Reviews of The Fox & Grapes Wimbledon
K. R.
We recently stayed here for three nights and had our Wedding Breakfast with a small group of friends in the pub. The pub itself has a charming rustic feel, the staff could not be more polite, friendly and helpful, they went out of their way to make us comfortable and ensure we had everything that we needed.
The bedroom was clean and comfortable, the bed was really comfy. The en suite shower room was huge and the shower was really nice, spacious and with good water pressure.
Breakfast was a continental hamper (delivered in a cute wicker picnic basket) which had a selection of fruit, cereal, jams, fruit juice and croissants. The room had a nice coffee maker and plenty of milk/coffee/tea was supplied and replenished through our stay.
Our Wedding breakfast - we booked a table for 10 in the pub and we had use of it all evening. The food was delicious and the service was brilliant. It's clearly a very popular local pub, it was very busy and the people there were very friendly and welcoming of our wedding party.
Parking was a little tricky for a long stay but we were able to park nearby at the gold club a 2 minute walk up the road and we left our car there safely for the whole stay. If you are visiting for the evening only there is plenty of free on road parking all around (it is only restricted between 2.30-5.30pm).
The location was a nice quiet area of Wimbledon Village, an easy 20 minute walk to the centre and train station or cost between £8-£10 to get to the station to the taxi.
We will be back, we had such a lovely time and it was the perfect venue for us to celebrate our intimate wedding.

Love this pub. I love the high ceiling in the main room which makes it feel almost old fashioned barn style and the low ceiling in the other room for dining making it feel more cosy. The drinks choice is good and cocktails surprisingly tasty for a place you wouldn’t think to get a cocktail in. Food is really tasty! I think the highest quality and tastiest pub food in the village, and I have eaten in all the pubs on multiple occasions. Staff have always been really friendly too. 100% recommended.
C. H.
Food was amazing - steak and burger. Was gasping for a glass of Malbec which was not on wine list - Gent kindly sorted me one out anyway - makes such a difference. Atmosphere was wicked. Real highlight was the service and staff. Cant wait to go back. Dog friendly.
M. S. H.
What a great Sunday at the fox! The food is outstanding and so is the service. Thank you Tom for the wine recommended and a huge thank you to the whole team as well. It is always a delight to come to The Fox and Grapes.
R. C.
Lovely gastropub - food was generous and well prepared. Service was super friendly! We'll be back to try the rest of the excellent menu. Solid wine selection by the glass too 😍
S. L.
A little bit over-priced.
Located at a quiet area near Wimbledon village. The interior is cosy and plenty space between tables. The food was okay - the chunky potato was really good.
However, the dishes were over-priced. We ordered a main, a dessert and a soft drink each. The price came out as £40 per person. There’s barely any vegetables. The menu was on the simple side - nothing really shouting “order me”.
Will I come back again? Probably not.
J. B.
Absolutely delightful staff and food. Lovely atmosphere and great and varied menu. Traditional pub food options, as well as different options; I had the teriyaki pork chop. It was delicious! And the caramel and apple tarte tatin. Can’t wait to go back!
A. T.
A favourite place of mine as a local to eat and drink in beautiful surroundings. Lovely food, friendly, professional staff, not least David and "100 per cent" Izzy; the latter infallible in serving the most refreshing GnT known in SW London. All well managed by the all-seeing landlady G. Food tasty, though portion size could do with attention. Very dog-friendly, for walkers on the Common. I'll be back, bringing friends.
P. W.
If you like good old British food this is your place.
The menu had good variety but I like my roast and it was excellent.
Also, dogs are very welcome. Handy if you have been walking them on the common!
A. M.
Excellent service was provided by the young staff. Menu was sufficiently interesting and the food very good. All in all a lovely place to relax in, but a wee bit expensive.
L. C.
Had a top notch Sunday toast here! Very fresh and delicious. Probably the best Sunday roast we have had locally. Also delicious desserts (including a GF chocolate cake). Highly recommended. Lovely friendly staff.
