Reviews of The Lamb
J. P.
A truly fantastic pub and hidden in such a great area. Well worth the trip for great beer, welcoming staff & a fun & friendly environment. There’s also a fun pub quiz upstairs every week and garden!
R. C.
Nice pub serving a wide variety of larger and other drinks. Good atmosphere in the evenings ideal for a drink with friends, book ahead as can get busy especially if in a large group.
E. O.
Every single visit to the pub has been great, good vibes and extremely friendly staff. Did the pub quiz this week and it’s hilarious and a great change from your normal generic pub quiz. Service was great, big thanks to Pat and Aura for making it so great and keeping the drinks topped up!
P. C.
Busy locals boozer. Yes it is locals as this may be on Lambs Conduit Street but it's off the beaten track. Lots of staff from the hospital and never a rude customer encountered. People politely move away from the bar to let you order. It's cramped inside but goes back into a little snug to the right of the bar and down at the end it goes into another area to drink in. Cozy and friendly and they do nice snacks. Just one of several excellent pubs along this street in quite close proximity. Loads of interesting old photographs on the walls.
R. W.
Cozy 300 year old pub, with a 100 year old Polyphon music box in the corner. Delicious vegan burger as well.
G. D.
Youngs London Original...amazing!!!
Still the same as I remembered it from years ago, lovely 'oldie worldie' beautiful old pub.
And!!! Posh soap in the Gents!
H. L.
Absolutely lit pub, been more times than I can count.
Roasts? Banging
Vibe? On point
Cool old bar with lil windows? Oh yeah here for it
Pub quiz on a Tuesday? Yes #hilarious #funAF
Plus the staff are AMAZING! Can't say anything bad about it, I recommend it 100%
M. S.
Pub with charm and character and great food too. Our bar tender was friendly and was able to share the rich history of the place. Would definitely visit again.
N. G.
Proper London boozer always a good stopping point back to stations. Old wood, seating inside and out a weird but original looking bar and good selection of ales
S.
Traditional London pub. Decent pint of Youngs. Friendly service.
M. S.
Amazing historic pub. Wonderfully-preserved snobscreens at the bar. Whenever I am in London, I try to pop in for a drink 👍
L. E.
Really good pub, lovely selection of drinks and the staff are really friendly.
Clean and very welcoming. Highly recommend for tourists in the area
S. S.
Really great big fun pub/waterpark. Love the quiz. Beer tastes nice. Who knew Coolio collaborated with LV
C. M.
Great pub. One of my favourites.. They have a good selection of beers and ales.. The staff are very friendly and helpful.. Definitely worth a look if you are in the area. 👍👍
P. V.
Real typical pub.
No TV screen and no loud music.
Perfect place to have a drink with friends or family.
Good typical pub menu. Burger, Fish&chips, pie, ...
R. J.
Good pub, nice staff, Pat runs a pub quiz on a Tuesday. Worth popping in.
Needs more veggie small plates if you're eating would be my improvement
S.
Great pub, great pint. Very comfortable chairs outside.
R. B.
Took me back. Used to drink here in the 1960s. Hasn't changed a bit, thank goodness. Great traditional pub with Victorian features. Long may it continue!
M. E.
Ton of space and an amazing pub set up with meals that are 10/10 with a variety of different meals on the meun.
Also they have a big car park space to top it off
Cant go wrong visiting this pub!!!!
R. A.
Nice pub and staff are friendly, even apologising for a slight delay
G. D.
Absoloutely lovely pub, came in for Pat's pub quiz on a Tuesday and it was great. Food is also fab
J. D.
Fantastic old-style pub, with authentic original looking interior. Good selection of beers including Young's and friendly service.
A. P.
Traditional pub in london! Delicious food and a wide variety of beers. Totally felt like locals enjoying a pint of Guinness in there!
M. M.
Love the Lamb. Bar staff are great, work their backsides off and very friendly.
