Reviews of The Hydrant, Monument
C. J.
Popped in tonight to meet a mate for a couple of pints and a light dinner.
Beer collection is fantastic (especially the stuff in the fridges).. food offering is decent.. sown great bits to help the beer go down.
Was a decent atmosphere tonight, surprisingly busy for a Monday night.. stall were really friendly and attentive.. somewhere I’d deffo go again..
S. H.
Standard pub, quite chain like and city focused. Not much original character but solid for after works and great location. Two double g&ts were £24 though so a little pricey. Good vegan options; got the nachos which were great. Would recommend but only for after work drinks.
J. H.
Food was really nice, bbq platter was a good size for our party of 5, but if you are more hungry then definitely order more. Also would have been nicer if the platter was more fresh. But overall very tasty. The fish and chips were really good too. The staff was very accomodating, especially James who was incredibly kind to us. Definitely recommend and will be going back here again.
S. A.
very good selection of beers and tasty food
D. C.
Awesome place! Great atmosphere and good beer! Most importantly great staff. Raul was so helpful when we were trying to find a good beer. Definitely returning and I highly recommend this place.
M. B.
It's a Friday evening. 19.10. A delicious pint of Cornish Orchards cider in hand. Wonderful upbeat sounds from the dj. Friendly staff and manager and good company of fellow drinkers. Will definitely visit again on my merry round of London drinking establishments.
19.51 and still here in spite of only coming in for a swift pint. The upbeat music has kept me here for another couple of pints. Enough said :)
A. M.
It was a nice little restaurant but not so much variety food wise and the alcohol served there was not the regular you see everywhere and we didn'tknow what to order. I didn't really like the wings we bought as they were waaaay to spicy not just a little spicy or the beer as it tasted strangely sweet. The soft drinks and coffee were fine. It has table service and that was nice. Is great to try for a change.
J. J.
Lots of beers to choose from, food was quick and friendly staff :)
F. L.
Definitely the best spot for craft beer in the square mile. American diner vibes, lovely staff who are more than happy to provide samples of beers, and extensive tap list and an ever more considerable fridge selection. Ticks all the boxes for me.
M. C.
Amazing monument in the financial center, you can find pubs and restaurants near to take a little rest
D. V.
Good place to chill.. I will defo visit this place again !!.. I didn't know about some of the selection of beers so the owner informed me as soon as I put a review...great customer service !! Will defo come back !!
V. N.
Good food with plenty of vege options and nice staff. Very close to monument and considering the location the prices were very good. Not long wait for food during lunch at all even thought the place looked to be busy enough. For sure will be coming back if I’m in the area!
H. W.
Such a good Restaurant / bar to visit , me and my Hubby have been that last two years we visit every September as he loves all the amazing different beers you offer.
Also have very nice food and friendly staff loved when you did the Christmas party goody bags last year so very kind of you to do that my Husband has the Hydrant bottle open keyring on his keys still lol :)
See you guys next week.
A. C.
Good beer selection. Good food. Didn’t catch her name but the Irish girl that was working tonight is epic and awesome at her job.
M. K.
Too good. I love the ambience. Nothing can match the feeling of having a beer with monument, the iconic tower on your back. We sipped beer standing outside the bar enjoying the gentle breeze. There are at least ten varieties of craft beer along with all regular alcoholic drinks. Highly recommended.
B. L.
Beer selection was on point. Cocktails looked good. Will be on regular list.
A. K.
Excellent restaurant offering some very nice food with plenty of seating and superb staff. Went in asking for Gluten free options and whilst they don’t have a Gluten Free menu as such they did though offer me their allergy list and I was able to pick a few dishes that didn’t have Gluten in them. They cannot offer a 100% assurance as they cook gluten items but the waitress was very nice in pointing out which foods had the highest risks of cross contamination.
All in all I was extremely happy and the food I got was excellent.
A. A.
Good food and decent prices (ex: full priced burger doesn’t come with a side of fries). The atmosphere was casual and fun. It’s within walking distance to a lot of monuments as well as metro stations.
A. H.
Lovely staff, and served us politely and quickly. Very close to the monument.
