A.Snuck a visit on one of their quiet days, but looks like a great venue for hiring. Staff are friendly, the venue is spacious and the terrace seems suitable for all seasons.

S. V.Had a wonderful evening here, amazing cocktails and such polite and attentive staff, with a perfect manner. Truly going out of their way to make sure you have a positive experience. It was a great atmosphere which is really hard to achieve when you're outside- totally nailed it and would say it's the best evening I've had during this episode of outdoor dining.
The food is exceptional with amazing size portions, quick service, hot and ridiculously tasty and authentic. Such a little gem of a restaurant! Never thought I'd be craving cauliflower this much so will definitely be returning.

A. O.An excellent venue for a celebration! I organised my birthday party on the ground floor and we had an amazing time throughout. The venue is spacious, decorated quite nicely, has a separate dancing area with an excellent sound and lighting setup. My friends did DJ ing all evening. The staff was very helpful and took the experience to the next level. Everyone including me greatly enjoyed every single moment there, could not have imagined a better birthday party...

W. W.I’m really pleased with the food. The burrata dish was especially amazing. The cheese was creamy and the combination with the toasted bread and tomato salad was absolutely amazing.
The staff were super friendly but perhaps were we set was a bit out of view, we found it was slow to get served and it’s hard to get the attention from the waiters.

There was an issue with the music at the beginning of the party but it was resolved quickly. The barmen were very attentive and happy to help. A. H.We did the bottomless brunch yesterday and it was excellent! Service was perfect- constantly offering refills, choices of drink for the bottomless were great, and the food was soooo good! Portion sizes were quite big which is actually needed with a bottomless brunch. The setting of the terraces was really nice and soo warm! I’d 100% come here and do it all again!
J. G.Me and my husband had our wedding celebration here. The staff were wonderful, never complaining about our drunken guests falling asleep or our loud heavy music towards the tail end of the night. Our only regret is not hiring the full venue as we would have loved to have the beautiful balcony on the top level. We also ordered a number of food items that were purposefully put together as vegan options and weren’t originally on the menu but were lovely. Our favourites were the mushroom skewers, vegan sweet potato burgers and fish and chips (non vegan). Overall a lovely venue and caring bar staff/managers/chef.

Jamie our waiter was sweet and checked on us all the time. Food was nice - met the chef who is Italian and knows his food. Lots of processco! Great night. Overall 10/10.

WERDJS was booked for a 30th birthday party last week and the customer was really impressed with our service and was over the moon with this venue. Staff was very helpful and always on hand if needed.

G. A.I cannot recommend The Chapel Bar enough. They obviously can’t do the functions at the moment so have opened it up for small bookings. They have a really nice heated and covered roof terrace. They’ve also got a really nice new Italian menu. My steak was cooked to perfection and really tasty but it all looked nice. Service was impeccable, staff really friendly and really nice ambience. Good place for a birthday if anyone’s looking for something to do.

They were very informative about hiring out the Bar in the beginning and were attentive to everything I required. N. B.The restaurant, food, drink and service are all amazing. They also do a brunch which looks amazing so will definitely be going back for that. The staff couldn’t do enough for us and the whole experience was brilliant. They also have a lovely outdoor heated terrace which kept us warm all evening.

It did seem however they were quite understaffed, only 1 person behind the bar which meant out drinks took a while to come and the wait staff looked absolutely run off their feet. Z. N.We hired the Chapel Bar for a surprise birthday party for our sons 40th on 11/5/2019. I liaised with Luke who was very helpful and knowledgeable, he explained all of the services which were available and was very easy to contact.
Ordering the food was a simple task and it was very reasonably priced, several of the guests praised the lamb wraps and the overall quality of the food.
On the night of the party the bar staff were very helpful and pleasant, even though they were very busy, they offered to refill party favours and nothing was too much of a problem for them.
The 2 door men were also very helpful, not only did they stop people coming in but they were keeping an eye out for the guests.
Overall I would recommend this venue, nothing was too much of a problem for the staff, all of the staff were pleasant and helpful, if I have another function I would definitely use the Chapel Bar again.

Visited this place last weekend with a friend for the brunch and loved it, the food was awesome, great wine, the service was brilliant - super friendly and efficient. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! and the outside terrace is lovely - covered and heated so perfect for a fresh, sunny Sunday afternoon!

The team were brilliant from start to finish, the booking process was very straightforward and communication with Luke was seamless in the weeks beforehand. On the night itself the bar staff were very attentive and friendly. Our guests all seemed to enjoy the food (especially the veggie burgers) which was served in generous portions. We'd definitely recommend this venue to anyone looking for a relaxed but professionally run event in North London.

