Reviews of The Ledger Building
G. A. L.
The usual wetherspoons restaurant, great food at decent prices. We were surprised with the size of this place, a lot of tables to choose from and with plenty of space between them, we were carrying luggage and there was plenty of space to put them next to us comfortably. Service is good, the ordering process smooth (by scanning the QR code to place the order online), and overall the experience is nice.

I loved this weatherspoon as it got my most favourite dish thats taken off from most of the shops and it is the Spicy coated king prawn 🦐 👌The fish and chips were up to the mark. New chicken dish is a little dry but soft. The Chicken Jhalfrazi meal is good too. Tried a different non alcoholic drink than my usual Pepsi and I absolutely loved it. However, they need to put sign that toilet downstairs, as a lot of people get confused. Lots of room around the pub, perfect for groups. The interior is antique yet classic. The stuffs were helpful and welcoming. Loved it, enjoy 😊

Great place for lunchtime. Prices are very reasonable it's about £6.00 for a small cod and chips and a soft drink. Staff need to clean up the tables quicker. I've been there a few times and have found tables still left with napkins and food on them. In the current situation we are in they really do need to make sure the tables are cleared and wiped down before the next set of customers arrive. Great for lunch but not somewhere I would go to for an evening out.

It's what it's. Nothing to brag about the food. Pretty much a notch over any fast food place. But you can have a draft beer with confidence. Nice place to have a big table with family. Children are going to be entertained with some coloring books, (whatever.) Don't worry, they will be a hallway away from you. Beautiful place in a lovely location. Nice clean bathroom, that's a plus for me since I like a pint of quality draft. So much history in this area. Love Canary Wharf. If you're visiting London, you need to stop here. Cheers!!
A. M.
Finally able to go to pubs and biggest chain pubs in the uk the wetherspoon!!! If you are in the uk, you cant never miss this!! Anyway, the ledger building is a nice pub to study and have a really nice toilet and good wifi. It was very chilling and food is basic british food and cheap. Free refill coffee!! Cheers! Always recommended for me!

Met some old friends on the way home ended up at weatherspoons, on Tuesday night became a right messy one Blue Lagoons killer. Ended up being the best night, didn't stop laughing and drinking and the bouncers were lovely. What a great night x x
E. W.
This was my first visit and I enjoyed coming here. The food was great and I liked ordering by using the app on my device and paying for it it was very busy and I very helpful security staff member assisted myself and advised me to wait a little untill one table was free to use which was only approximately 10 minutes which the I was notified and taken to I was very grateful for this the premises looked and felt clean Toilet facilities was near by too. Overall I was impressed with all travelling there and back is very convenient as well whether it's bus, tube, I used the bus and tube going and leaving I used the driver train because its adjacent to this place. I will definitely come back yes if you can afford a little night evening or day out for a few hours then this place is for you.!!👍🏿
S. R.
Great place to socialize, you can order by downloading app. Great food too, cheers
K. M.
Probably the cheapest pub in the Canary wharf area. Typical Spoons in a beautiful building. Food were typical Spoons standard and price, don't expect too much from it
but would fill you up for sure. Lots of tables indoor and outdoor.
M. A.
This turned out to be a great Wetherspoon pub. Friendly staff, well kept ale and with some excellent local brewed beers as well. Spotless pub and toilets in a very old and interesting building. Recommended.
M. K.
If you can get a table outside when it's sunny it's lovely.
M. T. (.
Great staff, layout is really nice, cheap for good quality drinks
A. F. S.
I just had lunch in the outdoor area. Tables are well distanced and the staff follows the sanitary protocol accordingly. It's really easy to order via mobile phone. As usual, well sized portions and good service.
F. P.
Nothing extraordinary, but nice pub to spend a few hours in with friends. Staff are nice as well. Some curtains on the windows would not go amiss for sunny days though
N.
Beautiful building , tasty food, big variety of drinks, cheap prices for Canary Wharf! Love this place.
J. R.
I visited two days before lockdown two, when most City workers had either gone back to working from home or not worked in the office since March. Therefore the place was almost dead at lunchtime when it would've been heaving, at least inside anyway. Nothing wrong with my half-pint though.
J. S.
Busy pub, ended up sitting outside (Not ideal in November but you can't blame a place for being popular, that's a good sign). Quick service, friendly staff, unfortunately my pint of hobgoblin was both quite expensive (but I guess still cheap for London) and a little past it's prime. Pizza was very nice. Probably will visit again next time I'm in Canary Wharf
D. T.
Very good value full English breakfast (around 5 pounds for each set, depending on the size you are ordering). They also do a 99p package of free refill for all coffees, tea and hot chocolate. Now available for outdoor seating. You cannot book in advance, but it is quite free for breakfast hours.
M. W.
Wouldnt say im a regular but have been coming here for meets with friends, pre/post dinner drinks, leaving drinks with colleagues and even the odd family meet up for over 20 years! What can I say its a nice Witherspoons made even more comfortable due to being a order via the app. Nice outdoor space for warmer nights and right on the doorstep of Canary Wharf with a plethora of restaurant and bars. Easy to get to as there's a DLR station 5 mins walk or the Jubilee line about a 10 min walk across the waterbridge into Canary Wharf. Cineworld cinema right behind with multistorey car park for those that are driving.
K. O.
Wetherspoons does it so well, making a redundant building work for the 21st century. My photo is of the wash basins in the ladies toilets
G. B.
Always a pleasant reception from the staff. Well used and roomy. Plenty of outside seating but not in winter I guess!! Meals here are obviously the Wetherspoons fare but cooked well. Good attention to your requirements.
S. B.
As Wetherspoons go, it's a nice place in a nice old building. But it's still just a Wetherspoons, so expect just that. Cheap booze, average food (don't expect a continental breakfast - you're having a laugh), and indifferent staff. This place can also get a bit drafty, so wear a scarf.
A. “. n. F.
Indifferent to wetherspoons, the last visit food was hot and cold. Cold chips warm steak, everything else 'warm' skipped food this time had red wine, temperature ok fresh, toilets clean... Go here for a 'drink' though Canary Wharf is dotted with many more favourable places... I guess call it 'last resort' or 'passing by' ... I recommend Pizza Pilgrims for a quick pizza & beer at a price a little more than JDW as an example. Anyway, cheers!
P. S.
Friendly staff and good value food. Plenty of space inside a former historic Docklands building. Lovely sunny terrace boardered with flowers. Great location!
M. M.
One of the best 'spoons ever. Just a short hop away from the luxury of the other pubs in West India Key is an interpretation of this national chain.
It's definitely a step up from the usual Wetherspoon's, with a well designed interior, and boasts a huge space inside, so you'll always get a seat.
A definite must if you're looking to go a bit more budget in Canary Wharf.
D. B.
Best weatherspoons I've ever been in. Very wide selection of beers. Where else within blackberry throwing distance of Canary wharf can you get a beer for £3.50?
N. P.
Came here for breakfast. Nice atmosphere and easy to order food.
Sadly our vegan breakfast was rather small and the extra side of beans was like a tablespoon worth of beans. All food was barely luke warm and the vegan sausage was dry.
At the end of the day, you get what you pay for.
D. R.
Decent enough Weatherspoons but there is room for improvement. Usual work-around exist, order from the daily specials, not from the standard menu (my gammon was great, my girlfriend’s chicken burger wasn’t - see pics), also the gas needed changing so the Kronenburg and Shipyard’s were flat, I’d recommend bottled craft or larger or choose an ale. Still, very spacious, super quick service (ordered via the wonderful Weatherspoons app) and ultimately they are the best prices by a mile. A cheap and cheerful evening meal before heading to the local Cinema. Good access mobility and Radar toilets available on the ground floor.
P. H.
Most expensive spoons.
Waited 20 minutes before food came and another 10 for drinks. In what world does it take longer to fry a steak than make a beer. Won’t be coming again
L.
