J. C.One of my favourite places in Camden and good to see it open again. Especially the late nights I like. Very disappointed to be served Guinness like this on a quite Sunday afternoon and when I asked for a tissue rather than the barman clean the glass he handed me a handful of blueroll. I know after almost 50 years at the pub the landlord will be disappointed in staff servicing guinness like this
S. F.Nice place. It was Bohemian in the way one would expect but the ciders were a bit disappointing—only those hideous sweet ones in bottles and Bulmers on tap. That said, the pub was comfortable and convivial. And a great name! Liked the elephant themes.

Q. F.One of oldest pubs in Camden Town. So pleased to be there for drink and a chat with friends. Friendly staff, nice Dj and music selection. If is not to crowded you can feel the hit and dance! I really recommend this place!
P. a. t. w.The place is a genuine English pub with character. Meaning we feel being in England. The beer is as expected and the food is good. We had the traditional fish and chips seasoned with lemon juice, vinager and salt (mashed beans and tartare as sides). The kids had the hot dog and ham and cheese ciabatta. No picture of the hot dog as my son jumped on it. Guess he was hungry. A pleasant place to make a stop and relax before resuming the walk in Camden high street. Open every evening until 2am.

M. E.This is a fabulous, traditional English pub. The décor appears to include parts of mock gothic church pews and I wondered what the history of those is. Traditional beers and wine, plus great capochino for coffee lovers. Friendly and helpful staff too.

R. V.The best night out in Camdem. The ambience is pretty much the same since I went in the 90's for the fist time. Unfortunately the landlord passed away and the new crew last time I went (Saturday the 2nd, seem to understand where they are working.... its almost in an institution in Camdem.

T. C.Nice underground pub in the heart of Camden Town. A nice place to go when you wish to stay up for a while longer since it closes at 2am. Lots of nice cool beers, nice people, good music. Downside, it's a little understaffed, so in crowded nights, it becomes a little difficult to order and the staff gets a little foul mooded. Otherwise it is a great place to enjoy the London night.
P. p.One of my favourite bars in Camden , only doesn't get 5 stars because of plastic glasses.

G. 8.Great place. Nice staff. Music played from vinyls, usually retro from 60s 70s. Good place to do a twist and listen to The Beatles. Prices are reasonable. Can get bit crowded on weekends.
P. J.Used to go here all the time when I lived in London in 2009. Was a great pub with a lively atmosphere and good music. Last time I visited was in 2014. Judging by the reviews, not a lot has changed. Look forward to returning at some point.

v. a.I know a place called Shepton Mallet I went there last summer on my motorbike.
I met a girl called Hazel MacDonald and she said to me let's go for a ride, so too the beach we went two leathers and a tent were strapped to the back of a motorbike, We made love completely on the sand so sweetly After the sun had time to hide.

L. H.Went to the Elephants Head with some colleagues for an after work pint late last night. Working in a Camden pub myself I am extremely impressed by the thorough implementation of any Covid related guidelines, starting with ensuring all guests are being registered for track & trace and have their hands sanitised on entry, to a table service only approach (with extremely prompt service!) and ensuring a safe distance is being kept between guests/staff at all times. And despite all of that Vince and his team still manage to create that amazing, buzzing atmosphere (including late night sing along) that the Elephants Head is so well known for.
Absolutely delighted this place is back up and running after the long break this year and to see what a fantastic job the team are doing there. Where else could you have such a good time on a Sunday night until 2am these days?!
Only wish for improvement: Would love to see some nicer beers on the menu rather than only the standards of Amstel, Kronenbourg and Fosters...

W. M.This bar has always been amazing to me. Every time I go in there’s nothing but good vibes and friendly faces. The security there is top notch (I’m from America) and super friendly when you ask them anything or need anything. Let me tell you about the food, there food is amazing, it’s all home cooked (or feels home cooked) and it cooked just right... PERFECT! The Guinness there tastes like silk and the bartenders are highly experienced & well trained. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this as a stop if you on your way home from work, or on Long or short “Holiday/ Vacation” nothing but good vibes good people and good EVERYTHING!