H. S.
Great range of beers, something like 4 cask and 12 keg. Food was nice too.
A. S.
Nice place for lunch. They serve both fish and meat dishes, so there is plenty of choice. Their chips are also very nice, not the regular thing ones, but more in a Dutch style.
R. A.
Lovely pub really cool staff good choice of drinks. Super design. Really enjoyed it there
P. M.
Very smokey pint... don't recall the name (a rauchbier)... made all the more enjoyable by the insistence that I should try it before ordering a pint.
A. T.
A nice city pub by Monument tube station. Expensive, but as an older male, was disappointed that when it started to rain, at approximately 17.15 all the male staff remained in the bar, while a young, attractive, efficient, blond employee, spent ages carrying all the outdoor furniture into the premises. What happened to the age of chivalry???? I seriously hope management rectify this as she had no help at all... No teamwork .......
R. C.
Good vibes, a little loud downstairs but more relaxed upstairs. Food was pricey but tasty, including the veggie burger!
U. P.
Nice place of after works drinks. With a good selection of beers.
M. P.
Amazing selection of beers, really tasty food and super helpful staff!
S. W.
Popped in here for a drink so can't rate the food. Really loved the decor and the staff were super friendly. I watched as one member of staff was making a cocktail(he didn't realise I was watching), he tasted it, wasn't happy and made a fresh new one - customer was sat outside so wasn't done for show and I think it says a lot for great customer service. They are following covid guidelines.
R. S. R.
The ambiance of this restaurant is great, with a nice space for groups. We got a vegetarian dish (they also serve nice vegan food), a burger and a fish and chips, and the food was great. They have a good selection of beers, including local ones. Also, the staff was very nice.
A. S.
Getting expensive. And closing the whole mezzanine floor for pvt function makes it very crowded on the groud floor.
R. I.
Loads of greet beers to choose from, great atmosphere too.
A. B.
Brilliant venue. Service, food, ambience, are all super duper.
T. G.
Awesome venue, very accommodating for my birthday party. Not too busy on the weekends but great spot.
F. B.
Had a delicious neck oil pint after work. Did what it says on the tin, absolutely slipped down. Glad to see they've been allowed to utilise the abundant space by the monument for more dining. Good to support one of my locals post work.. more to come!
Also very important to note that finally a pub actually serving in proper glassware.. literally every pub right now seems to be using these horrible plastic throwaways... Good on you Hydrant!
w. t.
Great location, nice staff, variety of drinks, love the atmosphere. What else u need. Just pop in n enjoy ur drink.
R. M.
Nice spot; Pints were little expensive for me, considering I am tourist from Dublin; starting from 5.50 £
M. W.
Slightly touristy in feel , but great selection of beers from Fullers brewery.
U. C.
Very good service. Its modernity fits well in the shadow of the pudding lane monument. Convenient location.
C. L.
Decent choice of beer, friendly helpful service, exorbitant prices.
Modern bar literally spitting distance from the Monument. Pleasantly chilled mid-afternoon on a Bank Holiday Monday.
J. C.
Oktoberfest beer and good wurst. The perfect place to track the London Marathon
M. B.
The Hydrant is a great City pub. The staff are friendly and very good at their jobs. The food is excellent pub fare and the beer is top quality and well looked after. Would highly recommend.
P. K.
I don't know why this place has so bad opinion. There is various choice of different beer that you can taste before buying. The climate is also good. 5/5
PS. Thank you for returning my loss :)
D. B.
Great selection of beers and tasty food. Interior was also well thought out.
J. M.
Great spot for a bite and a pint. Try the fish and chips (of course), and the Dark Star Revelation is a great beer pairing.
E. B.
Really enjoyed trying some different brews and the food choice of the menu was good, just the job. Lovely friendly people serving the bar and tables
m. m.
Amazing wings. You need to try them. Absolutely brilliant little find.
n. p.
Great place for a drink, good to see its made it through covid!
B. W.
Nice intimate downstairs bar with a wide selection of craft beers.
S. D. S.
Really lovely place to visit steeped in history. My children enjoyed both playing and learning here. Well worth a visit.