Lots of room, good varied menu and really quick service. Food started arriving before everyone had finished ordering. Standard Wetherspoons where you have to order via the bar. Food was perfectly cooked and generously portioned. Only gripe is that there is a weird vibration under the room left of entrance. It's enough to wobble the drinks slightly and after a while becomes unnerving. Another reason why seating choice is important!
I. L. (. G.
It was ok I didn't realise it when I came in the had to take a stable straight away to order however I was slightly annoyed that when I I was queuing up at the waiting while somebody else was getting served, because after that somebody else who queued up behind me got served. Which left me a bit confusing and slightly frustrated the server did take me that she was going to say this but i think but she never explained why. Another person that came through very quickly after that and then I decided to ask for a toasted sub with a glass of Crabbies. And that's where I was told to do I have a table number...... The app for didn't take you long to handle once I registered which didn't take long thanks god. Had my food and have my drink simple.
H. T.
Superb experience. Definitely my go-to pub given the ambience, space, staff and decoration. What better at an unbeatable price.
J. W.
Cheap for the area and in an historic docks building. Real ales and craft beer available, food typical Wetherspoons menu, quite a sizeable pub.
D. S.
This is like no other Wetherspoon's I've been to. The flowers and outdoor space is great for a summers evening.
A. U.
I always liked Wetherspoon, their prices are very reasonable. The place is very spacious and they have a good selection of drinks and food
W. B.
As a weatherspoons outlet, this is a great venue and as always delivers great drinks at a great value. I've been here before and I will keep returning.
L. M.
A quiet little place with a good range of drinks and tasty menu. I recommend the espresso martini an fish finger sandwich. However they didn't seem to cope well when we came as a group and there was often no one serving at the bar because of the back and forth orders from the kitchen. I'd definitely go here again but would be tempted to buy my drinks in bulk
P. A.
We went to the Ledger Building for lunch as we were running late after a meeting. We were a little disappointed that they no longer served Sunday lunch, but were please with the extensive menu of other choices.
We used the App to order and this worked fine except the method of discounting for meal deals was confusing.
The drinks and meals arrived in good time, the food was hot, tasty and well prsented. However the drinks didn't match the order. I queried the order with George, the Barman and he sorted the issue immediately, without question. George turned a 4 star review into a 5 star. So thank you George for your great customer service.
S. D.
As always, it’s was a great experience coming to this pub. Love it every time we visit and the food is always good.
n. c.
Beautiful location. Very relaxing atmosphere and great food. Pizzas on the menu were added bonus. One of the top whetherspoons pubs in have visited
Revisited and it was lively on a Monday evening. Everything iwas superb. Earlier It was Friday Fish and Chips included drink but now all days of the week. So I enjoyed Fish and Chips with a drink on Monday
V. B.
Another gem of JD Wetherspoon at West India Quay- Canary Wharf. An amazing colonial bungalow transformed into pub & dining place. Hi she court yard, three huge rooms and huge hall with as usual various beers, crafts , liquor’s. The place is just stunning, staff are too friendly and if you searching for outdoor sitting that’s available too. At silent dock side pretty filled up during weekends. Worth a visit..
P. S.
This is by far my favourite Wetherspoons! It is in a great location, beautiful building and atmosphere is good. It had seating both inside and out. Staff are very friendly, quick service. Obviously as this is a Spoons, the food is good value and great if this is the type of menu you are after. Drink prices are excellent especially in its location. 100% recommend you visit this pub!
N. N.
Very nice food and very pleasant staff. They were sooo helpful and i did arrive with a group of 40 people. We were surved fast and everyone had a good time. I do thank the staff for the wonderful time we had.
The place is really clean, toilets too. And the menu is varied.
P. S.
The women's toilets have to be seem to be believed. I believe the men's are pretty good too. A spacious gracious looking Wetherspoon's. Gets very busy but plenty of room outdoors and inside, well used for office celebrations.
P. J.
First time I've been here in a while, plenty of room inside and outside.
H. K.
Great place for lunch - the sirloin steak is absolutely yummy with cider (dark fruits)
A. P.
Great Ambience. Amazing food. Ideal place to spend a good time with Friends.
L. K.
Great location for a spoons. Relaxed atmosphere. Great food and pitchers! 👌
A. F.
It's a big Wetherspoons. Food is cheap, of a decent but not amazing standard and the drinks are cheap. Not a classy place, but not a dive either.
Z.
Lovely building. Now a cheap and cheerful booze hall. When was the last nice you had a pint in London for <£3!!
S. L.
Cheap drinks with a nice view
J. B. (.
Good Wetherspoons , spacious interior with massive bar area and multiple rooms including a outdoor seating area outside the entrance. The building Itself has a lot of history; would come again..
K. H.
The staff are friendly and polite. They provide great service. The location is lovely too
J. C.
Great value, the reasonably priced daily themed specials include a drink ( pint, bottled beer, wine, soft drink or coffee). The food is well cooked and presented, All in a clean and atmospheric decor in a historic building. The ship theme in the restrooms is an interesting innovation.
E. D.
The staff here are very nice. I screwed up my order (sent it to the wrong table via the app) and they were understanding and very quick to fix it.
D. O.
Great location with the usual well-priced food and drink. Interesting building.
Happy to return whenever in the area.
B. G.
First time here
Was very bizzy obs due to the gorgeous weather
Staff very helpful
Food very good
Loved the deco and architecture of the building
Defo recommend and defo worth another visit
Good Wetherspoon value for money
C. M.
Top class Wetherspoon pub. Delicious food plenty of seating areas. Nice outdoor seating. Helpful, efficient staff.
L. D.
Clean, tidy, good food and staff. Disabled friendly, the staff will bring out ramps so you can go in easy. You tell them your leaving and they put the ramps really quickly. There is wide doors and a disabled toilet on the ground floor too. I thank the staff there as they are always helpfull.
M. L.
Good value for Canary Wharf but premises looking a bit tired
J. O.
Site of many a Canary Wharf after work drinks. And many more, I am sure.
This visit did not disappoint. :-)
S. M.
It's worth the five stars for the ladies toilets alone! 😁
And the all day veggie breakfast...
K. R.
Great place for a meal and a drink, the staff are very helpful as I have a wheelchair and they put down a ramp within a minute so I was able to get inside
R. C.
A nice location with Weatherspoons food and pricing, outdoor seating and large interior. A two minute walk from West India Quay DLR station in the north of the Canary Wharf Estate. Relatively clean and friendly.
R. S.
Nice whetherspoons pub. Decent sized outdoor area. Order food and drinks via the jd whetherspoons app so no issues with covid etc. Nearest DLR station is Westferry which is a 2 mins walk around the corner.
s. d.
Good pub with a cracking breakfast and as many hot drinks as you like
P. G.
Nice wetherspoons fast service
N. A.
Now in the Westminster Cathedral there is a special place to light a candle and pray for the tragedy of the Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris fire. You cal also see a nice mosaic of Joanne d'Arc above. All are invited to pray. Every Holy Mass is specially dedicated to visitors, who come there first time!
T. F.
The pub itself was beautiful with a bit of history, the drinks was very cheap so was the food although it came over cooked an dry, well staffed but not a lot of management going on.nice seating outside with table service,
D. H.
Fine Weatherspoons in a renovated dockyard office building the centre of Docklands. Wide range of quality beer and reasonably priced pub grub. Very smart decor
S. S.
Great place for drinks and food at great affordable.prices and plenty of outdoor seating. First come first serve. We managed to get a table even though all the other bars in canary wharf were fully booked ahead of time.
C. B.
Went on a busy Friday night but the staff was attentive. Good experience although I think a lot of places with wooden outside tables let themselves down by not making sure they are cleaned regularly ie for the next customer. Apart from that nothing negative. One of the better wetherspoon by a long way
J. T.
This is I think the cheapest pub around canary wharf. Bar good food good and was with a disabled person and security were helpful polite and understanding
S. D.
Always nice in Spoon's
D. C.
Fist time I've attended the location, very good food and atmosphere.