K. Q.
Awesome authentic English Pub, fabulous staff. Pat and Aura were outstanding, so friendly and welcoming!
E. S.
Lovely! Excellent Scotch eggs. Service was great.
R. I.
A pleasant enough pub for a quiet drink or to meet friends. It has a period Edwardian interior and a very small courtyard garden. I've alway found the staff friendly and courteous. There is an adequate selection of beer and usually a couple of Ales on draft. All this said, there is not much to make it stand out from the several others within 5 minutes walk. I've been visiting here since 2008.
J. D.
Fabulous local pub with Victorian interior.and excellent food. Staff is friendly, local bitters are fine.
R. M.
Lovely little pub. Beautiful decor inside and the staff are really helpful. The food was good too.
E. G.
Proper old style pub, very near Great Ormond Street Hospital. Its labelled as a Youngs pub, which it is, but I had a pint of naked ladies, as you would, which was delicious. Visited at 3pm on a Monday, 3 other patrons, very quiet. I drank my pint in a panelled snug out the back in the company of Prince Charles and the Queen Mother, whose pint pulling photos were on the wall. Being from north of London I have removed 1 star cos my pint cost £5!!!! Zoinks!!!! But it is a proper pub serving great beer, so enjoy, but get someone else to pay.
D. C.
A quiet and traditional pub - we enjoyed a lovely Sunday roast there. Quite understaffed at the time, hence service was not the best, but the lone bartender did the best he could. Food itself was generous and prices were reasonable. Try the mulled Cyder :)
M. M.
The Lamb is an excellent pub serving very good cask ales (I tend to go for the Cornish and the Best Bitter) by helpful staff who take a professional approach with their Covid regulations. I find it is always worth making the journey over to this pub, and remains a firm favourite to catch up with friends. It also offers some very nice vegetarian food, such as the exemplary plant burger! Many thanks
p. c.
Traditional London boozer. Centre bar and small back garden. Excellent beer (Youngs). If you are in the area and fancy a pint in an authentic London pub try this out. You won't be disappointed.
N. C.
Good old fashioned London pub with good beer, good good and a good atmosphere. Reasonable prices for Central London too.

❤️ Cracking Victorian pub five minutes walk from Russell Square. The bar is a horseshoe shape and has the original etched glass Snob Screens. These were designed to allow the customer to retain their privacy but allowed the bar staff to see the customers glass for refilling. The lighting is low lit and the atmosphere is cosy so you really get that Victorian pub feel. There’s an upstairs bar which is a bit quieter and a courtyard garden at the rear of the pub. Really nice feel about this place and would recommend a visit if your in this part of town.

Great pub and Young's trade back on. Happy days
L. D.
Wonderful staff, wonderful food! We've been up to GOSH several times with our daughter and The Lamb has been our favourite place to come to eat and drink... the Bloomsbury Burger has to be the best burger we've ever eaten. The staff are so friendly and welcoming, and have gone out of their way to get the right kind of food that our daughter can eat (because of her condition). We have tried lots of things off their excellent and varied menu, all consistently delicious. I'd give them 6 out of 5!
N. V.
The roast dinner was fabulous and worth every penny. The customer service here was amazing. Both Chris and Ora were really welcoming from the moment we walked in. They were both smiley and really kind when serving us. The best service iv had in central London! Thank you.
C. M.
Really lovely old London pub with great staff and atmosphere
S. S.
Nice London pub, Charles Dickens pub, he lived local, a bit quiet at lunch time. Lots of history photos on wall.
F. F. S.
Gorgeous London pub, interior glasswork and wood panelling is lush.
A.
So happy the lamb is open again. Had a wonderful seafood pie, loved the mixed veg on side. Butter beans, chard, shallots and peas.
The lady recommended the crab cake. Which was amazing. Runny poached egg and really strong tasting crab cake. No short measures here.
Lastly, as is a new world we are in. We loved the table service by Serena. Nothing was too much trouble, a credit to the pub
Glad to have our favourite local back again.