B. A.
Great restaurant/pub in Wimbledon. The kids love coming here for a cozy meal as a treat after dog-walking on the common. The menu is always varied and tasty (for adults and kids). The staff are super friendly and always accomodating.
C. T.
Great pub, good service. On our large table the food rated between good and excellent. The Roast hake was memorable, beautifully done.
M. H.
Fabulous food and staff at this wonderful gastro pub
A lovely relaxed atmosphere in a comfy Country style setting
Can't recommend it enough
G.
It was probably too quiet for my liking. Went for Xmas party menu, but nothing Christmassy about it. No crackers or table Decs. The room was cold and empty and the staff did not seem to know what they were doing. Will not be coming here again.
G. N.
My Nephews Wedding reception was held at The Fox snd Grapes. It was superb The food was excellent and the staff were very very efficient and extremely friendly. Nothing was too much trouble m
S. D.
I stayed there over night while visiting London and the room was clean and comfortable really nice setup and in a fairly quiet area, unfortunately I can't comment on the pub or restaurant as they were close when I got there after getting lost on the underground again lol.
S. S.
Awesome pub, with good food , attentive staff and a nice manager. I enjoyed the my visit here.
D. C.
Nice location, food ok, but a bit overpriced: £103 for a 3 -course dinner for two, didn't eat anything fancy to justify the bill.
D.
Good food generally although subtlety in flavours not a strong, as nice sea bass over powered by accompaniments. Very small piece of fish for the price. Nicer environment with less people to maintain social distancing, very nice last visit. Other items on menu good. Still to basics. Hopefully it was a off day as previously better.
I. S.
Lamb slow roast was absolutely heavenly. Service was super speedy and friendly. Great place for a Sunday lunch!
H. F.
Favourite pub in the Wimbledon area. Cozy and dog-friendly with great Sunday roasts.
I. F. (.
Visited for a Sunday roast. Great venue, lovely atmosphere with a nice level of buzz but not loud, top service (attentive but not overwhelming), delicious food and drink. All good!
L. O.
Great atmosphere. Dog and family friendly. Very tasty meal.
C. F.
My favourite gastro pub in Wimbledon. Very good quality food and excellent service. The landlady is really friendly. A great place to go with or without kids and always a pleasure to return.
C. W.
Lovely pub. Good food. Great service. Easy parking. I had such a special night here. Thank you.
A. C.
Love this pub, food is excellent and service is friendly and attentive. Even the locals seem friendly!!
D. H.
Looks fancier than it is. Nice pub. Ok food.
G. H.
Lovely food. Try the treacle tart and clotted cream!
C. d. L.
Seriously overpriced for average food. Went there mid week and it ran us £100 for starters, main and a couple of drinks each. Mentioned the quality of the main to the waitress but nothing done. Perfectly nice place for a drink but I won't be back for food.
A. M.
Pleasant enough, but not really a pub, more of a hotel bar.
E. P.
Lovely independent pub. Best pub food we've had in a long time. Good cocktail menu and extensive wine list. Would definitely recommend and visit again.
C. B.
Delightful atmosphere, friendly and relaxed with great drinks menu!
K. D.
Gorgeous little pub just off
Wimbledon Common. Very tasty steak and burger. Good beers and very pretty indoors! Music not overpowering for the conversation.
s.
Meal for 2 with drinks just under £100 including 12.5% service charge. Excellent food and drink, excellent service, nice ambience, good seating. A very upmarket pub meal.
I. F.
Super delicious. Every dish we ate was really good. Nice cocktails as well. Cheerful and friendly staff
E.
First class, very reasonably priced, nice ambience and friendly staff. What more could you want. Highly recommended
J. G.
This is actually a really nice pub with solid food inside. We had a Christmas dinner here one year and it was very good atmosphere, food and service, and the prices wasn't too bad either. The feel of the pub is also very village like, which is very nice. There is something magical about this place I would say.
M. H.
quite possibly the greatest chips I’ve ever had.
