the past to interview people. It works real well as a mid-week disco. Awesome place!
A. N.
It was my first time there and it won’t be the last. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They did look after us. Thank you guys👋
V. M.
This place is great! The drinks are delicious, pizza is good and Milo and the team have the best energy! Can’t wait to come back
C. S.
Great Breakfast (I had the eggs on avocado toast) and Coffee! Cozy atmosphere!
t. b.
The book Club is a great place.
I have been there for a speed dating but I have not joint the event itself.
This gave opportunity to study social behaviours and the club itself.
It s kind of 70's, a bit psychedelic and it s warm, as colours and as atmosphere.
I regret the fact that I just crushed myself on the ergonomic sofa on weed. Instead I have should joined the event and find a good looking woman.
Apart from that..bathrooms are not separated .... :)
Next time I'll defenetely try to it hit the table.
Lovely atmosphere.
Thumbs up!
V. F.
I was at the dansing event, people were great - sound and lights were not. No lasers, but still it was quite a fun!
R. B.
Fantastic brunch overthere (and the best pancakes ever tasted) 😍
L. d. M.
I really like the food here, the coffee and drinks. People are friendly - including other customers - and the decoration is fun and hip. Staff behind the bar are OK, but lacking a bit of empathy. I've been here a few times and every time they seemed to be tired and doing me the favour to help - not rude, just not happy to be there. But I still like this place, the atmosphere and food here are worth a visit.
They also let well behaved dogs in, which is very nice.
L. E.
Always a reliable night, great staff, great cocktails, great music. Guaranteed good night out
B. W.
The best avocado toast I ever had, reasonable prices and nice coffee. Lady who was serving us was really nice and the place has got good vibe. Try to come earlier and grab a seat by the window.
M. J.
Excellent evening!!! With cool open mic and amazing crowd!!! We arrived here by accident, after a photoshoot, and my oh my the best night ever, the atmosphere, the vibe, the people!!! I've never been so in "the moment". Visit!!!!:))
M. J.
One of my favorite places to visit while in London. They’ve got great drinks, a unique atmosphere with programmed events you don’t find in most bars. A must place to go to if you’re into geek culture. They’ve got some games downstairs and events that relate to that scene. Friendly staff and cool place overall.
A. D.
This cafe and event space is an unusual and quirky, in a cool and busy area. We ate upstairs and went downstairs for a show. Upstairs is big and airy with great design/decor features. Downstairs is a basement but not too bad. It has a bar down there which is oddly really large, too big for the space. My favourite thing after the upstairs space are the wine glasses, gonna have to get me some of those!
M. N.
It’s an ok bar. The staff mixed up my burger with someone else’s and swapped them afterwards so it’s lucky I didn’t touch it... also the chicken burger was a bit bland but the fries and nachos were incredible.
Could have some better seating areas to fit more people/to fit the more comfortably.
Good prices.
B. T.
Funny cocktail bar mixed with a place where people studied or did work on their computers. But of course that is in the name. Prices wasn't that expensive and the facilities was fine. Quiet well visited. The mix of book club and cocktail bar though felt a bit wierd to me.
T. S.
If you feel like a calm evening with a mate or group of pals, this is ideal. Nice pub food and excellent nights on downstairs, including Imaginary Millions once a month. Very good location and even better photo booth. Enjoy.
M.
Nice venue great for mini events and a buzzing yet chilled vibe. Would definitely come back.
P. B.
Went here for brunch and the food was great. It was possible to make some changes to the dishes and the portions were big. I would like to add though that it seemed as if the waiters got their jobs because they look hipstery and not because of their service skills... Also there's a ping pong table and we wanted to have a go but they didn't have a ball. It's probably there more for looking trendy and cool then for the fun of it.
D. M.
Cocktails are outstanding, definitely this is their focus, although the price is higher than average. Overall atmosphere is ok, and there is plenty of things to do in case you can with your friends, although do not expect to talk there as music is too loud, so you hardly hear your voice. I've visited it in the evening, looks like this wasn't the best time. Food is also quite good but the choice is poor
A. S.
Above is a casual bar/restaurant, below is a menacing dance floor with great music. By day there is a fitness class down below and casual lunch bar above, by night it's a completely different animal.
Decently priced beverages - for London price at least. Good DJ at the time with a great speaker system. It loses a star because it's bathrooms are somewhat not kept in best condition and the bass is lacklustre for some of the beats played. The night out had classic R&M and Pop, nostalgic at best and great!
The crowd was trendy too, great mix od people, with my friends being at least a quarter. Cance battles have been won and lost! No fighting, all dancing!
L. R.
If you go in the afternoon, the atmosphere is very relaxed. You order from the counter and then go sit down somewhere. It kind of felt like a big family living room. There is WiFi and plugs. It’s a noisy living room, but I liked that. There is also a ping pong table, if you’re into that.
I. S.
Came here for lunch on a Friday... all tables were taken at the time, so had to wait a bit until we could grab a seat. Chilled vibe with people using their laptops and chatting to friends. Good WiFi connection. Tasty food and good coffees at reasonable cost. Friendly service. Lovely brick decor with art on the walls. Quite spacious inside. Really liked the wall full of potted plants at the entrance :)
Did not get the chance to play ping-pong this time, but good to know they have it :) Will be back!
J. C.
A nice place to chill out and make your "Second home" if you may.
It's got a lounge and study area for you to do some work if you want to, a bar for you to order some good food and drinks, and a ping pong table if you're up for a bit of fun.
