Reviews of The Four Thieves
O.
This venue has a range of activities for you!
Such as Arcades, Music, Karaoke, Beverage and Food.
A great place to chill, sing, have fun, play games and drink all at the same time! What can go wrong?
3 floors of excitement! And plenty of rooms for dinning and seatings. Each room has its own little quirks and vibes, everyone here are all friendly and fun!
Recommended to all.
C. M.
Went there for my team's Christmas party this year. The table was nicely set up and the food was nice, although not mind-blowing. As part of the package we were provided with a card each, which were supposed to give us credits to arcade games - but they wouldn't work on all of the games so it was really confusing. Great concept but requires improvements for a smooth and more enjoyable experience!
B. C.
I’ve never had so much fun in a bar! The food was nice and the racing track is incredible - you control the cars from racing simulators. Hours of fun for everyone. Will definitely be returning again soon!
D. M.
The Four Thieves is rocking! A most joyous experience for all - The Four Thieves offers arcade games from your childhood in a carefree atmosphere.
I was concerned by some of the other reviews I had read prior to arriving at the venue regarding the security staff, however I would suggest they are reasonable and thorough. I will also add to this point, that I arrived 1.5 hours late and the staff could not have been more welcoming, kind and accommodating.
The moonshine raceway is great fun, even if your skills on the track are as nonexistent as mine and the commentary from the staff are charming and hilarious.
I really enjoyed the critter racing and ice hockey table too.
The vegan pizza we ordered had a delectable wood-fired flavour.
I had a really fun night and the only thing I can fault is that it was a little noisy in there. But I also think that noise is a symptom of a good night. Would recommend for bachelor parties, work events, dates, or even just a quick drink.
J. A.
Really nice vibe, didn’t get to visit the arcade room this time but the food at the bar was really good with sizeable portions.
G. B.
Went Early on a Thursday so not busy at all but very entertaining venue. I really want to go back with a bit more atmosphere. Great place in Clapham Junction.
Food- chicken Sandwich was very tasty but very small. Wasn’t worth the £6 sadly.
A. A.
Apart from ONE rude sweaty bar man, the rest of the staff and venue were amazing. Had so much fun playing the games. Beer selection was also good. Perfect venue for bunch of friends or a date night!
D. P.
The rule for pubs in the UK is simple: they are either amazing or disasters. The four thieves falls into the first category: the decor is unique and quirky and the ambient is very relaxed.
The pub also offers an arcade room which I only took a glimpse of but it will make anyone who grew up in the 80s/90s a bit nostalgic.
E.
Wow, a pub crossed with an amusement arcade. Really interesting concept, everyone was having a good time. I can imagine spending more on games than on booze 😉
H. B.
The staff are very helpful.
You can now order food and drinks to the table from the website and the arcade games have been updated to accept card payments only.
Fastest lap of the night on the moonshine raceway
A. T.
Security staff here are unnecessarily aggressive. There's no need to shout at paying customers......
Bar staff are fantastic!
The toilets and bar need a good clean and wipe down, if your going to check ppls vaccination status (which I have no problem with) the least you can do is make sure the venue is clean.....
V. O.
This has been the best pub I have been to! It has an extremely cool atmosphere. The decor is fun and quirky and there is a whole floor dedicated to an amazing retro arcade area! It's super fun to do with friends and the games are affordable and super fun! 10/10 definitely recommend going!
M. S.
The four thieves is a great place for a night out. If you expect fine dining and exceptional customer service, go elsewhere. But if you want a good selection of drinks, friendly staff, a great vibe and a fun time with your mates. This is the place to go.
P. F.
Good range of beers, both cask and keg and the outdoor space was cosy even in January. Oddly, on the day we visited the garden was the preferred area to be as it smelt faintly of sewers within!
T. D.
Generally decent venue. Gets rather overcrowded.
No soap in the toilets during a pandemic is kinda worrying. Not even a basic little dispenser.
D. O.
The arcade upstairs was good fun! You can pay a couple of quid (contactless accepted!) to play different games (such as ski ball racing, DDR, Point Blank and a remote control car racing game) they were really good fun - I think the maximum number of players you can have on the ski ball and the RC cars was 10 people, and for the other traditional arcade machines, up to 2 players. There's also a VR archery(?) game which you can play with 2 other people (3 in total).
There's a bar upstairs as well, so don't worry about ordering a drink downstairs beforehand.
It does get a bit crowded, and the bar is quite small for how popular it gets, otherwise good fun!
R. G.
Went with our daughter. What a great retro place. Games from past generations. Racing track was great fun.
J. B.
Amazing bar and arcade, had a really fun day there along with a great selection of ales and drinks! Would be 5 star but the staff are incredibly rude (not all of them) and had issues all day with them taking unfinished drinks away then refusing to give them back. This happened a couple times and then was shouted at for sitting on an apparently 'reserved' table with no sign at all on it...
F. R.
This pub not only has a decent beer garden with heating and cover for when it's cold and rainy, but it also has an arcade with loads of different kinds of games upstairs which is really cool. Other than that, it's a standard pub. Definitely worth coming to though.
T. L.
Had a Xmas party hereand had a great time. It has chill atmosphere. The staff were great Ivan in particular was great at remembering everyone's drink orders and just needed to get his attention and your pint will be there in seconds
z. m.
Mixed feelings about this venue, great concepts but trying to do much so nothing is really very good. Arcade - not a proper arcade, more fair ground, super busy and stuffy. Craft beer, reasonable selection on first inspection but in reality all the beers are very similar.
