Reviews of The Coach & Horses, Soho
B. C.
A lovely Soho pub that has retained the old traditions. The staff are very friendly and professional. The pub gets super busy and has a great atmosphere, with a mix of regulars and theatre goers/tourists. The selection of beers is really good and all kept in excellent condition. Highly recommended.
B. M.
Really enjoyed my night here Friday 19th November. It had a great atmosphere with amazing bar staff to go with it. I enjoyed my London Pride on hand pull pump but not as much as the pork scratchings.....they have to be the best I've ever had.
Well worth a visit you won't be disappointed

September 2020-
Lovely old pub adjacent to the Palace Theatre.
Staff was extremely friendly & helpful.
Building features a few historic details, which can be spotted if you pay close attention!
Would love to visit again on our next trip.

If you are looking for glamour. Forget it. If you've lost your soul maybe you'll find it here. A proper boozer with a piano. Perfect for those lonely nights when you need to reflect on life around strangers, or maybe you make a friend.
J. A.
Nice old fashioned pub with a piano and some good beers on tap.
Part of the Fullers group which occasionally runs free pint promos but they seem to have an issue with these/don't accept them, for example the latest Amstel promo. However, other Fullers pubs in the area don't seem to have a problem.

Very unusual to find a pub in London, much less the west end that serves vegetarian food. Tofu-fish and chips was on the menu that day and it was delicious. Great location close to Soho, Chinatown, the theatres and of course all the attractions in this part of London.
The service is friendly. The pub seems to serve a more food/pub type customers and the pub is not as crowed as is often the case with most of the pubs in the west end. A nicer pub for a more relaxed atmosphere.
A. V.
A classic Soho boozer - getting ever more rare to find with such interiors ripped out for the wooden floor board, wonky lampshade, sofa and board game genre of gentrification. But this has stayed true - it has a stellar beer line up of independent UK breweries including a great cask selection.
J. S.
I love this pub, no-nonsense pub in the heart of soho. Top-tip. There is a quiet seating area upstairs where you can normally get a seat.
I. S.
Cute little pub with decent selection of ales & beers. Helpful staff. They serve vegan food which is amazing! Seating available inside & outside. There is also a secret Tea Room above the pub (ask at the bar about how to get there) 😉 Overall this is a lovely old pub & I'm looking forward to coming back again soon.
A. T.
Not bad, older style pub, better than these new style bars! Decent collection of beer, spirits and snacks on offer!
A. S.
Nice pub in the LGBT district of town. Good range of beers and spirits including a decent amount of ales on tap. London prices are to be expected. Service was quick as it wasn't heaving and there was even some seating outside. Good place to watch sports too.
F. L.
It's a faultless pub. Lovely independent ambiance, incredibly convivial staff, a great beer selection and well priced malts. Paying 4 pound something for a dram of Lagavulin 16 was very appreciated.
D. D.
First time here at this pub. I was welcomed with a smile. Got a nice cold pint of Asahi. Watching London go by outside. What more do u want? Keep up the good work team Coach & Horses.
R. B.
Great pub, not what it once was, but a real pub, full of real people, the unpainted varnished interior is how it was in the 1969s they still have sing songs around a piano. Upstairs is a dining room that serves as a tea shop. The food is vegan, i am not one for nuts and twigs myself, and so that's a disapointment The beer is well kept and reasonably priced for where it is. Its a good pub
J. A.
We had the vegan fish & chips and tasted fairly well, even though the fish was simply a large block of tofu with some algae. It could have been more elaborate. They were only able to accept cash.
G. C.
Classic old Soho pub. Outdoor seating on the street. Good selection of ales and guest beers. Friendly staff. Watch out - there are three 'Coach & Horses' in Soho.
J. M.
Nice pub with a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Pretty quiet compared to the surrounding area which is good for a chilled out vegetarian or vegan lunch. I like the fact it is vegetarian, and also serves vegan beers and ciders, however unfortunately the food wasn't much to write home about. The tofish and chips was pretty average, and it was also relatively expensive at £11.95. In retrospect I wouldn't pay more than around £8 for what it was. I'd say worth going for the drinks, not the food.
M. W.
This is an historic pub that’s proudly independent. This place will be serving its last pint on June 23 2019 as the landlord, Fuller's, will not be renewing the lease.
NB despite my photo showing a Nicholson’s glass, this place is not part of the chain, the Coach just randomly utilise their neighbour’s ‘overflowed’ glassware.
K. D.
Nice atmosphere, really lovely space. I went there to try vegan fish&chips, I must say I expected a bit more. "Fish" was obviously made of tofu and it was good, but I think tofu should have been marinated so it would actually have a bit of taste. Chips were amazing. In short, it was a nice experience.
J. W.
Fantastic, traditional London pub, that happens to be vegetarian. Piano sing-alongs take place a couple times a week. It gets very busy in the evenings.
The food is mostly vegan, with freshly cooked versions of typical London food, like Tofush & chips, and pie n mash! There is also an upstairs restaurant, called the Secret Tea Room, which is accessed from behind the bar!
There are also two resident cats, who lounge around the bar all day and evening.
D. D.
Famously the 'worst' pub in theatreland for all the best reasons. A true pub experience from 40 years ago. Long may it remain unchanged
f. f.
Great pub, always great atmosphere. Just really good to have a full pub back.
P. D.
A shadow of its former self. Fuller's have tried to respect history and not renovate the place. I think that's admirable and understandable and they also have lovely staff. However, the fact remains it is still a very shabby place that needs a new floor and better toilets as a minimum.
V. I.
Great beer and very helpful service.
Ideal for a quiet and quick break in Soho area.
J.
Amazing pub in Soho with delicious vegan food, in the secret tea room upstairs or the pub downstairs. Gorgeous brunch and best tofush and chips in town !
D. T.
What a wonderful place, small pub with loads of character, the setting for "Jeffrey Bernard is not well" Starring Peter O'Toole. This is seriously cool.
L. C.
Cosy little pub on Greek Street serving vegan tofush and chips :) Not too loud either. Quirky decor.
Like everyone else has said, the tofish and chips is just a block of firm tofu wrapped in nori seaweed and then deep fried in a beer batter that's a bit sweet? Generous serving of chips and peas!
I love the atmosphere but some thought in the seasoning of the tofu would do wonders for the dish.
D. B.
Great pint of Pride and fantastic bar staff recommending other bars in Central London. Will be back.
T. T.
Nice little boozer in the heart of London that doesn't break the bank. Wide range of ales and bottled beer
J. H.
Wonderful Soho institution and traditional London pub. The hang out of Jeffrey Bernard, Francis bacon and journalists. A must visit just for the fact that it's under threat from Fullers and may not be here. Save Soho !
A. T.
Frequented by actors. This pub has a long history serving tourist and the local community in Soho. Sall outside area for celebrity watching! Definitely worth a visit!
G. L.
A terrifically small pub at the heart of London. Great wee pub.

