A splendid place! The Exhibit is a great fun venue, clearly a harlequin of a pub/bar/theatre/cocktail bar/etc. Maybe even a church on Sundays, who knows? Lovely staff good beer on keg, not much joy for the real ale drinkers as far as I can see. This is where the fish come to watch the humans!

We booked a private viewing for our team. The team at Exhibit looked after us for the whole evening, they were very polite helpful and attentive. The food was very good and the cocktails were absolutely delicious. If you are thinking of booking stop thinking and JUST DO IT! 10 out of 10........

What an amazing night. Our group of girls had so much fun! The booking process was so easy and the customer service from Ellie was brilliant, she was really helpful and quick to respond to emails. The cocktail making was so much fun and bar staff were great. And a bargain price too for what is included! The place has a great vibe, fun and chilled. We can’t wait to come back.

Had our friends birthday here. Staff are really friendly especially the security on the door. We had a great time and the vibe of the place is great. Cinema room upstairs as well as a private room for parties. Cocktails are lush! The owner of the place is a bit quirky but she couldn't of done enough for us. Will definitely be back! Thank you!

A huge thanks to thew whole Exhibit team (Ellie, Mark, Tom, G, little Ellie and the rest) for having us on Saturday. We had an epic hen do in the studio and in the main bar after. Ellie was extremely helpful from start to finish, even helping us source a saxophonist for our bottomless brunch (Carlo was a legend). Was a pretty perfect day, would recommend to anyone planning an event!

It was nice.. The music was good and funky, although there were a few very rude songs by African American artists with the use of very bad words, which I would not appreciate... But, the rest was OK. Manager was ruling a bit too much to tell security personal on what to do or how to control the customers... So, it was sometimes a bit too much of safety precautions from his side... However, the party was nice and people enjoyed to the full... Lots of dancing.. Well decorated place.. Food and cakes were not bad..

I came here last Thursday & had such a good night! The chicken burger is full of flavour and was so well cooked, and the singers were amazing and kept everyone entertained. Also came for a private function over the weekend and the staff were great and v impressed with the karaoke room etc.

Had a wonderful 30th birthday party here at very short notice due to another venue cancelling. The garden terrace was able to host all my guests and the staff were very helpful and in making sure that things ran smoothly, they even went out of their way to make sure a TV was available to put on the football which I was very appreciative of. Special thanks to the manager for allowing us to order cocktail sharers instead of individuals drinks on the day too. Overall great experience from this place and would recommend if you are looking to book a party for a large group here.

I've been to a number of Brunch events around the city. This has to be my favourite, by far! They simply keep raising the bar as the afternoon progresses. More drinks, more food, and spectacular performances. Location is ideal, just by Balham station. I recommend booking the Cabaret Brunch in advance, tickets tend to sell out quickly. Will be going back again.

The happy hour cocktails 5-7pm were delicious. The food was amazing. We sat in the bar by the huge fish tank all night and the staff were very polite and attentive. I'll be looking at booking a party here in one of their event rooms.

Really great night. Very well looked after by the bar staff all night and all my party had an excellent time. Loved that there was a projector which added to the effects and we were able to get in and decorate the venue beforehand. Food was very good, although I probably over ordered (was able to take food home we didn’t eat). Could do with making the area around the dj booth clearer so more space for the djs to work in

I hosted a friend’s bridal shower at The Exhibit and it was the best venue we could have chosen. Incredible location, right by Balham station and a Sainsbury’s next door to pick up all of our last minute bits. The service from The Exhibit Team was incredible - great and prompt communication before the event to get everything sorted and wonderful service on the day which made for a memorable event. We used the gallery which is a spacious space with great lighting and decor. We had our own bar tender who was friendly and really helpful. The canapés were delicious. I can’t thank The Exhibit Team enough for their support and flexibility to make the event a success. The bride is so happy! Can’t wait wait to use Exhibit again!

This is the fourth time that I’ve hired the exhibit. We held my son’s 40th in the Gallery on Friday 13th May. From my first contact to hire the venue to the night of the party I was happy. The Head of sales Ellie did a superb job leading up to the day of the party .. questions answered quickly and very accommodating to ensure preparations were on point for the party. The Management Team for the actual night was headed by Rosa again she was great and her staff were professional and friendly.. from the security to the bar staff .. thank you Ellie and the team at the exhibit… everyone had a fantastic night …

Booked for a party of 20, for mine and a friends bday. Up until the day the venue were great and really accommodating but the service on the night wasn’t the best. We’d pre-booked but had to wait over an hour & a half for our food, some of the food wasn’t actually brought out (my friend had ordered ice cream but never got it) and whilst the look of the place was nice the music was too loud upstairs and made conversation hard.