E. J.
Definitely book in advance if you want a table, they played some great music so good that we didn't even make it up stairs to the arcade!!
E. W.
Lots of fun arcade games for a reasonable price. V handy that you can pay for them all with card, bit annoying that it doesn't seem you can get chips just on their own.
j. k.
Went for the comedy night on Wednesday, which is normally really good. Sadly last night not so good, 2 women performers were terrible. 2 male performers were OK, but the compare woman, an American, seemed to think comedy is just talking about the size of men's private parts would be funny, got boring after a while.
Otherwise nice place, and normally decent comedy.
B. S.
Staff are friendly, the food is amazing. The vegan pizza its a WOW! And we had great fun with games upstairs.
M. F.
One of my favourite pub, in a convenient location.
Lovely garden, spacious indoor area, fun arcades, and good choice of drinks & food. Staff is always very friendly and helpful.
S. H.
I went to the 4 thieves for a staff Xmas do and honestly it was a brilliant occasion. Era and Bep were superstars, so friendly and helpful, and the team had an exceptional time. Seriously would recommend.
X. J.
An interesting place, a lot of card payment arcade games.
F. V.
It's so much fun!
Plenty of games upstairs to enjoy with friends. I reckon it's also good for a fun date. Will definitely come back.
A. H.
Good food and drinks- London Prices. The games are expensive, for what they are. The karaoke only works if everyone in your group wants to sing.
J. S.
This is one of my favourite places. It's a bar, it's a restaurant, and above all (for me) it's an amazing arcade, not only with original cabinets but also unique games I've not experienced anywhere else, such as critter racing (a cool play on skee ball) and moonshine racing (rc cars on a mini circuit). Oh and did I mention they have three VR booths too?! Just promise me not to fill up the place too much, I can't stand queues, and I've not seen them here so far!
H. P.
The food is pretty average but the arcade room is awesome. A really fun night out with a great range of entertainment - there's something for everyone: Street fighter, air hockey, virtual reality, mini racing cars and top golf to name a few. It was super busy on a Friday night as expected but we still got to try most games out - I'm sure midweek would be quieter.
N. h.
Went to this venue for our Christmas party. A fun pub, with good games to play, but service and food not up to much. One brussel sprout on my plate and a tiny dessert. Wouldn't go for a meal again.
B.
Great fun, unique venue with lots to do on the arcade floor. Service was slightly slow for food but was a busy night so could be down to that. Overall had a great time and would go back
J. L.
Great pizza (including good gluten free base), fun arcade upstairs and excellent selection of beer
M. H.
Im the f1 champion, also skeeball, bad at shooting, never had the chance to shine at dance dance revolution. Good burger, reasonably priced pints. Didnt spot any of the thieves, but suppose that's testament to their ability. Pizzas could do with less corn and fewer jaleps.
Kind regards
Mart Vark
D. B.
Big bar area downstairs - decent selection of drinks. But really you're coming for the games... and they're really good fun. Contactess on every machine makes everything easy to access. Some games required some staff manual intervention but otherwise you're free to play a ton of games and drink a load of drinks. Good night out.
K. G.
I've been here many many times and I love this place. Great one to have drinks with friends. Fun atmosphere, good music, love the arcade area, fair priced drinks. BUT. I ordered food here recently for the first time. I hated it! It's greasy as hell and tastes disgusting. Never again I'm ordering here food. Me and my friend felt sick after eating it. So would recommend to eat before you come here, don't order food at this place!
H. K.
The food was good and generous, the games were nice but the VR was closed as they told us that the VR is closed 2 hours before the rest of the games.
t. s.
If you've never been, you need to give this place a try. I was here Thursday evening for a date and not only were staff fantastic and lovely, but they helped to make the night that extra bit special. We started out in the bar and then moved into the garden area (which is quirky and well looked after). We were then invited back in to join the pub quiz and afterwards made our way up to the arcade room.
Beer choices were unique and the lines are clearly very well looked after.
Can fault these guys and will be back again for sure 👌
D. E.
The Four Thieves is a pub where you can also play Arcade games, such as foosball, veteran many computer games, hockey, ball games, remote car games which is very fun with friends, and also a Plonk minigolf course as well... Friendly staff, reasonable prices, nice ambience... I definitely suggest if you are looking for fun!
R. P.
So much fun! The staff in particular are absolutely lovely and incredibly attentive. Been a few times and would definitely recommend.
R. W.
Great vibe and nice staff. I came here with my work team during Christmas time and the mulled wine was so well made, perhaps the best I’ve had this season! Highly recommend booking a table in advance as it can get pretty crowded. We stayed for the quiz on the Tuesday night which was good fun. We didn’t have time to go up to the arcade room but I’ve heard it’s great. Really convenient location as well, only a 5 min walk from Clapham junction so perfect on a weeknight after work.
L. A.
Been coming here for 5 years, not many places have evolved and tried to keep things fresh, I feel like every time I come here, there's something new to experience. Though I'm not too frequent of a visitor
S. B.
There was a large group of us so we pre booked and were treated like VIP's!
We didn't have to queue, we had someone come and collect us outside, bypassing the very long queue to get in!
We were given a long table and we ordered our drinks. The upstairs is amazing, all the games, Tekken on the projector, mini golf, a carnival games, VR and a really cool racing game which accommodates alot of people at one time. Highly recommended for a good night out for all as there is something for everyone.
R. S.
Welcoming staff despite the imminent pandemic lockdown 3. Pizza (2 for £10) was fresh and delicious (I had the hot one) and table service was prompt and friendly. Ordering system with an app kept us topped up. Fantastic plague art caught my eye. Atishoo, atishoo, we all fall down.