❤️ Great no frills boozer in the heart of the West End and what a stunning looking pub. I visited on a wet Tuesday evening on a crawl around the Covent Garden and Shaftesbury Avenue area and thought I would dive in here for a pint. From the outside I had visions that the inside would look like Sherlock Holmes drawing room but was pleasantly surprised to find it was a bit of a spit and sawdust, nice surprise! I perched myself at the bar and was served by presumably the guvnor’ as he was emptying the till and keeping an eye on things. The atmosphere was laidback and there was a dozen or so people from all walks of life enjoying a beer and a chat. As always I only stayed for one pint but would definitely return with a group of friends as this would be a good place to hangout for an evening. This place gets the thumbs up from me.

Gem of a pub in middle of SoHo. Think all wood bar is listed. Hophead spot on
D. H.
Old man pub with great craft beer selection -- 🎯
D. B.
Proper pub in Soho. Gets very busy and it's cosy, to say the least.
A. R.
Amazing place, great beers/ciders/wines ,Lovely staff. Definitely recommend if you are looking for a nice place to have a pint. They also have a lot of vegan/vegetarian options.
H. S.
Lovely old fashioned place with outdoor seating. Cocktails were good.
c. T.
Great atmosphere. Drinking mans pub. Friendly staff
P. T.
Lovely pub great atmosphere and good selection of beers.
D. B.
What a great pub, it hasn't changed in 40 years, including the 3 non-working ale pumps. And good old Norman Balon is still grumpy!
D. L.
Super pub and amazing staff. I first went to this pub during the days of the faces of Soho like Jeffrey Bernard,John Hurt and Francis Bacon.I even spent a few evenings there with my friend Shane MacGowan.
T. T.
Consistenly and reliably fab atmosphere and staff. One of my favourite pubs in Soho ❤
M. R.
Support your local! Great pub and even better staff!
R. T.
A great Soho landmark. It looks like the developers have moved in, let's hope they don't ruin it. I think they will. ☹️
They haven't, the character has been kept, still the same old pub.😀
J. W.
Awesome little boozer! Fantastic selection of craft beerio's 👌 great staff too
P. B.
Excellent pint of London Pride and a great place to people watch on a sunny afternoon.
G. C.
Same old bar great service apart from upmarket clientele mr Barnard would still recognise it good on you geofrey
C. D.
A great pub if you are looking for a bit of old school Soho (which we definitely were) Friendly staff, dog friendly if you're dog is well behaved (tho beware there is a cat in residence) Friendly staff. Not the most varied beer selection (sticks to fairly traditional choices, but as it is a traditional pub can't really complain!) Friendly staff and patrons. Decent veggie and vegan menu. Unexpected tea room upstairs!
S. R.
Decent little boozer, sadly didnt meet any journalists
M. C.
This Pub is one place that everyone should visit if going to Soho or Theatres . It has a unique quality about it of History and honesty that has been lost by so many pubs closing and being re themed or modernized . When we were there we believe the Old Landlord was in having a pint and there was some old stories being exchanged of Old times . We wanted to stay to hear Betty on the piano but had to get back after a Show . We will be back soon hopefully to take in more of the atmosphere of this iconic boozer.
A. B.
Great pub food made vegan. I'll let the pictures do the talk.
A. B.
Fantastic tofish and chips! Very good place for vegans.
A. V.
Just moved into the area and absolutely love this pub. The atmosphere is great and the staff are amazing. Our waitress Danielle was great, well knowledgable about the food on menu and drinks , especially which wine to go with which food. This visit we came for a roast dinner but the time we came before was around six months ago and it was great and refreshing to see someone who had been and served us before. The food was excellent and tasty well valued for money. Big space, amazing food, great service. All around winner for me
R. K.
Great pub with delicious vegetarian food upstairs. I’d been meaning to visit this place for ages and it didn’t disappoint. We had their signature dish of Tofush and Chips and a bean burger, both of which were delicious. The small restaurant upstairs is beautifully decked out like a Victorian tearoom and the service was really warm and friendly. I’ll be back!
T. B.
A wonderful pub for all. Servers amazing vegan/veggie food. The drink selection is real ales galore. Piano sing-a-long Wednesday and Saturday, is a must. A pub full of history and atmosphere. Go!
J. N.
Historic West End boozer on the corner of Soho, famed for slaking the thirst of such renowned and notorious Sohoites as Francis Bacon, Dylan Thomas, Jeffrey Bernard and a troupe of other thespians. The staff are friendly and the place attracts the loyalty of regulars. It is one of the last pubs in London to host raucous and celebratory piano singalongs, preserving a glimpse of what pubs were like in wartime in its harmonious energy and the ideal of a pub as a democratic haven to a motley of moth-eaten and ramshackle characters who love nothing better than to wrangle.

Lovely landlady Jaimie. Nice little back street pub in middle of Soho
B. M.
This is a nice pub with great vegan food. Well worth a visit.
M. W.
I have loved the Coach and Horses all my adult life. Through Jeffrey Bernard is Unwell and beyond. Through Norman, it still doesn't disappoint. It is a proper pub! Some of Soho may not be what it was but The Coach thankfully is. Thank you!
n. p.
Very busy local pub, managed to get in and find a table but very small.
k. m.
Great pub. Even better than it used to be
S.
Accidentally ended up in this pub for a few drinks. It has been the best pub I've visited so far in London. Really friendly atmosphere. I accidentally dropped and broke a wineglass, I got a whole new wine, now that's what I call a good costumer service. There also was a very cute black cat sleeping on one of the chairs. If I'm around will definitely come back.
B. H.
Atmospheric but very plain pub. Formerly the haunt of a colourful cast of Soho characters such as the writer Jeffrey Barnard.