I ordered their Big Breakfast and I'd say it's pretty worth it for £9 given the portion size.
It's a very open space which allows you to socialise with others as well, and the servers were quite friendly too.
The only thing that would make this place better would be to have it a little cleaner. The tables need to be cleaned more often as my table wasn't very clean with bread crumbs on one side of the table. The couch opposite me was also quite soiled which was a slight turn off.
Nevertheless, do give it a try if you're up for a bit of fun.
A. S.
A bit noisy when crowded but still a nice place to work(with free wifi and available for charging)
R. H.
This place has a nice atmosphere & menu, with some interesting exhibitions when we've passed through too.
If you want to stop for a coffee, I wouldn't recommend it. My coffee was cold, in a dirty cup, and the flavour was pretty poor. Then the music is so loud, we had to shout at each other the whole time. Overall, it just felt like they've got some pretty basic things wrong.
But perhaps other people like this...
P. *. G. S.
Went down in the basement dance area and had a good time. It got a little warm with all the hot, sweaty bodies grinding around but it was well worth it. I’d give this place 5 stars but my friend bit the dust while she was dancing and I don’t think she’d forgive me. There was an absolutely hilarious group of people running a limbo competition with a sweater...not all heroes wear capes, or their sweaters.
B. E.
Busy but not so much so that I couldn't find a table. Excellent lunch choices, delicious food!
M. D.
Great atmosphere and fun! I was particularly impressed by a bartender: she made (with lots of dedication) one of the best Negroni cocktail I have ever had.
There's a really good vibe throughout the place. Upstairs is great for chilled out conversations, downstairs is great for a dance (loved the light bulbs covering the ceiling). I had a really good night at The Book Club!
J. B.
Fond memories of working around the corner and having after work drinks and dancing at this place. Table tennis table always seems to be busy and isn’t worth waiting for; the balls are too light. Food is okay. Drinks are pretty good and music and DJs are usually pretty good after sundown.
L.
The night I went was great, funk & soul playing, nice people. Got a bit too hipster later on but that's what you expect in the area! Only reason I wouldn't say more than 3* is because it seems, from the promotional posters, that this place has various "nights" as such the atmosphere could very well be different any time you visit as there were posters for what seemed to be different events, DJs, themes, etc every week. Some of them definitely wouldn't be my tastes. Would advise checking to see what's on prior to visiting.
W. F.
Great decor and vibe inside. Very airy and spacious. Food is good and fresh. Once had to send back a cooked breakfast for being cold and they brought a while new fresh, hot one out without any bother. Also the presence of a table tennis table is a bonus :)
G. S.
Great place and plenty of sitting for brunch, the foods tasty, the staff are friendly but the service is patchy. We waited for 30 minutes for a breakfast, when asking the waiter when we could expect it, he told us that the kitchen was closed and he will give us a refund. That was pretty poor. As it was 3 and the menu said they serve it till 5...
M. E.
Amazing decoration, good music....but too crowded. Try to avoid the weekends, it´s just too crowded for actually enjoying the place. Haven´t tried much of the food, but their cocktails are good. One of the best things about this place is the different opitons it offers; you can play ping-pong, sit down (if you are lucky to get a spot) and chill, or head downstairs for some dancing.
s. m.
Not a lot to add to all the other reviews really- the Book Club is actually more of a playground than a club of any sort, let alone a club one.
Cool place, airy and light during the day, buzzing at night. You're lucky if you ever make it to the ping pong table!
Drinks are nice and reasonably priced, they have a very drinkable house white wine as well. Sharing platters are a good choice if you need to soak up the booze but would not vouch for the rest of the food.
K. W.
Splendid place !! Would highly recommend! Great place to meet people!!
V. P.
I do like The Book Club, it is a great place to meet your mates, but on a Saturday, you pay £5 entry and it is the same as any other night really (apart from music to dance to downstairs). The ping pong is a great idea but the tables are always busy!
Staff always look stressed but never rude! The drinks are pretty good too!
E. C.
Long slow queue to get in, service was dead slow and there wasn't an inch to move sometimes. Fair enough when you find your crowd and settle in the ambience is good and music is alright. It just can feel like too much work for it, depending on how you're used to party...
D. D. R.
Nice and diverse venue for drinks, food amd events. Cozy but noisy bar upstairs. They have the most random events on downstairs. Check out their calendar for more info. You will usually find something you havnt done or even heard of before. Good for getting out of your comfort zone while being entertained at the same time. Friendly staff.
E. A.
Nice atmosphere however pickpockets operate here! A guy opened my friends bag while we were on the dance floor. We only realised when he dropped her phone and ran. There was no security downstairs to report to...
E. J.
Really cool day time to night time cafe come bar with a lot going on.
The Book Club hosts all kinds of fun nights and the occasional vintage clothing stalls on the weekends which are always a great place to get chatting to new people, maybe even make a few new pals! With ping pong tables - and a night dedicated to the game - speed dating, DJ nights and for the more crafty of you, screen printing for reasonable prices it's a great place to head to if you're looking for something a little different to do with your friends.
The decor is that of a cool New York loft space, with constantly changing art on the walls which is usually available for purchase. The staff are really friendly and all of the food and drinks are of high quality, all while not breaking the budget.