R. P.
Nice local microbrewery with beer piped directly from the glazed brewing room into your glass. Quite comprehensive gaming arcade upstairs though have plenty of cash to enjoy.
F. F.
Really good atmosphere, suitable for friends, dates etc, but could do with maybe 1 or 2 more arcade games and more tables
M. C.
Excellent place for fun and drink! Long wait in food orders!
B. B.
Great pub/bar which has always got a good atmosphere. Perfect to come to when there's a large group of you - I've come on different occasions with friends and with work colleagues, a bit different to all of you just gathered around a table.
Drinks are a pretty standard price for the area, I paid around £8 for a double vodka lime soda.
Obviously the upstairs games area is the big draw. You sometimes have to queue if you come late on a Friday or Saturday evening to get upstairs but only for five- ten minutes or so. Loads of different choices for games. They do get a bit expensive, occasionally I only find the racing and the VR worth it as otherwise you can spend a couple of quid on a game which lasts an hour.
Always a fun trip!
B. W.
Lovely place, the staff are so friendly and the do a good range of drinks and the food it was only pizza 🍕 but really nice
A. D.
We had the most amazing time at the Four Thieves. Booked the Gin Yard for the afternoon and had the Sunday roast which was incredible. The tables have heaters above them so were nice and cosy and the whole yard was covered. The staff were honestly fantastic - Killian was looking after us so well and even made some changes to allow us to stay longer than our booking. Can’t recommend this place enough!
A. C.
Nice bar and good selection of drinks. We went upstairs to the arcade but it was a bit lacking. A lot of things broken and the choice of games was pretty limited. Needs a bit of investment to make it a great destination.
H. H.
A great pub that's worth the extra 5 minute walk from Clapham Junction station to get away from the crowds. Fantastic selection of gin, lovely little terrace out the back, and amazing games room upstairs. Will definitely be back!
R. A. B.
Nothing wrong that I could see pub wise fabulous Pub Quiz (Boogaloo Stu) and nice service. Big issue was the vegan nachos - really bland and not good, the vegan cheese was just flavourless. Needs work.
G. M.
Cheerful atmosphere. Enjoyed my trip to this bar. Very relaxed atmosphere. Would return
G. L.
Really fun place to have some drinks and play some games. Was quite disappointed that a customer who was clearly racially abusing other customers was not thrown out by staff. Otherwise an excellent venue
T. D.
Amazing array of games, fun cocktails and music. Great for a all rounder night out in Clapham.
M. S.
Had so much fun. The reverse of reversing is very confusing.
J. F.
The upstairs is really unique for a pub and lots of fun. However getting a table to sit and eat is a nightmare. They hold reservations for over 1 hour, so if someone booked a table for 21:00 they can arrive until 22:00. We wanted to sit and eat but despite seeing many empty tables they were all "reserved", since it was still the one hour timeframe. The waiter ended up telling us to leave if what we wanted was eating, which was very strange as if we had waited 15 minutes the table would be "free" from the reservation (unless the group arrived but who arrives 50 minutes after the booking time?!)... We grabbed a beer and left after his comment as it was illogic to stay there after being recommended to leave.
J. H.
Sound bar, sound night, Kilian sealed the deal and made it worth while. Planning to re book mostly because of him.
I. A. C.
Aurora is an amazing host, she made our night out. She helped us, was very friendly, made us feel really comfortable and for sure we will come back to this pub. The drinks were good and came super quick. The arcade upstairs was so much fun and I will recomend to anyone to come and try it.
T. N. G.
Loved the place. Good music, nice ambience and good service. You can play boardgames with your friends here as well
All around good experience!
They've also got an arcade!
G. R.
Huge, friendly pub. Great selection of drinks, plenty of comfortable seats, a garden which even has some cover. This really is the best place in Clapham Junction
D. G.
Good, fun pub. Decent range of beers to choose from. Reasonable service. The pizzas were lovely.
M. M.
Buzzy busy place with games upstairs. Well located for a meet up.
C. A.
A few of us did the Lady Chastity's Reserve Escape Room with host Gabriel (Jason) and loved it, even if we didn't do terribly well. The host was great, coming from someone who usually doesn't like theatrics of this sort. We are already planning our next escape! #handmademysteries
R. P.
Went for a comedy show, showed up early for a few drinks in their garden. Couldn't have been met with more accommodating staff, especially the host/manager (?) who was exceptionally kind, hard-working, and were taking all the pre-cautions necessary due to COVID. Super grateful for the amazing service and vigilance + the comedy show was hilarious too!
E. I.
The pub is led by two ladies (as of my knowledge) There are some cool games in the pub. The beer selection is very limited and I did not like the house beer much. Their arcade games was mostly empty during the weekdays; but stay away on weekends.
S. J.
Great choice on beers and fantastic selection of games, maybe slight better maintenance on machines would give this review 5 stars, but too maybe glitches and broken machines to receive that.
M. T.
Fantastic experience, the kids loved it as well. We will be back
a. s.
Thank you so much Ivan ! Absolutely amazing Bloody Mary and such a great service from you. Thanks for making our night even better. 🥰
J.
Good spot with great outdoor drinking area. The burger was tasty.
S.
Didn't count, but I trust the number of thieves was as advertised. Great pub
E. E.
I love this bar, from the gin menu to the outside beer garden, to the swing dance lessons on Monday (haven't been but want to) to having it's own brewery inside.. to of course, the fun games room upstairs! Great date night spot and to go with a group of friends. I have had encounters with rude bouncers and the ID bit is incredibly strict, they need new outside staff for sure.