Hello. I came here over two years ago by accident.
A local pigeon had pooped on my head and out of embarrassment (and hygiene reasons) I had to find somewhere to clean up. So I found this pub. As I had used the facilities I stopped for a drink and sat down.
It slowly dawned on me where I was. I enjoyed looking at the photographs and I enjoyed the atmosphere. I was also delighted to see the peanut-stealing cats. One (cat) got locked outside by mistake and kept bouncing up to the window of the door meowing to come in. I let them in and I was thanked with a haughty tail twitch. The staff were friendly and it was very laid back.
Thank you pigeon for giving me that experience.
M. W.
Had a drink followed by delicious vegetarian meal in the restaurant above. We have been to the pub a few times and always end up chatting to other customers. Super friendly environment. Not sure if they still do the sing-a-long evenings with piano. But do go if you get a chance. Saturdays at 7:30 pm. (Booking for afternoon tea a must. We just turned up for dinner - after 5 pm.)
O. M.
A very different lovely boozer, historical full of thinkers.
J. O.
This is an old style traditional London Pub bang in the middle of Soho. Can get very busy. It’s buzzing most weekends and even on a school night. If you like that sort of Pub culture, it’s the place for you. Easy to find, best for pre dinner drinks with friends and colleagues or just drinks with groups of friends. Oh and very importantly it’s child friendly for those who are out with kids and need a drink. 😀
R. B.
it's a pub, it used to be great, but then so did Soho...now, like the entire are its a pale imitation of it's former self
D. P.
A great pub that has kept the legacy of the old landlord and Infamous Soho regulars. Lovely old interior that has been left as it should be.
As a Londoner this is one of my regular pubs as the quality is spot on...I highly recommend a pint of Star and if you're feeling hungry go for the rarebit, which is gorgeous.
All the food is veggie or vegan, but the menu is traditional pub food and very high quality at a reasonable price.
The play centred around the pub (Jeff Bernard is unwell) is on DVD starring the late great Peter O'Toole...very funny and well worth watching!
N. W.
Contrary to opinion, Fuller’s didn’t ruin the place after Alastair was kicked out. Old vibe still remains, and I can sometimes hear Jeffrey Barnard’s ghostly laugh.
T.
This quaint corner pub has a great selection of beer as well as vegetarian food offerings which draws a crowd hungry for their tofush and chips. While I'm not a veg, I was quite happy with the menu offerings, settling on cheese on toast. On Wednesdays and Fridays, they have singalongs with a pianist and singer, which can't be missed. Fantastic vibe here!
The entrance is wheelchair-accessible as are some tables, however, the restrooms are not, though they are on ground level.
G. A.
Great pub in the heart of Soho and yet still a local vibe. friendly staff, lively people and a lot of fun! The Singalong is just superb! You gotta try it.
Famous West End hideout for actors.
C. N.
Visited The Coach and Horses for the vegetarian food. What is not obvious is that the restaurant is upstairs; duck through the bar and navigate the narrow staircase. Upstairs you will find a nice but dingy tea room where interesting vegetarian fare can be had. The tofuish and chips was much better than expected and the vegans pie was excellent. But don't ask about the beer, that area of expertise is limited to those manning the bar. Regardless, we thought the place was great.
N. B.
Friendly relaxed old pub, nice light aspect with great staff. Love the Joanna anyone can play. Should be listed, an asset to the community. Great beer & cheer, will definitely be my Central London local
E. K.
Great veggie pub in central London. The food was amazing every time I've been here, definitely get the tofush and chips.
The restaurant is in a small tea room bit on the first floor and you should definitely book ahead on the weekend.
4 stars because lately the portions seem too have gotten a bit smaller but it's still a must visit.
S. J.
Great old skool London boozer. An excellent pint of beer and a great atmosphere. It's known as a vegan pub and we went there to try it out. Unfortunately the kitchen was closed as they're recruiting a new chef. If you're going for the food I'd recommend you phone ahead.
T. R.
Too many horses. Not enough coaches. Glad I wasn’t ignored again, great toilets. Fun fact told by a foreigner in the pub: horses sleep standing up and with their eyes open. Injured my tibia at the bar but the staff were very helpful.
E. W. P.
Just a fantastic mood. Wonderful lady playing the piano, everyone singing. I had a great time.
P. C.
A proper independent London pub; one of the best in Soho (the Star and Garter on Poland Street and the Pillars of Hercules being the others that come to mind). They have proper staff who can serve two people and hold a conversation with a third at the same time. There's a good range of beers. Although I haven't been to one myself, regulars there highly recommend their regular traditional sing-songs around the piano.
N. L.
Really great space, with lots of guest beers on tap. Really enjoyed the Vegan Fish and Chips - only feedback for this was that the tofu could be a bit thinner, which would bring out all the flavours more. But will be returning again and again.
R. R.
A bit run-down, far from gastropub, but this is a good, old fashioned, relaxed kind of place. The food, which is hearty but little else, is incidental despite grand claims to be London's first vegetarian pub. Go for the down to earth atmosphere, the good and varied beer, the reasonable prices, and the world's friendliest pub cat.
J. W.
Good pub. Good craft beer selection.
M. L.
The Coach and Horses aka Norman's is a very traditional pub that has been untouched by the usual 'rip everything out, and turn it into a swanky bar.' It rarely gets packed the rafters which is welcomed considering most other bars in Soho are busy after people have left work. It's a place where you can have a conversation as there isn't any music played except on Wednesdays and Saturdays when there are sing a longs to the piano. Worth a visit for the veggie and vegan food too!
n.
It is a bit like they found a boarded up pub from the 1970's. But great veggie food and the beers were gòod. I loved it and will be back. The pies looked good and I am not a vegetarian and will order next time. Big portions for the money and was packed so obviously good.
B. B.
Cute environment: bar downstairs and secret tea shop upstairs. It was a tad hot upstairs, but hey, heat rises. Got more attention in the bar than upstairs (but Soho is a bar driven district); by no means was the service bad, just impersonal. The vegan fish and chips was delicious! Over all, a delight.
A. A.
Nice place that I would recommend for sure! Quite old school but cosy. Staff was super nice. The beer and the cider that we had were great. And last but not least: vegan fish and chips. I would go again for sure, my only comment would be the prices - it's a bit expensive but worth the try. The tofush might be a bit more elaborated but still it was really good - and better than a lot of fish and chips based on my not-vegetarien BF opinion.
H. “. A.