B. O.
It's a pleasant place to visit. With a good selection of Beers. And across the bridge from the Merchant.short distance. Kill two birds with one stone. Both worth a visit.😁😁🍺🍺😋
A. B.
This is my local Weatherspoons and it's great here. Good Food and Drink for Good Prices, it's my go to when out with Friends
J. B. J.
Great for cheap beer and always deliver a good pint.
V. A.
Best Weatherspoons we've visited.
S. P.
Cracking service - good food - its weatherspoons you know what your getting- nice building/ location as well - makes a good start to a walk along the river!
O. S.
One of the more expensive Wetherspoons... Which means it's still one one of (if not the) cheapest pubs in London.
Great selections of drinks. Actually good food. We had pizza, chicken wings, southern fried chicken, nachos, halloumi fries and macaroni bites and they were all great!
It's also one of the nicest Spoons I've been in. Genuinely good, not just god for a spoons. Definitely would return.
n. A.
Service was a little slow and decor a bit tired but clean and can't complain at the quality of food they deliver at a very modest price point. Ordering on the app is really convenient and easy and location is great
J. F.
Typical witherspoons, but clean and good service.food very palatable.
C. D.
I love this bar. It's kinda cool for a spoons, food is good and drinks are always well priced, esp considering its location.
E. b.
Nice place to go in a group. It's very casual, like the typical English pub. I loved that if you download the Waterspoons app you can order from the table! Great touch and makes everything easier. Also, they have x3 small plates for £12. Makes it easy if you want to get together after work and just want to seat and relax without spending too much money.
J. M.
Would like to give a big thanks to Darren for finding my glasses and not the type you drink out of🤣 what an absolute star 😊
M.
Food was good, for the price.
D. I.
Nice place for a dinner and a drink at reasonable prices
A.
Can never go wrong with a good lunch at the Ledger building. Great value food. Even better value cocktails. Super family friendly too
A. T.
Main room and 3 off rooms, which are fairly spacious. Food and drink available at all times. Free iced water and I think, coffee if you ordered food.
D. S.
Best spoons, gives you tea rooms vibes but with booze so even better.
J. L.
A Wetherspoons pub. Impressive outside. Average food. Competitively priced.
J. H.
Good atmosphere, plenty of seating.
D. L.
Great service, very spacious place, had ceaser salad that was delicious.
D. S.
Is what it is !
It's a spoonies so you know you are going to get good value! Food is good quality and cheap and a surprising number if customisation options for it. Great selection of drinks and good prices.
G. S.
Lovely building very busy needed more bar staff
S. D.
I understand drinks come to the tables at weatherspoons but I waited almost 30mins for a pint, so best to order in bulk if you don't want to wait.
G.
Good pub, Friendly staff great choice of beer.
J. B.
Excellent location! Reasonably priced drinks for the area it's in. We went with big group and had place to sit and have dinner too. Food came quick, was alright and did what it said on the tin. Curry night on Thursday and the plates looked great. Staff is fast and accurate and ordering in the App is easy.
L.
Lovely night, with good food and wine
J.
Large group for work were meeting there for a drink. Quick and accurate service. We could even get a table with enough space to sit us all for an unplanned dinner. Nice food for price you pay. Again, quick and accurate service. The App works well too. Gluten free options available on request with modification.
M. R.
Excellent hostallary, did everything expected of this superb venue.
M. P.
Massive Wetherspoons on the doorstep of Canary Wharf. Inside has several smaller rooms as well as a large room with distinct areas. Long bar so service is good but when busy it can take ages just seeing what beers they have on. Usual food, decent outside area and of course service via the app means you don't have to go to the bar. Toilets are a trek down impressive staircase. Shame they don't have an app for that.
W. S.
Classic spoons. Not much else to say. Best place in the area in terms of price
P. C.
Cheapest place for a drink in Docklands. Gets very busy with after work drinkers but thins out around 8pm.
L. H.
Large, well-appointed Wetherspoons pub in converted dock office. Excellent range of beers, spirits and other drinks. Good popular food menu. Decent service in spite of it being busy on the evening I went. Families welcome too. Could've done without the political slogans on the menus.
N. N. O.
Decent drinking establishment in the Canary Wharf area of London. Nearest tube station is Canary Wharf. It took me ages to find this Pub as the area is a maze of roads, paths, water and maps that confused me. By the time I found this Pub I really was in need of a good alcoholic drink. Lucky it is a Wetherspoons Pub which means it had a very good selection of booze with realistic prices too especially when you are in this area of the City. The Pub building also has a decent history to which it makes it even more pleasant to drink there..if you can find it.
a. w.
On my vist .it was very busy but the staff very helpful & polite .the range of food & drink it's a typical weatherspoon great value for money.
a. y.
Great customer service. Very fast after ordering and staff always asking if we were okay and if the food was okay.
I. S.
Spacious and airy inside, with a large beer garden outside. They have screens inside showing sports. Decent selection of drinks at reasonable cost, as expected from any other Wetherspoons. I was however disappointed with their vegetarian burger, chips and onion rings, as everything was quite greasy & oily. Toilets were down the stairs, so not very friendly for those with accessibility needs. The staff were helpful and efficient. Overall this is a good pub with buzzing atmosphere.
T. F. (.
Very nice weather spoons along the river. Prices are the standard London weather spoons prices. Had breakfast with refillable coffee. Fast service and great food. Nice layout also and friendly staff
D. K.
It's a wetherspoons near Canary Wharf! I.e. a lot more expensive than every other one over every been on, but still cheaper than everything else near by.
What I will commend is service - even when packed they've always been friendly to me. However, the 5* based off my most recent visit - at the bar exemplary. At the table brilliant. On the app my beer was at the table less than 2 minutes after hitting confirm. Thought it was a fluke as ordered about 4:30 and slightly quiet. Still here at 6:07 so tried again. 6:08 I have my beer!
V. N.
Massive space with loads of different areas, plenty of seating - huge bar. Always get served quickly and as it's a Weatherspoons, the prices are really good especially for Canary Wharf. Food is not the best but drinks are very affordable.
F. M.
A relatively cheap spoons on Canary Wharf - Westferry. Nice beers, kind waiters, outdoor areas and nice location
J. H.
Was outdoors for most of the time but the staff are lovely and the food was great
A. A.
Good food good place
H. Z.
Warm friendly place with lots of locals. Price is great, and service very quick and efficient. Lots of seats in separate dining areas or in the bar area. Drink is very reasonably priced for Canary Wharf, and food portion is great too. Suitable for family as there is plenty of space for the little ones.
M. C.
Spacious and airy building good to meet for drinks, can't usually go wrong with a Spoons.
T. S.
Another review, another wetherspoons, this one is situated in Canary Wharf, in an old bank. We went on a bank holiday, so it wasn't as busy as it probably is when the nearby banks are open. However, there was a fair few West ham supporters there drinking before the match, however it was generally quiet. There was a 20 minute wait on food, but that turnt out to be around 10 minutes. Food was good, well cooked, no mishaps nor anything untoward. Dessert was also good and filling. The decor was too lavish, however the toilets were very nice and definitely worth the trip downstairs. Overall, a good spoons, quiet in London considering the tourist levels. Cheers! To follow our progress, please follow, @spoonsscore on Instagram!
A. S.
Unusual Wetherspoons, old docklands building surrounded by modern skyscrapers. Fairly quiet, but good atmosphere. Good friendly service, usual good prices. Relaxing and pleasant place to be. Enjoyed it.
R. M.
Beautiful Wetherspoon's pub on a lovely cobbled street - right on the docklands. Fancy spoons dining! (At the those cheap prices of course ;))
S. H.
Great pub in a handy Canary Wharf location when you want somewhere without the fuss. Usually full of business people who are staying away or groups of workers before heading home but there's a great atmosphere and can eat and drink outside. Standard 'Spoons food served quickly and friendly staff. Definitely go there again.
K. K.
Very spacious pub in the Canary Wharf area. It's a Weatherspoons so you know the successful formula including cheap prices with a wide variety of drinks and food. Inside, the pub has multiple areas adjoining the main large bar room, with an outdoor area too which is perfect when the sun is out. Staff were friendly when I visited so worth checking out if you are in the area.