E. C.
Nice venue with several different rooms. I've been downstairs to see the moth podcast a few times. Good selection of bar food and nice cocktails. They have an interesting programme of events from speed dating to spoken word. Would recommend for casual drinks dinner or interesting date night
D. Z.
Amazing place! You can order a drink and talk to your friends on the ground floor or you can dance on the lower ground floor! Drinks are good as well, would recommend the pineapple cocktail.
A.
Great place for a Sunday brunch in London. Especially if you don't want to mess around with queuing to eat somewhere. There's lots of space inside, order at the counter, food comes out really quickly and is really great. Only downside was the coffee which was watery.
M. B.
Fun place, great music and a ping pong table (don't lean on it, it's a bit...old). Reasonably priced drinks too. Went on a Wednesday and it wasn't overly busy; downstairs was closed for some filming of sorts. Good staff too.
W. R. (.
This is a great one-stop shop for your night out in east London. From tasty food upstairs, to table tennis downstairs and then a club offering up good beers and cocktails, and great music. They also have a private area if you want to book a party.
S. D.
Wouldn't wait in line to get in as it is not that level great. But good hangout spot with some trippy music downstairs. For celebrations you can rent a room downstairs or a table in the downstairs dance area. they do good nibbles.
M. K.
The Book club is a DOPE spot to catch a solid vibe and see/be a part of an eclectic and just feel-good night and/or event.
Not really experienced the Club during the Day; however what I've been told It's still pretty cool, intriguing and inviting.
N. T.
One of my favourite places to go when I feel like chilling with a friend or group! Calming atmosphere and music with a wide variety of drinks to choose from. Not to mention the aesthetic downstairs that's mostly forgotten about. Great for taking a few pics and having a little chat
N. B.
This review is for brunch. A great space to have brunch on a Saturday. I had scrambled eggs with feta and asparagus; my wife had the full English which she pronounced excellent.
For brunch itself I would give it five stars but I'm knocking off half a star for not having any gluten free toast which meant that the menu was mostly not available for me, and another half for a coffee which was not really up to the standards I've come to expect in Hoxton.
K. P. (.
This place is always busy so I always struggle to get a seat, despite there being rows upon rows of tables available. And yet I keep coming back. I've been here several times to meet friends for cocktails and go to the events downstairs. The cocktails are good and lots have funny names - Hello, 'Don't go to Dalston'! I'd say go for the atmosphere and stay for the evening if you manage to find a seat!
E. W.
It's a good cocktail bar that has gotten extremely popular meanin gits often over crowded and just too loud. We most recently went for brunch after wedding dress shopping. Staff just leave you to grab a table yourself - lots of people hogging a table for four while sipping a coffee. One girl barged her way past us, grabbed a table, sat their for 20 minutes without ordering a drink or food then just left, at which point we could finally sit down. It was so loud our order was taken down wrong but staff very apologetic and it was rectified quickly. I feel it's become a victim of its own success which is a shame. The food was tasty.
C. H.
Great fun, lovely atmosphere. Ping pong tables for drunken games. Only downsides were it closed at 12am on a Thursday and there was no cloakroom. Drinks were expensive, but it's central London, so to be expected. Beware of the unisex toilets though, don't be alarmed when you see a man walk out of the cubicle!
A. O.
I’d like to think of myself as a food connoisseur of sorts so believe me when I say this is the place to go! Had the full English, good portion, great taste! The chipotle smoked beans wants you to never revert back to normal baked beans that you get from any old caf’. Mushrooms and grilled tomato are good compliments to the rest of the dish.
Atmosphere is nice - well coloured and pictured walls, contrasting the blank canvas brick walls giving a visually pleasing look. Tables are in open space and not crammed together allowing for true relaxation and comfort whether with people or alone.
Defo coming here again- -
F. J.
Fun bar with plenty of seating and limited food menu. Just loud enough to be fun but still possible to carry a conversation. Ping pong table in one of the adjacent rooms. Good place to come with a small to medium size group of people.
S. D.
This place is versatile if nothing else. The hosted a great Jubilee street party, and it's a great place to go when it's not busy and enjoy a glass of wine. After ordering a cheese board and being told that the exact one wasn't on the menu, I was presented with a cheese board they had put together for me, with huge amounts of cheese on it! Needless to say, I was quite pleased.
L. B.
Really fun place to come chill after work although it does get a little hectic. Great selection of inventively named cocktails - would particularly recommend the grapefruit one! Ping pong table is great fun and good atmosphere and food options! Would recommend for a couple of drinks with good friends!
B. P.
Fun place with good cocktails and food. Seating is a bit strange. No booths or small tables, more like long cafeteria style tables.
Service was good. Bartenders very sweet and the food was fresh and clean
S. D.
Classic english breakfast 10/10 would London again, it has a great vibe and the service is really good. I really really really really really recommend this place I honestly have had a great time here. After eating this food on your way to work you will feel really happy and good about yourself !!!!!
J. S.
Loved the funky vibe and creative selection of cocktails. Should try out the others in the menu next time. Staff were stringent on the ID checks which was good practice.
T. K.
Cool bar. I'm not sure why it's called book club though!

One of the social centre of Shoreditch. It has everything that makes this area so great. An informal cool, friendly staff, a casual ground floor to chill and drink or play ping pong and a club to dance in the basement afterwards. Love it.
M. H.
Great service, fantastic cocktails. Wonderful deals and a really nice environment and atmosphere. All within gov Guidelines in consideration to Covid-19
A.