N. O.
Lovely pub, very dog friendly. Small but very tasty menu.
E. T.
Cracking spot a little off the beaten track in the Village. Fantastic food and service.
S. M.
Lovely dinner, had the specials which were great.
N. W.
Friendly, helpful staff, coping with the latest set of Covid rules, without destroying a good pub atmosphere.
The quality and choice of food was in-line with London prices. We had pre booked tables, but not too busy on a wet Wednesday evening.
M. M.
Had our Xmas party there. Quiet one compared to previous. Great fun. Dog friendly. The dog loved that there were treats on the bar so everytime someone went out for a smoke, they came back with treats! Great food, lovely service.
s. m.
Lovely pub just off the Common. Good food and great service. Trad pub.
t. t.
I had a chicory and pear salad to start ... the chicory was very bitter. I had the sausage and mash to follow, which was a large portion, but still expensive in my opinion. I finished with the sticky ginger cake which was exceptionally good.
As a party of 6 who regularly meet for Saturday lunch, this place felt over-priced - £37.50 per head (3 had 3 courses, 3 had 2 courses, one bottle of wine, 4 pints of ale, one extra glass of wine, no coffees).
The service at clearing was friendly, but less so when taking out orders ... so, mixed.
The decor was fresh, new and clean.
A. D.
A charming hotel located in prime position, literally on the edge of Wimbledon Common. Classy decor, warm and welcoming service coupled with a cosy and welcoming restaurant and bar area, this place takes a lot of beating. One minor note of caution however - the property is marketed as having free parking - this is in the case, there are only 2 spaces outside the front of the hotel and they come with restrictions. In our case, the manager went above and beyond by going out of his way to purchase and display a parking ticket for our car. Excellent job all round.
S. G.
We came to Fox&Grapes restaurant recently after a year of not visiting it. Last year I was delighted to visit it - the food was great and atmosphere cosy and pleasant. Now, while atmosphere was still quite good, the food quality unfortunately was not as good as it used to be. We took a burger and chicken dish, the latter was lukewarm and the taste was not as great as when I tried similar dish last year. I hope it gets better as COVID situation improves.
J. C.
The food here looks great but left us looking for more. The roast beef was chewy and a little bland. The fish was under seasoned and left us feeling bloated and off balance for the rest of the day. It's expensive as some top restaurants so we were left feeling underwhelmed. We'd go back for a drink as it's a lovely pub but I think we'll give the food a miss
I. B.
Really good. I had the fish and chips. The batter was lovely and light and crisp and the fish lovely and fresh. The service was excellent, the staff are really switched on and friendly. The whole place seems to be run like a well oiled machine. Good job ladies and gentlemen!
J. O.
Nice venue but very expensive for a pub lunch.
K. E.
My friend and I had a lovely relaxing lunch. The starter was exceptional and we had steak and the tortellini for main course which were delicious. The staff were attentive and friendly which made the afternoon all the more pleasant. Would definitely recommend a visit.
S. G.
We stayed here for three nights during our vacation and enjoyed it so much we came back for another night! They had exceptionally clean rooms, ample breakfast and very friendly, personable staff! This was our home away from home while in the London area. It was a bit off the beaten tourist path but worth the effort. The food was great especially the sticky toffee pudding! One caution: Take care using the stairs as they are narrow and can be slippery. Great experience!
P. A.
My wife and I, along with our 3 young children went here for Sunday roast. Gurley was so welcoming on our arrival and was great with our children...the food was delicious, which is not always the case when having a Sunday roast, and the ambience of the place is lovely. All in all, would fully recommend.
A.
Very nice and we'll run pub/restaurant. Love coming here with my dog . Lots of very classy well dressed clients come here. The food is excellent and the service is ship shape. You must try their burger as is one of the best I've had in London.
M. L.
Great service, fantastic food
J. T.
We came here for a Sunday lunch, and as expected it was very busy. The staff were nice, but unfortunately the food was a little average. For example, the roast lamb was tender, but the gravy was pretty watery.