R. S.It's a fun and lively place with good music. Serves chilled beer and good liquer. Very crowded, but it's a cool crowd. They don't serve food, though. Clean washrooms, limited tables but good standing room. Good view from the window tables. Service was quick, the bartenders did a good job! Good for a pint or two after work or just catching up with friends.

L.Probably one of the best pubs in the UK. Very busy and an unbeatable atmosphere. You cannot hear anything from the outside, but when you come in and the sounds of the 80's classics fill up your ears you know that this pub is all about enjoying the good times. Highly recommend if you are looking for the ultimate British pub experience.

I don't give them 5 stars cause the open mic used to be my favorite in London and lately the crowd is weirder and it's not that well organized. If open mic gets better again will pe perfect spot. M. B.Nice place with friendly people from all over the world in it. I have never had a dull night here, good for people watching or chatting to interesting people. Bar staff could be more friendly but they do serve quickly so that's a plus point.
D. L.This is a fun pub. I found it unremarkable - they played good music and gave me the drinks I wanted, not much else is to be said. There was no food at the slightly late hour I was there - fair enough - and the ale was as you'd expect. In total a pleasant experience.

S. T.Nice little bar tucked into a corner of Camden High Street. Very busy, you're not likely to find seats. If you do, there's no larger tables should you wish to order food (its mostly barstools and small tables). The alcohol is expensive but then it is Camden /London prices. Didn't try any food so can't comment on that. The staff were friendly enough, busy and not all that chatty.
Cool decor and good music. Nice ambience should you wish to sit and waste some time. I would rather go to the Ice Wharf across the road for cheaper drinks, but it won't beat the interior of this bar.

A. W.Great pub. Easy to find on camden high street. One of the only pubs that open late most days of the week. Take care through.... you tend to have to show some form of ID to get in. Bouncers are sound though and they let me in after showing a credit card. (Mind you... I don't look very young).

J. E.The service was very nice and despite the food was a bit late, the full english breakfast was worth the waiting. The bread became cold and they replaced it with no problem. It's one of the best places in Camden for an english breakfast and they also have karaoke on Wednesdays.

Quirky decor with some punk theme but I'm of ethnic background and I felt at ease and was made very comfortable from the staff and other customers their, had a ball!! Drinks ok prices great selections couldn't belive my mate Ray & Nephews was there on the shelf!! Haha.
Down side sticky floor but it is a busy pub bound to happen and toilets could do with a makeover but not short of toilet roll, as on a chain haha.

M. F. R.What can I say, it's my local. Great staff, music every nite (good mix of DJ`s & live (open nite) every evening) & pub~grub available daily. Central as you're only ever minutes away from the famous Camden markets, Primrose Hill & Regent Parks, canal & London Zoo.
Plenty of other pubs to suit all tastes, like Devonshire (Dev) for metal/heavy/punk & a couple of blues bars (Inverness St), the Blues Kitchen, not forgetting venues such as the Underworld, Electric Ballroom, Koko, to name but a few.
All in all, I think this is my favourite watering hole, so to do my friends. It's one of those places where you're never on your own for very long.

I. R.Packed with scenesters and cool-kids, this Camden Town fixture is widely recognized by locals as one of Amy Winehouse's last haunts before her death. Regardless of your reason for stopping by, it's worth checking out although not impressive if you already live in a major city. Turns out the "hip" crowd is largely the same no matter where you are.

S. O.This is a very nice place, we loved the rustik furniture and the atmosphere. I went here on my last day in London, and I forgot my wallet on the table. The manager called me later in the afternoon on the phone and told me he had found it there! Unfortunately, I was then back in Sweden so I couldn't fetch it. Instead he sent it to me along with a nice t-shirt!! Talk about honest and serviceminded staff in this pub !! I am very grateful! Many thanks from Sweden - I will be back! /Erik Olsson