Quirky, small & English heritage tea shop located above the pub. You have to walk through the counter area to get there though lol 😁. Good selection of teas with great historical stories. Tables a review a bit wonky & staff although kind got our order incorrect, so just make sure the staff are aware. Quite nice vibe and they serve mini cakes as well on the Sunday, although some guests are a bit intrusive withheld conversations, a gentleman seated to the rear side of me seemingly was having a conversation that occasionally spilled over in the direction of my guest, I do not know what that was about. Generally, a mature clientele, families, friends & couples. Worth a short visit.
J. G.
Overall really enjoyed my experience, this is a cracking pub, great entertainment, excellent atmosphere, super friendly staff, nice array of options AND they have a cat! Who lives on the stairs, what a beauty.
Came here with some friends for the famous Tofush. Really thought we’d have to eat standing as the pub is so popular, however, when we asked the staff we were escorted to the hidden restaurant area, which turned out to have a quirky charm.
I have personally never eaten fish so can’t compare to anything but I found the tofush a clever idea but ultimately quite plain. I also am not a fan of tartar sauce so unfortunately that was wasted on me, but my friends enjoyed it! The chips was great - I never usually pick chips thinking they’re plain but these were a nice reminder of how good potato can be! Don’t get me wrong I cleared my plate (minus the tartar sauce).
Excellent service and would go again and would like to try some of the other options.
K. G.
When I visited the Coach & Horses it was surrounded by scaffolding which was quite off-putting. I couldn't tell whether it was a nice pub or more of a dive pub. However, once I got inside I was very pleasantly surprised - it had really warm atmosphere and non of that sticky beer smell that some pubs have. We just had a quick pint but it's definitely somewhere I'll think about next time I need a pub stop in Soho.
B. B.
Good traditional pub with loads of history - Jeffery Bernard ( Peter O'Toole) is unwell was based in this pub. Good ales. Lovely (alternative) tea room upstairs serving afternnon tea - teapot and tea cakes. Also a great vegan restaurant. Booking recommended.
A. C.
The piano sing-along circles every Wednesday and Saturday are well worth the trip. I've been several times now and have wheats had a phenomenal time singing a combination of musical tunes, my-old-man-esque tunes and various popular hits. So much fun and a very unique and rare experience in central London. I world fully recommend a night out here.
W. L.
My employers hold regular meetings in there function room upstairs. We have a great relationship with the management and staff. They always go above and beyond to make sure we have a great time every time. Lovely food and drink
R. A.
This is a local pub for local people. Also known for traditional knees up piano karaoke.
G. L.
Good range and ideal for watching the world go by outside
E. J.
Hidden away upstairs you'll find a - as the Americans would put it - a quaint little tea shop. When you enter the pub, it won't be obvious where to go but just ask one of the friendly staff members and they'll direct you to a little staircase behind the bar where you can make your way upstairs.
The room itself is fairly small, but roomy enough for a decent amount of people to enjoy the lovely spot of afternoon tea to the soundtrack of 50's music. The food itself is nice and good value for money.
J. C.
Don't be put off by the bar when you walk in, its a very traditional old London boozer that has a particular charm to it. The menu is all vegetarian with some vegan options, the tofush was surprisingly really good (I had my reservations) and the veggie burger was tasty but so crumbly, I got more of it on the table/floor/my lap then I did in my mouth. Definitely worth a visit though.
K. H.
Sat outside in the sunshine, served at the table. Friendly staff and an ideal location before going in to The Palace theatre to see, The Show Must Go On.
L. S. (.
I'm a big fan of this place. I first saw it wandering around Soho and didn't think much beyond it looking like a nice traditional pub. But then the 'secret tea room' was featured on Alan Cummings Urban Secrets show on sky.
They do a great pint of Staropramen. Not somewhere you would stay for the night, but definitely a couple, I always prefer to stand outside and people watch as the inside can get quite busy!
W. L.
Excellent pub. It's up with a huge group of us having a jolly old sing-a-long every Monday evening after London City Voices. Great atmosphere. Great service even when busy. Thanks for the good times.
M. R. r.
You're there for a pint ? Just want a regular pub ? In that case it's probably not the best place. It's decent but not amazing. You're there for the vegan restaurant ? Book a table upstair and ENJOY ! Very nice food, amazing fish and chips (of course), good wine choice, great cakes.
H. M.
This pub was very busy when we came in but the bartender was super nice to us! He answered all our questions on the food and even helped us with our drink selection.
We came here specifically for the fish and chips and it was pretty good. The fries were good and crisp and the tartar sauce was soooo good. I couldn't get enough of it, definitely order an extra side of that. The fish was just okay. It is just a lemony block of soft tofu wrapped in seaweed and fried in a bater. The flavor wasn't bad but a block of tofu isn't super appealing. I think if it was cut into strips of tofu with the same crunchy bater it'd be really great!
They actually had a big assortments of pies and the bartender suggested the mint chickpea one. It was AMAZING. Seriously, my mouth is watering thinking about it right now. It came with a side of mashed potatoes and gravy. Definitely recommend that item.
Overall I really enjoyed the atmosphere of the pub and the service. I would definitely go back when I visit London again.
M. M.
This is a lovely higgledy-piggledy place where the 'restaurant' is above the pub but only accessible through the bar.
One upstairs, it is like being transported back to the 1940s with vintage decor and matching music.
A chilled family feeling to the place blends perfectly with great food with gravy and mash too.
Recommended.
G. G.
Great pub!
Great atmoshere. I was there on halloween night. Crowded but still we could have beers and diiner with just 20 minutes waiting time.
Upstairs you have the dining room that has view on the street.
The menu is mostly vegetarian and it's one of the best tried so far.
D. T.
A pub with vegan pub grub. Veggie 'fish' n chips on the menu, I enjoyed it. Dine upstairs in the restaurant accessible through the bar. Same menu and cost. Nice vintage decor. Enjoy a pint or vegan wine with your meal. Yum. Quick service.
T. d. S.
One of my favourite pubs in London. Some of the most friendly staff you'll ever have the pleasure of meeting. A pub cat and sing alongs on a Wednesday. Not far off spit and sawdust, and all the better for it.
A. S.
Wonderfully tired decor, classic London pub. Lots of photos and cartoons on the walls from when it used to be a haunt of journalists. Vegetarian and Vegan food on the menu. What I saw coming out of the kitchen looked good.
D. A.
One of my favourite pubs in soho, this is usually a quiet place (for the area) to have a pint. They serve the classic ales and beers you'll find in your local pub. They also serve great vegetarian food and have a small 'secret' vegetarian restaurant which you can access by asking at the counter.