I've been here quite a few times now (even booked a birthday here but just had to leave a review on my visit (early April). Decided to take my friend to The Exhibit, which when i used to live nearby was a regular place of mine to visit, mainly for drinks. The staff were lovely, conversational, and down to earth. We had the weekend brunch - I opted for the classic burger while my friend went for the Halloumi and Mushroom veggie burger. Both were wonderful, and my friend who'd never been to the Exhibit before swears he will be back for round two! Outside of the food and the service, the venue had a lovely aesthetic about it, good music; generally just great vibes to be honest. If I lived closer I'd frequent more!

Organised my birthday here with 18 people. Perfect venue, great food, great service - especially from Tom who looked after us really well. When you're organising something for your birthday with a lot of people, you really want to be able to enjoy it and not do logistics management all night. I was in the studio room and the vibe was perfect. The staff were super friendly and helpful throughout. Had my own playlist playing for the first few hours then a DJ playing for the rest of the night. Everyone was messaging me after to let me know how much fun they had. The finger foods were delicious and presented beautifully. It also came on time and we ate well :) Unfortunately i didn’t meet the minimal spend but also couldn’t predict how many ppl may cancel or not buy many drinks. So next time I would invite even more ppl to be on the safe side. I had about 40-45 people say yes but maybe around 30/35 turned up. Nonetheless, would definitely consider having another birthday celebration here in the future and would recommend it to others!

5 stars for the staff and Ellie who managed to accommodate my boyfriends party of 40 people for his 30th birthday after another venue cancelled last minute! Ellie was easy to communicate with and super friendly. The manager on the day I can't remember her name she had bleach blonde slicked hair was amazing also and sorted out cocktails pitchers for us. They even brought a tv into the garden terrance (which was the space we hired) so that the boys could watch the champions league final and we could play our own music! Would deffo recommend to anyone wanting to book a space out for a party, thanks again x

I had my 50th birthday party here, hiring The Gallery for the event. The space was excellent - I was delighted with it. Just perfect for what I wanted with a good layout (long bar, big dance floor and a private balcony). The staff were lovely - very friendly and always quick to respond to questions in the run up to the event. Because of the layout of the venue, random people will come in to your private party; most will realise their mistake and leave, but others need to be gently encouraged out again. You will just have to keep an eye on this. We didn’t have any trouble from any of these visitors (would have called on bar staff if we had). We had one small issue on the evening which was that I changed the start time of the party the week before, bringing it forward by 30 mins to allow set-up time. Venue said this was fine, but when we arrived the room was not ready. However once this was resolved everything else was brilliant. Despite the fact that we were a different crowd than usual (older…!) we had a fantastic night and I would definitely recommend.

We had a really lovely evening here in their Winter Garden. Tastefully decorated, along with blankets and heaters to keep warm. Service was polite, friendly and efficient, food was good, and a lovely touch at the end to receive complimentary mince pies.

We luckily got a table, its quite busy on a weekend. The decor was so cute and not what I thought from the outside. We ordered cocktails to start Aperol spritz and a blackberry and peach daiquiri - both so yummy. I ordered the Smashed Avocado - it comes with poached eggs, I asked for them hard (yes, because I'm wrong) and they were wet as hell, so I jusy had the rest My sister ordered the fish finger burger - it's not fingers it's a whole piece of cod in the middle of a bun. It took a while to get the bill, but everything else was alright.

Came here for my friends surprise private party. It's HUGE with different floors compared to Streatham. I had a good time. Only downfall was that I had to change floors to buy certain drinks as the bar man didn't have ingredients/couldn't make the cocktail I wanted. My fiancé and I recently had our engagement party at Exhibit and neeeeedeed to shout out how much of an amazing venue it was. We hired the Gallery which was perfect for our 70 guests and also hired the Cinema Room next door for kareoke - a huge hit! Ellie was soooo helpful, was able to cater to all of our needs and was mega flexible with us with how we wanted the room to look at allowed us in during the day to set up some decorations. The food was great too - and they were able to cater to gluten and dairy free platters for our guests! Everyone just loved the venue and how much fun the staff were - was an outstanding night!