B. F.
An alright bar pretending to be a pub. Good beer are selection and food looked very tasty.
J. J.
Ok, but a bit noisy. For the younger crowd.
e. H.
Fuller's bar and American style restaurant with loads of other craft beers on offer. Right next to the London Monument.
M. J.
Nice food and a great range of Beers
L. F. (.
Nice pub, great staff, good drinks. Haven't tried the food yet, but looks decent too.
M. D.
Great selection of beers. Only not 5 stars due to the trendy lighting flickering all the time
C. F.
Nice food. Good selection of drinks
A. P.
Tastey food, good coffee, nice atmosphere & friendly staff.
D. R.
Very nice staff, nice big space for a central location, good price for quality of food and drinks
J. J. M.
With much appreciated seating outside, late afternoon sun with gin and tonics on the side, what could make for a better end to the day?
C.
After a great time visiting the tower of London we called here for a pint. Great place.
M. P.
I went for breakfast with a few friends and was impressed with the service and quality of the food. I chose the scrambled eggs and smoked salmon which was definitely a good choice. The eggs were perfectly cooked and the salmon was high quality, thick and rich. Paired with the sourdough bread it was definitely a treat and the price was very reasonable for this kind of breakfast. I’ll definitely be coming back for more!
J. J.
Good place, nice atmosphere. Good selection of beers, but quite expensive- although I might be used to non- London prices now!
J. T.
Nice coz place just beside the monument, good craft beers!
D. G.
Visited for colleagues 50th event. Decent modern pub with spacious downstairs and upstairs areas, the party tables were well chosen, in the upstairs area which was nicely decorated in a mix of classic oak and comfy cushioned seats.
We were assigned a table server who was very professional and friendly. The bar and area staff were equally as friendly and professional
Food menu traditional burgers, fish and chips and contemporary pub food, vegan and other options available.
Overall a great evening helped by the good food, atmosphere and staff (which can mean a lot at milestone birthday events) Highly recommended
S. M.
Nice atmosphere 👍🏻
M. O.
What can I say. Great cocktails, food superb and lovely staff.
B. N.
Good place for a beer after work. They have good indoors space as well as outdoors view to the Monument.
J. S.
A fantastic pint and really helpful staff.
R. H.
Great to be back inside a pub. Staff all helpful and decent food.
S. F.
Great burger.
s. s.
Good themed food when we went in
P. K.
I don't know why this place has so bad opinion. There is various choice of different beer that you can taste before buying. The climate is also good. 5/5 …
A. S.
This is a great lively place to go for some after work drinks. The beer and wine range is quite good with some craft beers on tap but the bar does get very busy on a Thursday and Friday. There is more room and seating upstairs which tends to be less busy. The food is OK very much comfort dining but it's not the best quality. I like the fact that it is been designed to feel like a fire station as it is located close to pudding lane and the monument which is famous for the great fire of London.
J. J.
Table service so you don't have to go in to the bar. Scan the code, order food and drink, or just drink, and the servers come to you. Not hugely cheap but this is central London
P. S.
Fullers pub tend to have reasonably consistent food quality (scotch eggs!) and standard (London standard!) beer prices (more expensive than a wetherspoon, less expensive than an independent). As with most pubs in London, it's hard to get a feel for the Hydrant when you're rubbing shoulders with 1,500 other punters trying to get served. From what I could make out, it's nicely furnished and an easy meeting spot for lunch if you're working in the city proper.
A. L.
A great middle ground between a bar and a pub. The hydrant has plenty of space, a fine selection of pints and an atmosphere which is loud enough to feel energetic but still easy to talk. It's a popular haunt for city workers for a very good reason
K. C.
Some unusual IPA's which were decent and food was ok.
X. D.
Nice and cozy, excellent BBQ platter 👌
R. T.
Great location and decent views for tourists resting their legs after a climb up the Monument. Within walking distance of London Bridge. But nothing extraordinary about the service or menu, except for the unusual beer / ale choices.
D. B.
Service was good. Good selection of beers and Ales, but the menu was a limited selection of pub grub dishes. It was pretty underwhelming when it arrived, maybe I'm greedy but the portions were small. Food was good, but relatively pricey considering the small portions.
