Lovely pub, one of the best in the area for sitting outside. Unfortunately the food is pretty dire. Poor offering, poor value and slow. Could be one of London's best pubs if the kitchen improved. The people who work here seem nice enough but they could do with more training.

We held a reception for family and friends here last week. We were very impressed with Clarissa and the staff . Clarissa was very helpful. The room and outside area was perfect. The food was great too. I would certainly have another reception there.

A visit for Sunday lunch to celebrate my birthday. A pleasant settings in the garden helped by good weather. Ordering and payment done from the table by phone but menu was advertising a kiddies meal that was not available. Roast beef dinner was large on quantity and average on quality. The two children enjoyed their fish and chips with the portion sizes being well judged.

The lager here is excellent, especially the Estrella. And it's still very close to the five quid a pint range, unlike lots of more expensive pubs in the area. Inside the pub has a nice old feel to it. The large lovely beer garden, contains many different fruit trees. The cheeseburger and the fish and chips are excellent.

One of the best pubs in London. Im on a mission to find London's best veggie roast and was enticed by this pub by it's beautiful setting on Peckham Rye so gave it a shot. The veggie Wellington was the best I've had so far and the chili squid was also delicious and the drinks were also really nice with a good selection. The pub inside is a lovely traditional style but not at all chain pub style. They were great with dogs and my baby and the garden is probably the nicest I've seen in this city. For the squid, 2 veggie roasts, 1 kids chicken, 4 glasses of wine and 2 pints it was about £80 so not bad imho. Both my wife and I can't wait to go back.

Great atmosphere, great staff, nice food lots of choice. Roasts on sundays. Cocktail Thursdays, burgers on fridays as well as usual menu. Although children are welcome they should be supervised as hot food and drinks in glasses are regularly delivered to tables inside and outside the pub.

I just had sunday roast here. I like my vegetables crisp but they were actually a bit underdone. Meat ok, but could do with some sharper knives. The shocker is that I was charged an extra £1 when I asked for more gravy! Staff friendly and helpful

Great outdoor space, really friendly and helpful staff. Food menu is varied and comes pretty quickly but prices are a little above average for this type of venue. I got the steak sandwich which comes with a side salad. It tasted nice although the steak was cooked more than I'd have preferred. Would definitely go again.

I LOVE this pub! It makes a fantastic Sunday Roast. Good beer. Good outdoor area. Plenty of seats both inside and out. Dog friendly. (They love when I bring my dog in.) The toilets are easy to access (not down any stairs or anything) and are reasonably clean. Very friendly staff.

One of the largest beer gardens in South London with over twenty tables! A decent selection of keg ales, only a couple of cask ales but they do seem to be going out of fashion. It's COVID secure pub with track and trace, table service and frequent table washdowns, on a mild night / weekend day in Tier 2 this would be the ideal place to go to hang out with your mates in their ample garden.

Consistently good. CONSISTENTLY good. A delicious lunch of chicken and leak pie, served in a traditional pie tin, and covered in a fine pastry. Enjoyed lunch in the beer garden surrounded by herbs and shrub plants planters. Plenty of space and very friendly service. I shall come again.

I first decided to visit this pub on a sunny Friday, the main draw being the beer garden, which had come highly recommended by friends and fellow reviewers alike. Upon entering, the pub seemed unusually quiet for a Friday evening. Purchasing a pint from the fairly decent range of beers, I wandered outside and was greeted by one of the most pleasant beer gardens I have seen in London, neat and clean and with plenty of benches to soak up the last of the suns rays. As it got dark, pretty fairy lights twinkled as my companions and I enjoyed our drinks. Retiring inside with a slight chill in the air, the pub was completely empty bar one other customer. I felt this was a real shame as it meant our last drinks did seem to lack atmosphere - helped along slightly however by some excellent song selections by the tavern team. I think this would be the perfect pub in which to spend a lazy, local sunny afternoon and I do hope to visit again before the summer is over.

Tradition facade that invites the more curious inside, a dark wood theme runs throughout the pub. The outside garden is really well thought out and it's no nonsense style creates a welcoming and casual atmosphere. Food here is certainly better than most other gastro pubs in East Dulwich

Before that time the children can see how the dads get drunk but afterwards not ... For night owls, I do not recommend it, they close at 23:00 after the usual bell.