My favourite pub in Soho. I have a special affection for this pub after coming here on Christmas Day one year. Really attractive and unique exterior, interior pretty nice too. They sometimes have interesting real ciders on tap here - I have in the past really enjoyed the likes of Orchard Pig and even the legendary Naish's Cider - the only time I've ever seen this in London.
The pub was the setting of the play Jeffrey Bernard is Unwell, which gives a fascinating glimpse of what a colourful crowd of journalists etc used the Coach and Horses as their regular haunt in its heyday. Still today it seems to attract an at times slightly quirky and eccentric crowd.
To top all of that they now serve entirely vegetarian food - I have enjoyed their vegetarian Sunday roasts on several occasions - a proper Sunday roast including roast potatoes a Yorkshire pudding and gravy and a selection of varied and interesting centrepieces.

The vegetarian/vegan restaurant upstairs was a treat to discover. We had tofish & chips, bangers and mash, vegan red velvet cake, and a few other things. We enjoyed our dishes.
Apparently you can have a vegan tea with vegan treats if you call a couple days ahead. I'll be doing this the next time I'm in town.
V. L.
This claims to be the only vegetarian and vegan pub in London, though we didn't eat here so can't comment. A round cost £14 (for a pint, spiced rum and coke and a pint of lemoade with orange juice). The (female) toilets had some interesting graffiti on the walls (lots of feminist comments and slogans). They have sing alongs on Wednesday and Saturday evenings.
M. T.
Good place to grab a pint in SoHo. You're still paying around £5 a pint but it's a little bit out of the way so usually a bit quieter if you find the rest of SoHo too crowded. Quite a small pub and only a few tables inside that are big enough for 4.
Outside catches the evening sun, so perfect in the summer for a quick one after work.
S. O.
After searching for vegetarian eateries in Soho we decided on The Coach and Horses. The staff were really friendly and helpful, the range of drinks is good and food was also excellent. The service was surprisingly fast considering it was about 9pm on a busy Saturday night. The entertainment with Betty on the piano was also great fun. We will definitely be back. "BRAVO!!!!"
I. B.
Everything was delicious, I'd recommend it to anyone coming to London.
K. W.
A lovely little pub, upstairs is the secret tea rooms. On the edge of Soho, its worth a visit out to it just go get the experience. Ask at the bar for the tearooms, and enjoy your time there. and if you can't get in/they're closed, the bar does a great pint too :)
J. L.
Same old coach. Good people. Good booze. As normal as it could have been. Easy enought to get a walk in.
E. T.
Great food (we ordered the vegan fish and chips), service was slow but we came at a busy time and the owner apologized several times and gave us free drinks. Would definitely go again, maybe when a little less busy though. Oh, and the fish and chips were like proper pub food!
C. H.
A bit of a Soho institution which looks like it hasn't changed since Francis Bacon used to drink there. London's first vegetarian restaurant is upstairs and a cockney knees up twice a week. Toilets aren't for the faint hearted but it's a good pub full of locals and plenty of atmosphere.
K. D.
Excellent Vegan Food! Call ahead for a reservation because this place is popular. When you arrive tell the bartender in the pub you are there for the restaurant. They will then lead you to a secret stairway to the restaurant upstairs. The pub is popular and is usually standing room only.
A. L.
As a long time vegetarian I've known about this pub that serves a full veg menu for a while but due to the many choices around Soho I didn't try it for almost 10 years! Anyway finally tried it on a very wet night when everywhere was just packed. We walked in and was confused by how packed and chirpy the pub crowd was singing around the piano. We walked back out wondering where the dining area was. I ventured back inside to ask one of the patrons to find out that the stair case was behind the bar. We went up to find the dining area was about 40 percent full and much more chilled than the pub below. We promptly ordered the Tofush & Chips (served with fresh peas and homemade tartare sauce) and the sausage and mash (which is served with Onion Rings). There are three types of gravy to choose from - all onion based. We really loved the Tofush & Chips as the tofu was wrapped in seaweed before being fried in batter which was translucent (not too thick). The sausage lacked the texture of "sausage" which meant the whole dish was closer texture to that of the mash but it tasted good - I think the onion rings brings out a different texture to the dish but as I don't eat onion it's hard to say for sure. All in all - I do recommend this pub grub for veggies! It is both vegetarian and vegan friendly with no contamination from any meat as no meat served at all!
J. H.
A classic Soho pub with some of the friendliest staff and punters that I've seen (late afternoon on a Saturday), feels like a old school local pub. I wish that I could've stayed til the singsongs later 😋
Instead we signed the petitions to avoid it becoming a brewery led tourist theme pub!
V. G.
Vegan fish and chips is alright and the burgers are good. Onion rings also good. Good atmosphere and there's a dining only area upstairs -make sure you book to guarantee a place.
B. T.
Vegan pub food, that also does afternoon tea. The portion sizes are generous, and the food tasted nice. One of the few places where you can try tofish and chips.
D. O.
A legendary Soho pub, which still reflects its 60s to 80s heyday when it was full of literary & journalistic characters. A very good pint of Fuller's London Pride.
T. R.
Love this place. Piano sing a long evey Wednesday and Saturday is great and they have a number of craft beers on tap alongside the real ales.
a. m.
I came to the pub today and I had pie and mash and while I enjoyed the food I couldn't get over how small the mash potion was and that was the only vegetable with the pie. I just think at that price the pub could spare to add some peas and a few carrots or a bit extra. I shouldn't leave a pub feeling still hungry after just having a meal.
S. F. L.
If you love singing classic cockney songs go on a Wednesday and a Saturday. So much fun!
The place itself is a bit rundown in areas (I had a hole the size of a crater in my chair for example) but the place it not about being nicely polished and all that la-de-da b******t It's about having a laugh.
Don't know much about the food but for atmosphere I'd definitely recommend it; whether that be for the whole evening or a few before you go somewhere else.
C. M. J.
Met some vegan friends here for dinner- was not looking forward to it, but was pleasantly surprised! The service was very good and he sweet potato pie was to die for!!! Highly recommend- and I’m an avowed carnivore!
E. K.
Weirdly dingy and not in a charming way so moved upstairs to the very sweet tea room to eat. Ordered to tofish and chips and it wasn't as great as expected; the batter and seaweed was nice but the tofu itself was bland. An item was missed off our order and only one member of staff smiled at us once. Might be tempted to go back for afternoon tea but not again for the main menu.
M. R.
Its a nice pub to visit after work or once you've finished a spot of shopping. Good selection of beers (expensive even for London) on tap and their bar food menu is above par - in particular the sharing platters. Staff are always friendly, gets very busy from 6pm onward Thursday - Saturday.
S. H.
Really nice atmosphere and some varied veggie and vegan options. Some of the food was a bit cold (the mash and chips on two different dishes) when it arrived. Pies were good though.
B. 8.
Vegan pub with plenty of charm.
Plant eaters will love this pub which has a vegan menu, including pies and tofish and chips. There's a a couple of nice black cats to keep patrons company, and the bar staff are friendly and relaxed.
Nearby the Harry Potter play and walking distance from the West End.
J. M.
A quintissential slice of London history, beloved by the literarti and glitterati, and assorted london faces over the years. Still has original brewery interior signage and bar. Missed the sing along, which runs Wednesday to saturday, of which ive heard great things. Ok beer selection, but thats not what you come here for, it's to see the great, the good, the bad and the ne'er do well side by side in one of the few traditional boozers left in central London.
E.
I had the tofush and chips which was very nice; the 'fish' is wrapped in seaweed and then battered so it tastes very 'real'. It came with homemade vegan tartar sauce which again tasted very authentic and was delicious.
We ordered the superfood salad to share, but were disappointed as it was mostly baby spinach leaves instead of actual substance (a few pieces each of broccoli, tofu and avocado, which we had hoped would be the bulk of the meal); if either of us had ordered it as our main meal we would have been very disappointed, especially for almost £12.
We also ordered the five bean burger but were brought the mushroom burger; the waitress didn't write anything down when I gave the order which is fine if it works but it evidently didn't. It was lucky that my friend isn't vegan because the mushroom burger comes topped with cheese.
The service was bad - we were there early and it wasn't busy but they didn't seem to care whether we enjoyed the food or not. It sort of felt as though they were trying to go for an edgy Shoreditch pub vibe where they almost ignore the customers, but for an old vegetarian pub in Soho it just didn't suit them and it came across as bad service. The food was very nice - proper pub chips, great fish - but again, £12 for fish and chips is expensive. I wouldn't go back.
S. T.
Crowded bar on friday. Very popular and social.
H. S.
The bartender Harry was so sweet and gave me and my friend a ton of great recommendations for our visit! The drinks were delicious and affordable. Great spot to check out in the area!
R. F.
Nice pub that Jeffrey Bernard used to drink in. The setting was used for the play Jeffrey Bernard is Unwell. Some nice lagers on tap and a place to sit outside. It's a slice of old soho that is slowly disappearing. They serve vegan food. When it gets late you do get a lot of begging if you sit outside. But definitely work a visit to experience a bit of history and drink a decent pint.
Z. l.
Really great pub in the heart of Soho. All the food is vegetarian which is great. I had the Tofish and chips which was amazing. The little layer of sea weed gives it a real 'sea air' taste. Fantastic.
S. T.
A proper london pub in the heart of Soho, if you can time it right and catch an evening with Magic Betty on the piano, your definitely have a night to remember. Absolutely brilliant and great fun.
L.
Coming as vegan one day to London. So we searched a place to eat. So we searched this place and we had eaten Vegan fish and chips.
I never had vegan fish. But WAUW ! This was amazing.
Really worth coming here. Really enjoyed the food and the tea!
Wauw. This was a experience to never forget.
Thank you very much.