F. M.
What a good surprise the arcade game Room
T. G.
Super good local, good beers, games, and reasonably priced drinks (for London)
D. W.
A good looking bar/venue sadly let down by some of the staff; the bartender in adidas trackies had a terrible attitude.
M. G.
A cool bar that has a student vibe to it. I am in my 30s now but enjoyed the atmosphere. Plenty of space to sit and stand, a small but decent beer garden in the back & a top drawer arcade room, crazy golf, virtual reality experience upstairs. The gaming room seems expensive & i have only visited on a quieter Monday & Tuesday at around 7pm. Would come back though for sure.
A. S.
Great pub and dope arcade!
A. S.
Nice spacious areas. Arcade upstairs with RC racing is cool.
M. L.
I’m surprised this place doesn’t have better reviews. I quite liked it. Came here on a Monday night with a few friends. Bartender was helpful with the beer selection. The burgers were buy one get one so it was a great deal and also quite tasty. The arcade stuff upstairs looked really fun but we didn’t play- think we needed more people to make the driving game worth it.
D.
Really unique little place, enjoyed my trip here with my partner and friends.
I. W.
There is lot going on here with a busy main bar, a quiet side bar & the busy arcade area upstairs. The novelty factor surely wins through with the mass remote control car race.
I found the door staff quite helpful as I had an issue with not having ID for entry (something that hasn't been a problem for me for 20 years...) but we came to a mutual compromise. Would go again probably
T. V. H.
Nicely laid out inside with different quirks to it and a lovely outdoor yard. Food was great, I had a halloumi salad which was very lovely. The tacos are bite-sized but the company I was with said they were nice.
The upstairs features another bar with games galore. The gentleman doing the race tracks was enthusiastic, upbeat and hilarious. Made my evening!
The only issue I had were the security staff situated outside. To get in I had to flash my ID card which is PASS accredited and featured a picture of myself which was taken earlier this year. He asked for my bank card to verify and proceeded to say he couldn't find my name on my bank card to his colleague (my card is literally the same layout as everyone else). I feel like the staff may need to be trained on PASS acreditted IDs (and where to locate names on bank cards). The experience was very off-putting but enjoyed my evening there nonetheless.
M. U.
Great pub, good vibes. Drinks a bit expensive but nice
R. H.
Really cool quirky bar. Brewing there own beer and serving a great choice of different gins. We have been mainly to go upstairs to the Arcade room. It’s really good fun with lots of games. The best being the mini golf and racing game. It’s a really
Fun night if you want something a little different and ace for a early week night with friends.
C. M.
Interesting idea although the games were very expensive. Good food though and a lot of room
N. H.
Really well decorated and thought out bar with a gaming room AND house brewery bar... what's not to love 🤷🏻♂️
N. E.
Escape room was really fun - Gemma was amazing! Even if we didn't escape. :) Veggie roast was delicious, great portion sizes and pints weren't too expensive. Games room and garden are great too. Fun birthday pub.
E. A.
Really good price for private karaoke booth
S. H.
Went here to New Year’s Eve and it was worth it. Fun atmosphere, with all the games and soundtrack was good!
R.
Has a great vibe inside with a decent choice of games and drinks
A. S.
Games are great, especially the cars. Staff are nice, but no food because they were too busy was poor planning. Also they stopped the cars whilst a bunch of us had licences and mine was lost in the refund. Only 3 pounds, but not professional! The toilets stink, but the beer seemed good and under £5 a pint. Overall fun and a great concept, but a few issues they could easily resolve.
a. g.
Great idea but the staff were quite unfriendly. We came for the games upstairs and you can tell the staff are just done with drunks so they seemed to categorise everyone in the same group. We decided to play a game of the UV golf and on the 3rd hole we were told to go downstairs as they were shutting up. They should have a system in place where they dont allow you to buy tickets to play the golf if there won't be time to finish playing. Other than the staff not really caring, the racing wad really fun, the other games were entertaining and the atmosphere was generally good. We are coming back this weekend so we weren't steered but we know now to just not participate in anything too late.
S. P.
I booked an area in the upstairs games room for my 30th recently, it was awesome from start to finish. The gin cocktails on offer are sublime, our host lady (yup you get a host!) was so accommodating and if you've never been there the games room is so worth a visit - everyone loved it. They're quite strict on numbers on the doors (both main and into the games room), which is great as the place never gets too crowded. I pre-ordered food and it arrived at the requested time and was a good as it usually is (their meat platter is an experience). If I had to say something negative, maybe the music was a bit too loud at the start of the night (yea, straw clutching there) and sometimes the door staff can come across as unnecessarily aggressive (one friend of mine had great difficulty getting in so I'd advise a guest list and telling your friends to come early)?
M. O.
I liked the mood and the concept, the game arcade at the top of the pub it's just a gem. Wan't amazed by the food tho, which I think doesn't really worth the price you pay for. Another thing that I didn't like was the fact that other than the entrance fee to the games part, I had to pay for some of the games. I mean, I'm ok paying for the remote controlled car game, that one is very well done, but £6 (or8) for the minigolf (which is not that great) is a bit too much in my opinion.
S. D.
The bouncers here (especially Rio) helped me out massively when I left my phone in another bar.
Besides that we had a great night as usual and the games were great. Shame they shortened the crazy golf though but the racing is a good one.
