The Cherry Tree is an absolutely lovely local pub with plenty of space for crowds big and small. There’s sometimes a fire alight on cold nights, and you’re always greeted with a smile. Good Young’s ales on tap, and a satisfying menu of pub food options done to a high standard.

The bar and staff were lovely. Spacious with relaxing decor. Nice and quiet with prompt friendly service. Ordered from food menu but my food was not really edible. However the staff were very lovely and removed it from the bill. Truly appreciate good service. Would definitely visit again.

£10 Sundie Roast after 5pm- cant go wrong. I had the lamb and my mate, the pork. Pretty decent portions and the sides were actually seasoned. Starter haloumi with tabouli is friggin amoize. Service was great for a busy sunday dinner service. A nice outdoor area outside too.

Just Right Outside East Dulwich Station cross the road on the right (100 yds max) is The Cherry Tree.. i do recommend this as a destination pub because of the railway you'll also find TCC on the 484 & 176 bus routes too. Very comfortable, walk round until you find a space that you will enjoy. Fine menu, with good food & drink, keen staff, keen service too..now there is music..can be loud, depends on how much white noise you like, there is a large screen Tv again is that you? Clean, space, once settled you will enjoy The Cherry Tree.

One of the best roasts around . Get there after 5pm for a discounted price on the days roast dinners . Cheaper price but the taste it incredible . Highly recommend the pork belly. If you are not a big eater the kids portion is still very substantial as pictured across the table

This place is comfortably my favourite pub in East Dulwich and the surrounding area. The food is amazing, especially the Fish and Chips and the Roast Dinners, the selection of drinks is also pretty good and the beer garden was perfect in the summer. A special shout out to the staff who have started to recognise me from the few times I've been in. I wish I could remember your name but the guy who must be a shift leader/assistant manager with short, black spiky hair has always looked out for me, given me solid food recommendations and even saved me seats for busy football games.

Great first visit to The Cherry Tree. The lovely garden area drew enough people for some nice atmosphere even on a slightly chilly first Tuesday post-eat out to help out.. Ordering on the app very easy, food and drinks arrived promptly for the most part, a bit of delay versus ordering at the bar is to be expected under the new regime at any pub and exercising a bit of patience is no hardship when staff are clearly working really hard and remaining friendly and professional in trying circumstances. Good selection of drinks and food is pub classics done really, really well. We popped in because we're staying across the road while having our flat renovated but we'll be making the effort to visit again even once back home in West Dulwich.

I'd visited The Cherry Tree once before lockdown and absolutely loved the vibe, the location, the team and menu. So, I made a return visit for a much needed post-lockdown reunion. Aside from the great service by Zara and Jade a special shoutout has to go to the chefs! To treat ourselves we had the Truffle mac and cheese, Tempura tenderstem broccoli, Baked camembert and the prawns. I was in heaven and it wasn't only because of the alluring swagger of Sailor Jerry! Still dreaming about that Truffle mac and cheese ... might need to come back for round 2.

Visited the Cherry Tree for the first time last Tuesday for a Christmas drink with some family. Upon arrival we received a warm welcome and the the staff were very friendly and accommodating nothing was too much when ordering the food to specific diet requirements. The food was made to order with fresh ingredients which reflected in the taste. I recommend the Cherry Tree burger, the meat was fresh and tasted delicious compliments to the chef👌 The Guinness I ordered had a slight aftertaste from being the first out of the pump that day but the bartender was more than happy to replace it and the second one was on point. My only complaint is that I don't live in the area to frequent it more often but on the back of this visit I will definatly be returning. We are going through very difficult times at the moment and the next few months will be make or break for a lot of businesses particurly pubs so more than ever it's so important that we support our local pubs they are more than just a pub they are part of the local history and community and of their gone their gone forever and as such I recommend any businesses local to The Cherry Tree that want to show their staff or clients a great appreciation book a table at the Cherry Tree🎄🎁🍻🥂🍾⛄

The food is quite good, maybe slightly overpriced (especially on Christmas Day!) but it's a nice pub that isn't grimy or unkempt. The tables are very nice, for romance or not, and there is an option to sit outside, which I enjoy. Service is generally great, and understandably good when busy. Would recommend as a good pub to stop by.

Went today for a family Sunday lunch. Service was friendly and the food portions were generous. The quality of food was good, certainly for the money it was tasty and good value. And there were some good beer on tap too. There are big screen TVs here but there are tables away from them if you book in advance, and when we went today the football fans were not overly rowdy.

just moved around the area and thought id give the cherry tree a try and i'm glad i did. i had a couple of pints at the bar which were clean and crisp which is expected for the price point of beers now days. the guy on the bar was the general manger which is grand to see the bull driving the horns or the cherry driving the tree in this case, think his name was Henry who also recommended some food i caved and had a fish and chips, all cooked well fish was crispy, not greasy and well seasoned. if your going to do the staples of a classic pub then do it right, take note pretentious pubs. i will return!

Well if you know me I love a pub with a fire place and good food. So what a lovely re-find of this place. Still wonderfully friendly, clean, welcoming and with nice staff. A good size property, with a nice garden and front veranda, this a good weekend or evening spot. Not too pricey, they have a number of food nights (steak night - £10) as well as cocktails. I could see this a nice informal date, starting point. Especially with the train into London bridge just a skip away. They also have a number of screens so sports are another reason to pop by, but so is the food too. If you have the time, its well worth popping in.

This place was recently renovated and they've done a great job. The staff are really nice, the beer selection isn't too bad, and the Sunday roast is fantastic! The Cherry Tree is a very welcoming pub with excellent staff and a nice atmosphere - it's more cafe-ish than traditional spit and sawdust but that's not always a bad thing. Great beer garden, staff, interior and a wide selection of drinks. Have eaten here a few times, lunch and dinner which were excellent. The reason I am giving only 4 stars is the breakfast. Presentation was good but for £10 the English breakfast was very disappointing- only one item of each, which is fine, but maybe not for a tenner. The bacon was mostly fat, sausage was not mostly meat and the toast was mostly cheap. Coffee was average at best. Would have got the same quality next door at the grove cafe but twice as much at half the price. If you are going to sell breakfast put as much effort into it as you do the rest of the meals or don't do it at all!

Been living closeby for a while but took several months before we tried this place. Since been twice for Sunday roasts and both were excellent! My girlfriend said the vegetarian roasts are the best she's had, and I though the beef was really good with excellent sides.

Change of management and a total revamp has finally made the pub a fantastic neighbourhood favourite. The staff are super friendly and the food centres around quality seasonal ingredients. We are now regulars. Keep it up!

I love this pub and live just down the road, but they seriously need to sort out the cleanliness of their glasses. I want to keep coming here (and not defect to the EDT down the road) so please renovate the hell out of that dish washer, hand wash, or something (!) because it's a let down in an anotherwise terrific local pub.

Ordered a burger, salt & pepper squid and some seasonal veg. On a very quiet day it took the food 40 mins to arrive. My salt & pepper squid turned out to be basically popcorn squid served with wrong sauce and sides. When told the nice server went back to the kitchen and brought me replated version with semi-correct sides BUT it's still breaded squid and not salt & pepper squid which does not come with batter. I can't have anything containing or made of grains so sat there peeling a relatively nice squid from it's batter for the best part of the meal (they knocked off some money off because of that from our bill so they get 3, not 2 stars). My partner's burger was somewhat burnt but the chips and seasonal veg were nice. Staff pleasant enough and the pub is nice, but stick to drinks maybe.