R. P.
Enjoyed the pub, good service, good beer.
G. E.
Good upstairs private room with its own bar.
M. H.
Enjoyed this place. Beer not quite to my taste.
K. S.
Great pints and ciders. Wonderful staff. Cool patio in back. Great place to rest you tired feet and have some lovely pints and enjoy the afternoon.
Y. P.
Great pub with a relaxing atmosphere. Have been served on several occasions by the same guy (small top knot & beard) who is so friendly and accommodating. Hope the pub survives lockdown
N. W.
One of the few pubs left where you feel like you’re stuck in the 1950s (in a good way - no rationing!). Very well kept Young’s beers.
M. D.
Great place for a quick bite or a proper meal. The menu is diverse and has a range of different burgers - make sure you check them all. Nice wine list and good ales, lagers and ciders on the tap to accompany the food.
The service is prompt and courteous, the staff is friendly and attentive. What else could one expect from a good pub? 😉
S. W.
Good fish and chips (chips were really good). Friendly staff, pre booked due to covid and requested seat with view of football which was provided. Recommended.
R. W.
A lovely pub there was some seating outside which was great on a hot summer day. Staff are very helpful and friendly too.
k. F.
Patrick has got to be the best bar man ever!
P. S. H.
Not been in for a few years. Glad to see it's not been ruined, still a lovely old pub. Hurrah!
G. T.
Fantatsic victorian style pub with good beer selection
A. S.
Cask ale. Interesting decor and history. Covid friendly.
L. L.
First time I went to the lamb i was not impressed. I think it was because it was just a hectic Friday and the service was a bit slow. But i had to come back and edit the review as i have been coming back to it (it is very conveniently located for after-work drinks) and every time i was positively surprised. I even held my work leaving drinks there. What is more it has a lovely little garden at the back which is great in the summer. And the staff are really great.
이. L.
So old
R. N.
Food was good and the barman was very friendly and welcoming. Little bit dear £45 for 2 roasts and 2 drinks with a discount but not enough to stop me returning. Definitely worth a try 👍🏻
M. F.
I've been completed by here for years. It has a very good selection of real ales and decent food. It's also haunted. Whether or not you're inclined to believe in supernatural phenomena I was at bar around five years ago when this was mentioned. I wasn't at all convinced and said so. Less than a minute later a glass fell off the shelf and smashed. Spooky?
J. G.
This place does have character. Lovely decor, although it may look a bit tired, but all the cheery people chatting over a beer are not. So, you get a perfect ambience of traditional surroundings, wide selection of drinks, and a vibrant atmosphere on one of the nicest street in the city. I love this place, not a big fan of the food, but I never enjoyed pub food anyway, so scratch that. Great fun with friends every time we come here.
D. S.
Traditional, Victorian pub in Bloomsbury. Wood panelling and other traditional decor. A “proper pub”, as I would call it.
Branded as Young’s Brewery but I had a very good pint or two of Courage Directors. Only eaten sandwiches here but they were good quality and no nonsense.
Great location (close to Russell Square Tube and GOSH) and staff were friendly.
If you enjoy traditional London pubs with a great choice of ales, give this a try.
P. C.
I've been to this pub a couple of times a year over a period of several years and it has always been consistently good. In fact, the food has become better, nicely presented, tasty and with imaginative choices. It's cozy in winter and there's a small garden at the back, which is nice in summer. There's a good selection of drinks and the staff are always friendly and efficient.
P. F.
The food was quite expensive but average for London. I had bangers and mash which was delicious but the gravy was slightly watery to what I would make for myself. Quiet atmosphere when I was there so it was nice and peaceful for a late lunch. The service was great and the food arrived quickly. I would eat here again.
B. F.
Charming traditional pub in central London. Slow but friendly service and good food. Good value. Lots of ales on tap, not just the Young's beers (being a tied pub). Love the historic interior, shame the pub sign is one of the dull Young's ones ubiquitous amongst its pubs.