C. “. K. K.
Awesome music but a bit too loud. It's a pub but the volume made it seem like it was a night club. The escape room we did there was pretty cool. Long story short it needs more work but the Game Hosts were awesome. Disappointed I didn't have time to ask questions because "Guys, quickly, I have another team.". Please offer more time in between games. Ask a employee at an escape room, you need to offer customers time to chat a bit, not rush them out. We were early as well so no excuse there.
B. G.
Great atmosphere. Good local beer. They have s games room upstairs and lots of fun places to sit. There could be a bit more seating room but maybe they had moved tables for a reason? I’m not sure. It was good though!
M. D.
Great venue and overall really fun
b. g.
Love it!! and been there many of times in the evening with friends and just can’t get enough of the arcade room is just great love the VR and mini racers track as well as mini golf down stairs the music was rocking and just got us dancing for ages. Bar can be packed at times but take some time (expected) but you get a nice service while being seen too as well as they have a quick run round service for collecting and clearing tables but smoking area is the bonus to this as it’s just great for those who smoke... defo recommend
C. P.
I think its gone downhill a little bit. They have gotten rid of the crazy golf course which I thought was fantastic
J. W.
If I could give this place 7/5 I would. It's what a pub from your dreams looks like. You should stop what you're doing and head on over and drink there. No thanks necessary
M. V.
Good place on a Saturday night. The top floor is fun with lots of games, most are £1. The mini car racing is the best. Their beer was okay, the I.P.A was flat and a little tasteless. Music downstairs was interesting, old school funk. It gets full by 9 so come early. Mostly a young white crowd if that's what you're looking for.
J. C.
Okay so live by this pub and have been reading the reviews below! Yes its a busy venue at the weekends and during the evening most nights. That is because they have one of the best offers in London for a pub and late night venue. Games room, comedy, Bingo and everything is done with a little twist. The General Manager Dan is one of the nicest people I have met and what a credit he is to the company that own the venue.
Note about the door - They are not the friendly I have seen and they don't reflect the venue as the staff are all on point.
N. B.
I used to love this place, been here a few times but I went here last night and there was a plethora of discomforts. From the awkward lady at the door, not believing my bearded work colleague is age appropriate and him being detained outside. The lack of seating anywhere if you want to eat (*Tip* they only allow bookings for 15 or more people so if you want a seat then say your 15 but then when you get there, who cares or checks - guaranteed table). When we finally got a table legitimately they kicked us off to accommodate a dance floor that no one used. The Chair I sat on outside in the rain (the only option I had if I wanted to rest my legs) was broken. This place is nice, no doubt, but I think they need to start making hand friendly foods so you can stand and eat because for half the people there this is your only option. There was also a member of staff that looked a bit full of himself, we never spoke so he might have been cool but I got a bit of a douche vibe from him.
P. R.
Standard pub with cool arcade games including Street Fighter upstairs. Downstairs has a bit of beer garden outside. We went back in summer 17 and my friend had a few drinks and bar staff refused to serve him and were a little bit rude. Although it's a cool bar I probably won't be coming back anytime soon purely due to service
P. G.
Lovely and huge pub with a crazy arcade/game room. The beer garden (or gin yard) is cute and so nice.
I recommend trying the remote driving track in the arcade area... So funny!
Always spent good moments with friends.
The food is pretty decent too.
B. G.
First experience here and it was really fun. There was an incident outside and one of the bouncers was not too pleasant and when speaking to the General Manage, Aurora, she was absolutely fantastic and very kind and apologetic about the whole thing. It was a really fun vibe and will definitely be back. Thank you!
H. K.
Amazing venue. Downstairs has brilliant decor, brilliant character and a large bar offering great variety of gins, beers, and wines. Music in the evening and dancing.
Upstairs the is mini golf, table football, table hockey, a projector with retro arcade games and a huge remote control car circuit.
Fantastic and surprising venue. And cheaper then many London pubs. Would highly recommend.
D. L.
Good and bad.
Good: arcade room - really great way to down a couple of hours, music downstairs can be pretty good too.
Bad: unnecessary queues and rude security. Had my jacket taken by mistake/stolen, staff inside happy to help, security staff were just aggressive and useless, left a bad taste and without keys
D. M.
Very nice bar + Game Center. It is the best place to go grab and beer and also do something that just sit down and wait for the second beer. They have all sort of games and you never game bored. Plus they also have VR (virtual reality) games! And an indoor mini-gold course.
The only down side is that people usually spill stuff playing all the games and the floor gets really stick sometimes.
A. W.
One of the most unique pubs I've ever been to, a truly stunning number of selling points to this one. Beer brewed on site, a huge gin selection, a massive beer garden and an escape room to name just a few.
There's also a huge arcade room upstairs, which contains a projected arcade emulator programmed with thousands of classic games, many authentic arcade machines, a speedway racing game (huge fun and only £3 per racer), two VR machines and a unique sceeball racing game. All in all an enormous amount to do and so much fun!
We went for lunch and it got busy pretty damned fast, so recommend you book an early table. The drinks and food prices were reasonable considering the huge amount it has to cover, a star's been knocked off because we were given a tiny table for a booking of 15.
N. W.
Great venue, had so much fun here. Downstairs is a vibrant and large bar with good pub food. Upstairs has a quirky arcade with all the good, old-school arcade games as well as a life sized scalextric track. Would thoughtfully recommend!
C. L.
The escape room was really fun once we got into the swing of it. The host was really nice and made the experience one to remember. She was full of character, helpful and patient with us. Thank you so much for the fun times. Definitely recommmend the escape room to everyone.
