The food was just as good as you'd expect from a Wetherspoons, really tasty and cooked to perfection. The staff were really friendly. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because the pub itself is very dark and dreary looking and it was a sunny day outside. There is a decent sized pub garden though should you decide to use that instead, which we did.

Ok food at good prices. The staff are welcoming and friendly. It isn't the cleanest, but that has more to do with it's patrons than the establishment. The food is ok, with some frozen food then and there, but overall ok. The prices are good as for a large meal with drink you pay about £10.

Experience was fairly good. Main meals were only available after 11:30. And on the particular day I visited, the veggie breakfast was not available due to shortage of one item. Other changes since my prior visit was that the, bottles of sauce has been replaced with small packs possibly during COVID times. And coffee ☕ was self service from a machine.

A nice climatic one of Spoons which is really like a pub :) - plus a nice garden area outside, food fresh, staff very friendly

Great pub and prices staff work extremely hard especially on match days.one pretty annoying thing they do when you order bottled beers through the app they pour them into a glass so when the waiting staff turn up if it's a large party they're not really aware which beer is which because its been taken out the bottle. The whole point of ordering bottled beers is so you can pour it yourself. Apart from that can't fault this place

Very busy, but it makes sense for the location. There was absolutely no space inside, so we sat outside. The staff however, did get two of our orders wrong, I had to go to the bar to ask for my pint, because they didn't bring it. Then went to the bar to get another drink, one of the staff members was just chatting away to their colleague, while I was standing there waiting for 2 minutes or so; that's something to improve on. The interior is okay, but it lacks atmosphere.

This place is ok but Nothing out of the ordinary. For me again the food is ok but depends of the seating arrangements in other words I came with my cousin and we had to wait a while for seating which both of us kept looking out for. Eventually after maybe an nearly an hour we found a seating place this is inside the premises there was many seatings outside but due to the weather it's not advisable to sit outside it was raining that particular day. But on the whole once we had sat and ate the food which wasn't to bad once we had ordered it via their to do so it, it was fine. I've visited this branch a few times and it's good for linking up via transport whether being bus or train.

As a disabled person, I was not sure if I would be catered for fully but I was impressed with the service given. Top notch food and a good selection of drinks. Well done.

The location is very comfortable, spacious but familiar. We had breakfast here and the food was a lot, and tasty. 5-10 minutes after ordering we have been given our food. Very very cheep, I paid about 4£. The waitresses were really kind. A good good place to eat!

The third weatherspoon that I managed to visit while in London and one thing I can say is that I was not disappointed again. Traditionally English breakfast as always delicious and the service friendly and helpful. very short waiting time for a meal, a free refill of coffee is another plus of these places. Was okay, visited on a Friday after work. Security Staff continously shut down areas, and moved us around which impacted the experience we had to stand and wait in a corner for 20 mins for a seat when we previously had two tables that were taken away from us due to staff wanting to close the area down. Pub became very packed as all guests outside were forced in. Not practical.

Had many a good night out there! Loved the meals there and I felt so comfortable, although one time I did go in with shopping and they made me leave all my shopping at the door inside so everyone was literally walking past my shopping.....

It was my second visit to this pub and this one was full of joy this time . First visit got me frustrated for many reasons so I am really happy I gave this place another chance and I dont regret it . Staff was nice and quick in service even during busy times . Fish and chips was excellent and choice of beer big so I had many to chose from . Price was good too and affordable and that made good evening for us . Im happy that even during the friday evening the pub was safe to be in .

Went for something to eat before heading back to our hotel, 6 year old had to wait longer for her meal than the adults and when it arrived her chicken and chips were extremely soggy. Adults food was OK. Ordering on the app easy and straightforward and drinks were promptly brought to the table.

Fabulous find. We were in the vicinity and fancied a low calorie lunch, extra calories for beer... A gorgeous Feb day in London, amazing courtyard out the back of the pub. I would have ordered on the app, but jdw have not yet set up guest ales on it. I waited a few moments only to order, and by the time I'd sat down and supper a little beer our excellent Gourmet vegan pizza, we shared arrived, 300 kcal saved by not having cheese, I used on Adnams Broadside was a very good pint to. Less than a tenner with a side salad too, fabulous value in a beautiful surrounding

The Golden Grove is a decent Wetherspoons option in Stratford, Newham. It has a pleasant beer garden and there is a Morrisons opposite where you can park for 90 minutes and grab some groceries/charge an EV while you have a meal.

