Thank you for a fantastic evening last night for our Christmas Dinner...staff were amazing and coped really well with such a large party, even amongst all the noise and rowdyness, they were really lovely and accommodating. Food was excellent and the table you set up was perfect. Great pub atmosphere and setting. Thanks again and Merry Christmas 🎅

What a great and amazing pub situated just off the main road. We were seated anywhere we liked and had to sign in for test and trace. You order via the website and there is a massive menu of cocktails and drinks as well as food. The tables were super clean and not sticky at all or anything. Great vibes outside with the tree and green all around. Drinks and snacks were amazing! Top recommend pub in the area!

Lovely place. We were looking for a pub with a good atmosphere and ended up in a pub where a man got glassed in the mug. Didn't do it for me and the missus. Looked for another one and ended up here. Great atmosphere. Good cocktails. Bloody Mary is delicious. Great food. The staff is friendly and warm and welcoming. Had a great Saturday. Actually I'm still there right now. Come down. Sick place. We had a great Sunday lunch here. When we arrived it was a little quiet which is usually not a great sign - not the case here at all. The food was incredible. Lovely tasty meat and the nut Roast was excellent. We also had some of the bread and some chips which were perfect. A lovely warming gravy and best of all the service we recieved was second to none. Like the food it was warm and we couldn't have recieved a more friendly welcome. We will be back for our Sunday lunch again and maybe a few drinks !

Perfect place to grab a pint with some friends after a long day. The atmosphere is great, Mark and Ethan have been great bartenders and are super friendly. It’s the kind of spot where when the lights come on you can’t help but feel a little disappointed that you can’t spend more time here.

This pub is great for groups. I love their garden, it’s well heated! The staff is kind and helpful, especially Vania is super nice. Food is delicious, try fish and chips it’s much better than so called London’s best.

Love this place! We have been having Christmas lunch here for several years running now and The Eagle never fails to disappoint. This year, there were 34 of us and despite that, the food and service was great and also amazing value. Highly recommend

The lovely manager welcomed us into the cosy and vibrant establishment. We sampled their cold draft beer and their delicious cocktails, Phoebe had 2 espresso martinis and she was chatting absolute waffle, what a nutter! 😂Due to the blisteringly cold January breeze we we’re apprehensive about migrating into the smoking area to satisfy our nicotine addictions, but we we’re astonished to find a spacious covered area with blazingly hot heat lamps. I would like to give a special mention to the selecta who was playing some absolute 10/10🔥 tunes

We were only here for a quick drink on a hot afternoon, but really enjoyed sitting in the lovely little outside area we were surprised they had. Dropped in here to watch the Champions League Final on Saturday. Despite its proximity to Old Street it wasn’t packed - a really nice balance of atmosphere and space. A gastropub, so the TVs don’t dominate the space. Staff and locals were really friendly and the food looked good. Want to visit again to try the food.

A fantastic historic pub, it still feels very traditional and yet is also very modern in its service and quality food. When we arrived the host was at the front, though their demeanor was acceptable and nothing more. We were asked to scan in on the NHS app or through the website for track and trace. We grabbed a seat and was handed a qr code to scan for the menu, but everything showed as out of stock with the exception of fish finger sandwiches. However, when we approached them, they gave us a paper copy and everything was actually available. The food was fantastic, could not complain about it at all which rescued the visit from an average one to a good one.

I was very upset to read such a recent scathing review of the team in the Eagle. I can assure everyone that this a long way off my experience of the place. We have been coming to this pub since the Lockdown easing last summer and again this April. The team have done a fantastic job of making you feel welcome and safe when you arrive and you genuinely think they are pleased to see you!! We've been at busy times and quieter times and the welcome and service is always the same- EXCELLENT. The menu caters for all food preferences and the drinks menu is extensive. Despite it's history (refer to Pop Goes the Weasle Nursery rhyme lyrics!) the vibe is young and the staff are super friendly and knowledgable. Although not in an area where most would wander during a pub crawl- make the journey- it's a hop and a skip from the Silicon Roundabout and Old Street tube. You won't be disaapointed.

Inside there is a dark wood panelled horseshoe bar and high arched windows which gives the pub a nice feel. Also there’s a corner entrance, I do love a pub with a corner entrance! If you’re partial to a G&T you’ll find an extensive menu with most doubles for under £10. Plenty of food on offer with deals for a Burger and a Pint. Came here for some drinks after work a few times, and every time had a great time. This pub has some interesting history and excellent selection of real ales and beers. The food is also pretty good in here, my burger with chips was very enjoyable. I love their beer garden and the lights around the trees and fence. It makes it feel very cozy and romantic. It does get really busy and noisy in the evenings though.

Nice pub with a quiet but lovely back Garden. Nice selection of beers and ales. Although my friends enjoyed their food, my burger was overcooked (you cooked actually taste burned meat around the edges) and under seasoned.

Nice for a quiet afternoon drink but soon gets busy after work, especially at the London Weekend (Thu-Fri). A decent selection of beers and lagers inc. Doombar :-) Good amount and location of TV screens for the football. Fab beer garden, nice for relaxing! or you can sit or stand out in the street. Hard to get served, staff seem hit and miss in terms of mood, even without a full moon ;-) All in all, not a bad place.

Really nice pub. Great history, being 'the eagle' referenced in the classic cockney rhyme "pop goes the weasel". Great beer selection, good food, nice bear garden and never any trouble as its right next to the Police Station. The garden occasionally gets deafened by a siren, but otherwise really nice.

The large fish & chips dish was HUGE. Unfortunately they didn't have the traditional chips to go along. The plates took around 40min to arrive! It was a workday lunch and forced some of us to rush finishing the meal to make it back to the office. Dog-friendly!

Above average selection of craft beers, on a good day. Often.let down by hit or miss knowledge of serving staff who might proffer a warm pint glass for your £7 bottle of beer then sneer at you for asking for a cold glass. Decent outdoor drinking area at the back almost makes up for it.

Whomever evoked Great Gatsby as the atmosphere of this restaurant nailed it. It's very art deco. If smoking were permitted indoors, I feel like everyone would have a cigar and brandy after dinner here. My friend and I were on vacation to London, and chose this location of the Hawksmoor for our last night in town before heading on to Paris. We were not disappointed. Starting out with a few great cocktails and some baked scallops, we each ate about half a cow, and I opted for the buttered greens as accompaniment to mine. It was the perfect pairing with the juicy steak. And as if all of that wasn't enough, I killed a sticky toffee sundae by myself. Trust me, I paid for that dearly later when I woke up in the middle of the night with acid reflux, but it was worth it.
