Reviews of The Colton Arms

Great little pub!
The menu is quite interesting! Vegan option was different and nice!! A place we will go back!
s. 1.
Just visited today with my best mate. What a place ! Quirky little Pub that opens up into a lovely place.Had a few Pints then had dinner.
Hannah the Boss is absolutely lovely and Tom who works behind the Bar and bus tables is a really nice genuine helpful off the Wall person. The Chef is called Max who works with one other who I didn't get the name of.Anyway the food is incredible,I had the Half Poussin and it was without doubt the best dish I have ever eaten in a Pub and then the Cheese Board was amazing with proper big pieces of three cheeses and enough for not One but probably Three people. My new favourite Pub in the whole of London. Outstanding.
E. T.
One of my favourite spaces in West London. Very nice staff & atmosphere. Very good food and then there's the ambience from the carved wooden panels.... Being immediately adjacent to the LTA's Queen's Club is not shabby either. Lovely spot.
R. N.
Wonderful and cosy little local pub. They have a small garden space which may all be occupied already thanks to its tiny size, but even then its just an amazing pub. Service was happy and helpful. Food was good too. And beers/G'nT very much above average. Easy to recommend.
I. R.
Called up easily at last minute after finding out that the pub re-opened. Very helpful staff and incredibly homely. We live close by and it’s the best pub in the area. Highly recommend.
k. n.
Great pub, so accommodating. Lovely and attentive staff and best food in the area. Lovely outside beer garden too!
J. S.
Perfect meal with perfect ambient. Hired for my engagement. Chef Max and Jack both were helpful and great at whole arrangements. Nice meals and courtesy was at its best.
G. R.
Stumbled across this pub while wandering around the local and had a gastronomic experience with the beetroot gnochi with horseradish sauce.
A pleasant pun-rich environment with artifical songbirds, heraldic arms and abstract modernistic paintings.
S. H.
Proper little pub with loads of character. We only stopped in for a swift pint, but I have heard good things about the food and the sausage rolls looked great (and enormous).
J. M.
Fantastic pub, everything you could want from delicious gastro pub food, friendly service and loads of character and charm throughout. Definitely recommend a meal here anytime

This is our first visit to the Colton, we came for Burns night. The Scallop and Arbroath smokey was delicious, followed by Haggis, neeps and tatties, then followed by the lamb breast, with the choice of Whisky in between courses to compliment the food.
The whole evening was fantastic, staff were very attentive, service was outstanding, well done guys, and compliments to the chef.
Such a wonderful relaxed atmosphere, the abundance of Whisky was never ending, great care being taken to explain each Whisky on offer, told with passion and knowledge.
To end the evening with desert and fried Mars bar, guests being sent home with a small flask of whisky. Thanks to everyone who made the evening possible.

Popped in yesterday (Sunday) for a pint and a bite to eat... had heard a lot of good things about their Sunday roasts.. Needless to say, i wasn't disappointed. Decided to opt for the crown of pigeon with all the trimmings and it was exquisite. Yorkshire's were very good and the potato's nice and crispy with lashings of gravy. A must on a decent roast! Will certainly be back to try the beef! Very friendly staff too, particularly the American chap. Also, very dog friendly which is a plus :)