J. B.
With west-facing views of the capital and sumptuous interiors, it is one of the hottest tables in town with London's most discerning diners.
The menu is best described as British contemporary with a delicious selection of excellent dishes, beautifully presented.
Guests are invited to dine at the bar and enjoy the full a la carte menu. Bookings for tables at the bar can also be made through reservations system.
We have partaked in a lot of character breakfasts over the years and Tusker House is the best. On this trip we were traveling with adults, and we all agreed that the food was superior to previous experiences and the attention from the staff was top notch. The buffet offers your standard brunch food and traditional dishes from Africa. It was fun to see unexpected dishes and to have the opportunity to try something new. We also loved that the characters were dressed in safari gear. It is also nice to walk through Animal Kingdom before the park opens to get to breakfast. This is a beautiful park with so many thoughtful details that get lost when it is crowded. We loved having this opportunity to walk to the restaurant and take in all the ambiance.

Really nice spoons, it's a step up from the most. The prices are a little more than other spoons bars but still much cheaper than anywhere else in canary. Never had a bad experience here. All the bartenders are kind and serve with a smile. Great cheap (ish) night out.
J. D. (.
Food is good, and the price is cool too. 4 adults, 6 drinks and 4 mains £36 ( not bad in my humble opinion) and next to the river to boot 😉 😀
E. C.
Excellent food and drink , excellent service,
T. A.
Best Weatherspoons I have visited
A. H.
It's better than the average Spoons, in that most of the day there's plenty of space (avoid 6-8pm!). The meals are good, and so is the beer selection.
The downside is that it's either badly managed or understaffed (or both). Today, not for the first time, several of us were waiting to be served and not a single member of staff was visible.
I suspect Spoons is going the corporate route; squeezing the staff until the pips squeek, then wondering why they go bust.
F. S.
I love this place, the food is amazing and is a nice area of canary wharf. The price is on the average of canary wharf so not very cheap, two separate areas outside..if you are a smoker or if you are not.
Perfect to have happy hour and then go have dinner in one of the many restaurant close.
S. F.
This is my favourite Wetherspoons! There is always plenty of room to sit in comfort. The food is always perfectly cooked, and they do some really good real ales, gins and ciders. Right near Canary Wharf shops too if you like shopping. Would recommend!
M. B.
Went here a couple of weeks ago hadn't been here since 2019 due to lockdown & did not have a great experience...food was awful. Wouldn't recommend like I used to very disappointed 😔
J. “. E. T.
Staff are friendly, location is amazing. Had a good few drinks here over the years and a few meals too and Ive never come away disappointed, but again I find myself hoping the staff are actually appreciated by JD Weatherspoons. I would like to see a pub or bar with a queue system that makes sense though...None of the ones i have visited seem to have cracked that one yet...
K. B.
Great pub 👍. Great service,
Excellent staff 👏
R. I.
Spoons, can’t go wrong. Unless you’re that bloke who spilt a full tray of drinks… he looked like he had a horrid evening but it cheered me right up
G. W.
The best priced beer in Canary Wharf!
M. L. F.
Part of the Wetherspoons chain this place is really great value for money but not only that it's a beautiful place to relax after a meal. The roofs are high and the decor is bright and welcoming making the place feel really spacious and welcoming. We spent quite a few hours here and never once felt like we were in the way or taking up space.
Oh and the bathrooms are HUGE you could have a party in there!
A. L.
Very lovely pub,
Staff friendly and speedy, meal good and inexpensive, a large offer of a beer, cozy rooms, toilets are greatest I've seen. The garlic bread I'd recommend. But a cocktail I will not choose more because in my "Blue Laguna" was forgotten to added alcohol.
A. B.
What a cracking place this is!!
It's a Wetherspoons pub and absolutely massive inside!!!
As with all Wetherspoon pubs the prices are amazing....and love the fact you can order food and drinks from your table, using their app.
The food and drink we ordered came in rapid time too. I ordered a large pizza that included an alcoholic drink as a deal. It basically knocked over £3 off the drink!!! The pizza was very appetizing and filling too.
It was extremely busy, but the staff worked extremely hard, were friendly and kept on tol of orders.
Just next to Canary Wharf too and perfect if you're heading to the O2.
D. M.
Out for a night with friends, good atmosphere,
S. B.
This is a wetherspoons pub restaurant in west India dock, I had a great meal with a beer included.
K. A.
We found the staff service mined and very friendly. Tables seems clean and there is a positive vibe in the bar.
Toilets are surprisingly clean considering the size of the venue and the amount of people here.
As for beer, you have plenty of brands to choose from (mostly big industrial breweries).
We're going back for food next time!
S. J.
Although Wetherspoons has hiked up its prices substantially, the Friday Fish deal still represents good value for money when you include the price of a drink. The cod was fresh and the batter was light and crispy. Lunchtime service is brisk, and one member of staff made sure our order was being taken care of by attending around the tables. A good overall experience!
E. E.
We had a company event at the Ledger Building. It is at one end of West India Quay and a spacious and nice place. Staff are attentive. There was finger food at the event which was really tasty and in good variety. I think it is a nice place grab a pint after work in Canary Wharf.
G. F.
As a Wetherspoons fan this is their best pub in the country. Compared to other options in the area this high quality establishment offers exceptionally priced food and drinks, open dining areas and a beer garden with smoking and non-smoking zones. The pub is within easy reach of Canary Wharf's office and retail spaces. A good spot for just a beer or some traditional English fayre. Steak night on Tuesdays is always a winner.
n. c.
A staple Wetherspoons outlet as in good range of drinks and reasonably priced food too, clean and tidy, recently refurbished, except the toilets which are showing their age. Could have a bit more in the way of 'clutter' for visual appeal it's very open and large. otherwise good.
E. K.
Somewhat tucked away, it's quite easy to miss next to the flashier options nearby that are markedly poorer value. Food and drink are well and promptly prepared with plenty of great value options to be had. I've always enjoyed a good 'Spoons; they are well managed, straightforward and good value for money. But with the introduction of their app, which lets you grab your table and then order with the app, the whole experience is almost effortless. So download the app, it's not a gimmick at all.
I. T.
We eat here quite often, the food is what you'd expect from a Wetherspoons. The place is in good order, nice building, toilets a kind of cool. Overall the place is clean, light and reasonably priced.
M. P.
Pleasant and spacious, this is a good place to meet with friends or family. There's a good selection on the menu (albeit with canary wharf mark-up) and a good selection of drinks. It could do with better disabled access at the entrance though and the baby changing bed is too high for most mums to comfortably change their baby!
M. V.
Cheap food and drinks and lovely terrace!
S. J.
The service was amazing
I loved the menu they offer
One of the best cheap places to go ….
S. D.
Class place next to Canary Wharf Dockside. Spacious and hard to get a table most nights. If you start here on a night out in Canary Wharf I doubt you’ll make it to the last bar on the Docks before your either smashed or they close. Very good service and food.
Note that this area is a big financial district so a lot of suits around.
Will definitely return when next in the area.
P. R.
Nice place, good variety of beers, standard fish and chips, could been better with music instead of bbc news
D. N.
Wonderful pub in West India quay. It is part of the weatherspoons chain, but this is a particularly nice one with very good prices, especially given the location. Staff have always been nice each time I have visited and have never had any issues with the crowd.
A. K.
It's a Spoons - so no surprises re food offerings or drinks, but the old building has an interesting history, hasn't been horribly treated, and on the weekend is a handy spot to grab a quick and inexpensive meal and drink before the cinema. Service is usually fast, and there's a number of dining rooms with plenty of tables away from the general noise of the bar area. But avoid on weekday evenings, especially Fridays, unless you really like a crush.
D. S.
It's a whetherspoons pub, so the menu is the same as you get anywhere else. What was a pleasant surprise though, is that the prices were the same as well, despite being in the heart of Docklands. Very impressive building, comfortable seating, good service. Don't avoid this place just because it's a chain pub, if you're just looking for a filling meal of reasonable quality. If you're looking for a gastropub, look elsewhere.