Great staff, good with kids from what I saw, friendly and welcoming, the atmosphere was warm and relaxed. Everyone there is friendly and easy to get on with. Can't fault it, nice little pub!
P. L. L.
In the pub (not in the secret tearoom), we Could Feel exactly like david and jack at the slaughtered lamb.
John Landis could film American Werewolf in London here.
Deep silence and cold. We can hear ourselves chew.
Decent faux fish and chips. Brilliant tartar sauce.
Please, a bit if music.
L. T.
Delicious sausage and mash and the gravy MMmmmm! Also had an Australian Merlot which was so good but I don't know the name of it, so nice! Can anyone tell me what it might have been? Wasn't too overcrowded in there and nice staff. Been dying to try the tofush and chips, hopefully next time.
s. a.
A vegan pub is a nice surprise in London! If you also like cats it's a plus. Food ok, ambience fun and informal. We'll certainly get back there when in london
C. M.
Wonderful old London pub, lots of history, Faded glory, secret tea rooms. Singing bohemian rhapsody on the piano with the whole pub in full harmony on a Monday night! I haven't laughed so much in years.....
B. E.
London's first vegetarian (and vegan-friendly) pub is a fun small place to visit. The service can vary, from the enthusiastic to the uninterested, but it's a haunt of writers, journalists... and musicians about to play in a West End pit. You'll more than likely want to eavesdrop. Food-wise, the tof-ish and chips is a great variation on the battered English staple.
P. E.
Excellent traditional pub serving delicious vegetarian and vegan food. Superb staff and atmosphere. An unexpected gem in the heart of London's theatreland. Brilliant!
S. P.
Busy but good drinks and atmosphere.
N. S.
Ok, so it's not much to look at from the outside. Truth is, it's not much to look at from the inside either. The draw for this pub is the INCREDIBLE piano man, taking requests all night long every night (with hits like 'Total Eclipse of the Heart' and 'Bohemian Rhapsody'). Prepare to stand (limited seating), but enjoy some cheap and cheerful pints for an otherwise pretty overpriced area.
F. D.
Lovely setting, wonderful British themed food. Vegan options aplenty - tofush and chips, veggie burger. The tearoom upstairs serves afternoon tea with a wonderful selection of loose leaf teas.
A. G.
Who knew there's a vegetarian and vegan pub in London? We had a fantastic meal of 'sausage' and one of the best soups I've ever had. I highly recommend it.
B. L.
The best of pub retreats in Soho.Still has a bohemian buzz.I'm old enough to remember the Private Eye lunches when motley journalists would lurch their unsteady way up the stairs by the bar to grass up dodgy politicians