Best roast I’ve had in london. Great veggie options. Cosy pub vibe with outside area. Good service would highly recommend
P. M.
Cosy pub with great food and service. The Fig and Almond tart is amazing. The hake with nduja and onglet with chimichuri and shallot salad is recommended
J. P.
A very friendly 'Local' with great staff and fabulous food. Very cosy indeed but even in these days of Covid a very responsible approach for the safety of customers and staff. The best Sunday roast around. Big generous serving of succulent roast beef served great selection of seasonal vegetables and hot gravy. Can't ask for anything more! Our fav!
R. M.
Quirky local pub with a great range of beers and wine. Ive only been a couple of times but it gets a great friendly clientele and the bar staff are also lovely (shows football too!). Yet to try the food however the bar snacks (fresh homemade sausage ait rolls / chicken scotch eggs) are clearly a big pull for locals as it suddenly got busier as tbese appeared at 5pm. Will definately be a regular and back for a meal.
F. G.
Charming pub, friendly service. They make great Sunday roasts too.
C. W.
Disappointed with the food
Staff were brilliant very pleasant
Excellent beer
A. K.
Beer in good form and friendly welcome.
A. A.
Great Pub to do a small party. Polite stuffs. Great venue. Located in quite area.
L. M.
Lovely cosy pub with very attentive staff and a great selection of food and drink on offer. The staff have done a great job with adapting to the runnings in these times and everything felt very safe and secure - visited with a group of friends on Saturday and were looked after attentively by the new manager who was very knowledgeable with menu recommendations. Will definitely be back soon!
S. M.
Went for Sunday lunch, really nice place and welcoming atmosphere. We all had the roast - the beef had to be sent back as it was so chewy (could just have been bad luck) but it was dealt with brilliantly and otherwise it was probably the best roast I've had in a pub. The chicken was delicious and highly recommended it. Will go back again.
V. B.
We had a very good sunday roast, very reasonable price too. Comfortable and good service. Nice atmosphere and airy setting. Will go again
T. G.
Pleasant enough, and the meat was fantastic (as advertised). Happy friendly staff and a comfortable atmosphere.
Ok selection of beer (wouldn't have minded a broader set though), good gins.
D. R.
Honestly, the best duck I’ve ever had. Perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned, all round 10/10 evening.
M. H.
My first time in here (after driving past it on many occasions!) A rather pleasant pub. The bar is about 3 feet from the entrance so care is needed as you enter! Beer quality is reasonable. Worth a visit 👍😊
C. M.
Fantastic pub! It is our local and is a firm favourite of ours, whether for a casual drink or a hearty sunday roast. Cosy in winter and with a cute garden and airy conservatory in the summer, it ticks all the boxes. We hosted a private party in the garden there recently which was absolutely perfect - delicious food, fantastic service and the perfect setup. The team looked after us so well both in organising the event and on the day. Thank you so much! Definitely 5* from me!
L. C.
Love this place. A smallish locals pub without the glare as you walk in the door as if "you're not from round these parts". Friendly staff, and great for anything from having a pint with mates, to date night, to having dinner with the other half's folks for the first time. Top notch. But wish they put Landlords back on tap.
F. S.
Really great job on doing up the pub. There's a lovely beer garden, good menu, and was busy even on a Wednesday. My only issue is that the service was super slow (although they were very nice about it and kept us watered and updated).
J. P.
Slightly more restaurant than pub, at least on the Saturday night I visited. A shame because the pub bit was cosy, friendly and had good beer - but only had room for about 12 people. I suspect Monday nights might be a different story, but on attempting to find somewhere to drink my pint, I was told tables were booked a week in advance, so it's not exactly your friendly local boozer.
J. C.
A lovely cosy pub with a great community atmosphere and fantastic service.
Ordered a pink hypo sour which was a lovely rhubarb cocktail unique to this humble pub.
Highly recommend
A. P.
Inviting, warm and cosy local with quality 👌gastropub food! Had the new years dinner meal there, excellent service and strong flavours - the mushroom puree and potato fondant as sides to the superbly cooked beef wellington were particular standouts. Great for a quick drink/meal or a longer arvo session too. Great service!
E. A.
Beautiful spot. Great location. Very local feel but clearly considerate of quality and atmosphere. Large enough to hold parties and cosy enough to hang around with a mate after a long day in the office. Wine selection is impressive and the food is great too. Natural light at the back is a huge plus. Definitely coming again
L. P.
Visited The Colton tonight. Food was fantastic, hot, tasty. Locally sourced. Wine menu is excellent - especially well priced and accessible for this area. New Local for sure!!!
Decor is cosy, comfortable, clean, well placed. Not twee. The right side of Gastro pub.