B. D.
Friendly local pub with its own distillery. Lots of space and a large beer garden. They also have a huge arcade with games upstairs which use to be a dance hall. Sometimes the music choices can be a bit weird and the tend to turn the music up too high downstairs making it hard to have a conversation.
P. D.
Nice place, the decor is really cool, quirky & kitsch. Music is definitely special (old johnny cash style would say). However the arcade room always has a terrible queue, also queue outside. Just overcrowded.
A. R.
Not bad. Pork belly roast needs a better meat to fat ratio, but nice beer garden and decent selection.
L. A. P.
This place was great. Delicious roast lunch, live music. Good drinks and great service. Reasonably priced too! Lots of tables and open plan space. Would recommend.
U.
Had a great time here on Saturday night. I actually thought the bouncers were really great and kind of got the impression the negative reviews don't tend to convey the whole story...
The place is a bit shabby and could do with a refurb but all in all a great time was had
S.
Really nice staff, good choice of drinks and loved the arcade upstairs!! There’s VR, link gold, racing and a photo booth amongst other things. A quirky relaxed night out, alot of fun with friends. You can come here to have abit of a boogie & drink or have a bite to eat. Or if you prefer sit down and chat; love the freedom here! Very laid back.
R. D.
Visited last Saturday for drinks, nice little outside area on the gin yard. Friendly staff, great atmosphere
J. C.
Had a great time with the indoor car racing!
M. S.
Good food, novel entertainment and friendly service
J. C.
Fantastic selection of gins, best enjoyed in the decadent outdoor garden with comfy sofas and shelters for those summer downpours. Friendly staff and cool interior, well worth trecking away from the high street.
Also visited for the boozy-brunch on a Saturday morning. Unlimited mimosas !! Then the rude bingo hosted by Boogaloo Stu is a riot. Great way to spend a Saturday am/pm
R. F.
Messy & amazing. Great tunes & atmosphere.
A. S.
Really poor Christmas Package. £50 per head and not worth it. The Christmas crackers were cheap, the food was cold upon serving and low in quality. I have previously been there so was expecting a higher quality. Not having alcohol in this Christmas Package you would have thought this would be where the money went. The events manager was kind enough to offer two bottles on the house, but only after I had spent a good amount of time trying to find her and talking with her colleagues who offered no assistance and seemed annoyed that I had asked them to politely clear the table and re-heat the food.
Will be more cost effective if you went there (or somewhere else for that matter), chose from the regular menu, opened a tab, and given each person some pocket money for the games.
Very disappointing as this could have been a really superb experience.
D. F.
I hired the function room which has use of a projector and screen for a meeting with 20 colleagues. When using a venue I have never used before, it can be a challenge, as I have certain ways of doing things!! I can honestly say that Four Thieves were extremely accommodating. I dealt with a lady called Keisha who was very helpful, informative and made me feel that none of my requests were too much bother. She and the team were all friendly and approachable. I would 100% recommend this venue to anyone - not just for the venue room, but also because the arcade area and night vibe were really good fun. 5 stars are sometimes just not enough :)
X. C.
Cool retro drinking place!
S. G.
Lovely staff, even lovelier pub - missing the pub quizzes every Tuesday. Their outdoor smoking area is beautiful with homely booths and fairy lights.
G. R.
My usual pub to go to, lots going on, on the weekday - quiz nights, comedy nights etc. Decor there is amazing with interesting old WW2 era posters, street lights etc. Beer/wine selection is great but the Gin selection is amazing with an insane amount of gins on hand to make any sort of gin cocktail you can think of! I spoke to Aurora who was amazing and the other staff are very friendly and can be quite knowledgeable on the beers (the larger there is brewed onsite!) wines/gins. the upstairs is where this pub really set's it apart form an other pub, the upstairs packs an array of Virtual Reality, car racing, mini golf, critter ball, ping pong, foosball and a tonne of arcade games! they also have a crystal maze room which i haven't been able to try yet but have heard/seen amazing reviews about!
S. M.
This place has earned spot on my list of top of my favourite pubs. Amazing quality Roast for affordable price. Great design and awesome gaming room. Just the some of the games dont have great accuracy or it was just me hahaha The Garden has a very cosy and comfortable sofas for couple of people to fit under the heater.
A. S.
An eclectic pub with a good selection of lager and ales on tap, and a great music hall. I usually go here for the Swing Patrol classes (go Kibble and Victoria!), and have found the staff and patrons to be extremely friendly and generally chilled out. They also have a decent garden at the back.
T. R.
What a place this is. We booked weeks ago and was turned away as they were fully booked. Got a call from the pub to say there was a cancellation and they could fit us in. Amazing food, amazing atmosphere and above all the staff are friendly and service is pretty quick for a pub that's as busy as this one on a Saturday night. We saw a few guys starting to be rowdy and a fight was definitely on the cards. The security managed to get them out before any drinks were wasted :)
I cant wait to return.
D.
The staff who work here are always exceptional and really well spaced out tables (important these days!) Still can't wait to go back post covid for those electric Fridays and Saturdays though
F. S.
Great place to hang out with friends. I went for the beer festival and I expected a crowded and dodgy place but the security guards are just great and keep the environment very quiet. One of them, a very young and nice guy with a military hat, also joked about my t-shirt, I found it very funny!
C. G.
Friendly staff, fun pub quiz with Boogaloo Stu, excellent food and a good selection of drinks behind the bar. The upstairs has gaming and racing as well as mini golf and an escape room. 1 star off as the prices are up there, £14 for a burger (it's very good, but it's still a burger...) and over £5 for some of the drinks on tap.