S. E.
Stopped off for a quick drink at this beautiful old pub and ended up staying for dinner. We were so glad we did!! Absolutely delicious food, lovely surroundings, great service and a genuinely warm welcome. We'll definitely return :)
Z. W.
Fantastic traditional English pub with excellent food and a great selection of beers, particularly real ales. Very friendly and helpful staff and always a great atmosphere. A must for anyone visiting London.
G. C.
Historic Public House which has been a landmark since Victorian times. Though it belongs to Young's, offers a good range of beers; ales, lager, IPA but only one Stout. Excellent cosy and traditional interior downstairs
C. M.
Lovely warm interior and great staff!
E. P.
Nice old pub, good drinks list and our waiter had an excellent memory
M. H.
Lovely little traditional pub. My father took me here recently and it hasn't changed since he used to go in the 70s and 80s. Good service and friendly staff.
C. G.
Is it the perfect pub? If it isn’t it does a good impression of it. Cosy, dark panelled interior with a sense of history about it (a favourite haunt of Dylan Thomas). Good beer selection, and an unpretentious menu. Though if you want a really good meal then Ciao Bella, next door, is absolutely fantastic. Normally a queue there, so I suggest putting your name on the list and waiting happily in the Lamb.
T. M.
Great atmosphere in a very picturesque pub in central London. However, be warned, tables can come at a premium and beer is a little pricey. As to be expected for a lovely little pub in such a great location
J. S.
What a fabulous pub, with kind and attentive staff, incredible food, fresh pints, and a brilliant COVID-secure system for ensuring everyone's safety and good health. 5 stars!
We are locals, but we've been staying home during the pandemic, and The Lamb was our first real night out for dinner since lockdown. We were so impressed by the professionalism and savvy of the staff, and the care they took to ensure our comfort and safety. The Lamb has clearly put a lot of thought into setting up the pub for this brave new world we are in: social distancing inside, spacious and comfortable outdoor seating, copious hand sanitizer all around, no cash (all contactless), and careful serving that minimises contact without sacrificing hospitality.
We can't wait to come back!
A. B.
a great local feel pub in the heart of London , with a fine selection of pub grub and ales.
from the outside you can see the pub is a historical landmark with beautiful tiling on the walls, which matches the warming but shabby interior. the staff are all very friendly and happy to introduce you to the range of drinks they offer. it's a great place to have a drink and think about all the generations of drinkers that have been there before you.
H. W.
Great atmospheric pub in the heart of London, reasonable prices on the beers with a good selection and good food. The upstairs function area makes for a great bash. We had a Christmas party here and it really was a blast with the staff and bar being so accommodating it made for a great night. They were a lot of help in the orgnaising beforehand and good communication making it relatively easy to plan it for 35 people. It was only after the event did we realised how much we'd stressed the staff (we turned up later than planned, asked for our food to be delayed due to a quiz- after being late already, were pretty loud and rather drunkenly boisterous) but at the time they didn't let it ruin our fun. Can only apologise for our behaviour, but praise the pub for a great atmosphere and environment and accommodating team.
A. D.
Warm and welcoming traditional pub. There's a dining area at the back as well as a room (with bar) upstairs. The food we had was delicious, especially my mustard mash. Happily no music is played which adds to the relaxing atmosphere. Located near Great Ormond Street Hospital, the Dickens Museum, and the new Postal Museum this classy place is well worth a visit.
M. E.
We visited the Lamb Pub March, 2020, to see where our son-in-law used to work! Anna was our server and made our lunch a great experience! The pub was inviting, cozy and the food delicious!
D. T.
This is a great old pub with a good old London atmosphere - friendly and no nonsense. They seated us very quickly on a Sunday lunchtime and the portions were very generous. Staff had good banter
J. M.
Bartender was very helpful. Gave us, American travelers, a quick lesson on traditional British beers complete with a few samples. Food came quickly and was quite good. Beers were good, staff was friendly, nothing to complain about. Would recommend.