James the Manager, is exactly who you need to be running it. Very relaxed, knowledgeable. making you feel welcome, unhurried and nothing it too much trouble. Especially great menu for coeliacs. Knows EXACTLY what’s in the food and how it’s cooked.
THANK YOU :)
G. M.
Nice small pub. Only had a beer at the bar but seemed a nice friendly pub. Nice outdoor space at the back as well. Would recommend a visit if you're in the area
W. M.
Recently renovated, now offers a strong menu and has started taking credit and debit cards. Quiz evenings on Mondays are particularly good (and popular). Good range of beers and wines. Beer garden and dining area.
A. N.
Staff were lovely. We took in our 7 week old baby and they were super accommodating. Decor is amazing. Food was so-so (one in three had an amazing meal; the other two were alright), but would come back for just the service.
I. Ø.
This pub is my local and has a lot of charm. Ita been running in the same location for over 200 years, and the current owner , who also work at the bar himself, has been here since the mid 60s. Worth a visit for an authentic experience. Cash only, however there is a corner shop 100 meters away "my shop" with an ATM in it. It does have a beer garden and a TV.
O. S.
Good to see an old pub revived. Great food and selection of beers and wine. On the downside, the piped music is totally unnecessary (the atmosphere is better without it) and the loos are not nearly as clean (including polished brass pipes!) as they were under the old management.
D. S.
Brilliant service warm friendly neighbourhood pub. Great food they grow own salad items and vegetables good choice of ales and lagers. 10 out of 10
J. L. H.
I have been three times with my husband, family and friends and enjoyed all of them. Friendly staff, nice environment and good pub food.
F. T.
This is a nice place for a quick lunch or a meeting with friends. The outdoors seating is a nice option but the seats might have been a bit more comfortable. The service is on a top level so there is nothing to complain about.
C. K.
Lovely newly refurbished pub with a cosy bar, airy restaurant area and small patio. Food is good, too. Unfortunately not wheelchair accessible, no high chairs or baby changing table.
L. A.
Great local pub, reasonable priced and has Sipsmith as their house gin. What's not to like - there's even an open fire. I'm looking forward to returning for food at some point.
D. T.
Beer okay, don't know if it was a local, I was obviously sitting where he wanted to, a polite request to ask me to move would have been nice, but no ! Plenty of room in the pub, he sits near me, couldn't make it more obvious!
Y.
Gorgeous bar, and such a friendly atmosphere inside, helped a lot by a fantastic bar owner. Be warned, you will need to plan your visit around the owner's afternoon siesta - but if you can find it open you're in for a treat!
P. W.
Cosy pub + food ;staff are really helpful. New owners have kept the bar atmosphere , but added food and a courtyard. Well worth a visit - or two
E. C.
Tiny local pub, feels like a village local once you get inside. Interesting historical features and friendly bar man who has ran for years. Not always open. Reasonable wine selection
O. G.
If in search of a good local pub with fantastic company and friendly staff look no further! A perfect balance between exceptional customer service and well executed customer service, it could only be improved by staying open longer 😉
J. M.
Friendly staff, cute courtyard garden. Popped in for drinks but the menu looks delicious. Will have to come back to try.
A. G.
Great job on the refurbishment. Delightful pub and restaurant with a good selection of beer (including craft) and tasty looking food. Looking forward to returning.
F.
Gorgeous pub fare, eatery at back of pub where it opens out in terms of space. Front bar has an old fashioned pub feel, authentic and traditional with friendly pleasant service
D. S.
This is a new favourite. Open coal fire. Good local people.
I. L.
Great pub, food looks lovely but pricey do haven't eaten there
M. T.
Great place, lots of beers options, but couldn’t eat anything at that time. Plan to come back to experience more, but definitely recommend this place to anyone, really.
T. D.
Great food, nice staff and cosy setting. Solid stake game on a Thursday and a good quiz on Mondays. Bottoms up.
R. J.
Intimate, with some amazing traditional architectural features. Staff are wonderful and the food is excellent!

G. B.
A pub for red trouser wearers like any other in Fulham. Not what it was when John was running it pre refurb.
M. H.
Beautiful pub. Cosy both indoors and outdoors
L. H.
Great place, lovely atmosphere and very friendly staff.
Food is excellent.
Highly recommended
M. B.
Seems to have given over too much space to the restaurant. No space in the bar so we sat in the restaurant aware we could be asked to move at any time.
R. M.
Lovely local pub/restaurant with little sunny garden. Really enjoyed the food too.
A. N.
Great pub, nice atmosphere, friendly staff, nice beer & food

Under new management (and ownership). The pub itself is very pretty, and now the food has considerably improved. Original and generous dishes. We had the white onion soup and bavette with café de Paris butter, both great. The frangipane tart was also delicious and very well executed. The wine list could really do with improvement to make justice to the food they serve.
M. M.