S. J.
Lovely buzzing pub and helpful staff
G. “. M.
The place is nice, good selections of drinks. Management could've dealt with a situation far better in my eyes. Ruined my experience. If you're just going for a cheeky drink, this is a nice spot.
C. P.
Good for the games upstairs. Tried to get there before it gets too manic though, tough going on Saturday. Could do with a garden open later, as its super hot upstairs and the smoking area is a tad ... Well sad. Guys at the door at a bit tight and unimpressed, then again it's that kind of crowd. Go for the games. The games are fun.
E. C.
It's a strange place, in a good way. It has multiple choice, an Arcade room upstairs, a more classical pub right to the entrance, a gin garden outside and a room where they do live music. They have a great selection of gin, check out their gin chart!
A. D.
Stand-out pub with the massive games room upstairs. Pay the £3 and race your mates on their RC race track, well worth the money as it's such a laugh. Quality Gin too. More people should be willing to nerd-out with a pint and make the most of an evening in this place.
V. K.
Did the Lady Chasity room experience which was amazing. Gabriel was really into it which made it crazy cool!
J. S.
So much fun! The virtual reality game is fantastic and the staff are super friendly. Go as early as you can in the evenings so that you can get upstairs into the games arcade - the line gets pretty long.
E. R. M.
Love the games rooms upstairs, playing streetfighter on a massive movie screen or sitting behind a wheel to drive a scalectrix race car against nine other was simply too much fun, like living a childhood dream with beer and friends. The atmosphere at the pub is great too and drinks have good prices.
D. E.
Really fun place with a great arcade but there were issues with each of the three games that I played (racing car stopped accelerating, ice hockey puck didn't release and shooting balls got stuck) annnd my pint (of ale) was £6.70.
P. S.
Arcade wasn't open when arrived there which was a shame as this wasn't clear.
K. M.
One of my favourite venues in the area, has a whole floor of games & activities. One summer it was Street Fighter on a cinema screen, another was mini golf. Overall a pretty excellent venue.
N. M.
Took part in the Lady Chastity escape room as a group of 6 people and we are really enjoyed it! The host is very engaging and after this first experience of escape rooms, I will definitely be looking for more!
M. C.
Very fun pub. The arcade room is boy heaven. Had such a good afternoon playing old school games drinking! The 8 person remote control car racing game is epic!!
C. S.
Friendly staff, unique atmosphere but quite underwhelmed. Maybe it was hyped up too much for me but although I thought it was cool, there weren't enough machines and a few of them are broken, also the VR was impossible to get on unless I waited 2 hours and even then it's not guaranteed.
J. B.
Great quiz on a Tuesday. Staff are great
R. K.
Honestly I wish I could give this pub 6 stars. We came for the escape room upstairs (which was amazing in itself) but ended up staying for the live jazz (complete with double bass), excellent food and the frenetic games room upstairs. Also conveniently close to Clapham Junction: just a 5 minute walk.
S. P.
The games room makes this pub a hidden gem. A nice buzz but not too busy. The racing track was lots of fun. Friendly staff. I plan to go back.
D. H.
Fantastic place with an amazing atmosphere! Does get busy but that adds to the night! Lots of arcade games and more including mini golf and jumbo sized scaletrics!! The escape rooms are a must!!
j. r.
One of our clumsy friends spilled a whole drink, but not like other pubs, the barmaid (paulina) offered a complete refill. With a smile! Amazing service we will come again.
V. C.
Do yourself a favour and grab your most flamboyant friends and go to Boogaloo Stu’s Bottomless Brunch. The food is good, the booze is mimosa’s or bloody Mary’s and it goes for a very generous period of time. You’ll be an active participant in Drag Queen Bingo, hearing the phrase “camel toe” repeated and doing a Conga Line outside the pub. Enjoy!
J. D.
Great fun, highly recommended
T. P.
Decent bar/pub with a massive games room upstairs! Often insanely busy on Fri/Sat/Sun and would rather avoid, but have found it far more bearable during week nights.
S. S.
5 Star for games and friendly bar staff. ZERO for abusive bouncers. When one was shouting at me (and basically everyone else) I asked very politely what I had done wrong as I was perplexed! He refused to answer. Prepare for your worst experience with them and have your mobile on record. I wonder if they would like their antics on FACEBOOK Live? Go and have fun BUT YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
M. N.
Games room upstairs is well worth the value, get up there for a race on the Moonshine race way if you can but I guarantee you won't beat the champ, Mr Matty Nilmes!
But seriously this is a decent establishment.
G. H.
The games room is great fun, especially the cars. I found drinks to be very expensive but I'm not from London so that's probably why. Great for big groups.
T. B. K.
Interesting place. Beers are nice, food is better than expected, big beer garden and a cool arcade upstairs. Good for groups in the mood to play games
Bit on the expensive side
H. L.
It can get pretty busy on the weekend but it’s good fun in the arcade section! I’ve always had a really good time there though.
J. W.
I run unique work night out in the games room. We had unlimited free access upstairs for out team which I would really recommend. The food was also better than I expected.
A. B.
Went for the comedy night, lots of fun
M. C.
I love this place, think it's my favourite bar in Clapham. It can be very very busy. Did the escape room here as well which was fun but not as good as other escape rooms I have done in the past.
G. R.
Great pub with an awesome selection of games
J. W.
We really enjoy coming here for the games room, as it provides us with hours of fun. The cars, crazy golf and table football really break the night of drinking up and set a fun scene for a long night in Clapham.