Had a wonderful meal here on 14th September. Tom was our waiter - he was superb. Super friendly and efficient, remembered everything, checked in on us just the right amount- he clearly cared very much that we enjoyed our experience at The Exhibit. Working in customer service myself, I really appreciate great service and for me, it can make out break a 'dining out' experience. Our meal was delicious and great value. Restaurant had a great vibe. I would return to The Exhibit in a heartbeat - and hope Tom is there. I hope The Exhibit value him and the impact he has on their guests.

The heart of Balham for 21 years" Such a pretty instagrammable set up, from hanging flowers to full fish tanks. This fab place has 3 floors! Catering for all parties all day long, from breakfast to dinner. Private events, late night parties and bottomless brunch! They also have a small boutique cinema showing those feel good movies 🍿 They offer spaces to work, with fast running wifi and plug sockets, whilst enjoying a delicious coffee! On to the food 💫 We ordered a whole Scottish Lobster drizzled with lemon garlic butter, thick cut chips & house green salad - £35 And the Sirloin Steak with thick cut chips, house green salad & béarnaise sauce - £26 We shared these and throughly enjoyed both, chips were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside 👌🏼 Only thing that I dislike about ordering lobster is it's gone so fast and always leaves you wanting more! But was delicious none the less! For drinks we had a Mojito 🍃 and a Nutty Mai Tai but without the bitters which was accommodated with no problem at all. I did want to try the Lychee Martini as it sounded fab, but unfortunately they had no lychees🍸 They have 50% off their new menu at the moment! Tues - Fri until the 17th September. But it's worth a trip without the discount too! Thanks Exhibit Team 💖

Cool venue in South London, located near to Balham train station and the Northern Line. Described as a youth club for adults this definitely is a good description; the venue has a bar serving food from brunch at the weekends and lunch from 12 until the evening, they have a cinema, gallery and event space where they host comedy nights. There is plenty of seating inside and out and upstairs there is a balcony, unfortunately the weather was too inclement to test it out. I went to try the brunch, I aimed for a lunch time slot so the lunch options would be available too. The staff were friendly and helpful, they could have been a bit more attentive and offered me a substitute for eggs but the food was well presented with plenty of flavour. I opted for prosecco brunch, this was two large prawns with avocado on toast and chorizo minus the fried egg. To go alongside it I opted for more seafood as this is one of my favourite things; fried octopus which came with chorizo and cannellini beans. The prawns were huge and had plenty of flavour complemented by the chorizo and avocado. The octopus was tender and soft melting into my mouth. My husband chose smoked salmon which came with scrambled egg in a bagel and sweet potato fries on the side. There was a good amount of salmon filling the bagel with a mix of scrambled egg and the fries were crunchy and soft. Another reason for me to come at lunch time was so I could enjoy a cocktail with my food, I find it much easier to drink this a little later on in the day. I chose the rosie and gin, which came in a tall tumbler glass a good red colour decorated with a piece of rosemary; it was fruity and sweet with a good herby taste of the rosemary. They also offer bottomless processo for £20 and do an evening deal of a main with unlimited wine on weekday evenings and dinner with a film. I'm sure I'll be back for some more even if it is the other side of London to me.

Definitely a place for the under 25’s! We were met by a polite host when we enquired if they had a table, which she confirmed they did. The service was efficient. The menus are available by scanning the QR code on the table and ordering is completed on the website using Apple Pay with minimal details required which is definitely a benefit, as opposed to downloading a specific app and registering etc. Overall, it’s a nice place to grab a quick drink or meet a friend for an hour. Just be sure to take your student ID!

Not my first time at this venue, I could say we are regulars. The tacos are to die for, highly recommend to try if you are there. Bottomless Brunch Saturdays are the best, there is a DJ, dancers and bottomless drinks. Staff is friendly and the atmosphere is always on point. Go visit!

I love it here! This was our third visit, we went for the steak/lobster brunch with live band this time. Band was SO GOOD really enjoyed the song choices and they were friendly inbetween sets. Went for boozy bottomless brunch with friends. Nice weather and good outdoor seating which contributed to a pleasant experience. As bottomless brunches go, the staff were slightly lacking in attentiveness as we often were having to flag someone down to top up the drinks vs. other bottomless brunches I've been to where staff are really hot on keeping your glasses filled. There was also slight confusion about the costing. We were told that we had to order food to get the bottomless brunch package...however when the bill came round, the food was an additional cost ontop of the bottomless brunch, would suggest making this more transparent to the customer just to save any confusion. Overall, it wasn't a bad trip, however it wasn't the strongest bottomless brunch that I've visited.