J. M.
Legendary great pub. Worth its reputation.
J. F.
Great local pub. Nice beer, good selection. Very friendly staff and a brilliant atmosphere. You will find lots of interesting people here who will always be pleased to chat. A place for travellers, locals and all who like a nice pub!
M. G.
I dont understand the strange comments. This is a very nice Young's pub with very good service. its a pub with that old British charm? Place can get crowded, and some people think its bad. Come on people grow up. Also want to say to the comment about not getting a full pint. Never seen it in London or any place in England. Been hanging out her almost 10 years. Leigh is a lovely chap. Michael
M. Z.
An old traditional pub. Different beers with a nice taste. I like this pub because it's really familiar, very nice and open minded guests. The staff is really friendly. I will visit this pub at the next London stay again.
M. W.
A beautiful pub! A must for pub enthusiasts. Whenever I visit I always seem to meet changing staff from non-UK countries. That's what London is like these days, though. Rather pricey. £4.80 for a pint of bitter, and price seems to go up all the time.
N. G.
I was here a few years ago. The pub was modest but quite nice! Spent an afternoon here drinking beer/whisky and playing board games while it was pouring down outside. Very nice staff!
t. g.
Great Historical Pub just a short walk from Euston St Pancras n Kings Cross
Z.
Good selection of craft ales, nice atmosphere and interior. Staff was kind and helpful. However the bathrooms were overly smelly and not pleasant. Brought my friend from abroad who also commented on it and it was embarassing. Ordered burgers for dinner which would be alright if not for lack of seasoning.
O. M.
Famous meeting point after work force many working at GOSH + ich. Not quite sure what it is like or details but it is from all accounts fairly standard. Opening usual hours for a pub and serving what pubs do!! I believe there is a good service here as well.
Interiors is a little classic.... and perhaps could do with a refurb but I think the locals aren't complaining.
M. L.
Very friendly staff where were kind and obliging.
R. W.
A good local traditional pub with a friendly atmosphere. An excellent selection of wine and beers. The bar snacks are very tasty.
N. Y.
We loved this traditional English style pub in Central London. Very friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The upstair area is great for a private party. We always prefer drinking with locals downstairs though ;0)
A. H.
Great atmosphere despite COVID restrictions, excellent staff, delicious food (we had burger and steak) and beers!
G. H.
3 lads walked in for beers and food and boy did The Lamb deliver, we had cod with chips and me mate had the portobello vegetarian burger. The waiter gave us 4 beer samples in prior to letting us make our desicion. Good food. Good service and good ambient
R. S.
The Lamb is just a proper pub. Dark woods cover every square foot with old pictures strewn throughout. We stopped in for a couple pints a little after lunch time on a weekday afternoon to a relatively empty room, but once we left, there were few seats open. Great friendly local feel.
A. C.
Good atmosphere and service. The sunday roast food was ok but not amazing. The yorkshire pudding was weirder than usual - I think it may have been cooked too much and that had caused it get deformed. It's described as "double egg Yorkshire pudding" on the menu, I'm not sure if it's usually only meant to be done with 1 egg, if so they may be what makes the difference.
I. D.
Popped in here soon after it opened.
Clean, tidy friendly, and the barperson drew my brother up another pint rather than the one that had been sitting in the pipes.
Good touch.
E. s.
Nice little traditional pub on a lovely street
R. S.
Still a great range of beers and excellent service. The crowd is significantly trendier than it was when I used to regularly frequent this place 25 years ago. Only complaint, they could do with a strategy to try and cover up the slight smell of the gents...
A. E.
Fantastic pub, just a short walk from Euston station, that's well worth a visit for food or drink. They serve a delicious Sunday lunch (that you can even eat during their great fun pub quiz!) and, as it's a Young's pub, they've got a good beer selection. But the most memorable thing about the pub is its 'snob guards'; swiveling frosted glass windows at head height at the bar that - back in the day - allowed the middle class Fitzrovian patrons from to choose whether or not to be seen by the plebs serving them ale. A fascinating hangover from a classier London.