M. B.
If you are looking for somewhere that adds to your evening entertainment with a retro arcade experience then head on down to the Four Thieves. In itself a very decent pub on the ground floor but head upstairs for an arcade to rival Sega World in the Trocadero in the 90s.
T. K.
A fantastic venue for a group night out and a great chance to try VR. The Four Thieves is like a hybrid of a 50s arcade and a modern pub. Food, music, games and drinks.
H. H.
Amazing pub! You have comedy nights, you can roll a dice on Wednesdays to get a free meal, and you have a huge playground upstairs with pool, table tennis, flippers, car race and many other entertainments!
J. E.
A HUGE pub, well decorated and just far enough away from central CJ/Northcotte Rd to be relatively immune from morons! Good food, good ales. One of my favourite pubs in the area by quite a way.
S. N.
Definitely one of the best bars in Clapham! Has a great vibe. The upstairs has a huge games room which is a lot of fun!
G.
Good fun wish they had Tekken
m. d.
I really like this place.
nice food served quickly a lovely garden whit wooden gazebos
And an arcade room upstairs!
Lot of fun!
I’ll recommend a visit
T. G.
Great staff and drinks at reasonable prices. Nice style
M. H.
Great vibe and great value, lots of fun to have!
l. r.
Aurora made our night so amazing and comfortable. Amazing service and such a joy to be around. I’d come back for her alone!!!
I. I.
Great place. We had our staff party here. Staff was amazing. Heather, Bep, and Jessie in particular were the best. Thank you. Fully recommend
F. H.
Wicked games; a tiny car racing track which I embarrassed myself on, a mad mini-golf course which is very cool, lots of arcade games, plenty to keep you entertained, & great drinks too!
S. S.
One of the best pubs around. Great gin selection. Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Games room upstairs is definitely worth a visit as well.
B. c.
Came to meet friends, nice choice of beers, efficient staff, good atmosphere. I didn't try the food so can't comment on it. Well worth a visit.
L. K.
Noteworthy features:
1. An upstairs games room with Golden Axe, giant scaletrix, dance dance revolution, time crisis and other fairground / arcade classics
2. An on site microbrewery
3. A room with a Boat bar
4. Over 70 gin tonic combinations
5. Pleasant staff
6. Reasonable prices - circa £5 for a larger and circa £6-10 for a specialist gin thing
K. K.
Nice place to go for a drinks. On mondays they have swing classes - i go very often and enjoy a lot! Gets ceowded on weekend , but really worth to drop by!
A. J.
Fantastic games room, gin garden and an escape room. Recommended venue for anything from a casual afternoon drink to a messy night out. 7 thumbs up
M. G.
Fun place to go with friends or visitors to London
F. J.
A well deserved pint after a long day moving! this place is a little strange but i like it. beer isn't bad. could be our new local
R. G. S.
On the second floor they have an arcade with old style video games, pinball ping pong, etc. It's like going back on time!
They brew their own beer also.
K. K.
We actually went there to play Lady Chastity’s reserve escape game and it was so much fun. Definitely recommend it if you want a fun evening with your friends.
D. S.
Awesome night out...not too busy, not too hectic, just everyone having fun. Food delicious, staff friendly, games room hilarious.
J. V.
Slow service, but good selection of beers and reasonable prices
C. N.
Almost a down fall of their own success.. was there on a Saturday night, yes it was super busy... But hey, it was worth it... Offers a different kind of fun for the evening...
M. R.
Something a little different... Great pub with in-house brewery selling craft beer. Excellent comedy nights and the games room upstairs in an absolute winner!
J. D.
The arcade upstairs is where the fun is!
S. W.
Great place for a Friday night with your mates.
Upstairs with its remote control car race track, crazy golf, plus loads of other games make for a good time
M. B.
Great local boozer with a good selection of craft beers plus the usual brands, especially good fun for a party due to the gaming area upstairs and the Panic room.
R. F.
Amazing staff, so friendly and welcoming. We had a great night, our dance mat skills need some work though!
M. S.
Amazing games upstairs and fab beer garden. Staff always friendly and good drinks selection
L. S.
Nice pub with quirky decor and an amazing game room upstairs. Beer selection is great although service can be slow.
P. R.

M. V.
Fantastic place. Good beer, very good service, climatic garden. On the floor there is a gaming room with VR and RC cars.
S. B.
Friendly and helpful staff, delicious food and great beer. And that upstairs arcade... Amazing!
Highly recommend.
D. H.
Incredible, can take a while to get served but it won't ruin your enjoyment - the race cars are a lot of fun (£3 a pop)
I. F.
Great range of arcade games
C. W.
Arcade upstairs was a good surprise and the pub itself bigger than the frontage suggested. Good spot for a pint and chat.
A. W.
Fun fantastic place to come and meet your friends but it's a over 21 place so bring id other wise no entry come enjoy the music and bring ur friends and family
C. N.
Great place but I was outraged when I watched the barman pouring drinks. He literally filled the spirit measure half way and poured it. I said it to him and he immediately poured more without question.
A. W.
Small choice of good food, huge choice of great beer. I was somewhat put off but the divey look of the outside but I'm very pleased I pushed through it.
C. F.
Absolutely great place. Loads of fun with games and great staff. Shout out to Paulina who was so kind and gracious.
M. B.
Fun for everyone, nice garden too
M. M.
It actually has a properly calibrated time crisis 3 machine! Fun fun fun!!
A. B.
Literally doesn't get better - games, gin, a great swing class on a Monday.... I genuinely got a house closer to this place because I love it so much.