Staff are lovely. Came for weekend breakfast and quality of avocado for £7 was very poor. Mushy, not fresh (dark green shown in photo) and lacked flavour. Disappointing :(
R. A.
I really like the book club: Good food menu, great selection of drinks and a really friendly atmosphere. They have a pingpong table, and a fantastic and wide selection of events on all the time. Although be warned, if you're coming here on a Friday or Saturday night out either get here early, book table or expect to queue for a long time to get in!
L. T.
Good for groups with large portions for a fair price.
P. B.
The Book Club is a nice standard bar with good cocktail choices. I wouldn't recommend it for a cozy evening as the rooms are quite spacious and very loud.
M. P.
Nice place to visit and there is a great ping ping table. Prices were not too bad for London but I would not visit here to ready a book ! It is so noisy the walls just echo the noise everywhere which is a real shame as we loved the atmosphere.
A. W.
LOVE this place. New renovations look amazing too, always well taken care of here!
G. S.
Enjoyed it more than I thought I would! £10 to get it, which is a bit strange around Shoreditch, and the main floor is a little empty though it's a good area to chat and catch your breath. All happens downstairs where you can vibe in the low ceiling basement to a mix of music. Mainly rap, electro and stuff. Worth a visit!
M. D.
Edit: fair enough the management recognise their error and have done something about it
Terrible event for royal wedding. Got greedy and had way too many people in there. Queue for the bar was insane. Couldn't move at all. No sound for the broadcast which was awful... the crowd were booing the staff. Technical stuff should have been prepped way before people arrived. People were listening to the event with their phones to thier ear. Never again.
K. G.
I've been to The Book Club a few times and it's nice - but not amazing. One thing they have got right is the decor - it's really interesting, especially if you go downstairs. There, they have a whole ceiling decorated with lightbulbs which looks super.
However, things I don't like are the fact that this place is a victim of its own success and is always rammed. There's not really much value in them having nice furniture if you never actually get to sit in it. Also - they have a minimum spend of 10 quid on cards which is super annoying. Don't forget your cash (or just drink the free water).
Ultimately though, I'll be coming back because the saving grace of The Book Club is that they put on a really lively, interesting range of events. The last time I visited was for a Future Human talk about body hacking which was pretty unique.
c.
Pretentious menu and clientele, though that being said the prices are reasonable and the food looked good. The queue for the bar was disorganized chaos when we went and wait times to be served were long. Would probably give it another try during the day to see if it's better.
R.
Come here every month for the Imagainary Millions event. IT IS AWESOME. Highly recommend. Watch open mic hip hop, spoken word, rap, singing, poems, dancing performed on stage with a band that improvise on the spot.
I. S.
The food was delicious and reasonably priced, the coffee was satisfactory as well but the organisation of the place was hectic. My friend and I had to go on a scavenger hunt for the menu and though the staff are friendly, I believe The Book Club would benefit from starting to do things more by the book.
B.
Good place to have drinks upstairs it's more like a pub you sit and chat or play table tennis downstairs there's a reasonably good open dance floor, it does get packed at some point... Drinks were abit on the expensive side but overall had a good time
L. D.
Nice atmosphere, decent food, easy to find
D. S.
Great atmosphere even on weekday nights! They have an awesome gin cocktail menu as well as a ping pong table.
Cool interior as well in the basement (dancw floor).
D. D.
Nice place, good wifi and tasty food. But the music is very loud! Forget working or having a conversation, your eardrums actually start hurting after a while. Is it done on purpose so that people do not stay here too long?
C. W.
Went saturday evening, great vibe, brilliant music downstairs, DJ was great and the drinks were suitably priced. Nice area upstairs too for more chill vibe.
A. S.
Want to go somewhere is cracking tunes, an excellent Gin & Tonic, and a chance to challenge your friends to an epic table tennis battle? Well The Book Club is THE place to go. Amazing atmosphere, super friendly bar staff, quirky design and did I mention the table tennis...?
P. B.
Went to a talk held here. When we arrived we weren't really sure where the talk was since all we could see was a bar, but when the time came it turned out it was behind a second door downstairs, and the room was amazing
The ceiling is made up of old light bulbs and lit from behind which creates a really strange glowing effect. Some of the walls are knocked down and left bare and there's another bar behind the stage so you don't have to walk far between lectures for a pint.
Really odd venue, but I like it.
Y. A.
Fine, although they forgot my order and didn’t have the various things that I wanted from the menu. Seems like it would be a good place to work, cafeteria style vibe rather than cosy etc. Only have soy and almond milk as well, when I think oat has become a pretty popular alt milk choice in this neighbourhood-at least, it’s my fav. 🙂
R. K.
Cool spacious interior, had a lovely well flavored soup. However it's not clear you have to order at the bar and bar staff is a bit arrogant. Toilets were not taken care of.
M. s.
Nice little space. The prices aren't too outrageous and the location is fab
o. m.
Ok, the book club.
So naturally this is not my usual haunt, I am normally the kind of guy that likes to frequent a bar or pub that has a friendly atmosphere. The day my hipster partner in crime decided she wanted to introduce me to one of her old stomping grounds I fully expected to arrive at a place with some beardy bloke typing his memoirs, wearing skinny jeans and drinking Peruvian ale from a flagon.
But instead it was just lots of young hipsters in training. They even have a ping-pong table, in a sort of little offshoot room by the Karzi. There is a downstairs, but I did not venture there. As upon arrival I got the distinct sense that they felt the presence of a non believer.