S. T.
Called briefly in advance, they held a table for us on Sunday, which was nice. Had all the Sunday roasts between us: they were filling (They weren't bad, but I can't say "best roast ever etc"). Beer was good. Only had one cider on tap.
L. H.
Nice little courtyard, big TV for watching the football, friendly staff and choice of beers. Ideal !!
A. C.
Well, I say! If there's a fairer pub in this town then I've not been in it!
Complete with snob screens, friendly staff, a plush new upstairs Empire bar - you can't go wrong! Small mirror-lined back patio - but don't let on about that - it's a secret. Keeping punters 'appy since the days of Dickens!
m. R.
Delicious food. My steak pie was really home made. Really nice ambiance as well. And good selection of beers
C. H.
Last visited this pub in 1975 on my honeymoon! I don’t think it’s changed. Service a little slow to begin with but otherwise a nice meal and pleasant surroundings. (Hope to be back in another 40 years.)
B. P.
Proper pub - gets very busy as all good pubs do, wide range of ales incl Traditional English Ale (TEA) for you hogsback brewery fans. Not much food on offer except some sausage rolls
J. I.
Great little pub with an excellent atmosphere lively but friendly. Small but very nice for an afternoon beer!
M. H.
Every guidebook and friend said visit this authentic "19th century pub." Well worth it, but do arrive before 5: this place is popular and fills up (inside and out) fast. For groups, the cheese plate is insanely large (and tasty).
E. D.
Much improved service and excellent beers, as always
R. S.
One of my favorite pubs. Delicious food and very cozy vibe. Beer is very frequently warm though? Kind of a Russian roulette situation when you order lol.
I. M.
Lovely traditional English pub, classic decor but pricey. We started off with two bottles of Ramrod, then ordered two pints of Special and two packets of roasted nuts. The barman poured the beer and then produced two glass beakers full of nuts from a large glass jar on the bar. Wanted to charge me £14.00! Made him take one of the breakers back. Still came to £11.55p! No wonder there's so many people sleeping in the streets in London!
R. S.
Great service, decent seating with lovely beers and food
S. M.
Standard youngs pub but in a beautiful setting
R. W.
Good Pub, great decor and good beer but stay away from the food! We had fish and chips and a lamb burger, standard pub fare but chips tasted stale (probably old oil) and overall food was worse than average, heavy and lacking in taste.
A. S.
The Lamb is a thoroughly pleasant little pub in a lovely part of London. I think the location is the only reason this place gets four stars instead of three, just because I can't think of any outstanding features. It's just a nice pub for drinking beer and things, with a teeny beer garden in the back.
They've also managed to keep some features from back in the day - so there's an odd brass jukebox thingy and 'snob screens' over the counter.
If you like Sam Smith pubs (and who doesn't?) then you'll get along with The Lamb just fine.
J. P.
A nice little boozer. Has not been tarted up, and is all the better for it. Cosy in the winter. Fairly close to King's Cross, if you have a train to catch. Good selection of real ales and lagers. Cheers.
S. D.
This lovely pub is at its best on a busy summer's night, when people are chatting and drinking on one of the nicest streets in the city (I think). Last night it was a little quiet, which exposed the slightly tired decor. Still, a selection of drinks to please any friendship group with diverse tastes - including Young's ale. The menu is generic gastro but you can also buy classic snacks at the bar, from enormous gherkins to wasabi peas.
D. S.
Why do they ask you about food? I go to a pub for the beer and the atmosphere. This is a proper pub with good beer and has a lot of locals. They keep their beer well. The staff are friendly. I have marked the food good because I don't know. I bet it is! This is a great pub.
A. B.
Fantastic pub, great ale, perfect food. Staff were amazing. We shall be visiting again.