Had a lovely lunch with my wife at Goldengrove in Stratford which as is usual with Wetherspoons is of a good standard, we were served promptly by a polite young lady and the food was delicious. Cappuccino as always was slightly on the cold side but we now expect that as normal at all Wetherspoons pubs, if I could moan about anything that would be it. There is a nice outdoor area at the back which on a warmer day would be delightful to sit in.

You will need an ID to enter this premises. Very spacious pub. Located very close to Stratford Westfield shopping centre but opposite morrisons. The staff are very helpful and welcoming. They serve burgers and pizzas as well as fish and chips...etc. There is also a large outer area divided in two sub areas, one for smokers and the others for non smokers. Drinks are very affordable as well as the food which is very good. There are no parking areas around except for morrisons car park which is very limited..maxing 2 hours if you spend 10 pounds in Morrisons. At around midnight, security asks customers in the rear to come to the front to allow cleaning to take place pending closure.

We have visited for Saturday burgers :) Staff were friendly and helpful. I have ordered veg burger with brie and chilli jam. I have disappointed brie was cold and bun was like taken from fridge. A bit hard and cold. Brie would be so tasty melted too. I liked big garden where are signs to not smoke. Shame no one cared if this rule is kept - no smoking garden was the reason why we decided to spend afternoon there.

I visited today and was disappointed with the OTT behaviour. Of course, the staff are just following Govt edicts (otherwise they'd be closed down!) but people are getting fed up with all this. Tired of being treated like lepers and bio hazards. The staff (whilst seemingly working hard) appear to care more about the covid rules than giving speedy service. For example, I had some food and a pint. Later, I requested another pint and despite giving over £3 in tips, it took ages to arrive. I had to go to the bar area to ask where it was and the lady was more interested in why I wasn't wearing a mask. "Could you wear your mask when coming to the bar" she said. "I have a condition", said I. I also gently complained for an elderly couple near my table... they said they'd been waiting 25 minutes, which seems about right from my observations. Don't get me wrong, I like the place... good food at a good price, but the restrictions placed on you to run your business is doing harm to your customers. Whilst having my grub and pint I overheard others mumble their dissatisfactions and how all the "joy" had been sucked out of visiting a pub. I visited at around 12 on Friday

It's a witherspoon, food from a packet, you get what you pay for. What marks this place up for me is the staff, the ones I have met. very chatty, friendly and cheerful.

The place is gorgeous, they made refurbishment. If you are a student or a person in budget must visit this place. The quality of the food is damn good and it’s affordable. Although the portion seems small it can fill your tummy. Also if you think you want to get drunk that’s the best place even the drinks are affordable . During weekends it gets crowded, this is how you make new friendships. Play music inside. Staffs are really nice as they let try you the drinks if you don’t know them and than let you choose. The waiting time is not long as they are good and fast. Overall had an amazing experience.

Absolutely fantastic time here. We tried the new pizza menu and it was amazing. The management and staff were very welcoming and eager to please. Even though the pub was very busy (Easter Monday) our food arrived very quickly and cooked to perfection. The pizzas definitely rival most if not all of the high street pizza chains. The price point was unbelievable too. At the time of writing this review a pint and a pizza was only seven pounds and fifty pence. Definitely check out this pub if you get a chance.

The new garden makeover is amazing. Plenty of seating under trees. Just amazing place to go for cheap drinks and food.

