Been a few times and dare I say it’s the best pub in Barnes today! Gorgeous huge outdoor area perfect for sunny days, beautiful warm indoor pub plus events room to rent. Kind energetic young team. They’ve got a delicious menu and we’re happy to be flexible with my order. They have a burger shack open on the weekends out in the garden with great burgers and hot dogs. Family friendly and pet friendly. Can’t wait to go back again.

Lovely back garden and seating area, selection of good was decent with some "not too expensive burger options". Service was a tad on the show side for what seemed like a non peak time. Location is easy to get to and the staff were friendly as well. It's a good sign personally for me when a pub isn't blasting music, because it shows it's comfortable enough in it's own skin to let the atmosphere and the food provide the ambience.

Went here for my son's 21st birthday. There is a large, lovely garden there and they serve food. We had a 'few' drinks and it was a great day out. The prices are reasonable and the staff were very helpful, polite and friendly. Will be going back and highly recommend!

We visited on a very busy Saturday when a children's party was being held and a baby gender reveal was being set up in the garden. A male member of the waiting staff became very aggressive when a guest asked how long their meal would take but did later return with a free beer and apologise and say are we all good now? Our food took an hour to arrive and the cutlery took another 10 minutes by which time the food had cooled. The setting is lovely. Maybe the Management hadn't employed enough staff for the bookings that they had taken on that day which left them all a bit fraught. Ordering is via an app which asks for the gratuity when the order is being placed and paid for. I am sure that it is usually a wonderful experience and that the day we visited was just a one off.

This is a wonderful place to host a gathering. Yesterday 15 old people came together to celebrate the life of a departed friend. We were in the small function room, The Stables, which was very comfortable and warm and we were looked after by two efficient, kind and courteous young people . The food and drink were excellent and the afternoon was a pleasure. I cannot recommend this place highly enough.

A wonderful pub and slice of history in Barnes. The garden is stunning and the perfect place to stop by when the sun shines. Jay and Mariah are wonderfully welcoming hosts and the food is delicious too. Will be back!

Large open garden. Friendly staff. Beer is good. Food is good. Can get chilly in the evenings - bring a jumper! Today they had the large canopy open over the outside seating area which was appreciated to save us from the rain. But it does mean smoke from all the smokers is getting a bit much and we will have to leave soon. April 2022 - they've removed large the outside canopy, just in time for the April snow/freezing weather, so the bar area is quite busy.

I boooked the back room for an artist meeting, when l arrived they had set it all up with Coach and Horses headed paper and pens. Thanks guys you made a meeting run smoothly, your stars are shining, thanks to Sam and his staff team. Look at photos you will see what they arranged for us. (Barnes Artists) ________________________________ The coach has gone through a transformation. Staff are always friendly and welcoming. It has a good atmosphere, fantastic garden, good food and a good selection of wine, beer and spirits. Also an ideal place to have functions, weddings, birthdays and funerals. The coach is very supportive to community based groups and societies. We'll worth checking it out. The coach is planning to do Christmas lunch this year, worth keeping an eye out for their Christmas menu.

Such a fun place. I love the outside patio heating. My kids had a blast running around with friends and we got to pet a neighbor's dog. This place felt like a real community. Plus.... Raclette all day, everyday!!! You must do it.

Surprisingly large garden behind their small frontage. Was great when we had table service during the partial lockdown, but still a great place to visit when you have to go to the bar to buy your drinks. Staff very friendly and helpful drinks food and reasonably priced for London.

It was quite rainy when we went, so it wasn't looking as lovely as in the picture. However it has an absolutely magnificent beer garden with separated covered stalls down a half of one side. It must be a dream on a sunny summer's day. The staff seemed pleasant and happy to help.

Friendly with good food. Ceased salad was refreshingly delicious (anchovies just right, flavoursome without being overpowering or too salty). Hubby's fish and chips was a generous portion and tasted fresh with a good batter. Water for the dogs is available at the dog bar. Covid protocols all perfectly adhered to.

Updates Summer 2021 Great pub and amazing garden. Good selection of drinks and have recently added loads of new vegan options. The burger shack has a ton of options and the main menu has a couple of vegan choices as well. Plus they do a great vegan roast on a Sunday. Great to see they have listened to the feedback and made some positive changes.

Beautiful venue, friendly and organised staff. We had a nice post-lockdown snifter on a cool Thursday afternoon. The organic NZ Sav Blanc was okay but a little past its best for what was quite a high price. We'll try something faster moving next time and look forward to tasting their burgers.

A great pub with a large back garden. The bar is however quite small and I always find people pushing in to get their drinks rather than waiting. But the food is very good and they have a small but varied selection of craft beers on tap.

A small but historic local landmark in Barnes High Street - but now with a large covered (& spot heated) outside space. This works well when the outside Bar, and burger grill are in operation - less so when there is only the original small Bar to rely on. Food generally very acceptable, and food value. Sundays are usually busy. Private function room very spacious, by comparison.

The toilets are a little smelly and I have no idea what it is with architects and toilet doors opening into the toilet giving you no space to actually open the door 😣 food seems good, burgers and your normal pub food. Quiet some choices of beer in tap although I was not able to test as I had a work meeting there. Nice room for meetings in the garden.

Definitely getting better every day as a real pub. Even the piped music which the Coach never had, is OK. Management has replied. But I would just like to be clear that the piped music is not a great development although as it happened I was ok with the choice when I was there. I understand that sometimes it helps traffic. But hopefully when the noise of conversation is high enough, you'll kill it.