N. B.
Lovely building, friendly staff highly recommend
M. L. D.
The food was OK very noisy but loved the noisy feeling, quick service and friendly too
N. F.
Very historic pub being built in a former Docklands factory, great atmosphere. Reasonable prices and lots of beers to choose from
M. C.
Spacious and airy building good to meet for drinks, can't usually go wrong with a Spoons.
G. P.
Lovely friendly staff, lovely food and we didn't wait long for our food.
A. S.
Cool old building with history. Very good prices for the area. Loads of tables.
P. S.
Lovely building. But. The food was below average.
V.
Great to sit outside on a summers night. Also very big inside.
O. S.
One of the more expensive Wetherspoons... Which means it's still one one of (if not the) cheapest pubs in London.
Great selections of drinks. Actually good food. We had pizza, chicken wings, …
J. D. (.
Food is good, and the price is cool too. 4 adults, 6 drinks and 4 mains £36 ( not bad in my humble opinion) and next to the river to boot 😉 😀
A. Q.
As usual when you talk about Wetherspoon it's a very good option to grab some food when visiting Canary Wharf with the family. Not bad at all for adults only, of course. Good value for money and offers.
J. M.
Excellent beer, great prices, got a comfortable seat as well - no rubbish music being played at us - what's not to like? Okay - come at the wrong time and you'll wait 10 minutes to get served
J. G.
It's a wetherspoons, cheap pints and great atmosphere whats not to love
t. c.
Big pub. Great location with outdoor space and unparalleled views of canary wharf area. Good array of alcoholic beverages. Pizza was tasty and other foods looked good. Large private rooms for parties.
B. C.
Unusual selection of lagers, but I guess it's what through the Brexit border's. No British lager's seems odd. But the strongbow cider is made in the UK,,,I think
L. O.
Not a bad pub in an out of the way area. Plenty of room and drinks reasonably priced. Food looked good but as I was eating elsewhere didn't have a chance to sample it.
N. F.
Nice place good atmosphere speedy service good location.
J.
Great pub. It's a Wetherspoons so you know what to expect from the food quality but it was super fast: 7 minutes from ordering to eating my chicken burger! Don't forget to get their app, then you don't even need to go to the bar to order!
Y.
Security are a little odd. If you're tipsy approqch with caution as they do not like people to turn up under the influence
P. C.
Weatherspoons pubs are variable. This one is really good and I come here in preference to the other pubs at Canary Wharf, which are almost all over-priced. Caveat: I usually end up coming here on weekend evenings, when it's fairly quiet. Lovely building.
I. P.
Another 'spoons, slightly more expensive beer, even than other London 'spoons, I guess because of it's proximity to Canary wharf. Also, not a great ale range for a typical spoons, but otherwise cheap and cheerful. Still unfortunate that the chain owner is a bit of a twonk, but there you are...
P. E.
A great place for a drink in the wharf. It has great views of the buildings and canal docks. The interior is nicely decorated, the bar is in the main hall with plenty of seating and live sports. There are a few smaller and quieter rooms for groups and there is a large outdpor seating area.
C. D.
Great selection of Gins. We enjoyed several in the sunshine of the bank holiday weekend. Food was ok, meat is always over cooked and dry no matter what whetherspoons you go in. Staff were helpful.
P. B.
I had nothing to eat or drink, but most of the other 30 people in my walking group had coffee. It is a large building with a large bar, which was busy with many people enjoying a late breakfast. Clean and warm with good toilets.
D. C.
A great weatherspoons pub, off the beaten track in canary wharf, pleasant staff with good service too
S. Z.
All the fundamentals are there with some nice surprises. Half of canary wharf ends up here on the average weekday. Staff do a good job turning drinks around quickly.
M. C.
A nice pub, a busy one too, it's clean, large and the staff are friendly. But as said it can get busy, with the bar full of people. It has a large seating area outside, good for when it's sunny day. Food is good.
H. B.
Food was typical weatherspoons grub. Drink typical weatherspoons prices. Services was a bit lacking, I queued so long at one point I got bored and went else where. Must have caught them at inopportune moment.
A. G.
1st visit to this particular JDW, and was quite impressed with it and the individual rooms you can sit in in this building. We had breakfast which was very good and well priced compared to other places around Canary Wharf, and very close to our office, so will visit again particularly to try what looked to be a good selection of real ales.
I. Q.
One HUGE building. Great staff. It's always packed so I advise downloading the Wethersoons app to order your drinks to a table you are on. It's faster than waiting to be served at the bar.
I. R.
Very nice pub for a Spoons. Quite a lot of seating space both inside and outside on the little terrace. A bit pricey for a Spoons, but then again it's Canary Wharf.
NB: The toilets are very nice 😂
C. J.
Such a picturesque Wetherspoons! Lovely seating area outside in separate non smoking and smoking parts. Really pretty inside and always easy to order with the app. Staff are always friendly.
M. B.
Must indicate what beers are on! Had the pictured but there were others not indicated on tap!
H. T.
Nice wetherspoons pub. Very busy weekday evenings, but food and drinks still get served relatively quickly. Gotta visit the ladies toilets while you're here. Its a unique experience!
J. J.
I've always liked Ledger Building good food. Just wish they wouldn't close the side rooms so early. Feels like you have a meal and can't relax at your table. They shift you into main bar that may or may not have seats
A. V.
Spacious and unlike most pubs, great view outside. Quiet during the day. Wetherspoons, so the prices are reasonable for London also.
A. M.
This is one of my favourite pubs in London! Great (and affordable) selection of classic pub grub, beer and the place is gorgeous! and it's in front of the canal. What more do you want!
A. B.
Do I look that young 🤔, was with a party off 8, 2 members ahead off me were allowed to pass through, as we're all over 18 this was not a problem. Of the 2 ahead off me one was aged 25/26, as the bouncer had seen me they were quick enough to ask for ID, which is fair enough and I have no problem showing it, as I do look young for my age, being 37 though, it strikes me as a little odd, when the tills say that you'll be asked for ID if you look under 21. If it was challenge 25 I could have a level of understanding but I definitely do not look under 21, and find it a little embarrassing to be challenged under these circumstances.
S. D.
Probably the cheapest place around Canary Wharf to get a cold drink on a hot day. Outside seating is serperated into smoking and non smoking, a few parasols in this heat wouldnt go amiss though as they said they only had one and the smokers got that. Not complaining as I smoke but we sat in non smoking as obviously not everyone smokes in our group! It's a busy pub, very popular so expect a wait once local businesses like mine finish for the day! Service is quick for the amount of people waiting in my opinon. Plenty of varied seating inside but I'd highly suggest reserving the larger booths at the back when your a big group. Good atmosphere.
J. W.
Good service and value for money.
S. B. (.
It's kind of worrying when you can place a food order at the bar, walk back to your table and the food arrives two minutes later. Unsurprisingly, the food was not great. On the upside, there's plenty of outdoor seating for when the weather's good.
N. F.
Very historic pub being built in a former Docklands factory, great atmosphere. Reasonable prices and lots of beers to choose from
L. D. M.
Decent eatery and pub. over two levels with lots of seating both inside and out. Great location. Food is tasty and good alcohol and beer options
C. P.
Pretty average as far as pubs go tbh
L. D.
Perfect outside area. The prices are great. The prosecco is really good and great value for money! The pizzas are nice. The ladies bathroom is really really nice!!
K. W.
Very clean. Great friendly service. The best Wetherspoons breakfast I've had in 10yrs. This is what all staff and management in Wetherspoons should try and aspire to. One Wetherspoons where the service and food hasn't dropped to an all time low.
S. S.
S wide choice of good cheek beer, especially for the area. Food is standard wetherspoons and a little stodgy. Quick polite service and plenty of seating for groups of almost any size.
D. R.
Popped in on Sunday afternoon and steady trade but got served quite quick and food was pretty good. Quite spacious pub with 2 separate dining areas.
k. h.
