Great place to go to sink a few pity more people won't give it a try the new owners are really determined to wipe out the bad image allowed to build up due to previous management's bad running hopefully the young lady running the newly named THE DOVE will get local support and become a wonderful community pub for locals old and new to meet and form friendships

We popped into the pub on Sunday afternoon, the pub had such an amazing atmosphere the staff were brilliant and friendly. Iv lived on Friday bill for over 15 years and this is my local. I was happy to see it reopen under new management and what now is a lovely clean kept pub. We did want to sit in the garden and join in the amazing event that was happening although we could see it from the table we were seated at j side the pub. There was a complete sold out drag event everyone body seated and following covid which is always good to see. We was gutted we hadn’t seen the promoting of this event as were following the old Facebook page. We did have a chat to the manager who promised us a few more events and maybe a little bit of live music and a live band once covid is lifted. Again would like to congratulate the management and the team for being so brilliant first class service. Thank you

Friendly staff but tables need sanding and vanishing grass needs cutting and lots of cigarette ends on the grass. Such a shame as could be a lovely garden

Great pub, lovely atmosphere and welcoming staff. They love dogs as well which ups the stakes for us, as we have two. Could do with a good cleaner though. We could recommend a very good one.

Tasty food, friendly staff, huge beer garden with lots of tables and benches and entertainment for the kids. Unfortunately the glasses weren't clean and there something floating in my drink. There was also a problem with the grill which meant our food took ages and we weren't informed, but it was great once it arrived. Nice pub just a bit rough around the edges.

Decided to try the Dovecote at last. Easter Sunday. Two bouncy castles, trampoline, Easter egg hunt and bbq. Kids and grown ups all had a smashing time. Food was good, beer was good. Only negative was one or two of the bar staff looked like they wished they were somewhere else.

On a very hot day this place hit the spot. A nice large play area for children with bouncy castle, trampoline etc whilst we could sit and watch and have a nice cold Moretti!
