S. R.This is a little gem! what a great atmosphere and music that keeps you dancing all night. They have friendly staff, funky DJs, heated outdoor smoking area, cocktail bar (great espresso martini!) and as you can see from the photo, a vibrant group of happy people dancing the night away. A must visit if you're in the area! Highly recommend
M. P.One of my favourite places in London. I love the atmosphere, people, and music here. I love how it's the only old pub standing and surrounded by new developments. It really reminds me of a similar establishment back in N. Macedonia, super artistic and alternative, that was sadly shut down. My only complaint with this place is the security guys who are unnecessarily tense and rude. Otherwise it would be 5*.
G. S.Had private function upstairs and it is a very good space. Can fit around 50 people and has space for your own DJ. Has a private bar as well so you don't need to go downstairs

J. E.Delicious burgers at a semi-hole-in-the-wall pub. In the States one might call this a dive bar, but it definitely has it charms and allure. Its hard for me not to stop in when I am in the area. Great times and do recommend.

G. F.This is a gem of a place. Friendly bar staff, cheap shots and absolutely great music. At times they charge a £5-entry fee on the door but as far as my experience goes it's money well spent. I have spent hours and hours dancing in here and I look forward to more good craic. Way to go Horse & Groom!
R. P.It's not a great looking place, but it more than makes up for that with its excellent food. I visited on a Friday night and was pleasantly surprised to find that it wasn't as packed as a typical London pub. The volume of the music steadily increased through the evening, eventually driving us to leave once we were struggling to hear each other talk.
L. G.We had our work Christmas party here and from what I can remember, it was brilliant. The burgers were incredible and the DJ was really good. Needs to lay off that filter button though. Doesn't seem to be as overrun with Shoreditch yobbos and city boys as some other places around here.
N. S.Great little boozer hidden away here. Free table football, plenty of seating and even a little garden. Friday nights are fun too, with a couple of djs turning up, the place fills up quickly and has a good atmosphere.
P. L.I've been to some really great music nights at The Horse & Groom, with a great crowd and a fun atmosphere - but it seems this must be restricted to the weekend.
I called in on a Tuesday night and the place was dead - actually not a single person. Nor was there any music on, so there was no atmosphere at all. The only noise was from the private event upstairs (it was a Speed Dating night apparently). We didn't even stay for one drink as it felt pretty awkward being there.
If you're looking to go here, I'd definitely recommend going on a Friday or Saturday.
C. C.Came here for a few after dinner drinks for a friend's birthday. The vibe is trendy 20-somethings hanging out with beers and spirits. Didn't stay long so review not as thorough as usual. We left when the music got too loud to hold a conversation without straining the voice box, was starting to get to the position where you could have a little dance.
The booze: nice selection on tap, punk IPA etc.
The staff: Chilled
The dress code: post work/chinos shirt, smart trainers.
Time: post 11 on Fridays you will need to queue/ possibly pay.
M. G.Not a bad little pub. Was open till very late though charged a £5 entrance fee at late hours. Two floors and a little outdoor area. Did not get a chance to try food there

K. B.As i grew up on Leyton Cross Road as a kid, this was my local. Not been here in years so was blown away with the way it has been transformed. Decided to book lunch to celebrate my wife's birthday. Guinness was spot on. Food was amazing, i had the lamb burger and she went for the duck dish. Wish i went for that as it was fantastic. Staff were great and couldn't fault the food or service. Will definitely be back.
S. S.Always like going to the H&G. If it's a cheeky one after work or house tunes late on a Friday (I like upstairs DJs best), for me it's part of being in London. Good beers and now sourdough pizza. What's not to like?

D.Horse & Groom are the kind of friendly local that often host private parties and events for a cool, creative crowd - drinks are cheap, staff are friendly and they let you bring in your own DJ/decorations. It's also a top secret tip if you want to be able to get a table during the week; others nearby are always rammed but this is (if events aren't on) usually peaceful.

H. S.Quirky little joint with fantastic house music on late - late (if thats your thing) I have been a few times now and the DJ's have been on top form. Can get rather crowded upstairs but thats half the fun sometimes (right?) This haven is all a bit random but head in with an open mind and your dancing shoes (so long as you dont mind getting a bit of beer on them) and you are bound to have a great time!

C. G. D. S.A nice calm and quiet pub in a sea of madness, beers are quite good, but the white wine was metallic, overall a bit pricy, but if you want a quiet spot in this area this is a good bet.
R. M.Stuck down the "wrong" end of curtain road this is normally quiet east end boozer. However it does have a good space upstairs and when busy on Friday night is a great place to hang out and have a little boogie.

Un vrai Pub anglais. L'ensemble un peu vieillissant donne une ambiance particulière au lieu. La bière est bonne et la nourriture simple a base de burgers et de frittes. Attention, le prix des frites n'est pas compris dans le prix des burgers.
