Beautiful and cosy gastro pub with a lovely beer garden. I had the mussels in white wine sauce which were fine but overpriced. A good third of them were empty and even if they hadn't been, 8,95 for a very tiny starter pot is a bit much. The bar staff wad lovely but the waitress catering to the tables was a bit inattentive and seemed pretty bored. Also had to "check" back with the bar and kitchen for several things that were clearly on the menu. Not sure whether she was new, had a bad day or simply couldn't be arsed. Other than that, lovely place.

First time I have been under this new management. I had vegan option sweet potato and chickpea curry followed by sticky toffee pudding with icecream. The meal along with the service very very good and I would go there again. Very happy 😊 😃

The duchess is a very strategic place between Hammersmith and Chiswick, beautiful decoration, lovely staff and good food. Good place to watch matches and hang out with friends.

This is our favourite local pub! The Sunday lunch can't be beaten, Dave and his staff are funny and friendly, the spacing in the main bar is good, and the garden is a gorgeous place to spend a sunny afternoon. Huge additional kudos to them for diversifying as a Christmas tree shop and takeaway during lockdown!

Good Sunday roast, tender beef. The food is not expensive, I was pleased to find the London Pride (4.50). There is plenty of space inside, however the interior are very poor curated, it is just a big hall. Dogs allowed inside.

I really liked design of that place, attractive dining area, beautiful Xmas decorations together with wooden decadent look gave it a very cosy feeling. Fine spirit selection. No Heineken! Ordered camembert and baguette with herb and garlic butter. It was a starter for 1 but defo could feed 2 or more, it was a big rind of melting cheese, the baguette well spiced and balanced, crispy but not hard. My bf had fish and chips, I have to admit I'm not a particular fan of that dish but that one was really good. I liked my drink (they do doubles for £8,5 in cocktails) the stuff was friendly, the whole place very clean, small garden. Good place to visit with family, friends, or a date. Dunno how about kids but it's a dog friendly place so I assume toddlers would be well there also. 4 stars cause I've only been there once so far, defo will come bk tho!

We moved here a year ago and since then, Dave and his team have become our trusted local. The food is ace, service friendly, and the sunday roast is second-to-none. Lots of space inside and out, and somewhere id feel happy coming by myself or with my husband. Great pub!

The Duchess is an interesting local stuck in a sort of “no mans land” between Chiswick and Shepherd’s Bush. It’s a well turned out pub with clean and well maintained facilities. The staff are well trained and maintain a very professional approach. Not eaten here recently, but pop in for a drink after tennis at Hartswood once a week. It’s always got a good ambient feel. It’s a good venue for an occasion, party or work do! The Duchess is constantly innovating, sporting a dynamic approach in this challenging year, they have improved the outside spaces and built out the front of house in recent weeks. There is a formal dinning area and separate bar section with gardens either side. Drinks are served fast and you are remembered... What more do you want from a local? This pub is really efficient. They learn your name, and they know what you drink. As you walk in, they ask you what you want to drink and, by the time you're at your table, the drinks are there waiting for you. They work sooo hard. And it ain't fake, either. More than that, their prices are great - cos they're independent. Their chef is insanely gastronomic and wants a michelin star, but only at a gastro price. Damn. Wish all pubs were The Duchess! They make me proud.

Quickly seated by the manager when we found out that dining room was fully booked. We were seated at nicely sized table in the bar area of pub. Then bar staff and the manager were very attentive in the now busy Duchess. Our orders of steak for myself, and Cheesboard for my partner came out within about 15 mins and I must say the food was a delight My steak was perfectly cooked and toffee pudding was awesome. Overall fantastic pub great food, and hats of to the great staff and a manager who was working just as hard as the staff. If ya in the area The Duchess is a must for food or drink.

I went here during relaxed Covid restrictions and noted that they are behaving well with an attempted one way system, hand sanitisers and a number of places you can be that separate you from the other customers. I used a eat out to help out offer and so experienced the menu half price. The quality of the food for myself and our party had us agree that it is definitely worth the full price. I will visit again.

Had dinner and a few beers there tonight in the first day that pubs can reopen during the COVID crisis. Fantastic evening - great food, safe and well managed, helped by it being a large and airy pub. Was great to be back in the pub.

Popped in for a light bite on a Sunday. There was a reduced menu as there was Sunday lunch, but still a good choice. Staff were welcoming on arrival and very attentive. I had the prawn salad, which was excellent, with massive king prawns. The wife had vegetable soup, which appeared home made. Kids had chicken goujons and chips, which were large portions. chicken slightly overcooked but they ate it all, so can't have been too bad. Good selection of drinks, large venue. Would definitely go back.

I have tried the Sunday roast in three different pubs around the area. So far the best I've eaten for a decent price. The place is very nice and gives the impression to be in a gastropub. I put 4 stars instead of 5 because waitress was a bit cold

I only attended a meeting in the function room but the separate entrance allowed us to enter without disturbing the general pub, the stairs were clean and inviting and the bannisters looked like all had just been refurbished. The function room itself was clean and spacious, the chairs both ornate and comfortable. Based on the upstairs I feel confident to recommend this pub.

This pub has been taken over by the same people who had Flynn's on darling road. Food is absolutely amazing! Drinks are perfect. The decor is to die for! One of my favourites for sure! Well done guys, you've done and are doing an absolutely amazing job! 💕

Arrived at 8:40, they said the kitchen closed at 9 so it was fine for food, we were seated outside and told to order at the bar. Went to the bar at 8:50 and was initially told the bar was closed, and then a manager who was observing said it was fine... Had a burger, fish and chips and halloumi fries, they had run out of chicken strips and diet coke on tap. I paid for the first round and checked if my gf wanted diet coke or another drink on tap, I went back to the bar and ordered a bottle of diet coke (200ml). The first round was seemingly on 'eat out to help out' and they added an unknown service charge without giving me an itemised receipt. The diet coke they charged £2.30, which given it was supposed to be on 'eat out to help out' was either not applied or are charging £4.60 for 200ml of diet coke. The food was all just 'ok'. Service was fine. The outside is nice enough, but you still know you're next to a main road and it's nothing special.

Went in on Sunday and ordered 2 roast beefs with the Mrs. We left most of it. Meat and Yorkshire pudding were great. Can't say the same about the veg. Pudding was only £3 on top of the meal. My ice cream was great, the sticky toffee pudding was described by my girlfriend as like having the consistency of rice pudding. The strange thing is after trying it myself... She was spot on. Won't be returning for a Sunday roast. Visited this pub a few years ago and it had one of the best selections of cider of seen. Somehow this has changed to Magners and Strongbow. Dull, dull, dull. Does look like fair selection and beer, but I don't drink it so can't really comment. Was quite when we visited at about 2pm. The decoration is nice and the outside be is nice. Friendly staff.

Since I last visited, The Duchess feels a lot more homely and welcoming than before, the drinks menu is superb, and although I haven't tried the seasonal British pub food, I've heard from friends that it's really good. Best craft ale pub in the vicinity!

Great little Gem of pub located on a fork in the road junction off goldhawk road. Staff were welcoming and accommodating, the pub itself nice and spacious not like some other pubs who like to cram as many tables as possible! The fire place not only sets the realaxing atmosphere but warms even from the other side of the room. We decided to have lunch and the food was to a good standard with a nicely varied menu.

This pub has undergone extensive refurb. Now much more inviting visually. Good range of beers on draught and various less well known brands if gin and scotch. Really enjoyed the Orchard Thief cider on draught. Next time we'll try a meal as things looked busy. Access on 94 and 237 bus and Stamford Brook Underground.