You know in a movie, when the protagonist walks into an establishment, and all eyes turn to him and the room quietens. That's exactly what happened.
All rather amusing as little hipster chick sashayed on in like she owned the place and noone batted an eyelid.
So as I sat, and wondered at the choice of pictures on the wall, I looked around, and noticed that they serve food.
Which upon inspection seemed rather edible.
I probably would have eaten the food here had I been hungry, but instead we had a couple drinks.
The barman, who was initially a little surly, warmed to me eventually, but I think he may have just been having a bad day, because his ire was not aimed solely at me.
The drinks being what they are were ok. The venue was, ok. The patrons, a surprising mix of young and trendy, young and geeky and bewildered stumblers.
A strange place in a strange spot. I would never have found it if I wasn't shown. And I don't feel as though that would have been a great loss for me.
Go here if you are young and vibrant and all that other jazz, but if you are old and crochety like me, find yourself a nice pub.
M. D.
Very cool bar. I enjoyed the atmosphere. I went once for an event IGN was putting on there (maybe it was another one of those gaming websites, but I think it was IGN) and we had a Mario Kart tournament in the basement. It was a lot of fun!
D. T.
The best club for Shabba carnival party 🥳
R. D.
So much fun, great music and decor. Went for a late night
N. R.
Great venue and ever friendly crowd, over two floors of fun. Upstairs is for chill and chat mingling. Downstairs is for low ceiling bopping and dancing, to creatively ace DJ's. Depending on the week, could be tush wiggling House, old-skool Hip hop, Reggae, or all on the same night! Emphasis is always on groove, funk and fun!
H. S.
Been here a few times, recently had a reservation for large party which they easily accommodated downstairs in club (although I'd have preferred to have been located upstairs). I did however try to pre-ordwr a platter for everyone, but after emails & calls over couple of days, no one at TBC came back to me! I thought that was pretty poor customer service. Lots of us ended up ordering bar food on the night & they catered to us fine, pretty quick turn around. Bouncer downstairs was really good, helped my friend get his wallet back (who'd left it at the bar).
E. C.
Affordable drinks and happy vibes
C. G.
Great option for a party. You can reserve an area or hire a space with your own section of bar for £100. Brilliant music nights ranging from pop to swing and there's ping pong!
C. T.
As other people have said - it's so good because of the events. There's always something unusual (my housemate's just started some life drawing there and seems very happy with it all), and I went to a media-land talk there (though they do much more exciting ones). The bulb ceiling was really lovely downstairs and the upstairs was really fresh and nice, though it had a funny kind of vibe when I went which might be related to how ridiculously busy it was (though that's not surprising). Pick an unusual event and go.
R. L.
Awesome spot for a leaving do, night out, lunch or dinner. That's a downstairs which holds a different vibe. The art work on the walls upstairs. Make sure you come out here at least once.
M. R. A.
I love your art macabre events. Cosy bar with many other great events. I would love to be able to have a drink while drawing, can you please open the downstairs bar next time around? Other than that, keep doing what you are doing :)
K. D. W.
Nice place to have a drink with friends!
A. D.
I've been here many times on friday/saturday nights and it's always good. I mainly go for the relaxed vibe and good music. The drinks are all reasonably priced &i It never fails to disappoint.
I. T.
A bit dissapointed. Staff were unfriendly and mixed up our order, serving it to another table instead. This could be easily solved by having numbered placeholders given out upon ordering. Food was good, but fo the price I would not return. Staff did compensate us for the mixup.
T. C.
Music is selected beyond the basis of "what is in the charts right now" which is more than can be said of other bars.
Good cocktails at a fair price. Decently trained and friendly staff, nice food.
All round good place.
T. E.
big fan of this place. consistently fun atmosphere and good music downstairs. not over or under priced for the area and if you can get on the ping pong table you're onto a winner.
R. M.
Good and central place with free wifi and well located for meetings in Old Street. It's a very relaxed place aimed for the creative industry. The deco is a mix of old, vintage and very colourful. Nice coffee and good service. recommended.
G. R.
Good place for lunch during the week. You pay before eating so you don't have to wait at the end of the lunch while running late to go back to the office.
Menu is good, great chilled atmosphere.
J. N.
Over two floors. 10 to get in. Music was good. Pretty much R&B hip hop and commercial tracks. Closes about 3 am. A little early for me. However nowhere else closed later in the area.
T. F.
Fun bar with drinks, food and and games and plenty to do inside. I've only been whem it's been very busy which has lead to a difficulty getting between the basement and groind level - should stress that I had a great time regardless. Cloakroom was only a quid as well - very reasonable for London/Shoreditch!
E. A.
Great Venue Space, Good priced drinks and atmosphere. However DJ mix on the Friday night wasnt that great - could have been more varied (few repeated tracks etc), other than that, great experience.
K. J.
Great spot whether you are solo or meeting some friends! Tasty, well priced food and coffee in a chill, relaxing atmosphere! The staff is super sweet!
S. M.
Really fun place that seems to always have something going on. Make sure to get the dark and spicy. I was served by a very friendly French girl with an astounding knowledge of Harry Potter and Star Wars.
C. F.
I don't remember much about it, but I believe I had an excellent time. They seem to have some good events on, so perhaps I should revisit this review after I go to their poetry night this week.
J. N.
Really strong array of talented performers at the poetry nights. Good location too. Wish there were a greater variety of spirits at the bar.
