Not only are the workers incredibly nice, the place looks clean and is comfy for a night out with your mates. The food there is to die for and they have happy hour until 7PM (as well as nice beer choices). Nice aesthetic and just a good environment for a relaxed fun evening. Bathrooms are clean, but unfortunately incredibly cold compared to the inside of the bar. They also have an outside area with heaters on and some tables for us smokers to be comfortable and be social during it. Definitely deserve the 5 stars. Good job everyone!

Spent a lot of time here and the drinks, roof terrace and garden was lovely. Unfortunately I’ve had to mark them down due to their GF food options. I contacted them beforehand to ask about food options as I could see their fries are not GF, but their dirty fries are. I emailed and asked about this and was told to speak to the server on the day, unfortunately that was difficult due to how busy they were and so I played it safe and ordered the nachos. There wasn’t a lot else available. The nachos were overloaded and soggy which made them unpleasant. If there were on a plate or spread out it, they would have been better. From what everyone said, the other food was good but I can’t really comment on those

Want to escape the bussle of Camden Market then step right in. This place is a lovely spot to eat and drink. Great welcome when you step in, good food and some excellent beers. We shared nachos for £10, spot on! Loved it.

Love this place, we come here after work. I think The Lock Tavern is a little bit of calm in crazy Camden. Great staff, location and Beers, not tried the food yet, but it smells good! There is also live music here on occasion. Will definitely be back.

Food was SO good. Great fish and chips, cobb salad and the popcorn chicken were also good. Kinda small serving on the popcorn chicken but the habanero mayo with it was amazing. Overall a little pricey but the food was definitely 5 stars.

Been coming to this pub on and off for more than 20 years. It has been renovated over the years but the latest incarnation maximises space, especially out in the back courtyard. Always a busy and noisy pub, it's often hard to get a seat or space at busier times. Child friendly before 8pm (like most pubs), they serve a good mix of food and drinks. The current set of bar staff are super friendly and attentive.

I came here as I remembered it from a few years ago as being a great pub with live music. It has since been totally revamped (in fairness to a very good standard) but it’s lost it’s rough and ready charm. I can’t fault the redecoration etc but it’s lost its “proper pub” feel which is a shame. Staff were very nice, extremely friendly and helpful. Drinks were very expensive but I guess that goes with the decor now!

The Lock Tavern is one of those beautifully cosy and festive pubs that I've come to love. At night, it's got a busy ambience with the dimly lit setting sets the tone for an intimate atmosphere. Like all good pubs, there's a good selection of craft brews on tap and a long wine list. This being Camden, of course, beer connoisseurs features heavily which is great - these guys know how to make a crisp, refreshing beer. During the winter, there is a "Lock Lodge" at the back which is perfect for a Christmas get together. There's a fire pit in the middle to keep you warm, there is festive decoration around you, heat seatings on the benches, and blankets provided in case it gets too chilly. Food was excellent. The pork belly was out of this world sweet, savoury and crispy. My only gripe is that at night, the music is cranked up so you're going to strain to hear and be heard over "Valerie" by Amy Winehouse. This is a very good pub. I would recommend coming in for a drink or spending a Christmassy evening here.

A big big thank you and shoutout to the Wonderfull team at The Lock Tavern for making a 30th birthday party one to remember! Our initial booking was at the terrace but as there was rain forecasted - we were moved to the garden where we would have shelter from any rain. We were able to bring our own cake which they stored for us and arranged all plates and cutlery. To make the celebration more special they brought out a bottle of Prosecco with a sparkler too! The whole venue looks really nice and the garden is quite large. It's perfect for a bigger group. The team was really lovely, helpful and easy to communicate with throughout - from booking to the day itself. SO happy that we ended up going to the Lock Tavern, I would highly recommend them if you're looking for a space!

After being away for 6 months, it seems they have changed the menu to far lower quality food, noticeably the chicken wings, and increased the prices of drinks. It’s a shame as they used to have amazing food, but looks like it’s becoming just another mass-service pub, not the great vibe, great food they used to be. This is the place I (used to) go with friends on a bi weekly basis, but since moving back to London looks like we will be looking for somewhere new. I spoke to a waiter and they dismissed this, said that they had nothing to do with it when it was more of a constructive feedback from a long-time customer.

Great outdoor area with a fire pit and lots of heaters! We were warm even in December. Food good but a tad pricey (£12+ burger without chips), good beer and cocktail selection. Toilets were a bit grotty.

Great drinks selection, everything arrived on time. The staff were absolutely amazing, most of them were all female staff, even the manager which makes it so much more better and comfortable for us women, especially since my cousins and I experienced an uncomfortable situation with a group of men at the pub. The manager instantly kicked them out, which is something we don't see often and it literally made our day. Will definitely go back to this pub again.