N. B.I had my 25th birthday party here and the staff were lovely! Any question I had, they were more than happy to answer. Drinks are not expensive at all and the toilets are very clean! The sound system is also great and there are mirrors everywhere! Great venue! I will recommend this place to everyone

W. R.I had my 50th birthday here in the upstairs bar. Around 50 friends attending. It was the perfect size and having the outside space was really great. It was a perfect night! Alex and his team made sure we all had a really great time and they were a central part of the experience.
From Andrzej to the lady who helped us with the cake (“the cake specialist”! :D ..she was great and sorry I cannot remember her name!) but especially Sean, our amazing bartender took care very good care of us from start to finish and made everything so easy the entire night!
They have a great team and be assured you are in good hands! I definitely recommend the venue to anyone looking for a special night and concerned about the level of support. They really went all out to make sure everyone was happy, but especially me, which I appreciated! :D

From start to finish - booking the Chapel Bar was the best decision I could have made for our engagement party. Booking was easy - communication fantastic throughout. I felt in safe hands from start to finish! It was a Surprise Party and the Chapel staff went the extra mile to allow me to keep my partner completely in the dark and help organise the big 'SURPRISE' as Rachel walked in. The venue is great - we rented both floors as the upstairs is a cool added space complete with a terrace which allows people to smoke. There's a second bar up there too. The Chapel Bar staff are/were top notch and the music and beer (with pizza interlude 9-10pm) flowed right up to the 3AM finish without incident or stress.
It is in a vibrant part of London. After the event, my Deposit was paid back to me without hassle. Put simply, Chapel Bar delivered an amazing night enjoyed by all my guests in a professional but super-laid back atmosphere. I really cannot recommend these guys highly enough - BOOK with ABSOLUTE confidence!

Luke was especially helpful with a multitude of questions I had leading up to the event and, on the night, the staff went out of their way to ensure everything ran smoothly. They booked our DJ too, and he was brilliant! The food was surprisingly good too - i've hired many bars before where the food turns up cold and soggy and might as well have been bought from Iceland, but the canapes from Chapel Bar were delicious, hot and a really good size - everyone at the party commented. I wouldn't hesitate to book it again and recommend it to others. Great location too - really easy for everyone to get to no matter where in London - oh, and the late license is superb!

A perfect space for a summer evening with our friends (50 invited guests), and we were looked after from start to finish by the staff on the night... Elliott, Leah and Cristina took care of the evening which run very smoothly, and Alex ensured that we were served top quality food... just what we wanted for a touch of Italian to our wedding. All our guests enjoyed the event and commented on the attentiveness of the staff. The venue gave us a space all for us, and it made it cosy but unique and very private. Your staff were superb. Completely unobtrusive but they managed to be very attentive at the same time. The food was great and the drinks flowed fast enough that I think we got through it all but not so fast that everyone was falling over before midnight.
Having the license for the balcony until 1am was amazing.
Everyone commented on what a great venue we had chosen so I can't recommend it highly enough.

A. G.Awesome staff managed by the wonderful Blair. They were all very professional and friendly, they looked after me and my guests which took the pressure off when organizing a big event. The support is needed so thank you. I've hosted two parties there now (engagement do and 30th birthday) both a huge success and everyone had a great time. The food they offer is fantastic and all reasonably priced. They allowed me to decorate the place as we wanted and offered full DJ equipment, lights and projector. I highly recommend this place for your event and I most certainly will be coming back :)

I. I.I cannot stress enough how highly I recommend this bar! Organising the work Christmas do is usually a nightmare but not this time. Even when it was simply in the early enquiries stage, everyone was so helpful, so professional and accommodating which followed through to the night where we were taken such good care of. The whole team loved the place, from the lovely decor to the brilliant heated terrace to the great food and drinks. Topped off with the prompt service, the included cloakroom and the fantastic staff, the night was a roaring success. I want to say a massive thank you - not only did we have a nice time, we had an easy time. Nothing was too much trouble and with such genuine care. I really feel like I found a gem.

e. h.On Saturday 17th March 2018 we got married in Islington Town then we held our reception in The Chapel Bar. We all had an AMAZING time!. The food was delicious. We had the chicken and gnocchi and Wow they were both so tasty. We have never tasted chicken like it! The gnocchi was a very good portion to. The drinks flowed all night until 3am and nothing was to much trouble. The bar staff were lovely especially Leia what a lovely lady! Eilliot dashed out to get flowers for some of our guest. Our table decorations were set out just as we wonted. The Chapel Bar was such an interment venue. My guest loved the venue and asked how did I find such a lovely venue! The mini burgers and fish and chips went down so well. The fish just melted in your mouth. Oh yes and what a lovely pint of Guinness! Thank you to Luke and all the staff at the Chapel Bar for making our St Patrick’s Day Wedding a day we will never forget! Xx