J. D.
Good place to work. However, was let down by the food. I ordered the chicken burger and was very ill afterwards. Also, the skinny fries are far from skinny - just regular pub size chips.
D. F.
I really do like this place. Not just for its great location but it has many cool events for all different kinds of people. It also has one of my favourite past times which is a free ping pong table! Result!
L. S.
The club was absolutely wicked, top place to tun up and mash up. Cheap entry fee, the only downfall is thy could do with some air con. Other than that I would recommend this to anyone who wants to have great fun and skank a leg. A massive shout out to DJ Murlo
Drinks were reasonable price
Tunes were on point old skool classic Caribbean Soca, Bashment with a great mix of grime and afro beats.
R. W.
Worked for the day and had decent wifi and plenty of seats but a little uncomfortable. Looks much better for alcohol with a decent beer and cocktail selection but the coffee wasn't great - luke warm flat white without a great flavour.
A. D.
Spacious and relaxed. The food is lovely but it's also fine to just sit in and have a drink. Decent beer selection. Order at the bar.
G. G.
Fun club for in the late evening. We went to the basement which has an acceptable size dancefloor. Various styles of music playing but really entertaining throughout the night.
J. L.
Great place to go in the day for a chilled vibe and actually read a book. In the evening g it turns into a buzzing bar with a dance floor downstairs in the basement. Very cool place to go with great drinks albeit on the pricier side.
h. m.
I stumbled upon this social food hub by accident one day running around London.
The most interesting was its atmosphere alive and comfortable, but what really impressed me was the meal i ordered; what you wondering? ''the risotto ' it was in expensive and tasted amazing.
But do not take my word go and check it out and if not for food, the cool events they host.
thank you
Haroun Masoet
Cape Town
A. V.
Good party place. Cocktails are very tasty. The only thing I would suggest is to find out who is playing that night. Sometimes you can get a very good DJ, and sometimes it can be not so good.
L. S.
Great cocktails and finger food. The only downside was the bar service was slow. Not great when you miss the end of happy hour waiting in line.
k. R.
Best night out! amazing music and staff!
J. R.
Nice vibe and good music. Reasonable drink selection and ok food. The food looks better than it tasted but it's not too bad. A bit on the noisy side and very uncomfortable chairs so not a place to sit and chat to long
V. S.
Can't go wrong on a night out there. Bar upstairs and dance floor downstairs. Just the right crowd and in the heart of Shoreditch. One of my staples on a Friday or Saturday!
J. G.
So. Freaking. Loud. It's a fun environment, but is quite full-on. I've been here many times with friends and have never had a bad time. That said, I've always been very happy to leave, too.
D. C.
[Fri & Sat Evening] Been here a couple of times in the last month and had a cracking evening both times. Music downstairs was excellent (reggae, Dub, dance hall) and drinks are varied and reasonable.
D. V.
I used to be a frequent client on Thursday’s night for ping pong and dancing... Came today, Friday night and was surprise with the burguer. Very good. Nice environment
A. O.
Don't confuse The Book Club with The Breakfast Club. Whilst one is a chain of popular hipster brunch places in East London with a love of puns, a bar and the initials TBC the other is a single popular hipster brunch place in East London with a love of games, a bar and the initials TBC.
The Book Club is tucked away down a side street next door to the Pure Evil Gallery street art gallery. On my way there I saw at least 2 iPhone-toting hipsters trying to find it.
The food is good (albeit standard hipster brunch fare) and the portions are plentiful. The wifi is free and the decor is restrained. They've even managed to resist the urge to pack tables into every available space. All this adds up to an ambience that's relaxed and friendly. This is just the kind of place where you can tuck yourself away in a corner with a cup of tea (they'd run out of hot chocolate when I visited) and work on your writing.
D. G. F.
Go go go go! I had an incredible time down there and specially in their lower floor I will wait for you to see it! Staff was nice, drinks were to the normal London standard and the crowd was up for a good time!
J. F.
Mal was such a star in making sure we had the best experience. Thanks Mal!
Z. Y. (.
Great time there enjoying the food and drink, as well as the ping pong ;)
Z. C.
Retro music. Played nineties and naughties hip hop ... r and b and dance hall. Two bars. The wait was never that long to get a drink. Good atmosphere
M. M.
absolutely love the book club
its an all day hangout
really good when theres a group of you as you can just order your meals at the bar
no waiting around dividing up the bill after
small but great menu
just go!
S. D.
I love this place. The windows are full of fairy lights, the hallway has a tube style map telling you where to find the ping pong room, cocktails include the 'Shoreditch Tw**' and 'Don't Go To Dalston' (nothing like a bit of self-awareness, eh?) and it's the perfect place for either a big boozefest or a chilled out few drinks while you play Scrabble, although it can get very sweaty at the weekends.
The Book Club also host great events downstairs. I went to my friend's Speed Listening event - where you make up a playlist of 5 songs, then swap with a stranger. I came home with a few new friends and lots of new songs. Events vary from spoken word nights (much more fun than they sound) like Let Me Tell You All About Me to 90s indie disco. What are you waiting for, really?
P. G.
I just expected different atmosphere, when I saw the name. However, it is more like a pub.
Clean, food was tasty, great cocktails!
G. V. G.
Cozy bar and friendly staff. It even has a table-tennis table!
J. T.
The book club is a nice venue to socialize and have networking events. Drinks are normally priced. However, the downstairs area might look more like a basement than anything.