C. A.
This dog friendly eatery on Wimbledon Common serves great seasonal food, with specials on the board - so have a look.
Staff are often busy but are usually really helpful and friendly
Although accomodating, they usually are fully booked for Saturday and Sunday lunch so it's a good idea to ring ahead.
M. v. B.
Lovely place and well worth a visit. Would love to know how they can get fresh fish to serve on Mondays as there is no catch on a Sunday but, given the state of general apathy concerning provenance of our food, it will not bother too many people. Definitely would come again. V good service and clean loos which is always a plus.
J. Y.
Great food and good service spoiled by the fact that 20 mins after starting the meal, a couple were seated at the next table with two bloody great dogs. I realise this is at the management's discretion, but I think it would have been reasonable to ask if we minded the possibility of the dogs slobbering over my 3 year old grandson - which they did. Had the occupants of the next table been smoking, we would have had cause for complaint. Dogs appear to be fine though. If people want to be fed with their dogs, then they should be sat together in a dog zone.
R. D.
More interesting than the average pub menu. Decent food and beer. Pleasant space, not too crammed in. Pricey but worth a visit.
T. M.
My husband & I very much enjoyed our overnight stay at this delightful gastropub, well placed to Wimbledon village. Service was excellent throughout our stay. We had a disappointing continental breakfast in the morning. Oo off, so near to W Common which was nice to have a pre dinner walk.
P. A.
Very overrated I think. Iast 3 times I've been, I've left remembering that I was disappointed last time as well. People I was with had reasonable meals, so maybe they don't get very good cuts of beef.
T. M.
I stayed on a Monday evening to avoid a long commute home. The staff were very very nice. Staff were more than accommodating and arranged breakfast in my room due to early start. I would definitely stay here again but might opt for the hopefully more substantial full English breakfast.
R. D.
Great for a 30th birthday lunch with the family.
G. L.
When I was in Wimbledon two years ago we went to the fox and grapes......love English pub atmosphere and excellent food. We got there about 5.30 pm and I remember we battled to get a table..even out in the courtyard....had a lovely relaxed evening with friends.
V. A.
I recently hired out an area in The Fox and Grapes following a work event and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. Amazing pub, beautiful interior and absolutely love staff! Will be returning, thanks so much!
S. S. B.
Since this once-revered common-side pub has been modernised it's lost most of its charm. Nice staff but the seasonal food doesn't quite live up to its delicious-sounding descriptions on the menu and there's perhaps a little too much emphasis on the presentation than anything else. The burger was distinctly average and also incredibly small while the size of the fish portion in the fish and chips platter was embarrassing yet the prices are unashamedly high. If you're reserving a table the area to the left of the bar is much cosier than the overly bright and bland area that welcomes you. Bit of a shame to have lost somewhere so characterful and unique in favour of the "could be any trendy gastro-pub" trend.
J. H.
Ok meal. Quite expensive for what it was. £9.00 for a glass of wine. Very busy and crowded. Young northern waiter a delight and charming. They didn't point out the specials board to us which was a shame.
Y. C.
Used to love this place but last time we visited the food wasn't great - thrice cooked chips wasn't cooked. Staff immediately noticed that we weren't happy with food and removed the charge from the bill. I say the service is always great there. But still doesn't change uncooked chips being served. Not good really
P. J.
Great food, very friendly staff and perfectly located. Great find!
C. M.
Great venue, super food, amazing and efficient staff. Very enjoyable evening.
B. H.
The Fox and Grapes is a little out of the way, not being in the centre of Wimbledon village. No matter, its a great place to eat and drink. There are small intimate tables and large tables for families, the wine and food menus are extensive and of a good standard. Sunday lunch is a highlight.
T. M.
On the downsider the real chef obviously doesn't do the breakfast, we paid for a cooked breakfast and it was terrible. We were a bit disappointed to only have the offer of a continental breakfast bearing in mind the room cost. I would who***eartedly recommend that you avoid this place like the plague.