A true gem in soho. More real than the rest of the glass/chrome/neon/gin places that are everywhere. However... After waiting for way too long for a drink (the staff were busy larking about and drinking shots) and they knew I was there, I had to just go. You can witness happening with other people so must be the accepted norm. I will be back though!
K. P.
I would give it 3.5 if possible. It's quite a cheap dinner at less than £20. I had the chickpea pie and a friend had the tomatoes and potatoes pie. I preferred the latter. We were not hungry enough to try their signature tofish. I would come back.
B. B.
Good, proper pub. Rubbish toilets with graffiti, that's when you know it's real. Yeah.
A. M.
Seemingly nothing special when you walk in, but upstairs is a brilliant vegetarian restaurant. Tofush and chips, pies, and burgers. All top quality. However, it is a little over priced... Beers available are okay.. often run out of the nicer ones.
J. P. (.
Vegan pub. :) Loving it and went back 2x in one month for the upstairs.
Update: Went for a drink and was overcharged by bar staff. Also, bad service and not great beer selection. Won't go back.
J. M.
Got in there me and colleague/chum and met the most remarkable woman behind the bar. I cannot stress how good this lady is at hospitality...changed my day as was setting out for 3 hour journey which j did with a skip in my step!! Go there!
J. G.
Totally authentic London boozer. Piano available if you so wish to twinkle on the ivories. Someone did whilst we were there and it was good.
R. K.
A famous drinking place which hasn't changed! Sit on the same stool where Peter otoole drank with Francis bacon and Tom baker rowed with Jeffrey Bernard. This pub is steeped in history and Norman is overlooking it al...
J. T.
One of the most authentic pubs left in Central London
D. O.
Having not been here for quite a while, it was a real pleasure to have a beautifully kept pint of Burning Sky, Plateau. Not the cheapest, but my friend played the piano, and got a sitting ovation!
V. S.
When I saw that such a thing as a vegetaraian pub existed, whilst looking at restaurants reviews before the last trip to London, I immediately wanted to visit it, and so we went there especially (not that it required much, as it's right in Soho).
It's a nice pub as many others with a good selection of taps, but the bonus, as a vegetarian, of having the entire menu (albeit not a big one) "to myself", is quite refeshing!
I had the vegy sausages with mash, which was a success! the sausages, made of various vegetables (and nuts and cheese, according to the online menu), were crispy on the outside as fried food should be, but not oily and just well made. Combined with the mash & gravy, it was a simple - with a twist - and enjoyable dish.
Grilled polenta with artichokes on the other side of the table was pretty good, although we both thought that another kind of sauce, instead of tomato, would compliment it better.
Definitely would return next time I'm in London to try other things.
L. R. F.
The food was better than good, maybe not quite great, but fast, vegetarian and vegan, and delicious. Service could be best described as the friendliest terrible service I've ever received. Just slow, confusing and awkward. But the staff was sweet as pie.
D. M.
Best night is Monday when a fantastic choir pop in after rehearsals and have an impromptu sing a long around the piano- sometimes the other punters join in. The toilets need attending to and sometimes the tonic in tap doesn't taste right.
D. S.
Legendary place, the former home of Norman Balon, “London’s rudest landlord”. Actually he wasn’t rude, he just didn’t suffer fools, of whom there are many, gladly. Like the time I fluffed my lines while making an order and was told to leave for “Wasting my f***ing time!” Norman’s name is now on the sign outside and the interior has been lovingly retained unrefurbished with signs advertising Double Diamond still hanging over the bar. It was the location for Keith Waterhouse’s play “Jeffrey Bernard is Unwell”, which I was lucky enough to see with Peter O’Toole in the starring role. I’m told the vegetarian food is good but I’ve only ever gone in there to drink.
k. k. s. c.
May this place remain as it is and never change. The cheap decor, the wonderful satirical cartoons, the memories of its legendarily rude landlord, Norman, still loom large, and long May they do so! Steeped in British comedy, TV, and theatre history, immortalised in a play ... (And a secret tea room, and vegan menu too ...) This is Soho.
S. D.
Old fashioned London pub with great selection of beers, friendly staff and, for us, vegan comfort food (tofush and chips, pie and mash). Well worth a visit!
J. P.
Old school literary boozer. Decent pints poured. Does not appear to have been tarted up since Jeffrey Bernard propped up the bar in the old days. Good!
E. C.
Amazing pub grub. I had the vegan fish and chips and went back the next day for bangers and mash. Friendly staff and atmosphere too.
N. W.
Cute and charming pub with a good selection of drinks. Wednesday and Saturdays have locals playing the piano with some classics and encourage you to sing along!
M. B.
Lovely cozy venue in the heart of the city. Very friendly staff with excellent knowledge on thier nice variety of drinks. Highly recommended!!
D.
Nice little boozer, friendly staff. Male toilets a bit of a squeeze!
E. B.
Great tofish and chips, friendly staff and lovely cats!
B. G.
Great vegan and vegetarian food and a range of beers and ciders. Traditional pub downstairs with a lovely tea room upstairs. Recommended.
M. K.
Unusually quiet for this part of town with a secret tea room upstairs. Only had mulled wine (lovely) but will definitely be back for deliciously sounding pub vegab food ^_^
J. C.
Ive been using this place for years its great
M. S.
Excellent vegan food, decent selection of drinks not expensive for the area, lovely staff. Upstairs dining room is definitely worth a visit
K. J. M.
Vegan food, and there is a secrete tearoom upstairs ;))
M. C.
Proper booze. Friendly and authentic in the heart of Soho. An actual Soho institution.
M. D.
The vegan fish and chips were exceptional!
F. F.
Was there 2 years ago and it was the best pub i ever have been to! Fantastic service and owner. Really good with kids.
R. C.
A solid central London pub, with the twist that all food served is vegetarian and vegan. I am neither but it was a nice change of pace and really enjoyed the tofinger sandwich (vegan fish finger sandwich).
M. V. A.
Tofish and chips is a great idea for a dish, but the tofu block they use was very big compared to the breading which made the taste a bit bland. Cat is very cute though.
D. W.
Back in the day it served as a Mecca to active alcoholism. Something of a museum piece now. Some still make the pilgrimage, but it was always the people rather than the place that gave it character.
N. Z.
Lots of fun to sing along to the piano. Cool piano bar but quite small and busy so if you're quite chlostrophobic you may not like it
I. K.
Real pub with an authentic feel in an increasingly gentrified area. Very nice veggie food and the room atop the main bar area is a quaint hidden gem.
f. w.
They serve some nice pies!
C. L.
Great place for a cheeky pint, and gets the sun alot of the day!
R. M.
Awesome pub with a great beer selection, really friendly staff, AND VEGAN PUB FOOD! One our London favs for sure.
I. T.
Their Christmas Menu seems really nice. Some of the meals are an interesting choice but I believe that we are going to enjoy them.
I like the area when the restaurant is situated.
K. T.
Nice beer and friendly atmosphere
C. S.
Friendly pub, nice and helpful staff. Nice atmosphere not to overpriced for London.
D. P.
mist admit we rolled on for the vegan food. the sing along and a visit from Clarence made our night
n. p.
Tofush & chips!!! You need to make three separate visits to the Coach & Horses for the full experience. Once for the delicious vegan Tofush & chips (and a pint obviously) secondly, when they have the cockney singalong at the piano (probably 3 pints necessary to really get into it) and thirdly to go to the secret tearoom. (Sneak a pint on the way in/out)
T. G.
Reliable boozer - extra star for the friendly cat!
🐈 = +1 🌟
S. D.
Great pub in Soho 👍
T.
Nice athmospheric pub with vegeterain and vegan food. Reasonable prices. They have also 2 cats who lives there. :)
J. W.
Good place for a few quiet drinks. Great staff. Don't put drinks on the piano. Music is good.
B. T.
Not a bad little pub nice selection of beers do you want to drink before going into the Harry Potter show then you're right next to it
M. R.
Very nice bar and staff
s. r.
Great beer, nice people and the staff were very accommodating!! :) Love the vibe a proper drinkers pub! Love it!! Keep it up Holly!
G. S.
Service was great. Standard drink selections. The bar area was not terribly warm, so dress accordingly if it is cold out and you plan to stay for awhile.
A. J.
I have really special affection to that place. We really enjoy drinking beer there with friends on Friday evening. A pub that represent the true English spirit!
R. T.
Vegan pub, the owner was a bit rude to my friend and the beer was expensive even for Soho (I ordered a pint of leffe and it was £7.20) but cosy atmosphere and was very fun for watching the England game
M. J.
The Coach and Horses, 29 Greek Street, Soho, London is a Grade II listed[1] pub, notable for its association with the columnist Jeffrey Bernard, the staff of Private Eye magazine, other journalists and as a haunt for Soho personalities. Its former Landlord, Norman Balon, became famous too – in part for his self-proclaimed title of "London's rudest landlord", but also, presumably, because of his proximity to writers who documented his actions and anecdotes and
D. N.
A proper pub, lovely staff, even the odd regular.
A. G.
Traditional looking English pub but all food is vegan.. probably should have researched this before stopping in for a pint and some bar snacks!
T. S.
Had a great night there on a Saturday after a show. Magic Betty was on the piano, she was very entertaining and there was a cracking atmosphere
C. L.
Great food! They say its the only vegetarian/vegan pub in London. We had their pie wich was just great!
C. P.
Has an old charm with celebrities having visited in the past put up in photo frames. Small but good English pub.
P. B.
Fantastic place reminded me instantly how Soho used to be will definitely be going back to this one fantastic staff lovely warm atmosphere well recommended.