I won't be rushing back to eat there despite it being good for my waistline.
J. R.
Grate pub, friendly staff, well done guys
P. T.
Decent seating in this pub and second bar upstairs which is very useful when it gets busy on a Thursday night. Extensive drinks menu to cater for everyone and last time I was there was a work do in a cordoned off area but the place is huge so didn't affect everyone elses evening.
M. J.
Very nice pub in a great location. It has a fantastic selection of beer (though it's expensive, even for London). Food is okay - relatively standard pub fare. Gets very busy, but generally possible to find a table.
S. G.
The location of this venue is really good. It's literally next to monument and surrounded by business buildings which makes the place a little bit busy at Thursdays and Fridays evenings. Pleasant venue to have a few drinks with your friends or even to have some snacks or dinner. Definitely nice place to meet your friends after work.
E. H.
A fantastic array of niche craft beer, as well as the favourites. The staff were friendly and chatty. I did not get to eat here but the menu looked amazing, definitely will be back.
T. B.
Stopped for a quick drink along the embankment of the Thames. Very nice
J. H.
Pleasantly surprised by this place. Decour is great. Drinks reasonably priced for the area. Staff are all friendly and smile with every order. Seeing as this is right close to the banking district it's refreshing to have a place that isn't necessarily there to cater to the snobby suits.
S. F.
An attractive bar with a decent selection of beers, that's only a couple of minutes from the Monument and station by the same name.
It's popular and does tend to get crowded after work so book ahead or think twice if you're looking at it as a possible venue for an after work date.
I've removed a star as they tend to play the music about twice as loud as it needs to be; I'm not sure they realise nobody, certainly not at 7pm, is there to dance and everyone has to shout at one another to speak.
A. S.
Amazing staff, food and music. Thank you Hydrant! See you soon.
T. R.
Located stone-throw away from the Monument tube station, the bar has a good selection of beers and knowledgable staff to help you navigate your way around them. I like that the place has large windows and a lot of natural light (+ a view on of the monument), although it gets very busy and noisy in the evening.
J. G.
Good place to go for a drink but the food was more pricey than I expected. £10 for a burger is a standard. But you'd expect to get a side of chips with that even if it was pound more. Drinks and service were very good though. Will go again
t. b.
Wonderful service today. It was a work colleagues birthday and the staff put little party gifts and happy birthday sign - which we appreciated. We pre-ordered and the food arrived pretty promptly. Thank you Paris and the rest of the team.
B. L.
I am biased, I used to drink here before it changed to the hydrant in 2015. In its current iteration the ale selection has expanded nicely and the atmosphere has changed for the better.
Suffers from the city crowd later in the week so the bar can get busy. Haven't eaten here but generally what I do see being served looks well presented.
Not the cheapest of bars but thats the London effect for you. Nice place to enjoy the sun shine outside the front with a pint overlooked by the "Monument".
P. C.
Wonderful experience. The place I met my one true love in September 2011 after so long apart and enjoyed so many happy moments, memories and great meals and fine wine. The food was always excellent, the staff friendly and the company superb. I shall always treasure this honest and genuine experience with the one I will always love and the wonderful surroundings that made it so memorable for me. Perfect before or after a romantic stroll on London Bridge and in Borough Market.
B. N.
Good place for a beer after work. They have good indoors space as well as outdoors view to the Monument.
J. B.
Pricey but good pints, enjoyed my food
A. M.
Really enjoyed this place. The food was great and the staff were more than accommodating. Good busy atmosphere whilst still attentive. Good, if narrow, wine selection too. A most pleasant dining experience.
M. C.
A good selection of craft beers. Why aren't there more Fullers pubs like this?
D. S.
Nice little Fullers pub not great sitting outside at the moment because of limited pavement space. Love the lights made out of fire extinguishers. However for a really good Fullers pub I prefer the Barrowboy and Banker just across the bridge hard by Borough Market!
A. d. K.
Friday lunch time favourite with the team. Wide variety of options on the menu - sometimes not always available though so would encourage the restaurant to ensure the more popular meals are well stocked!