Fantastic experience for my 30th birthday! We were given the studio room with our own bar for the night and were able to decorate how we liked. We thought the value for money was fantastic and so worth it! Lizzie was behind the bar for us and did an amazing job - she was so friendly and went above and beyond. My friend wanted certain non alcoholic cocktails and she just made them without hesitation even though they weren’t on the menu! Thank you so much!! Highly recommend for any occasion!

Went there to play for a private party in the top floor room. Those looking to hire a venue for their private I'd highly suggest this room on the top floor. I play at so many places in London (N/E/S & central) and I've come across many private hire rooms which aren't very good in terms of layouts nor the sound systems in them. This room at the exhibit was spacious good for dancing has a easy accessible roof terrace for when it gets hot and for smokers. The bar staff and managers are lovely & friendly (I even left a couple of items and had to come back a week later and they kept it safe - again very friendly & polite). If you want a decent well laid out cosy and intimate room with a good sound system (not clublike - but still very good) & attentive bar staff... I'd highly suggest this place!

My experience here has been amazing, I really enjoyed the environment and I would love to go back as soon as possible no doubt.I have noticed how great their brunches are, and also how they treat their customers. The custom serivce here is impeccable obviously due to a great management, and I can guarantee that at the Exhibit you'll always feel cuddled. Nice cocktails and tasty meals,lovely atmosphere especially during the Christmas time, this place was like a cozy piece of cake in the middle of Balham. Been here a few times for bottomless brunch, which is always fun. This review is mostly based on the ticketed football events for the Euros that have been on recently. Went for the England game and the operation is fairly slick with lots of waiters and app-based ordering system. Lots of England fans and electric atmosphere with chanting etc, bouncers loved it and didn't get too over-zealous which was nice. Would recommend

I hired the gallery bar for my late partners memorial and had the most wonderful experience at this venue. The gallery bar was beautifully presented and had a spacious balcony which made the area even better for social distancing. My late partner was an artist so it was quite easy to put up his artwork in the gallery which looked stunning. The staff were most accommodating, helpful and friendly, in particular RJ who was looking after us. The canapés were well presented and absolutely delicious. They were demolished rather fast. This really is the perfect venue for any type of occasion and the fact that a sad occasion and potentially difficult event was so well managed is credit to the team. Thank you and well done.

I was with a party that had booked the cinema room. It was a really nice and comfortable space - I highly recommend it. The only issue we had was that despite booking a private room we were expected to go down to the main bar and join the queue to order drinks. This didn't feel particularly safe with Covid, as it was rather busy and also ate into our time in the cinema room. A member of our party did complain about this, and we were eventually allowed to order through someone who brought all the drinks up to us. This should be standard practice for the private room. Afterwards we had dinner and our server Nicole was amazing! She was so friendly and helpful! Best service I have received for a long time, so thanks Nicole! :) The food was really nice - huge portions and a good selection!

One of the best party venues for adults and children. Conveniently located next to Balham Station and Sainsbury's, this place boasts 3 floors, a private cinema, restaurant, bar, beer garden. The tropical beer garden is a nice addition and the Al fresco dining is lovely too. The large aquarium is a big hit with the children. Enjoy football, rugby in groups with booze and party late with friends! The private cinema is up for hire and we had our children's party there with the pizza deal. They loved it! I love the hip decor. Even on very busy weekend, the staff were courteous and attended to every need and queries we had during the party. Despite the busy crowd load, the toilets are kept clean,which is (to me) brilliant! The open balconies are great for breezy evenings in summer, so that busy as it is it does not become unbearably hot. Overall great venue for almost everything.

Despite experiencing a few issues during our booking, we ended up having a fantastic last night out before lockdown. If it weren't for the exceptional management response - our night would have been a let down. The food was great, drinks took a little while but were tasty cocktails and the service could improve. The recovery by the South African manager is the reason for the 5 stars - she recognised our dismay and sorted us out quickly. A bubbly personality and a little empathy goes a long way.

The Exhibit is an activity Bar/Restaurant. Every evening, there is some activity going on. It is located over 3 levels: A ground floor with a large dining/drinking area as well as an open space protected outdoor garden for people wanting to enjoy the sunshine, a mezzanine floor and an upper floor. The bar staff are polite, kind and helpful. The food is good and reasonably priced. The bar serves usual drinks as well as cocktails. Yeah, about the activities, they are aplenty. Ranging from specific dining experiences to Salsa classes to organised Flatmate sharing meetings where you can interview potential landlords/ tenants and like-minded people you would want to share a flat with! Overall, it has a very trendy feel and a youthful atmosphere.