A. M.
Fairly nice Sunday roast, but nothing amazing - roast potatoes felt like they had been hanging around a bit even though we arrived at midday and the gravy was like water. Slightly haphazard service (some good, some bad) and fairly middling value for money given the location. Dessert more successful - delicious chocolate & hazelnut torte.
G. W.
Fantastic, chilled out family pub. Lovely bar staff. The chef was clearly skilled as the steak sarnie was belting. 5 stars throughly deserved.
The one down fall, the one singular downfall was just one member of the clientele.
Its boiling outside, nice and sunny and real beer garden weather..... and here we have this individual sporting a leather jacket. He waltzes in, loud as you like and ruining the chilled out mood by giving it ‘IS THE KITCHEN STILL OPEN?’ ..... its 2pm lad..... of course it is. He then takes his seat across the bar and orders a cool refreshing pint of Lime and soda with no ice and down it went. He then looks up and focuses on the bar maid and ‘ANOTHER’ he shouts. No ‘excuse me’ or ‘ill happily wait my turn for service when you’re ready.’ At this moment she was busy with another patron, which didn’t seem to matter to him. ‘ANOTHER’ he shouts again, interrupting the bar maids service. She pours him his pint. He didn’t thank her. Anyways he then makes a loud call on his phone, letting the rest of the pub know that he ‘NEEDS THAT STOCK!’
He’s got some food now so thats shut him up.... but my god I just know that when he leaves he will get into his soft top Porsche Boxter, and the top will be down the engine will be loud and several squirrels will pile in as a result. His phone just rang again. It was loud. Here goes another conversation about the stocks.
Staff of the Fox and Grapes, bravo with your polite manner. Bravo with your customer service. 5 star rating on that alone.... but take it from another customer.... sometimes its ok to just tell people to f*k off 😊
D. W.
This was one of our favorite pubs to visit when we lived in Wimbledon. Yes it's a little pricey but the steaks are excellent and the chef rotates items on and off the menu based on what fresh food is available. The decor is classic but much brighter than your typical pub.
D. H.
Really nice meal for a party of 4 last evening.
Good food, watchful and attentive service, and overall a very pleasant atmosphere.
We will be back before long.
J. D.
I had visited this pub about 8 years ago. What a transformation! We were on a family walk and stopped for Saturday lunch. We were shown to our table by a bubbly young waitress who took the time to ask us about where we had come from - probably obvious given our walking boots!
The food was a treat - especially the sea bass. We had a nice bottle of petit chablis to wash it down with. The kids enjoyed their Knickerbocker glory's! It was priced fairly for what we received and next time we are in the neighborhood we will return again - thanks!
T. M.
I travel all over the country at the moment with work so to find such a lovely place when working away is always a great relief. To sum up this pub/hotel ooses charm and is exceptional value for money. We chose to stay within walking …
T. M.
I recently Stayed at the Fox and Grapes and really enjoyed the experience. The rooms where pleasantly decorated and well equipped with the usual facilities. At our dinner last night I experienced by far and a way the worst service I have ever had in Wimbledon or indeed anywhere in the world.
E. A.
Lovely little spot. Came in for drinks then took them to the park. Really friendly staff too actually, good humour and quite helpful. Coming back again 💪🏽
R. R.
Overrated? To be fair, the roasted cauliflower cream soup was delicious. However my steak was chewy, and the potatoes were hard, bland and generally not edible. The risotto was good though. And had the brownie been warm, the desert could have been lovely.
T. M.
Coming back from the wedding of some English friends we stayed at the Fox and Grapes and were very pleased with our choice. Rooms are elegant and so comfortable and relaxing. The staff were very attentive. For longer stays, we would likely look for something a little more centrally located for transportation on the rail / Tube.
J. C.
My husband and I visited with our 10 month old baby. Food is typical gastro pub with a bit of a posh spin. I had the fish and chips and my husband had a beef burger, both were spot on. The only downside is that the food was slightly overpriced, even accounting for the location of the restaurant. Our bill came to a total of £45 which was a bit steep for lunch.