Everyone having a singsong around the ol'joanna. Decent Czech lager on tap. Lovely place to spend a Monday evening.

Great food, really kind staff, just a little absent minded. 40 minutes to get our food, forgot to bring us water at all. Really nice people though!
T. T.
Been to this place a few times now and as always great service from the team, nice atmosphere too and Food is always really good
C. M.
A wonderful vegetarian restaurant that has lots of choices but is reasonably priced. The member of staff was fantastic. I'll definitely go back soon.
A. L.
Incredible place! Do go on the singalong nights, you'll feel the warmest, happiest small-town atmosphere; right in central London.
M.
Busy pub but quick service, rare quality. Can't fault. Whilst not massive, ample room. Function room upstairs.
J. A.
Cosy and quirky, with good selection of hearty veggie & vegan pies for Sunday dinner. Lovely pub kitty as well!
A. U.
Not a big fan of their signature dish. It was mostly a tofu block wrapped in seitan. Their portion size was good.
A. W. (.
Nice tofish and chips (vegan fish and chips) but not the best - not that fishy. Still, I hope they don't close the place down, as seems to be on the cards.
K. H.
Great soho pub, with a good mix of characters. Nice to see couple of craft beers on the taps.
M. D.
Great atmosphere and a proper pub still with excellent vegan and vegetarian food - and the secret tea room upstairs.
O. M.
One od tej first totally vegetarian/vegan pub in London. Friendly and relaxed atmosphere (numerous cats help with that).
M. K.
Great atmosphere friendly pub
E. L.
Handy little drinking spot, with sing along piano playing in the evening, a bit dingy though and in need of a refurb. Secret tea room on the top floor.
M. M.
Classic boozer that hasn't changed a bit
K. S.
It's a nice pub.
D. H.
Great old fashioned pub. Fuller's beer, piano and vegan comfort food all in good supply.

M. F.
Wonderful welcoming and genuine British pub. Friendly and warm owner who made us feel welcome and right at home
C. Z.
Good pub grub, recommend

I’m not a vegetarian but these pies are awesome!!! Great value place friendly service would definitely recommend to anyone not just veggies!
T. B.
Tea room above pub, good vegan menu. Go into pub and stairs behind the bar leading up
L. L.
Authentic, old-fashioned London pub in the heart of Soho. Friendly, relaxing and a few good beers
R. P.
Food was awesome. Too bad our order didn't end up in the kitchen until we asked about what's taking so long. The waitress forgot to send it...
j. t.
Lovely live piano Music wed&saturday.
M. S.
Old fashioned gay bar with a few famous faces but small so gets very noisy when busy with little seating available
I. M.
Nice friendly pub. No credit cards though so make sure you've got plenty of cash!
S. S.
Great spot for a pint in Soho, with a quieter upstairs room to eat. Friendly staff at the bar.
B. B.
Just poped in last week with my friends. The food was lovely, and the two person who served me, Matt and Mate, were super helpful.
D. K.
Busy and full of germ carriers....
S. R.
Brilliant night here for a friends celebration. A singalong hosted by performers Baz and Dave was a definite highlight.
E. O.
Beware, not serving food anymore. Could someone remove the “now serving vegetarian comfort food” text in the details on Google?
D. W.
Cosy place for a drink and watching the crowds
C. K.
Fun and historical pub with sing-a-long on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Friendly local crowd, must visit!
S. F.
Great boozer, girls that work there make the place

Absolutely loved it, Vegan Fish n chips, served with peas and tartate sauce ( all vegan) Will definately be back
C. R.
Becky and Nicole are such sweet bartenders :) nice staff good drinks!!!!!!! Go here for a good time
M. S.
It's a rather nice pub with a lot of atmosphere. It would rate higher than this but it's often so packed it's nearly impossible to get in and move around.
I. C.
Best pub in Soho, hands down! Steeped in history and always fun. Love you guys.
C. F.
Absolutely love the little restaurant above the pub. The place is gorgeous and the food is super yummy.
P. O.
I know it's famous and all that but the place is just too packed. We'll it has been the last couple of times I've been. A victim of its m success
A. H.
A brilliantly old fashioned pub straight out of the 1970s. Complete with Skol and Double Diamond advertising above the bar.
J. H.
Lovely vegetarian and vegan menu, very nice place with friendly staff and excellent value too!
I. M.
Good Soho pub, but not as good as it once was. Definitely less "characters" than there once was.
J. S.
Very cozy in the back room. Love the comfy chairs. The skylight is nice on rainy days.
H. B.
Delicious! Great vibe! ❤️
A. M.
One of last proper pubs in this area of London. Vegetarian ( food) friendly too.
R. S.
This place is a walk back in time with a definite retro feel. However, the state of the chairs were beyond acceptable and need replacing.
S.
Great staff and a sing a long round the piano what more can you ask for from a pub?
E. D.
Great late lunch. Super comfortable to just chat and eat. Nice bartender. Tasty food.
N. R.
A nice pub with room to sit, and best of all, no music playing to drown out conversation.
R.
Best pub ever, good food and choice of drinks. Go on a Wednesday night!
A. O.
Most disgusting filthiest toilet I've ever seen in a bar or a restaurant in my life you really need to sort it out other than that perfect

The genuine pub experience with great vegan options. We’ll be back!