You have fast food and take away all around and not far from the station as well which is the northern line so night tube does run on it too

I attended a private booking yesterday for my cousins 21st birthday. I find some of the reviews here quite funny as they are clearly predominantly written by faux food critics and hipsters trying to hide their middle class Surrey mansion upbringing. The staff here at the Exhibit last night were very friendly, albeit a little rushed off their feet but they served with a smile. Food was not super fast in coming but it was delayed either. It gave myself and my partner a nice enough time to chat. The cinema experience was lovely and the sofas very comfortable. As for the food; the burger was cooked well, we got a decent portion of chips and the truffle mac and cheese was seriously tasty. All around, a great experience - would visit again.

I met a friend for brunch at on Saturday at 12.15am, watching people drinking bottomless processo was quite off putting. Knowing as soon as their glasses were near empty they were filled again. It's a shame that brunch used to be having a time to sit and talk and having a glass of wine with a friend now it's knock back as much as you can brunch. It got quite loud so we left after we ate. Bearing that in mind, the food was fantastic, the service was great I wish I could do poached eggs as perfectly as they did mine.

Went here for a Christmas Staff do. Due to traffic, some colleagues were held up - however, we were served our food, and our colleagues had to arrive with their starters already on the table, turned cold. When it was asked to be warmed up, the soup was taken and blasted in the microwave, resulting in warm, soggy bread. The food itself was fairly good, but I felt that they weren't that accommodating of our late arrivals - fair enough given the time of year, but could have been handled better.

Attended a birthday party using the top floor (with balcony, which had to be shut once it got very late, due to noise level restriction I guess). Had use of (small) cinema room for chill space too. Host provided drinks to start with, though obtaining glasses for the wine/beer was a struggle and there never seemed to be enough. Large and decent speakers seemed to be turned up a bit past the maximum volume they could cope well with, leading to some of the bass notes in the dance music occasionally being uncomfortable to hear as a mess, and pretty hard to have a conversation. A nice space though, and having the open air on a warm night and view down (nothing to sight see, just Sainsbury car park and Balham train station) was pleasant - better than being cooped up on a warm night.

Special big thanks to Monica - she fixed all our problems and annoying drunk complaints with biggest smile and professionalism, her brilliant sense of humor kept everyone at ease, we will be coming back to see that tiny hilarious girl again! They had a DJ downstairs playing biggest disco jams and everyone was dancing like crazy, it was raining glitter and I can still find it in various places of my body.. Not the most impressive bar, but a lively plans with all sorts of events there including of course the cinema. Parking isn't great. The Sainsburys across the road only has 2 hours of free parking and the local streets are often fully occupied. It's a nicely decorated place which attracts a lot of the locals. The outside area is inviting and surprisingly ambient. A good alternative to the bustling streets of Clapham Common

Favourite part is the cinema though - about 15 sofas in a room with homemade popcorn to watch films you may have missed at the "proper" cinema. Really cool.

Large, fun all day venue in the heart of balham. Attracts a young crowd and is one of the more upmarket venues in a relaxed neighbourhood. Venue is split across three levels with a diner on #2 and a cinema on level three. There is a good outdoor seating area for the summer months. The food can be a bit hit and miss. Following a recent design overhaul, they now do a tapas menu which is okay but variable.

Our experience at The Exhibit was so up and down, I really don't know how to rate it! We went for Bottomless brunch on Saturday last week. We had a big group so we were asked to pre-order. Then after we had all pre-ordered by email, they issued new instructions that we had to pre-order AND prepay. Then they issued us with a link that only contained the breakfast items (and no lunch items, which people had ordered earlier). So half the people ordered and paid from a very limited menu, then they finally issued both breakfast and lunch so that the other half of the people could order from the more extensive list. It was a really confusing and frustrating process! I have been to plenty of Bottomless brunches with big groups of people, and never been required to pre-order and prepay. Not that that would have been a big issue if we were given the right instructions from the beginning! All that aside, the day turned out to be a lot of fun, the service from a waitress called Romy was absolutely first class - she was perfect. The food was a somewhat hit and miss (but the mac & cheese was awesome!) and we were given the private room 'The Studio' which was great.

Tje exhibit really has got it going on in terms of things to do, they regularly host events such as cinema nights, football and other sports, have an outside tent, I think dating and life drawing and bottomless brunch, a cinema room which I haven't been to but know you can also hire out for parties, the prices are a bit high tbh and he staff seem busy and are obviously hard worked, would add to the experience more if you got more staff and I would feel like they would enjoy themselves and we would too