R. F.
Popped in for a Saturday afternoon drink as we were passing. Much more of a restaurant/gastropub and the place was full of diners. Food coming out of the hatch looked delicious, but didn't try it. Some local beers from Twickenham and Wimbledon breweries. Probably a great place to book in advance and have a big meal following a walk on the common, but not one for a cosy pub vibe. Also - they are not showing any sport in case you're looking to catch the rugby
O. B.
Nice and attentive staff, good atmosphere. But wow the food has been well below par the last few visits. Burger and steak were very disappointing. Need to up their game in the kitchen.
J. C.
Nice place, proper looked after us. Food was delicious and well presented
K. M.
One of the better roasts in Wimbledon Village. Super cozy in the winter - just don’t get seated in the back room - we were broiling and they couldn’t open a window or move us which made the whole dinner a bit of a downer as we were just dying to leave.
A. B.
This is a friendly pub, with a good choice of drink and a reasonable selection of food. I would give a 5* rating, but I do not feel this pub is anything like value for money. If you want to pay for the chance to relax on Wimbledon Common, however, there could not be a better place.
W. H.
We arrived late Sunday afternoon. The waiter told us they had been very busy for lunch and wanted to check that all the dishes were still available which they were. We ordered the Roast Chicken with all the trimmings. The food was good but the roast potatoes were a huge disappointment. It was quite evident that even if they were cooked that day that they had dried out and were really hard to cut, infact they tasted like roast potatoes that had been cooked the day before. When I mentioned them to the waiter he told me they they do not cook roast potatoes fresh for each meal which of course I know but for sure they were not freshly cooked and should not have been served especially with a price tag of £17.00. The pub is a Gastro Pub so you have a high expectation and as it was at the end of my 10 year wedding anniversary our last meal was a bit of a let down.
P. B.
Visited today. Had a pint of Guinness with cost's I've quid. Not surprising in this neck of woods. Should read five quid. Ate here about seven years ago and I suspect food still very good. My only criticism of is tat the pub is now very up market. Again. This neck of woods comes into play. In the seventies. Certainly it was an English pub of character. Now. I suspect the emphasis is on is on food. Up market rather than being a pub a pity with very few traditional and pubs on this area.
G. B.
I used to frequent this pub in the 1990s as I worked in Wimbledon. This summer (2011) I walked there from Richmond Park with my dog. The pub used to be all wooden and old fashioned but is now super trendy. More restaurant than pub. Nevertheless they gave both me and my dog a drink - very welcome as it was boiling hot and uphill all the way from the park. I would go back again.
M. R.
Always love a dog friendly pub. This is more of a restaurant though, very booked up on a sunny Sunday for lunch. Good beer, didn't get to try the food.
R.
Good selection of pints, well enforced social distancing however the price of a pint is very steep, also given you are obliged to pay a service charge too
L. D.
Popped in for a drink, had a mulled wine which was really nice! Great atmosphere and staff...will definitely come back for dinner, as we had chips at the bar as a snack and they were amazing.
J. W.
Love this pub. Have been there many times after long walks or golf at local golf club!! They also do a cracking Xmas team lunch. 5 stars from me.
J. S.
Staff very slow, not taking orders correctly. Took ages between clearing mains and bringing dessert menu over. Usually it's very good here, so was a bit disappointed.
J. E.
Great good and so dog friendly
Even brought steak bits for my dog
J. L.
Nice and fancy local pub. They do good food! Perfect for special occasions and for meals
L. K.
The staff were very friendly and the food was excellent quality at a reasonable price. Having dined there with my newborn baby I felt the venue was accommodating
S. L.
Mangers very helpful and friendly - leant me a phone charger. Breakfast weirdly served on planks - not ideal for catching croissant crumbs. Croissants themselves were raw dough inside - inedible.