C. D.
the foood is sooo gooood! we ordered a few dishes & it was all great! it’s my first time eating jackfruit (they have it in a taco) & i am officially in love! i wish it was easy to get my hands on it back at home. this is literally right next to the monument so it’s a perfect spot to sit down & eat/have a drink after that workout of a walk! haha! service is fast & great! the prices are great as welll!
S. “. H.
My friend reserved a table but they messed up the booking so we had nowhere to sit for a short period of time while they sorted out some seating upstairs. Eventually, we were squished on to a small table in the corner. They gave us a free bottle of prosecco for our troubles (it was just enough to keep us relatively happy). They had a good selection of beer and rum and the bartender was very keen to chat about the selection of rum on offer. I had the crispy buttermilk chicken with kohlrabi and apple slaw. The chicken was a little dry and the dish overall is nothing to shout home about but nonetheless edible. Table service was slow too.
M. F.
Decent beer, quick service and salads were nice and fair value for location but bot cheap. We managed to get a table upstairs which was handy but place was full enough to have a bit of a buzz
R. A.
A nice pub with a large selection of beer and spirits. Good isn't too bad either. It's in a good location and has loads of outdoor space, although it's very much a "city pub" and full of after-work drinks.
A. S.
The hydrant is a place to be on the map of London! This pub was so nice that during our 4-days trip to London we visited it twice. Staff was super kind and friendly and o my this maple bourbon stout - honestly never had a better beer (and I'm saying that as a person living in Belgium, if you know what I mean! ) Definitely recommend for beer fanatics. Cheers!
A. S.
The service staff were great, good information about food allergens. Unfortunately the food was a bit mediocre, the bunless burger was tasty but salty served with a lettuce leaf and half a slice of onion - I requested no tomato and the sweet potato fries were a little soggy. Great decor, better for drinks than eating.
A. L.
Place and food are OK. Service not so great. Considering I had not visited during peak time I wouldn't expect to be rushed. Good spot if you want to have a pint while having a close look at The Monument.
L. G.
Great food, great atmosphere, great location, ok service.
J.
Didn't eat, only had drinks. It was happy hour, cocktails were nice, staff was professional. It's one of our work-local. Good place.
P. R.
The upper level was closed when we visited. The place was okay I guess. The burger was decent and they served this one sour beer which was fantastic. Seating was a bit suboptimal as we couldn't have our seats on the upper level.
A. K.
Average food. Long wait.
Mac and cheese very dry, chicken wings too salty. Ribs well cooked though. Staff attentive but long wait for food when ever do slightly busy.
K. H.
Tucked just around the corner from Monument station is The Hydrant.
This place has so much going for it so I will start with the positives; the decor is laid back, well-finished and at times intriguing (I loved the lampshades made from fire extinguishers), making the restaurant a little escape pod in the very centre of a bustling city.
The prices here are good too. You can get a decent sized meal and soft drink at lunch time for around the £15 mark.
The stand out plus point is the service. The staff were welcoming, friendly and attentive without ever interrupting my friend and I or going overboard with it. The food was also served quickly, freshly cooked and we were able to hail the waitress, get the bill, pay it and be out the door within the space of 10 minutes. Extra points, as far as I'm concerned.
Sadly, the food didn't match up to the rest of the place. The choice of food on offer itself looks great, there was plenty of lovely sounding dishes to choose from. I ordered the chicken club and the chicken was delicious, but there just wasn't much of it. The sandwich was 85% egg. The rosemary salt fries ordered on the side were also a bit of a let down being overcooked, dry and actually not at all rosemary or salty-ish.
Overall, I would give it another go to try another dish because I think that The Hydrant is bursting with potential to be great, it's just the food that is letting it down.
s. s.
Good themed food when we went in
K. E.
Great bar very lovely and the table service was excellent and fast.
R. C.
Really nice bar with a good selection of beers and wines. The service was very good and the staff seemed really friendly. We have a selection of the food which was very good indeed. I would definitely recommend this place.
A.
