Jill and Steve are a lovely couple, old school publicans, run a pub the way it should be for the customers, and they care for their community as they have done for 30 years, come and be sure of a warm welcome 🙏 😊

I stopped in here recently on my way home for the first time and I have to it was so welcoming and friendly. The staff and customers were really friendly and there was a really great atmosphere. I would definitely visit here again and I’m not really a pub person. Thanks for a lovely evening.

So I would give this a 3.5*, the venue has the bricker brack you would find in any good pub. The locals are really friendly. Only downside, due to table service, if you don't sit within view of the bar, you are forgotten about.

A really awesome Pub run by a great team of people. The Karaoke is run very well by the landlord. They had a live band earlier and they were first class. Highly recommended, not least because of the late licence. It's closing at 2am tonight which is a Saturday night.

Excellent and friendly pub. Was let down by Wetherspoons for my brothers wedding and Jill, Steve and the staff pulled it all together and provided a lovely buffet for us within an hour. So, so grateful to them all and a very big thank you to Jill, Steve and all the staff involved.

I wasn't in the greatest moods when I put my review up been thinking for the last 18months I needed to change my review. Gill and Steve are great landlord and landlady friendly 99.9% off the time the prices when I was going in there were good great food cooked so well Gill and Jean was there perfect team. Mostly all staff were great I left on bad terms which is not coming back I would have given it the five but as I am not drinking in there I can't. Gill does lovely food for parties and weaks best place for that. Now to wish Steve and Gill all the best and to good health, hoping your still going well.

Lovely place to visit and enjoy a coffee/tea together a chat to all those who turned up to the Hackney AFVBC who meet there every 2nd Saturday between 11 am and 1pm. The atmosphere is always special and the service was excellent and we are made so welcome long may it continue and see you again in 2020.

Very friendly & characterful pub with loads of live music and more than a few boxing enthusiasts. (If you want cheaper booze and miserable gits, then there's the Wetherspoon's round the corner.) I always mean to have a sing, but by the time I get round to it the stage seems an incredibly long way off.

One of my fave pubs. Thankfully it's an old fashioned boozer frequented by locals: karaoke ,bands, games rather than an overpriced pub. Outside space, food and a good selection of beers.

It's a dive. It's full of locals. There's karaoke every now and then. There's no attitude whatsoever. There's no attempt to be posh or cool whatsoever, just honest people pulling pints. Go with your friends and get drunk on a dime.

Best old school pub on East London , Steve & Gill the best hosts you woll ever meet , love them both unconditionally , Sharon ....best barmaid bar none , great pub , memory lane on saturdays, Karaoki friday nights , for a real feel of the old East End, pop in & have a good old drink with great company 👍👍