D. H.
Traditional pub close to Great Ormond Street hospital. This is how public houses were in late 1800s, although it has been changed a bit recently.Youngs beer (or what passes for Youngs nowadays) and a good looking food menu.
E. P.
Beautiful design, central location, mulled cider was nice and friendly staff let us in the Empire Dining Room upstairs which is extremely comfy, as the main room was completely full! Nice atmosphere.
D. K.
We came here for the pub quiz, which was one of the more relaxed (and fun) that we have attended. The food was on the positive side of average, and the bar staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was chilled and welcoming.
O. R.
Staff friendly, owner/manager not so much. He was stumbling drunk and verbally abusing his employee, he even lightly slapped they guy once, it was sickening, we left pints unfinished! :(
Owner replied that the individual who was abusing the employee was NOT one of theirs, so I hope they fix the situation, I will definitely swing by next time I'm in London! Cheers
J. L.
Small out-of-the-way pub with friendly staff and a traditional feel. We ordered a plate of paté that wasn't exceptional but did the job. Good beer on tap.
S. M. B.
Great place. Lot of choice of wines and beers. A little bit pricey: £5.70 a pint od estrella, £8.70 the small glass of rose.
J. S.
Lovely proper pub with proper pub atmosphere.
L. G.
Great central London pub in the traditional style. Busy, but in a good way - and packed by city types and a good hearty feel. Great beer, and great chat
D. W.
Friendly bartenders and a rotating menu of traditional British grub. Has diverse lager as well as offerings. Also has a great selection of board games.
T.
Lovely interior, friendly staff
Our son had a kids fish&chips which was a bit pricey at £10 , we both had a roast beef which was delicious a bit more than 1 slice of meat wouldn’t have gone a miss for £18 (you can cut done on the portion of veggies) All in all a nice experience
S. S.
Small cute little pub well not as we didn't get pass the bar it was so busy the day we went service was good n fairly quick for how busy it was but they ran out of tonic so no gin n tonic for me ☹
S. S.
Very good roasts. Chicken and beef were well dressed. Service was friendly and helpful for suggestions, but virtually non-existent thereafter when the meal was served.
c. d.
A gem of a Youngs pub but let down by too few bar staff. I wouldn't mention it if it just happened once or twice, but has been the case for the 25 years I've been coming here. But a great atmosphere when not fighting to get served.
O. B.
Silent pubs are good, silent pubs with character are great, and those of them that can boast famous clientelly like Plath and Hughes, well ... It's off the beaten path to be sure, but if you're around I'd warmly recommend.
R. B.
Nice pub. Fullers. Good ciders and ales. Nice food. Good service. Little courtyard out the back. Good place attracting a very mixed range of people.
D. P.
Good traditional pub, clean, Covid friendly.
J. B.
To drink cold beers after work is like a sweet escape from the routine. I have many problems with my colleagues these days and it is hard to cope with every situation. It is almost impossible to get on well with everyone, of course. But sometimes I'm annoyed of the existing problems and worries.
Anyway, the Lamb is a welcoming pub, where you can have a drink or two (or three). I've checked the website, but unfortunately it is not working properly.
The price list is normal, but be prepared to spend more money on refreshing drinks. It is just normal when you go there to stay several hours with your friends.
L. T.
Great traditional pub and friendly staff especially Alex - had a very nice meal in the snug. Will definitely be back again next time we're in London.
M. E.

Very nice traditional pub but I'm really surprised that the staff allow a little baby sit on the bar playing with the beer pumps! But they do and encourage it! Is this a pub or a nursery??
d. m.
Was just passing and thought I’d drop in for a pint, absolutely fabulous old English type pub with lots of ales on offer, served by a very knowledgeable Irish bartender called Patrick who made me feel so very welcome, didn’t have any food on this occasion but rest assured I will certainly be back again because of the laughs and excellent service that was given
m. D.