B. C.
The food was good, the staff was nice, but they should have more people working in the kitchen. We waited over 40 minutes for a granola and a toasted bread with avocado...
R. A.
Went there for brunch and the food was incredible!! Totally recommend for food and even for a few drinks. Amazing place!!
B. S.
The occasionally hosted crap film club down stairs is a good unusual evening, with full bar and snacks
R. B.
A lively place that offers up a mix of art exhibitions, club nights, poetry slams, thinking, and drinking. It’s so good because of the events - there’s always something unusual happening there. It is also much less book-wormy than the name suggests. Ping-Pong, Board Games and Pool all help ease the cultural shot.
#WeHeartHitchcock
M. M.
Relaxed during the day and fun at night. Excellent selection of tequila and they do a great tequila and tonic. Not too shoreditchy. Staff are friendly and DJs good. Great place to head with friends.
R. W.
I went to see the Mighty Boosh photos which were good. Other than that it's a standard Shoreditch venue with expensive food served in unusual receptacles and a table tennis table. They were nice to my kids.
P. J.
Came for lunch with colleagues. The food was good and portion sizes was decent, but I was shocked by the cheeky pricing of their Caesar salad, which is an extra £2 for halloumi (not clearly marked), making it pretty expensive for what you get.
C.
Went for a book launch downstairs, really cool space and the guy on the bar was lovely. Reasonably priced drinks as well ☺️
N. P.
Fun place with great memories. Upstairs area is a bar like space with ping pong table, DJ and seats; downstairs area is a club like, pumping dancefloor.
T.
Free WiFi, tasty hot snacks, great for a quick bite to eat or to work with a laptop. They have a pool table and rooms downstairs for DJ nights.
F. S.
Very expensive drinks and super busy on nights out. However has a groovy dance floor if you get there a bit early great place to go for a boogie.
T. H.
Food is great! However, the ordering system does not work and is not efficient at all. They try to make it simple by not having waiters but make it more complex by not knowing which order goes where.
J. F.
Music is mostly RnB with a few chart hits and 80s music. There's table football and table tennis for those who want to play. Additionally, there's a basement club which houses a DJ.
There are tables and lounge area on the ground floor for those want to chill and relax.
C. R.
Love. Love the interior. Love the artworks displayed. Love the food. Love the coffee.
J. O. T.
Interesting place to visit, and a must to experience in Shoreditch, you queue and pay for meal order in advance and pick a seat, i love the long table where you can randomly sit in front or beside new people, its a Googler hip place alright but for all open minded ages, not just millenials, would recommend, had better veggie burgers but great beer selection and cool walk in art room, bar staff friendly and welcoming, you can grab your order from the chef countee on a busy night...
J. B.
Such a great place! Perfect for a relaxed brunch, coffee in a cosy sofa or playing ping pong with friends. Also really nice downstair during the night.
M. Y.
Great Hipster bar and restaurant, they have a ping-pong room, the avocado toast was amazing 🙌🏽😝 also is a contemporary art gallery.
F. B.
This place pretty much does everything extremely well; coffee, breakfast, lunch, cocktails, art classes and the night out arnt too shabby if you can get in...AND it has a ping pong table... V cool
R. F.
It's good place for a fun night out. Get there earlier rather than later as the queue gets long and it gets quite busy inside. Fun dance floor!
C. K.
A quirky, buzzing bar with an usual line-up. Speed-dating, ping-pong and even the odd garage night. Not sure if they actually have a book club but definitely worth a look if you fancy something different.
S.
One of those places that you can come at any time and still get a great experience whether it is study for a test, eat a light lunch, drink after work, or dance the night away. I wish the bathrooms be a bit more taken care of.
M. L.
Quirky venue. Interesting events downstairs. Only attend events if you have tickets. If you turn up on the day you are highly unlikely to be given admittance. Worth a visit if you are in that part of town.
M. H.
On 31th of May I'm planning to go to a lunchtime disco, hosted by Jess Indeedy. I'm looking forward visiting this nice club. Some of my friends are going to come too. And I'm sure the day will be exciting.
m. a.
It's good for birthdays and celebratory events. Well made drinks and decent service. It's not a place I'd go to just chill with friends.
O. W.
More than your average Shoreditch bar, the Book Club is a cracking good place for food, drinks and so much more. Hosting a variety of events and nights from life drawing classes in the basement (one of the best I've ever been to in London, with a really chilled out vibe), electro swing nights and a whole host of different things going on.
M. K.
Cool place, interesting cocktails and nice beers!
R. S.
The breakfast menu has delicious food, good prices & generous portions! We weren't so enticed by the dinner menu, but the drinks are fun anyway!
F. V.
One of my favorite Bar/club in London : Always good music and cheep entrance price! I saw Mr Thing one time : it was the best night ever !!
B. G.
Pretty cool place. Wild dance room/bar downstairs, ping pong and chill bar upstairs. 4 stars from a visiting American.
S. “. H.
Haha! Great music. I danced my tush off! And was approach by a rather handsome young man. Everyone was friendly and wanted to dance. I would go again.
R. M.
Once the hallowed and frankly brilliant Home bar which helped put Shoreditch on the bar and pub scene, book club has a lot too live up to, and frankly it fails.. It has all the right elements ping pong table decent food and its still an excellent space, but some how the magic in the bricks has gone
They do some excellent events downstairs but overall its not really my kind of place
R. v. d. B.
Perfect place to relax and have a cup of coffee. Place is nicely decorated (industrial). If you like speed dating, you should definitely visit this place (Tuesday). Service is ok.
