This Fullers pub is a relatively new addition to the Smithfield Market area, only opened in 1999 and a combination of a former bank and a wholesale meat supply shop next door. The interior is large and has been tastefully styled as a traditional pub, with a spiral staircase leading to a large upstairs balcony, providing a nice view of St Bart’s Hospital across the square. In addition to the usual Fullers’ offerings, it also serves Seafarers and Hophead on draught. A pleasant pub but I prefer its older, more authentic rivals.

A really friendly pub near to the entrance of Smithfield. Excellent pint of London Pride as well as a reasonably priced sharing platter. Sadly there were no pies to sample on Friday except the cauliflower hence the 4*

A great pub with a grand setting, loads of lovely, slightly over the top features including pictures, mezzanine, chandeliers and decorative tiling. Great fun, terrific selection of beers and wines. I'm sure the food is great too but I didn't try. The most intimidating aspect is the "well used" Butchers hook and cleaver! Note to self: Probably best not to fall out with the landlord. A wonderful visit, I recommend to all.

A five star pub in the Old Bailey area of London. We had 2 meals whilst in London and the fish and chips where a must in a London Pub. Ticked off a must do on my list. Oh and look for this pub in the up and coming new Transformers 5. This was first week in Oct. They were filming right in front and gossip has it Mark Wahlberg dropped in for a coldie and chatted to the staff whilst filming. Where did you hear it? You heard it from me :)

A very nice pub close to Smithfield Market. Drop in for a meal or a pint in this historic part of London, where many men, including William Wallace, have met their destiny (memorial at St. Bart's 100 yds). It's a Fuller's Pub, which means good ales and a great range to choose from. Food is what you expect from a pub like this and will definately get you through the day. If you are in the area, don't miss it!

Had a couple of nights in here on a recent trip to London. Bar staff friendly and professional. Serve excellent beer (Fullers London Pride was the best I've had). On the second night we tried the local pies which were lovely and served nice and quickly. It seems a busy pub which didn't stop the service at the bar being very quick. Well worth a visit.

Great pub , awesome window boxes and hanging baskets displaying well kept flowers. Super traditional pub vibes and the staff always seem to know your there waiting for a beer and serve you promptly. The food is a bit grim though.

Great evening, excellent service coupled with delicious food - small plates: scotch egg made with black pudding, beef brisket tacos, sticky chicken wings, perfectly cooked squid in a light batter. Fantastic. Only gripe £6.15 for a pint of Meantime Anytime IPA.

I've enjoyed many an after-work drink at this pub - a good vibe (especially for the city), nice selection of beers on tap, and plenty of space to sit. Not as packed or loud as many of the after-work venues, and I'd highly recommend as a meet-up place for those working centrally. Lovely décor as well!

A typical Fuller's pub a stone's throw from Smithfield market. Has a familiar decor that most of the pubs fashion themselves on. I believe this used to be a bank but maybe wrong. Beers were good quality so no complaints although it was the usual fare with one guest ale on cask. I also had the beef and onion pie which was decent, a touch pricey for what you get but it is London so I shouldn't be surprised.

I go here for lunch at least once a week. Their regular dishes are always well prepared and a safe bet. They also have a special pie each week of which many have been true masterpieces. The staff is lovely and very welcoming. Always a pleasure to go back.

Went here for the annual Christmas lunch. While decent food, the costs - even for London - struck me as exorbitant for the quality of the meal received. The main meat was dry and overcooked, the vegetables tasteless, and even the potatoes were mealy, with little flavour. While the company was good, I can't say I woukd go back to this location again.

The overall experience was alright. Seemed a bit daft as we later got abruptly moved from an area we we're in from 4pm, to being told me had to move now as it was reserved. I was in the pub trade for many years. Seems silly not to have come round and told us the area would need to be vacated. The chap who told us to move was pretty rude by all accounts as were the party. Shame as my work party would have continued to spend money, which we then did elsewhere. Poor management all around really.

Fullers eating house on two levels selling a great London Porter amongst other good beers. In the historical area of St Bart's hospital and Smithfield Market, this is a popular location. Old Smithfield church hidden, but a must visit. Food menu caters for pub grub and it's okay. Attentive staff. Best approached on foot. Groups are catered for by arrangement.

The Butcher's Hook & Cleaver is a lively pub, full of suits, the odd techy and a few random locals. During sporting events they put up the big screen which is visible from pretty much most of the pub. Staff friendly, place to go after a hard week at work.