I enjoyed the food or those fish and chip portion was quite small, The American pancakes were huge those and tasted really good. factlies where good, baby changing were clean enough to breastfeed baby as well. Toilets in very good condition too.
M. R.
Great place to drink and eat ... food really good.
The people working here are great , friendly .
A. G. U.
The ambience in this spoons makes you feel cold and impersonal. Not such a friendly vibe as in other beeter value spoons. Though still much better value than the local rip off competitors, they get an extra star for not practicing daylight robbery as the Fullers pub and the Sipping Rooms, and others seem to think is acceptable
S. P.
For a place we stumbled into for dinner, this was lovely, from stewed pork belly to fried tofu with spicy salt. Staff were efficient and attentive. Looking forward to returning for dim sum. Excellent take on classical Chinese.
M. B.
Good choice for a brekky with unlimited coffee.
K. N.
Spacious and historic pub in West India Quay. Once a former counting warehouse in the docklands, the Ledger Building pays homage to its history by preserving many of the Georgian and Victorian features. Food and drink is standard like many Wetherspoon pubs. Burgers are the best value deals. They are big and the side portions of onion rings and chips are generous. Would recommend.
R. L.
Good value for a spoons pub considering you are in Canary Wharf. Very good selection of ales, larger and wine. A bit out of the the way from Canary Wharf tube, nearer the DLR. Worth a trip if you fancy a value drink and meal.
J. S.
Good prices for Canary Wharf. Good service. Though pizzas have gone down hill since May 2019.. too much topping and base is too thick..
M. D.
A Wetherspoons pub in Canary wharf.
Obviously cheaper than the surrounding bars because it's a Wetherspoons. As with most Wetherspoons, it has an excellent choice of booze. There's always something discounted if that's your tipple.
Standard Wetherspoons food which is great value when compared with the surrounding choices. The breakfast is decent and has refillable coffees!
Good outdoor seating. But there will be a large building construction site right next to the outdoor seating area for a few years to come.
B. T.
Thank you to management and the staff at the Ledger building !! We reserved a room for our wedding reception yesterday after we got married in court , your staff were friendly and constantly busy keeping the room tidy. You extended your hospitality to us with no extra charges at all , something that is very very rare when people hear the word wedding. The service was fantastic and we had a really awesome "reception" . We have always been happy with your service but yesterday really pushed you up in our estimations. Thank you again.
R. S.
Most well decorated, beer stocked spoons I've ever been to. Great range of ales always on, and exceptionally polite staff. Its still a spoons, so nothing fancy, but the fanciest you could get on a budget!
v.
It is certainly one of the better Wetherspoon's locations. It is quite large and particularly clean for a Wetherspoon's pub. A good selection of beers also! Most people are Canary Wharf working people, but regardless of that the atmosphere is not too bad.
A. S.
Nice, spacious historic building with outdoor seating. Big selection of drinks, including some local ales. Decent food selection offering great value for Canary Wharf.
M. S.
Very good Wetherspoon's pub. Competitive prices, Thursday curry night is a bargain £9.10, friendly staff, roomy inside and outside space too. Close to DLR at West India Quay.
A. G.
A Wetherspoon's like many others, really. A good size, with different rooms, which helps to keep it more quiet even when it's packed (though it gets quite loud all the same, especially given some of the surfaces are reflective). Good for a drink before the cinema or whatever at Canary Wharf, and less busy and cheaper than most of the other places. (You also get 20% off food with a cinema ticket.)
C. l.
A great spoons! Plenty of choice, fantastic surroundings. Nuf said .
T.
My very favourite pub, really nice atmosphere, friendly staff, 2 separate dining room, and garden with smoking area. The food is nice and you can find nice meal deal with food and drinks. Good selection of beers and ales.
B. W.
If you want a nice, budget pub, look no further! Good selection of the standard beers at a great price. The food won't surprise you, but it does the trick. Great location and a lovely, historical building.
D. P.
Typical Weatherspoon with a good selection of cheap beer. Lots of seating areas too and staff was friendly. Food isn't great but you get lots for your money.
L. H.
Beautiful building in nice location . Standard Witherspoon's food drink etc . Large so easy to avoid fellow visitors for virus protection !
C. S.
A very upmarket Weatherspoons in Canary Wharf. Very busy but not impossible to get a table on steak night. Great steak at a very reasonable price in very interesting surroundings. Definitely recommend.
G. D.
Food is OK considering the price. The place is quite big so you shouldn't have problems finding a table. The atmosphere is not too bad. For a beer and a dinner every now and then is good.
R.
Went on a Monday which meant it wasn't too busy. Good range of food and drinks as expected from a spoons. Also quite a large one with a few different seating areas.
N. F.
Having a Wetherspoons pub here seems a little at odds with the surroundings. Some of the ales that take a bit longer to sell sometimes are not that fresh, but the higher volume beers are OK most of the time. Significantly cheaper to than the other places nearby!
M. I.
Brilliant Wetherspoons pub near Canary Wharf. Although doesn't have a classic pub feel it does offer the same quality of cheap food and drinks one comes to expect from a Spoons.
Also does Pepsi and not Coke which is one of the main reasons I like pubs like this one!
V. M.
Comparing with neighbours of this place it feels like it is a youngest in family and a left out, drinks might be cheaper but that attracts crowds. Good place to have a pint with your pal's but if you want to eat, steer away.
E.
Good place for reasonable meal, a Wetherspoons pub so you know what to expect, apart from main bar two smaller rooms for a quieter meal, these rooms appear to be booked for special occasions, nice and clean, and ladies toilets the best I have seen in a pub!!!
J. N.
Been there twice.. drink prices are amazing (especially as it is so close to Canary Wharf) , food is amazing and customer service is brill... front court yard gets very busy on smokers side .. all in all it is
H. Y.
Ledger building where we can party hard with friends and family. We will find all kind of alcohols and varieties of yummy food. There will be curry festival on Thursdays which we will get Indian taste. We can use weather spoon app to order from table which is very important.
L. B.
One of the best spoons out there! Quality drinks and decent food.
Can get busy on Thursday/Friday evenings, but still good service.
i. t.
Very nice place with a big terrace. And friendly staff.. It is pricey one (like any other city wetherspoons) however food is always disappointing, worse than other spoons.
Lovely place to just have a drink
W.
Great weatherspoon, the looks from the terrace are great. Great kitchen and a wide range of beers. Really worth visiting. Will be definitely calling again.
G. d. l. T. E.
Large and beautiful historical building Very cheap to be right next to canary wharf. If you manage your expectations the food is quite alright; I actually love the buffalo chicken wings and the buttermilk fried chicken.
R. J.
I love this pub but almost don't want to tell anyone about it because it's like a hidden gem. The place is great for a quick meal you have lots of choice however the bar staff can be a bit on the rude side well they were I my experience but I couldn't fault the food 🍲
B. K.
This is a Wetherspoon pub which we visit on a Sunday when we go to the cinema. The service is excellent and the food is great. Its one of the best Wetherspoons I've been too. Its large area with one large room and 3 small areas plus an out door area in the front.
M. L. D.
The food was OK very noisy but loved the noisy feeling, quick service and friendly too
A. K.
Excellent cocktails, great food and staff are quick and friendly. Great atmosphere. Must go. Highly recommend.
A. B.
It is a nice pub and the cheapest in Canary Wharf, but we visited this week and saw no really outstanding guest ales on. We had a really good Truman IPA which is on all the time but isn't cheap.
J. R.
A place that gets extra busy once work comes to an end around Canary Wharf. This is a Wetherspoon pub and so their usual drinks and food are on offer. Staff were friendly and pleasant. Have visited numerous times.
M. B.
Good Wetherspoons, light and airy with some nice features and some outdoor seating st the front. Good long bar, however the choice of drinks on draft is a bit limited.
D. J.
Very quick and efficient table service here with a very helpful and friendly waitress.