J. T.
Every time I've been here I can't help but think this is the acceptable face of east london to people who live west. Why do you have to pay to enter? Why is the bar the smallest bar in london, forcing you to spend most of the night waiting to buy a drink. Plenty of other places to go that are much mich better.
L. Z.
Best pancakes I had so far in London! Relaxing atmosphere, table tennis and cool little gallery inside. Love it!
M. C.
My favourite club in Shoreditch area. Really nice atmosphere and nice people. If you can put your name in the guest list to avoid the queue.

This is a quick stop, great food! I o came up with 4 because no one welcomed us and we wandered around a bit lost on ordering or menus etc.
E.
Great music and drinks are pretty cheap for Shoreditch. Dancefloor area downstairs can get too ram packed and hot though.
A. B.
Staff is super nice! Lovely cocktails! Great ambience
J. M.
Fun cocktail bar in Shoredich. Good for a night out on Friday and Saturday. Would be good for a date on a weeknight. Good selection of food and cocktails.
A. J.
Fantastic meal. One of the best I've had. Definitely one of my beloved London restaurants. Extremely expensive but for that very special meal I like it very much......
S.
Very spacious and lovely place. Free-wifi, friendly staffs as well as air conditioning! This cafe is good place to work in.
S. F.
Amazing place, fantastic staff and brilliant cocktails. The burgers was the icing on the cake. Love it
N. l.
Great music and friendly crowd, nice for a chilled night if you just looking to have a drink and dance. Really enjoyed myself
M. T.
Cool venue, but waited about 20mins for some cocktails and it wasn't even that busy. It was a Wednesday night though so suspect fewer staff were on.
C. C.
Okay so while the place and decoration are nice the wifi is slower than most, the food is not agreeing with my stomach (and judging by some reviews I’m not the only one) and there is no service so you have to get up and leave your stuff unattended all the time.
S. A.
I went to the Book Club for drinks after work on a Friday. Good atmosphere and not too busy. They have a table tennis table
V. V.
Great modern pub with good upbeat music in the heart of Shoreditch. Get there before 9pm so that you don't have to wait in serpentine lines.
M. T.
Nice place, I been there around 11 am for a quick snack whit my daughter, I like the urban style. For sure to enjoy in the evening whit more vibe, but highly recommend for a break
C. C.
Really fun place to go with friends. They've got table tennis table and feasball table. Huevos Rancheros is really goo!md! Recommended! 6/10
C. C.
Brunch was good. The place is very simply decorated, basic menu and drinks list but value for price.
R. L.
This is both a great night out and a great day venue.
The ping pong is great fun and the 'make your own' bloody mary's make a perfect Sunday cure.
G. L. P.
The Book Club is much less book-wormy than the name suggests. Ping-Pong, Board Games and Pool all help ease the cultural dose. That and the cocktails.
The Queen of Hoxton massif has been at it again with this witty, more intellectual counterpart and its wall of books. A Victorian warehouse in a former life, TBC is set across two expansive floors; downs you’ll find a basement with a light bulb ceiling that looks like a fluffy cloud. It’s a place to eat, drink, dance and think your heart out. Eclectic entertainment comes in the lively form of club nights, film, mind-expanding talks, workshops, exhibitions and weekly arts and cultural events.
Whether you’re looking for an early morning breakfast or are in search of an elusive nightcap, or just want to blame it on the boogie, The Book Club can cater to your every need.
Note to self: the venue holds a yearly street party cheekily called Bookstock, which is an opportunity for the local and wider community to enjoy a free party with big names bands and DJs. Dates are always TBC.
Thanks for the tip off: John Brearley
A. B.
Excellent brunch place - love their waffles and a cheeky Aperol Spritz.
A.
Good music, friendly bar staff but my god does it get hot downstairs.... I'll bring a spare t-shirt on my next visit
K. R.
Great cocktails, but I specially love to go there because they have a ping-pong table!
Z. W.
The name confuses, 'Book' sounds like only freaks go there the club is quite cool. They provide a lot of good games and entertainments while you eat and drink, it's great.
L. B.
Amazing service, very attentive hostesses! And wonderful cocktails and food. 😌
J. G.
It's ok for meetings during the day but not super exciting. Pretty average coffee. Can be fun of an evening
D. P.
Great ambiance and drinks! I went when there was happy hour (prices are decent).
G. B.
This is one of the coolest places in Shoreditch, great events , signature cocktails, music , nice folks all around , you can experience what east end entertainment means to its fullest
A. A.
Just had a cocktail and wedges while working but a great space with wifi, good vibes, charging points and friendly staff. Would definitely go back
M. B.
We came here on a sunday morning expecting to read a couple of books and relax but we turned up to a basement rave full of 30 year old chequered shirts at 10am. John wasn't impressed and demanded he played table tennis with one of them. He played him and won and then slept with him.
C.
Food was lovely but I wouldn't be in a rush to go back. Wanted to remove 2 items from the breakfast and they wouldn't substitute it with another item. Little bit pricey.
I. C.
Cool people, good music and an amazing atmosphere!
The price for the drinks is a bit high.

I can't say anything about the food, because I've not sampled it, and the beer selection isn't great - but there's a friendly atmosphere and they run an interesting series of events.
K. M.
