Excellent pub with a wide range of spirits and beers on tap. I went for a Christmas meal and they were able to fit us in at relatively short notice. Food was excellent and staff were very friendly. Prices are expensive but it's a pub in this area of London so it's not exceptional. Pub was cold as they have front and back doors open in December, but I applaud them keeping the place ventilated in these covid times. Wasn't busy when we went but tables were well spaced.

First time visit & the staff were lovely with a nice pub setting/decor. Going to sound really old now but the music was too loud for a Tuesday after work. I shouldn't have to shout to speak to a friend when a large pub is half empty. Otherwise a nice place.

Attended a birthday bash here and it was fab. Great venue and staff. Food was great and the bar is spacious and can accommodate a good number of people. There's a dance floor downstairs with a bar. DJ sets up in red telephone boxes! Loved the place as did many other people.

Went there for an event - meetup. The ground floor was very nice, spacious, drinks and food delicious, lovely and helpful staff. The venue was downstairs which was more cosy and a bit dark. Only drawback - music was too loud to my taste (as to be fair is in most pubs and bars) for a meetup like this. Otherwise - 5 stars!

A great little bar located in the centre of town. It can get very busy when the 5pm brigade arrive especially on Thursday and Friday evening's but this, if anything, add to the vibrant nature of the place. The food, too, is very good.

Great for lunchtime catch ups over a glass of wine. The interior makes it feels quite spacious and friendly. Staff are super lovely. Gutted the pink gin was cut from the menu, BUT the wine is to die for! There's one in particular that is affordable and so deliciously fruity unlike anything else I've found. Will be going back after lockdown to find out what is was called!

Went to the Gable yesterday (20/10/17) for lunch. Great looking place with a busy and buzzing atmosphere. Service was great although the food did take a while to get to our table. And unfortunately it was a little bland (I had the homemade fish finger sandwich). But overall a good place and reasonably priced. I think I got them on a bad day.

Booked a table for 10 on a Friday night with Design My Night. The place was rammed as expected and the table we were given had stool seating for 4 but we managed to stand around it, just about. We had some party platters ordered and the food was great except the waitress dropped a bit but honestly they expect their staff to navigate a crowded pub holding hot slate and to not scald anyone but themselves, so dropping something is going to happen regardless. I'm not sure they're worth the £16 per platter but they were delicious, had two between 10. House wines were a bit gross but it was part of a cheap package, so can't complain too much. The atmosphere was really good and bar service was surprisingly fast considering the crowds.

You can always have a good time at the Gable. Great crowd especially Thursdays and Fridays. Drinks are not badly priced and there is a wide variety. Downstairs turns into a dance floor later on in the night which is ok. Not the best. Cloakroom is available at £2 per item but you can't have your bag and coat on the same hanger which a lot of places offer. Also have to add, their door staff are pretty nice!

Me and some colleagues had a work lunch here and were quite happy with it - would definitely book here for something similar in future. It's a pretty quiet spot for lunch, nicely decorated and well-situated. The menu has good variety, with something to suit most people I think. It's also quite reasonably priced for the location and the quality of the food. The portion size was just right for lunch, and I was very happy with my pulled ham rosti - though the poached eggs on top were a little bland. Service was friendly, helpful and courteous, though maybe a little slow - we ended up needing to flag down a waitress to order and to pay.

Absoluetly nice bar. We were there for a private party so cant comment on an random evening they are usually open or the busyness of it. I actually love this charming pub / restaurant. From the design perspective - I think they did a brilliant job in creating enough space between all the tables so one can actually move comfortably. It really is spacious and just lovely inside. Secondly I loved the crowd - not too snobby but your tyoical bankers / financial type of people. There is also a "club" downstairs which actually plays decent music. Anyway we will return.

Fun bar with a modest entry fee and an underground dj booth. Highlight of our night was a random patron, who happened to be a male stripper, started to dance on the birthday girl's lap. He was instantly removed but it was very entertaining.

Visited this restaurant for a staff lunch on a weekday and it was a good experience. The food was average and the service was good. We booked a private dining room which had quite attractive interior. The pricing wasn't bad either. Had a happy and satisfying experience overall.

Decent pub in the city, which often does 25% deals at lunch for food bills, so good for team and business lunches. They have underground private rooms which actually seem a bit more seedy than anything else, but otherwise a good enough bar in the area. Visit the Cellar Bar for a great private party, it is very smart and a great place to hold a private function. It has a number of booths with illuminated tables so you can have cosy areas as well as the main event. It has a gigs size bar...

The moment we turned up with the DJ equipment the friendly chefs willingly offered their help in unloading the heavy equipment from the back of the car, not to mention, the food was delicious and they served our meals in great time! We had our anniversary party at The Gable last night and I can't tell you how fantastic the staff are. Nicola took our booking and answered my million questions quickly and happily. On the night, dinner for 20 was served with lightning speed, Magda looked after us as if we were her own friends and the chefs went above and beyond in accommodating meal choices. James was brilliant, making sure we had the venue exactly as we wanted it and that our DJs were all set up, the bar staff were quick and the security guys were friendly. I couldn't find fault with it if I tried! A huge and special thanks to Magda who kept checking in with us all night to make sure we were happy. 10/10 for everything - book your party there right now!

The Gable. Thursday night. A school night! The new Friday! Its a bit like a school disco. Lads in awkward suits and loose ties on one side. Well dressed, well heeled, well manicured girls on the other. There's a bit of a gap in the middle, which makes it easy to procure ales. Beer, music (loud music), after-work gossip (Jenny in accounts is really irritating), fing food, big bouncers, hair being let down and rolled up, lads on the pull. The English pub. You won't find hipsters here, buddy boy. No mennonite beards, tattooed sleeves, rockabilly couples, artisanal shaved ice. This place is for the kids who work for the capitalist 1%, the cultural enemy of the hipster, and lot of fun they're having too. It's an expensive version of cheap and cheerful and a reasonable way to spend that awkward bit of time between leaving work and missing the last train out of London (unless Jenny from accounts shows up. She's annoying, right?) No oak walled pub with an open fire and loyal dog here. Bring earplugs, throat lozenges, your appetite for nachos, your sharpest elbows and be prepared to slake that thirst in a room of 800 teens. DO NOT bring Jenny from accounts. Thank you.

This is an excellent bar handy for so many transport links. Drop in for happy hour beer and cocktails and a bite to eat from a very good bar menu. But don’t sit by the doors if you can avoid it, certainly in the colder months. Every now and again a customer will leave the doors open. Oh and you have to really look to find the toilets. But those are minor things and I would definitely come again