A. G.
A very busy pub especially after work but decent prices make it worthwhile. Food was standard wetherspoons but using the app made the experience so easy and service was very quick
R. C.
Good sized pub for Canary Wharf area with the usual varied variety of beers expected from a Wetherspoons with the competitive pricing too. Food good with the themed day specials.
C. W.
Good wetherspoons. Decent outside marquee set up during the covid restrictions. App makes life easy
i. n.
Nice wetherspoons. The building is very eccentric with a number of different rooms to sit in, each with their own theme. Went for breakfast was as expected. The location is really nice overlooking westferry canal.
C. F.
Wetherspoon's pub in a great building and location (next to the Museum of London Docklands). Lots of information about the local area on the walls. Can get very busy on Thursday and Friday evenings and summer lunchtimes.
C. G.
excellent for drinks or meal with friends. I enjoy Tuesdays evening the most as it's steak day! Great value and great food. Also children friendly in the weekend. 5 *
K. C.
Eat here a lot with friends and family. Nice food and the staff are friendly. Prices are good and there is a good selection of drinks. Gets busy in the evening on a weekday but much quite during rd weekend usually.
P. M. C.
Great Wetherspoons pub for working class bankers or those who are happy to leave their pretensions at the door. Good food and selection of beers at (for London) great prices. Why go anywhere else if you are in Canary Wharf and fancy a cheeky pint?
I. C.
Great pub for a quick pint or 2 with a very reasonably priced scran. Nice vibe and you can use the spoons app to order to your table if you’re a proper lazy legend
B. N.
Plenty of spaces, nice athmosphere, prices are really low. I made a mistake to eat burrito, it was really not good (2 stars), so I would suggest to stick with the burgers or the other bar food, which seem to be everyone is eating here.
S. D.
Great customer service. Good choice of food. Not a fine dining place in case u are expecting more glitter, but that is reflected in price.
Loads of history attached to the land where this pub is located.
M. M.
I never thought I'd give 4 stars to a Wetherspoons, but I like their chicken Wednesdays! The place is also nice and extra points for gluten free beer. You should also check out the toilets ;)
B. Y.
Decor is good, service is ok. The place gets quite lively and loud after 6 on weekdays due to bankers. Food is standard wetherspoons quality however this is one of the more expensive spoons in east London.
L. R.
It's a 'Spoons - one of the good ones! Lovely building and friendly, efficient staff.
R. S.
Great fish and chips as well as burgers. Deals with drinks were great. We enjoyed our time a lot. Excellent value for the price. Well come back.
r. b.
Due to food shortages, menu was reduced
E. E.
One of the nicer Wetherspoons, its in a great city location and great to sit outside if sunny. Pricier than most Spoons, (London City) but its clean, service was good when we went there and would go again.
J. B.
Wide range of reasonably priced (particularly for the area) beer. Decent quality cheap food. Good atmosphere when busy, nice when quiet. Get thisen in, you might even see me!
G. A.
A very spacious Wetherspoon pub - and it needs to be. Various annexes can be reserved for parties. Usual blend of good beer and reasonable quality food for a good price.
F. B.
Our loved local pub in Canary wharf. Value for money with a great selection of beers. Note: when busy you will struggle with service.
N. S.
Very good range of beers, very cheap for Canary Wharf. Plenty of seating indoors and out. Fairly fast, accurate service. Most of the food is fairly stodgy though.
G. A.
Exactly what you'd expect from a city Wetherspoons. The prices are cheap and you know what you're getting. Went during a quiet period between Christmas and New Year, and thanks to the app didn't even have to leave our table to order!
H. G.
It was very busy and the table service was slow, so was getting a drink from the bar. Staff friendly but obviously busy. Nice environment and toilets were surprisingly spacious.
J. n.
Love this pub. Lots of rich history
Food was good. Full menu better than other places.
S. S. (.
Good food and drinks, shame about the mens toilets. They were a tip. 3 out of 4 stalls were either broken, flooded or had sick in. The whole place was filthy and disgusting.
D. W.
Large Wetherspoons with plenty of seating, split up into several rooms. Usual range of Spoons food and drink, my pizza was good and ale was in good condition.
M. B.
It's a Weatherspoons, but it has surprisingly clean bathrooms and thankfully is less populated with the chain's regular crowd during the day. Gets very crowded after 5pm though. Who knew there were so many Brexiteers in Canary Wharf?!
P. D.
One of the best branches in the country for decour, with excellent staff and a good range of real ales. Food served hot and fresh on day of visit.
Hope this is the norm during the week.
A. H.
A little better than your typical 'Spoon's, it's clean, fairly roomy and usually possible to get a table around lunch. The service is good, prices are reasonable, food is a little disappointing, but then it's a Whetherspoons...
M. M.
Very good Weatherspoons pun.Very cheap for this part of London. Just bought a pint for £3:14
It has been recently refurbished.
But could do with more bar staff.

Being a Wetherspoons, thier drinks and food offered are reasonably priced considering it's situated on the Canary Wharf estate. It's been around for well over a decade and the fact that it's packed on a Thurs or Friday evening is testament to that.
M. K.
Weatherspoons pub, so cheap and cheerful. Food is nothing special, but drink selection is good. Plenty of space inside and out. Good for a quick bite or for a few drinks with friends.
S. W.
Very spacious. Food and drink lovely. In the best location.
F. G.
It's a Wetherspoons so you know what you'll be getting! I use this pub quite regularly when I'm in Canary Wharf. It's roomy, cheap (compared to the local competition) and the service is usually good even when the pub is busy
J. H.
This isn't just a pub, this is a place to get breakfast, lunch and dinner all with drinks along the way. The best part is that it's cheap as hell, and I'm sad we didn't go there more often. Highly recommended by me
E. S.
Great place to hold some work events (e.g. leaving drinks, selebrations) as have separate rooms. Prices are much lower than in other places in CW. Food was good as well.
A. B.
At time of visit, not too busy. Nice to sit outside in the unexpected hot weather - noise encounterer not JDW's fault. Marred a perfect setting ...
Importantly this time the beer service was ok, and most appeared to be available....not their usual lacklustre service... Our server hadn't heard of "Plain Crisps"... until we mentioned "Ready Salted"!
J. M.
This is a Wetherspoon pub so reasonable menu and prices, but been here a few times and chips always Luke warm! Interesting building but can get busy with office workers from canary wharf and with high ceiling the noise levels can make it difficult to hear
N. M.
A large pub that is very reasonably priced for this area. Lots of choice for food and drink. Tables can be hard to find after work but the service is usually pretty quick.
R. C.
One of the best Spoons I've been to. Very spacious, lots of light and the usual good selection of drinks at reasonable prices. Can't go wrong :)
L. L.
Otherwise called Wetherspoons! Cycled to here with my mate from upminster usually have a bacon buttie. Service good as always and food served promptly. Enjoyable food as always. However noticed this, and at last visit, that place generally messy - good example is where you get your hot drinks really untidy and various items like sweetener missing it appears lack of care and attention.
D. O.
Came here for leaving drinks after work. Great choice of lagers, beers and other alcoholic libations. Food was ok, however the toilets were dreadfull, something thats sorely lacking at this establishment.
M. D.
Great service, Nice location and great food. Great food. Tasted very fresh and well presented. My friend did find some staff unapproachable at times when busy but understandable. Overall great time there 👍
N. A.
Great place. One of the nicest weatherspoons in a area rife with expensive beer.
Great atmosphere too. You'll love it!
P. T.
Had a vege burger and much nicer than fullers pub at end of my road and less than half the price. Nice staff.
A. W.
Poor table service.... Drinks poured and sat on the bar. Several staff acknowledged they were there but preferred to stand talking. I'm sure this isn't company policy for J.D.Wetherspoons
W. O.
Always happy to come here, for a Wetherspoons this one is actually pretty nice, an old building, high ceilings, nice waterfront location, nothing not to like
S. R.
Enjoyed the food! Atmosphere good! However I thought all wetherspoons were the same price throughout the country
M. A.
Very nice wetherspoons. Good meini, large loos and fast service. Some of the staff got a little confused but it is very busy so not surprising
S. D.
Big big pub. Nice selection of beers and very high capacity. If you leave around Canary Wharf probably you know this place, it's quite cheap too being part of the Wetherspoon chain. Recommended!