Staff are fantastic and try to serve you quick and always with a smile. Often busy. Beer garden is bigger than inside, lovely for summer but not winter. Has a fire and radiators to keep warm. Has one tv with the news on. Outside was recently refurbished and extended but they didn't do the inside? Tends to be full with students taking up space in the bar queue and at tables drinking slowly on Friday and weekend nights. Tiny toilets. Average Spoon prices for London. Average Spoons beer selection. Still waiting for guest ciders. Avoid when West Ham playing at home as is the local and rammed. In summary slightly more an Eastend boozer than a gentrified Spoons

Not enough people serving at the bar when we arrived at around 9.30am as there was two local football matches, which I think the manager should have known about. We ordered via the website and our breakfasts came out fairly quickly. Okay this was my first place to eat on my visit to London. It was a little confusing ordering. You really need to have two or more people with you when you go into this restaurant. At least one person holding the table and somebody else going to order. The picture with my Pepsi has a number on the table you better remember that number when you place your order. Lots of signs around for pickpocketing. But it was a very lively place to eat lots of people in the fish and chips were fantastic. Prices are also very reasonable.

One of the best around Stratford - big garden, good unexpensive food and drinks.

It's a box standard chain pub, nice mix of people. We had the chilli beef and chips, the chilli beef is very obviously microwaved, rice is quite stodgy and dodgy nachos, the chips slightly under cooked so still slightly hard in the middle. Beer was good though and friendly staff.

Goldengrove pub is a casual place to chill out and enjoy some glass of beers. They equally offer food such as burger, fries etc with coffee and tea. You get free refill for your coffee and tea. As pubs go in Stratford this is as good as it gets. The food is good and well priced; they had some early-bird lunch offers which we were too late for. The place is looking tired and could do with refurbishment. That said, it is always busy especially in the evenings.

The Golden Grove gets busy in the evenings, two outside areas to chill in when the weather decides to behave. Food is well priced for the area, the menu is limited if like myself you're a vegetarian or don't consume dairy products. Drinks are well priced for the area with a decent range of lagers, ales and spirits as well as wine. Children are allowed in until 8pm, there are crayons and a word search to keep them entertained.

It is what it is. Cheap beer, but the staff appear untrained in serving it. There were 7 people behind the bar but it still took 8 minutes to be served - and it was not especially busy. The real ale was served with a head of about 4 inches which took an age to settle - and when it did, it was a short measure. Another pint was cloudy and had a tang of the vinegar about it. When taken back, the young bar member looked at it and said "What's wrong with it?"! It was changed when he referred to his manager. But, beer at £2.09 a pint and the free entertainment (two policemen and several late-arriving security staff cuffing and removing a man in the beer garden) made the visit interesting and bearable.

Large pub with lots of outside space

A classic Weatherspoons pub; large, packed and cheap. There is a small car park at the back next to the garden area which has plenty of benches and some outdoor heaters. It's not an outstanding pub but it's not bad either. One negative that stopped me giving it a 4 ratings is that there are quite often disturbances there on an evening - especially weekend evenings. They do have security there however so can deal with this effectively.

Going to Witherspoon all around the country whenever we are. The best place for delicious food - affordable prices - nice atmosphere. If don't know where to eat - choose this place! Just was in London this weekend and had food in Aberdeen Steakhouse in Paddington. Never again!!! Payed £53 for 2 and had only 2 x 8oz steaks, 1 big potato and cesiar salad ( small poor portion ) + 2 lemonade. Crazyyyy! Next day went to Witherspoon of Goldengrove and payed £26 for 2 : nachos, 2 big portion of steak 10oz each with chips and 2 alco drinks. Really recommend!!!!

By the way this is actually owned by JD Wetherspoon. Now for a quick fact. The pub is situated on The Grove, it takes the name Goldengrove from the poem Spring and Fall, by Gerard Manley Hopkins. The highly acclaimed Victorian poet was born in Stratford in 1844.

Cosy pub, they have a beer garden which is a plus since the other pubs nearby don't have the capacity for one. 3 stars because they have two separate beer gardens, one for smokers and for non smokers. The non smokers one is smaller and the tables do not have any parasols. Whereas the smokers garden has plenty, which is ironic because smoking damages the material of the parasols.

Traditional, very busy & popular "budget" type WS chain old historical gastro pub with interesting Victorian style interior, good budget food, including good English fish and chips, cheap drinks and nice heated beer garden at the centre of Stratford. A lot of friendly staff. Only unfortunate thing is due to its popularity places are very limited and often it us hard to find a seating places there, ie. during evening and weekend pick times. It is popular with groups, young ones, with young couples, and seniors.