R. P.I celebrated my 30th birthday party at Chapel Bar on Friday 17/05/13. I'd always wanted to do a party for my 30th with my family and friends, and as I'd been to The Chapel Bar several months before for another friend's birthday, I always knew from that initial experience that this was the venue to make it happen. So, with the help of the Chapel Bar management, it was very straight forward to carry out the booking, and subsequently arranged the food canapes, decor and DJ.
On the night itself... well, what can I say? It was an absolutely banging night that went as perfect as I could imagine. I had 120 guests of mine (aged between 27 - 43 ) attend the party all at once, which made it really ideal for the downstairs bar which holds a capacity of 180 people. Everybody was more than comfortable during that time.
As I did a private hire, my guests had the entire venue to themselves; hence, they could move around the venue with ease and leave their jackets and belongings wherever they wanted. The bouncers on the door were very proficient and ensured no random people who were not invited would enter the venue.
My group eventually more than doubled the bar spend, and at no time did any of my guests complain about the length of time which took for them to be served with their drinks. And this was all thanks to the bar staff led by the legendary Blair; they were all extremely professional and efficient in their job, making excellent cocktails and serving up superb canapes.
In conclusion, I would like to send my heart felt THANK YOU to all the Chapel Bar staff and, in particular, Luke for making my vision become reality. All of my guests had an excellent time and I would never hesitate to use this venue again.

Very competitive pricing on a full bar booking, I would highly recommend this for anyone wanting to have an evening event for ~80-100 people.
E. F.We had a shared birthday do in the downstairs saloon bar, with around 150 guests. In the months beforehand, Luke was very helpful with the planning, and quick to reply to any questions I had. On the night itself, the team behind the bar were brilliant, all very friendly and efficient. The canapes - delicious - appeared right on time. Luke also booked the dj for us, who worked from playlist ideas we supplied, and clearly understood the kind of music we were looking for. It's a great venue with lots of comfy sofas in the bar, and a dance floor complete with shiny disco ball. Guests loved it, and so did I! I'd definitely book it again.

S. K.What can I say? This was the best party I've ever thrown, and all thanks to Luke and the fantastic team at Chapel Bar. The space downstairs (Saloon) was absolutely perfect for my group (roughly 70 in total) - heaps of seating, space to stand and of course the dance floor which was a real hit. The DJ set up is super professional, with a split sound system so you can still hold a conversation in the bar area, or have thumpin' tunes when boogying.
The bar team were exceptionally friendly, super efficient and did some outstanding cocktails (all their own creation!). The food was OUTSTANDING, incredibly delicious and they were even able to add more for me on the night which was a real life-saver and well worth every penny. With a security team on the door, I felt the venue was safe and completely private.
The guys on the door were super professional, very friendly, and diligent, ensuring all of us got home safely. I've had feedback coming at me all week about how great they were.
I can't talk more highly about Chapel Bar - you guys made my 30th a birthday to remember! Thank you so, so much for all your energy, effort and warmth. I'll be back!

Over the years we’ve had so many disappointing experiences with regards to agreements or packages not being honoured on the night. We’ve been ripped-off countless times and generally leave venues with a bitter taste in our mouth.
The Chapel Bar however was wonderful – a top looking venue in a great location. The agreement and arrangements we made were all honoured and supported by the manager and staff. Overall: an excellent manager (Luke), superb staff and great support during our evening. The food was great, the DJ was in tune with the party’s atmosphere and everybody left the party very happy – including us party organisers! I’d happily give the Chapel Bar 5 stars and would recommend this venue to anyone wanting to organise a party.

Not only is it a really clean and contemporary space, but add all the tasteful and stylish decorations that they display it is just beautiful!! When the dinner was over, hey presto the tables are stacked away and it's party time at the disco.

We made our own playlists and plugged them into the sound system which worked a treat and everyone loved the music! There was an option to bring/ hire a DJ but I wanted it a little less formal! We had our own bar/ bartender and the drinks were flowing all night (open till 3am unlike many other venues i looked at).The outdoor terrace was a real plus (even in the middle of a stormy February night) and the heaters worked wonders! I booked after my sister hired the venue a few years back and would highly recommend this venue again! friends were also really impressed with the bar and are also looking to hire!

R. B.Have to say you probably won't find a better venue in London for a late night party. Had my 50th here recently and had friends traveling from all over UK so didn't want a 1am finish and The Chapel Bar has a licence until 3am, which was exactly what I was looking for. The place has great decor and a small dance floor, full DJ equipment ( I had my own DJ's) and a well stocked bar. Drink prices were typical of London with a pint just under £5 and cocktail £8. Staff were superb and so professional and were in constant contact with my partner in organising the showing my surprise video on their flat screen TV. I had around 80-90 guests and venue was the perfect size, but you could squeeze another 40 easily and there is also an upstairs for separate hire as well. Also it's just a 10 min walk from Kings Cross or 5 min walk from Angel Station so very easy to find. The only minor complaint I had is there is a step into the gents that a few tripped on, but that was after a few beers. As I said this is such a great little venue and would recommend to all my friends and family. Rich