EDIT: Don't close so early on a sunday :D
L. D.
Usually has a good selection of craft beers on tap, as well as in cans and bottles in the fridges. The selection on tap is mainly comprised with craft beers by Fuller's, but there are usually around 5 other breweries in there also. It gets very busy in the evenings, and in the summer also very busy at lunch time. Prices are on the expensive end of the scale, and doesn't really have the same "craft" feeling like perhaps the Draft House on Seething Lane, or the Rake in Borough Market
R. H.
Great to be back inside a pub. Staff all helpful and decent food.
i. c.
Nice range of beers, but quality of food poor (eg. side of spinach inedible - sent back, meatballs served cold, but soldiered through them - regretfully), and size of portions miserly. Nice enough venue, but staff probably need a bit more training, and should treat their jobs less like a social meeting
A. H.
Good beers and friendly staff. Even few tables outdoors.
D. K.
Good choice of beer and plenty of space across two floors. Easy to book a private area. Prices are in line with other central London pubs.
C. G.
Thursday and Friday after 5pm, this place gets pretty packed. There's two large bars so the wait for drinks isn't long and they have a good selection on drought. If going on the days and times mentioned, expect to feel like you're on a busy tube.
J. W.
Good selection of pale ales and hoppy beers. Right next to Monument so good food traffic if you like people watching. If you time it right good outside sunshine. Wouldn't go here for inside boozing.
J. H.
Fun atmosphere. Did a beer and cheese pairing evening which was interesting!
T. G.
Very loud and noisy on a friday night. To the point you can't have a conversation without shouting. Seems very popular for after work drinks as it had quietened down significantly by 10pm.
Not my type of place at all, but if you're looking for a party place at 7pm this might be worth a visit
N. K.
Good service and seating. The gnocci was very nice. Portions weren't the biggest but I say, quality over quantity. Cider off the tap was nice too.
H. Q.
Love this place, decent prices for London, not cheap but not the most expensive. Good selection, lots of seating, food is also served but I haven't tried any yet. Staff are very friendly, only a few chairs and tables outside, but close to a lot of transport links.
D. W.
Great pub fantastic beers. Especially good to see Buxton down south. Hopefully you will get some of their omnipollo collaborations. They do a fantastic peanut butter biscuit stout.
T. R.
A friend was visiting and we needed somewhere close to my office to meet for lunch. Having seen The Hydrant during my walk from London Bridge it seemed like a convenient option.
The first thing I have to say is that the service here is impeccable. The hostess is really friendly and efficient and the waitress was really attentive and on the ball. They're friendly and chatty without being too much which is a welcome thing in the city. Our food was brought promptly, as was our bill and everything was really seamless which is greatly appreciated.
Unfortunately, the food was a bit pants. We ordered a chicken club sandwich and burger respectively and then got some of the fries to go along with it. I am a burger lover and was intrigued by the secret sauce. I think the secret was that there wasn't one. The burger itself was pretty big but it was dry as a bone and completely flavourless. I must say though, the pickled onions were a nice touch. If it wasn't for the burger itself being such a let down I think that would have really set it off. The chicken club was pretty much an egg sandwich with a guest appearance from chicken.
All in all the prices are pretty standard for a restaurant in this area, £12 for a sandwich/burger and a side but because the food was so bland I'm not sure that I would go there again which is a shame because I really liked the restaurant and the staff.
They do specialise in small plates though so might have to go back and try these before completely righting it off.
P. H.
Not too expensive and close to the tube. There was a good range of beers on tap. There whole place has a slightly tongue in cheek atmosphere. Enjoyed my night.
C. R.
Great beer selection. Tad expensive but to be expected for London.
Menu doesn't cater for Groups which is pants when you try host a Team of colleagues or networking event. Sort it out Fullers.
a.
Such a great place. Good buzz and friendly staff. Always have a great time here. Brilliant selection of ales, IPAs and lagers that are regularly changed to keep things interesting.
b. h.
I have been told that I have a great deal of experience in the past so much I appreciate the opportunity to be able to make a difference in your current situation with the notes I have been able to make. The only way to get the relevant details of my experience in this establishment and the rest of the building to be a good place to eat and drink.
