Lovely atmosphere here, so many great and hard-working staff members. I'll happily call this my new local! The food is amazing and the staff are really attentive when it comes to dietary needs. You can definitely come here for some quiet or some fun, as the atmosphere is really accommodating, depending on what days you visit and the time of day. I'd recommend The Garratt & Gauge to anyone.

I wanted to give four or more stars as I really felt so much of this venue has improved. But due to an issue with one of our food orders I can only give a three (maybe 3.5). But let me be clear, this place is very much better, the ambience and layout work well, the menu has lots of options and the bar is very well stocked. The attendees are a mixed bunch, much like South London in general. I do wonder if this turns into the singles pub in the evening, judging by this visit, it still may. But for a nice bite and good drinks, this will see a return visit.

Old people like me need a good reason to endure places like this; saying goodbye to a mate heading back home overseas was it. Staff were friendly and efficient. Possibly consider a lip reading course before you go.

My friends and I went to the drag brunch yesterday afternoon and we had such a great time! The staff were welcoming and attentive, the food was delicious and the cocktails even more so! And the drag act was brilliant, all together a great experience, we can't wait to go to more!

It's popping up in here!! Staff are amazing, everyone is so friendly and nice. Sports on every TV to keep you entertained, and amazing music!! Food is awesome, I can't praise the kitchen staff highly enough! Definitely recommend to everyone.

Nice venue somewhere between a bar and a pub. Lots of space with various seating arrangements. Pool tables, TV screens showing sport and a decent selection of drinks including some craft beers and ciders and also interesting types of Gin. It's fine in the early hours when it's not so full but gets noisy later on and busy at the weekends. The service is a bit amateurish and the people behind the bar are not very knowledgeable about the drinks on offer. Not a big deal. Prices were very reasonable.

Came here on Friday night, DJ was amazing and the atmosphere was great. The young lady Sophia was fantastic made sure we got our drinks quick. A big well done and thank you to all staff as well! An amazing night to open with restrictions lifted.

It was my first time there and I enjoyed a lot. During weekend evenings gets very busy. Good variety of beers and ciders including craft ones. Good place to watch some sport events as there are lot of big screens and an great atmosphere. On the other hand, as we enjoyed first time, so we came back another day, but we were told by the security person that at the moment there are to many men inside and only women will be allowed to enter. That was a bit shocking! (3 stars only for that reason)

Visiting Wimbledon and found this to be a nice place to grab a quick lunch time meal. Actually found it after being turned away at BILL'S just around the corner, and turned out a better choice. So if your queing there, pop around the corner, no queue and good food. No knowledge of evening or night time, hence 4 stars.

A wonderful range of beers and a surprising number of ciders and perries. I tried a small sample of one of the Lilley's ciders... excellent! Pleasant staff. It's a big bar and there's lots of screens for sports fans.

Time of visit - 17:00 to 18:00 (weekday) This is a review of the Garratt & Gauge on a quiet Tuesday afternoon. The calm before the storm. The venue is big. Laid out quite like how the previous bar Edwards used to be but this is a sports bar. Really interesting decor, spacious and 2 pool tables. I believe there's also a Gamecube there! I can't speak for this place in the evening or for the bouncers as other reviews have but for an afternoon lunch I had a pleasant experience. The food was gorgeous. Food ordered was a stone baked pizza called 'Till we meat again'. Pepperoni, beef, and chicken with a small bowl of fries on the side. The pizza took a while to arrive but it was clear to see why when we got it. It was fresh. "One of the best pizzas I have had" The pizza was a shareable size and was extremely flavoursome. I will definitely be visiting again. The venue has a load of TV's playing sports and there feels there is a lot to do in this bar. I'd like to see it in a different light. Later on in the evening with far more people then the 3 that were in there during my review. Price - Decent. Pretty decent for the quality of the food. They had some really tempting desserts on the menu which you much look at but I'll save that for you to discover! As an afternoon lunch venue... It's a 5 * * * * * from me 😊

Popped into here for the first time today after work. Team behind bar were very helpful & had a good personality. Had the scampi & chips which were delicious. Followed with chocolate fudge cake & a nice amount of custard which was not too much trouble. Already looking forward to a return with the family for another meal. Thanks guys.

Good place if you want to meet with a bunch of friends and dance the night away. Nice selection of drinks and cocktails at a reasonable price. It can get rather busy in the evenings, and it doesn't take many party bookings to take away enough space to make it a squeeze for everyone. If you're after a quiet drink with close friends, I'd suggest elsewhere. But if you want to drink and be merry with a group of friends, then this is the place to go.

Stopped into the garratt for a few drinks with girl friends, and because of the staff, the music, the unbelievable drinks deals (2-4-1 cocktails all day every day!!), we ended up staying all night. Thank you again for the best night and we will be back!

This is a really cool new bar in Wimbledon, both times I've been the DJ and the music has been brilliant. There is a good selection of drinks, and the prices are good. There is a really friendly atmosphere from everyone. Highly recommended

We enjoyed our visit here. Staff were friendly and very helpful. I had certain seating requirements as I'm partly disabled, but they managed to find us appropriate seats. There isn't a huge selection on the menu, but there is enough, something for everyone. My husband had the pie and I had the macoroni cheese with added chorizo. I thoroughly enjoyed my dish and would gladly eat that again. My husband enjoyed his pie too, though he commented that there wasn't as much meat in it as he expected and a bit too much gravy. We did give this feedback to our waiter and he was very welcoming of it and said he would report our suggestion back to the chef. There are pool tables and TVs for watching sports programs, in this pub restaurant as well.

Love pool and cocktails This is new and took over Edwards. Had been many times and love the buzz + cocktails. Love pool table that is something I would recommend all bars to adapt too. The seats are open and doesn't feel conjusted. I would recommend this plain a heartbeat. One recommendation would be for bar staff to accept tab. I tried to open one but I was told no (Saturday early evening).

Never been there on its wild nights but its a great after work venue. Good variety of beers and some decent bar snack to line the stomach. It's a good venue if you have large group of friends as it has plenty of large tables. At busy times you have bag checks and id checks.

Really great place actually. Drinks are fairly priced, they do great offers on chicken wings, and other theme night snacks, service is good and its clean and friendly. Bit of advice to the management - £2 is a bit much for a game of pool , otherwise - well done :)

Food is very wetherspoons-esque, but you don't get the benefit of cheap drinks. Good selection of beer. A number of the staff seem poorly trained and unable to deal with the evening rush, meaning that unless it's empty you'll probably wait a while for a drink. One positive is that it's a much nicer place to be since the renovation. But plenty of other places in Wimbledon which are better!

On the other hand the burgers are sometimes served almost cold and the atmosphere between servers sometimes leaves something to be desired ... football and rugby matches are broadcast live and a pool table is available. The decor is really nice and the large wooden tables are suitable for groups and discussions :-) (Original) Un choix de bières vraiment génial ! Punk IPA, Elvis Juice, etc... En revanche les burgers sont parfois servis presque froid et l'ambiance entre serveurs laisse parfois à désirer... les matchs de foot et rugby sont retransmis en live et un billard est accessible. La déco est vraiment sympa et les grande tables en bois sont propices au groupes et discussions :-)