J.
Very nice food as always clean and tidy very nice building too
R. H.
This is a Wetherspoons pub located next to the Docklands Museum in Canary Wharf. Service was very slow and the food OK. That said, the beer ordered on the Wetherspoons app arrived very quickly.
D. Z.
Location is amazing, staff is friendly, prices are really good.
C. V.
It's ok but it is very expensive for a spoons!
Also always really busy pretty much 80% of the time which is a little annoying!
p. n.
Happening pub near a queue of restaurants and bars close to the West India Quay DLR. Very crowded during thursday and friday evenings. Price is on the lower side in comparison to other pubs in the Canary Wharf area. Chicken wings are excellent too.
M. M.
Nice pub. Lovely location. Beautiful views. Great for a quick drink or a get together with mates. Good selection of drinks and nice food too
F. S.
Regulars! Always loved the great atmosphere and good food that's comes without tearing your pockets off money!
D. S.
Good fresh food
Spacious garden
D. C.
A massive Wetherspoons pub. So, cheap beer and wine and a range of food. Everything you'd expect from a Wetherspoons pub. On my visit the pub was quite full and the service was petty good.
M. S.
One of the cosiest Wetherspoons I've been to. They have plenty of rooms, each with a different setup, and the outdoor space is lovely in the summer!
J. R.
Good open area outside, great for drinks and food.
J. G.
Quiet without music so will suit some over others but definitely worth it for cheap drinks in London. Enough space for a larger group too.
R. N.
Best weatherspoon in London.. you should visit this place. Really good food for the price. Really beautiful location.
A. M.
Well organised Spoons. No complaints. Guest ales returning soon apparently. Looking forward to that.
K. J.
Too busy on friday struggle to get a drink no music as expected from wetherspoons prices fair especially for location will visit again hopefully not so packed busys good but queues for bar too much x
D. B.
Nice traditional spacious pub with affordable prices.
A. j.
service was quick and helpfull . Food was nice but the butter chicken burger wasn't nice. It had no seasoning in the coating or the chicken and it was very watery . They changed it without a problem . Again staff are excellent .
A. B.
Being going there for a long time. Love it !
M. B.
It's a Wetherspoons pub, it's pretty much what you expect, though surprisingly quiet given it's in Canary Wharf. Not impressed by the taps in the toilets though, they were quite hard to use.
A. t. s. g.
The food arrived at the table in amazing presentation I was absolutely ecstatic I was like wow wow wow wow and the waitresses said appreciate your absolute kind to me I said absolute no problem I ate my food it was amazeballs I paid for my food got up did a massive s*** in the toilet and I was as happy as pie.
B.
I've been here multiple times but for private events. I haven't tried the food here but it looks good. The toilets are nice as well
A. G.
Good, Wetherspoons with outdoor seating. Large range of drinks on offer. Food is good and well priced.
A. O.
We used to go there for a drink and snacks before and after a movie. Good location, plenty of space, good prices. Good selection of beer, including international ones.
N. B.
Could have been cleaner. Didn't see any tables cleaned in the section we were in whilst we were there.
C. C.
I'm not a huge fan. The main area is so large is difficult to garner an ambience. In the summer the beer garden out front can be awesome.
M. D.
A good clean pub with a good selection of real ales. Went there for a Christmas dinner but none available although advertised no turkey would you believe it very disappointing
S. T.
I like chain of all Wetherspoons. This time it wasn't breakfast but dinner, and again everything was very good. The place is stylish.
O. C.
Nice restaurant, amazing toilets, but bored atmosphere without any music, very boring staff, but efficient. Good prices although, and looks like the food is nice. Localization lovely.
N. H.
It's a Wetherspoons what more do you need to know? Nice building, stinks of chips, decent enough beer, usual Brexit propaganda on the tables, staff are a bit rubbish, you know, Wetherspoons.
P. G.
The place for a cheap drink on Canary Wharf. It's a JD Wetherspoons pub so you sort of know what to expect before you arrive but given that the average price of a beer in this area is over £4, it's comforting to know that JDW's sensible pricing can redress the balance. Inside the Ledger is spacious with several rooms branching off from a large open plan bar. It can get busy on a Friday night but the staff are alert and usually make sure they serve people in order. Food is from the standard JDW menu which is extensive and generally good value but nothing to write home about. Good for post-work drinkers... Oh and they have strangely futuristic bathrooms here. Not sure what that's about!
V.
Great to sit outside on a summers night. Also very big inside.
M. D.
The Ledger Building is how Canary Wharf does Weatherspoon pubs. Much classer looking, better standard of clientelle but thankfull the same cheap prices.
I've been here a number of times and eaten and drunk here. The food is servered in the restaurant side of the building so feels a bit more like going to a value restaurant then eating in a pub.
If you need somewhere for food and drink on a budget then this is worth a visit.
Make sure you take ID in the evening as they do scan IDs on entry and will refuse entry without.
F. A.
Go to pub, best Wetherspoons I know of.
Very quite for work on a weekend.
Tables usually dirty so please put this together guys.
O. D.
Good location, fast service and very friendly prices! Possible to order food+drinks via app and you dont even need to get up from you place. Not a fancy place, but a good spot to meet up with friends
P. D.
Great meal and atmosphere!
D. M.
Best wetherspoons we've been to recently. It's modern, clean, loads of seating and beer/food was good.
G. K.
It's ok not something special. Staff should be more friendly. Good prices though. Keep improving your food and services.
H. O.
They had run out of Fosters and there were no platters to share.
C. M.
Far to busy for our comfort
l.
Wetherspoon are always great value, this one is nice and friendly. Lots of tables and some booths as well. Nice atmosphere and enormous toilets!
S. W.
My favourite Wetherspoons pub.. great building with plenty of space.. one of my regular Sunday haunts when it comes to meeting up with friends for lunch and drinks..
a. p.
This is an amazing place..few minutes walk from West ferry dlr or east India dlr station the place is located right next to a wharf..a very happening place beautifully lit in the evening this is a perfect place to have a beer..the food choices are a bit limited but they more than make it up for that by offering a wide range of drinks..overall love this place !!!
H. B. (.
A good place for families to eat. Lots of choice so everyone is happy. Surprisingly quiet for a Sunday, but service was fast and efficient.
R. G.
Classic Wetherspoons. Pretty standard. Good booze, distinctly average food. Normally easy enough to get a table. Cheap!
L.
Cheap Food and very friendly staff. Very good
N. M.
Cosy pub with home flair 😁
M. A.
Great building, excellent value for money, Lunch and a drink for under a tenner!
Ordered a steak medium rare and it was cooked to perfection.
G. L.
I had a very tasty chicken&pork rib plate here, then a perfect half baked chicken another day. Prices moderate (8.8 GBP for the above plus a Pepsi), wifi lets you use the net without signing in, for some reason.
S. D.
A large spoons which is not bad actually. Mens toilets are falling apart but the food is good and there's plenty of staff.Cheap rest bite from over the water.
P. T.
Really nice venue. Food is at a good price. Good range of beers available. My favourite place at Canary Wharf.
b. s.
A Witherspoon's in the heart of docklands
S. P.
Typical Wetherspoon. A bit untidy and too crowded on a Friday night. Wifi not working far from the bar, makes ordering from the app difficult.
S. B.
Decent spoons, recently refurbished. Always very busy in the evenings but the staff are able to match the pace with service. Especially fast with app orders.
K. B.
Historic building with good atmosphere and service
A. T.
VFM and spacious - ideal for events
G. M.
Staying in carnay wharf for a few weeks. Its really expensive on the wharf but not here. Good pint for £2.55 food lots of it and fine deals on all week. Recommend
e. a.
Lovely building now a Weatherpoons. Tasteful decour shows the history of the building.
Good for lunch. Affordable pub food.