M. N.
Just finished an amazing meal friendly staff great food, real country pub atmosphere which is lovely. One of Wimbledon’s hidden gems.
C. W.
Fantastic staff and amazing food and drink selection
G. K.
Great traditional pub
C. G.
Good pub, nice selection of drinks, friendly staff and dog friendly. A beer garden would have been nice, we couldn't see one when we were there and it was a very nice day, but a good pub regardless
S. C.
Stayed here 5 stars
G. M.
It's very nice inside but it's rather too expensive and posh for a nice pub experience. £5.50 for a pint of Meantime is ridiculous, even for London.
G. L.
Fantastic food great staff and having spent over £400 at lunch with family could have been to have had a drink on the house ?????
P. J.
Great gastro pub. Always a pleasure to dine here. Friendly staff and a wonderful menu.
M. T.
Good service, great food, friendly staff and beautifully decorated setting ... fab for a 3 generation family lunch
P. B.
We've been going for years and strongly recommend. On the one occasion the good wasn't up to usual standards, the staff were great about our feedback. we'll be back.
T. H.
Nice dog friendly pub
G. W.
Great atmosphere and food, friendly staff
A. B.
I had an amazing meal with my friends and it was really delicious. Excellent service. Love this place !!
M. G.
Great pub. Very comfortable accommodation, out of the way and peaceful. Very helpful and pleasant staff.
J. C.
Superb late Saturday lunch. Busy and friendly. Couldn't fault the food. Panna cotta with rhubarb was particularly good
M.
We had a good dinner at a reasonable price. The menu is a little limited but that will not stop me returning.
D. W.
Beautiful gastropub. Limited menu but enough choice to satisfy everyone. Food was delicious!! Attentive team. Will defo be back
P. H.
Great food and staff. Well set up for COVID. And a fab Espresso Martini too!
M. S.
Fantastic relaxing environment and friendly staff serving quality food and drink.
K. M.
Went for a quiet midweek drink. Lovely staff and plenty of gorgeous dogs fresh from their walks on the common
R. M.
Busy and pleasent location. Roast dinners were good, but probably best to go early in the day if you like good roast potatoes..
J. F.
Decent breakfast, friendly staff. Ideally located for the nearby golf on Wimbledon Common.
P. P.
We didn't find an outdoor seating area but just stood outside in the sunshine for a quick drink and it was lovely.
S. P.
Great service and food. I miss the bar area which has been sacrificed for the dining area. Very expensive hence only 3 stars
O. O.
Great pub style cuisine, and very cosy restaurant, burger was really good and service is friendly
M. a.
Good food all freshly cooked... lovely friendly staff...pleasant environment ...I love this place although they didn't have decaf coffe !!!
R. P.
An exquisite three-course meal, lovely atmosphere and excellent service. Highly recommend!
N. k.
Warm and friendly welcome by staff.
Food was spot on as well.
Would highly recommend.
A. P.
Stylish, clean and little bit too pretentious, however I wouldn't say food is as good as it's priced.
Let's say it is an average in a nice location.
P. A.
Nice historic pub with local clientele. Food is nice even if on the expensive side. Good service
J. W.
Wimbledon's only real gastro pub. And by that I mean a pub where the food really stands out. An off the beaten track local gem.
O. W.
Staff were both lovely and knowledgeable. Great service and a fantastic wine selection
S. W.

Alles noch neuwertig und schön eingerichtet. Wasser, Tee und Kaffee immer jeden Tag aufgefüllt gewesen. Das Bett sehr bequem.
Der dazugehörige Balkon ging zur Küche hin. Auch das Abluftsystem war sehr deutlich hörbar.

(Translated) Traditional English pub. Decorated with very good taste, it is a very cozy place. We went to have some friends dinner and we had a good deal. The food was delicious. I recommend the mushroom risotto, fish and chips, and the grilled chicken with lentils. It is also ideal for a few beers, as they have a lot of variety and it is very common in England to find this type of premises. I recommend it 👌🏼