T. R.
Nice clean pub restaurant. Went In for breakfast it was excellent and staff friendly but only gave it 4 stars because they already added service charge and I like to make my own decision for this.
A.
Good atmosphere, very nice and cozy fullers pub with a large selection of beers! Friendly stuff and good service, perfect to spend a few hours with your friends.
J. p.
One of the better wheelchair accessible pubs in central London. It's location makes it great for drinks after work and it's food is on par with most gastro pubs.
C. B.
Food was nice enough, service let it down so slooooow!!! And then to add insult, wasnt asked if i would like to pay the service charge it was just thrown on i am very irritated by this, food here is quite expensive and they say there is a kid kenu which is lies its just a smaller version of the adult roast
M. J.
A large craft beer selection, decent food. Lots of outside space on the street. The inside is decorated with various fire extinguisher lamp shades which looks good.
L. M.
Very nice and cozy place, the blond waitress-Ugne was the best :D she is extremely kind and helped us to choose the right beer for us, I've never encountered such good service!!
J. M.
Always thought this was a mainstream, commercial kind of a bar, but was pleasantly surprised to discover it's a real ale pub. But don't go if you're epileptic - the LED bulbs were strobing really badly!
C. B.
Great food, quick service and lovely staff. Would definitely go back again. I want to try the amazing looking cocktails I seen at the bar.
K. H.
A busy city of London pub with a craft beer twist added on top of the classic Fuller's brewery heritage. If you're into tasty beers, look at the Fuller's bottle selection - the Vintage and Imperial Stout are great
N. C.
Quite a nice selection of good bars on tap and even more as a bottle/can. Crowded and a good atmosphere, but mostly business people who want a drink after work.
D. D.
Big pub right next to the Monument itself, large upstairs bar and tables to take the pressure off the downstairs arrangement.
On a hot day (and it was) a lot of space outside for people to take their drinks, not tables but plenty of pavement.
M. T.
Found this place while randomly walking around. Really good food and worth stopping in. Service was great and our food came out quick. I would highly suggest going here. We would go back!!
C. H.
Foods not great (for price) but as a venue for a beer it's a great spot, really good. Good atmosphere and service is quick.
E. D.
Me and my friend were here today and about to leave and couldn’t not leave a review, the atmosphere is lovely the staff are really attentive and welcoming, great job team 🤙🏻
( prefer it over a Nando’s- and that says something)
We had two peri peri 🍔, was the best I’ve had!
Thanks 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻

Excellent food with lots of flavor. Friendly servers and chill atmosphere. Amazing sticky toffee pudding.
L. D.
Usually has a good selection of craft beers on tap, as well as in cans and bottles in the fridges. The selection on tap is mainly comprised with craft beers by Fuller's, but there are usually around 5 other breweries in there also. It gets …

The upper level was closed when we visited. The place was okay I guess. The burger was decent and they served this one sour beer which was fantastic. Seating was a bit suboptimal as we couldn't have our seats on the upper level.
J. p.
One of the better wheelchair accessible pubs in central London. It's location makes it great for drinks after work and it's food is on par with most gastro pubs.
G. L.
My favourite pub in the area, clean, airy, and good beer. Northern Monk on pump, wahey!
C. M. M.
Nice service on a Sunday afternoon & great selection of beers. Cool decor and chilled atmosphere when we were there.

The tables can be a fraction cleaner though
J. S.

A reasonable watering hole (and definitely the kind of place that people call a watering hole), with a good range of your standard non-standard drinks. Handily located to stumble back to London Bridge or Bank tube stations, as needed.
W. G.
Nice selection of beers and comfy seating. Good food menu and friendly staff. Close to Monument ststion with a nice view of the Monument.
B. B.
Nice bar for after work drinks. Good service at bar and range of beers. Sharing platters very tasty

Delicious food, dogs allowed, nice decoration, at the foot of the Monument. Portions are a bit too small, however that is definitely not an issue.
2. F.
Nice and grinding stuff but no food service outside, also a bit pricey for a regular pub (large glass of wine £8!!)
W. V.
Decent food, good beer and friendly staff. Everything you need for a nice evening out.
