A very mediocre pub. Service is very matter-of-fact. From what I saw, staff hardly smile at all and give no interaction with customers whatsoever. Fairly pricy, although I guess that goes with the area. Pub is quite clean and spacious. Tables and chairs fairly comfortable. Overall, I probably would recommend other places to go for a pint. But unfortunately many pubs in Canary Wharf seem to closed down completely. So there’s not too much choice.

Great location, very nice view. The app doesn't take Google pay so if you don't have a card on you, you must go inside to order as opposed to being able to order from the table. The service was not very friendly but I went to the bar just the once, so it could be the one guy having a bad day.

Nice looking pub, tidy and well maintained. Staff are friendly but pub in general aren't great at showing sports - good number of screens but sound was too quiet and the reception wasn't great at times. Would go again but not to watch sports

I arrive at this unique place once a month since I like the good mood that is characterizes this restaurant. The team is extraordianrillyremarkably cordial and experienced. The service is extraordinarily efficient. Also, the food they prepare is first-rate. I frequent more than once and I was never disappointed. The cost is honest. I highly suggest this place to my friends and family.

It's a high standard around the Canary Wharf area and I wouldn't want anyone to be put off visiting this pub with its generous range of ales. Slightly perfunctory requirement to take drinks outside at the stroke of closing time was a bit of a dampener.

I'm fed up with people moaning about the lack of sport shown on the TV at the Addington there are plenty of noisy pubs locally where they can shout their little heads off at the over paid footballers .the Henry Addington caters for people who like a drink & a good meal in civil atmosphere

Nice pub. Went to watch England Denmark game from Euro2020. Staff was very polite, and service was extremely quick. Food and wine were on par with my expectations for a pub. There is also nice outdoor seating space thus would be great to visit when weather conditions allow.

Superb spot for a weekend meal. I keep coming back for the gin menu as well. Had a delicious Whitley Neill Raspberry and was particularly happy with the Nicholson's Seasonal Salad with Sirloin Steak. Lovely staff, competent service, and glorious moments of sunshine by the windows - though I suppose the later can't be guaranteed!

Popped in with a friend for some lunch here and was very pleasantly surprised. There’s a great atmosphere, a fine menu and our food was scrumptious. The guy who served us was very pleasant and made us feel very welcome. We had planned on a quick bite but stayed longer in this very welcoming pub. I would highly recommend it and I will definitely go back sometime soon in the evening.

I have to say I was apprehensive about coming out for the first time since the lockdown but I have to say they are doing it right at the Henry Addington. There is a good system in place and I felt safe and secure during my visit. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable and there was constantly a lady buzzing about with a bottle of anti-viral spray, misting and wiping, disinfecting to her hearts content. This was coupled with a cracking Aperol Spritz and lovely view over the water. It is lovely to be back in the place I love so well!

Nice pub right in the action of Canary Wharf. Unsurprisingly attracts the after work suit crowd, making for a lively atmosphere. Good selection of drinks as well as food. I visited in winter so we were inside out of the cold, with Henry also having outdoor seating overlooking the water; nice for summer.

Canary Wharf is a notoriously expensive place to get a drink. Henry's is about as reasonable as you can hope for and there is a decent range of wine, beers and spirits. The core staff are excellent and although they seem to have a reasonably quick turn over of other staff, they are all polite and quick to learn. Not full of traders, the clientele are a very diverse bunch and there is always someone to chat with. Happy to recommend

Not exactly where the cool kids hang out, tends to be more real ale and lager than cocktails and pino grigio! However a decent selection of beers and the service is quick, efficient and friendly. Prices are definitely cheaper than most of the wharf.

The last standing classic British pub in Canary Wharf that hasn't been refurbished into a generic bar. Only downside is it gets a tad cold indoors in the winter which I hope they fix soon. I frequent this pub about 3 times a week and would highly recommend if you're in the area for a pint.

Come for the beer and atmosphere Ordering the steak and ale pie, I had memories of a Wetherspoons circa mid 1990's pie. Alas it was not (neither can Wetherspoons match it by the way). The vegetables were but a dried up apology next to the school mash. Must remember to fill those cracks in the brickwork. I can only imagine that my meal spent too long under hot lights as it really needed the gravy to moisten the bone dry exterior of the two leaves of kale. Great selection of well kept beers though and the staff are busy but friendly.

I like The Addington, it's one of the few traditional style pubs in the Canary Wharf area and it rarely gets over-busy in the evenings. Hand pulled ales from various breweries and a wide selection of bottles keep things interesting at the bar and anecdotal evidence suggests that the food is worth having although personally I've never got past the chilli puffs that are served from a large jar on the bar (they are awesome). Sunny afternoons beckon you to perch at a table outside where from early afternoon the sun shines straight down the walkway next to the water, making it a very pleasant place to relax after work.

Errm, it is 'ok'. It is the only decent pub so it is always full of old school business men having a pint. Food isn't great, I wouldn't bother, there are better places in CW for food. Drinks are fairly priced and staff are nice and helpful

So if you are looking for a proper pub in Canary Wharf this is probably the best you are going to find I think. It is next to Cafe Rouge and looking out is straight out on to the dock, and you could probably just make out the Thames. If you are in the Canary Wharf area you'll probably be looking at all the amazing buildings. The pub serves food which seems to be pretty standard but nice enough. They serve real ales as it is a Nicholson Pub, so if you are into that, you will have at least a few to choose from. It is such as small walk from the Underground and DLR so if you do have a fair few after work, it won't be that hard to get home.

Nice pub and happy memories there. The history blurb is incorrect though. Anthony Addington was a doctor who attended the king in his madder moments (he specialised in insanity - I don’t think he was his regular doctor). He was a friend of Pitt the Elder and married the daughter of the headmaster at Reading School. Henry Addington was Anthony’s son, and was both Home Secretary and Prime Minister.

Typical large chain pub, with wide variety of drinks on offer. Prices are much more reasonable than the rest of the wharf, which means its often busy in the evenings Wednesday-Friday. Plenty of space most days and evenings. Food is reasonably priced for pub grub in the wharf, with small but varied selection.

The restaurant is frequented almost exclusively by workers, all strictly in suits, Canary Wharf and the nearby offices of the banks. We arrived for a beer at around 6 pm and the place was already full, we struggled to find a seat. From the tables outside you can enjoy a beautiful view, especially at sunset. Prices and selection of beers are average. I absolutely recommend passing if you want to go a little further into less touristy London. Il locale è frequentato praticamente solo da lavoratori, tutti rigorosamente in giacca e cravatta, di Canary Wharf delle banche e degli uffici vicini. Siamo arrivati per una birra alle 18 circa ed il locale era già pieno, abbiamo faticato a trovare un posto a sedere. Dai tavoli fuori si può godere di un bel panorama, soprattutto al tramonto. I prezzi e la selezione delle birre sono nella media. Consiglio assolutamente di passare se ci si vuole addentrare un po' nella Londra meno turistica.