This is just the kind of bar you would expect in Camden. The crowd it attracts seems fairly mixed and that probably has a lot to do with the fact hat at it's heart it is not trying to hard to be something pretentious. It has a good selection of drinks and the music was great - though that will always be to individual tastes.

What's not to like as you discover nook after nook of little treasures by passing through and making every little turn. Quaint little shops selling a variety of unique items. Then you come out to Camden eatery with such a diverse choice of mouthwatering options you'll wish you had room in your belly for more!

Place itself is very nice and been there on number of occasions. Yesterday the service was super slow and took ages to order/receive drinks. Clearly team was understaffed. What a great pub! All staff super friendly and ready to put us at ease with social distancing and PPE. The manager (short woman with brown hair) served us on the bar and was really chatty and friendly We had food which was delicious and came out quickly - they’re even doing disposable cutlery to minimise risk of contamination. Seriously loved it, staff is adorable, even had me taste a variety of different beers to choose which one I would prefer (and get a few pints of, clearly), has indoor and outdoor seating with a legit beer garden and rooftop (closed at that point, but it was indeed raining). Wide variety of beverages available and just an overall chill vibe, good music, not too loud and a great place to meet up, either at the beginning or the end of the week.

The music is absolutely fantastic. Free live music on the weekend is so so good to have close by. The beer garden is very cool and for colder nights, there are plenty of heaters. There is also a lovely terrace area just outside the upstairs bar. Staff are great! It's a bit on the expensive side, but for free live music, it's okay to pay a few pence more per pint.

I loved this pub!! Had a super old skool feel to it, great selection of drinks on tap plus spirits. London Beefeater gin is now my missus favourite gin! And even though it was windy as hell outside this pub has a great beer garden which is very sheltered lots of seating and nice wall heaters. The food we did not try but I'd imagine it would be good pub grub. Would revisit.

Went here to see a band play and found it rather nice. The music room is upstairs so not suitable for people with mobilty issues and is not huge and has good sound. There is a bar in the room and an outside roof terrace as well plus plenty of loos. The main bar downstairs was very busy but being a Saturday when I went this is to be expected. Food as well but not tried so cannot really coment and prices typical for the area. If you just want a drink it is great with a wide selection and the place has the added bonus of live music to.

When I lived in Kentish Town, this was my favorite pub to drink at. Rough around the edges, with a huge beer garden, huge upstairs terrace, great beers on tap, live music and a staff that are on point. In the warmer months when the suns out the place is buzzing, the garden packs out, as does the terrace. Fantastic place to while away a summer Saturday afternoon. Top tip: in the winter months when things are colder you can still sit in the garden, the place is fitted with heat lamps everywhere - a great feature that more places should mimic.

Love this place. It's not right in the centre of Camden, which means you can get a space in their beer garden or the roof terrace on a sunny weekend when everywhere else is full. Food is average pub fare, though my portion of fish and chips was definitely on the small side, and the burgers don't come with fries as standard.

I love this bar for its fantastic beer garden which offers ample seating, though busy nights will fully pack it out, and heated covered tables. The beer selection is great and it's location makes it a fantastic meeting point before continuing on to gigs at Camdens many nearby music venues.

Really cool little place with loads of great free gigs. The interior is cosy and there's a nice selection of drinks on tap. Upstairs is quite small, which makes for quite intimate feeling gigs. There's two outside areas too - an upstairs balcony and a massive beer garden. Great for chilling in the summer, but the heat lamps make it bareable even in the autumn. Would recommend.

I had venison and red wine (other options were steak and stilton, and lamb and mint) The meat was really well cooked and there was a lot of it which I was impressed with. We also had some pitta bread with homemade hummus and olives. The hummus was really really good. It's a really nice place to stop by if you're hungry, but I haven't had a drink there yet :P

A buzzing and lively place. Spread over a number of floors, with more than one outside area. I've had many a raucous and fun night here. Always a great atmosphere. A must visit, if you are on a camden pub crawl. Downstairs can get a bit busy and the toilets in truth could do with a facelift an a half. It's fine though, all part of the Camden charm innit ; )

A trendy pub set in the heart of Camden. it's good quality hearty pub grub. I tend to eat here when friends visit, especially during the summer months. It's good value and will set the worst of hangovers right.. It has a well stocked bar with a range of beers, ciders ale's and spirits. In addition it has a roof terrace and nice little garden tucked away at the back for a good old fashioned boozy lunch or beginning of a night out. For memory it was £8 for an angus beef burger and chips and I don't recall any of the mains being more than £10 It's only downfall for me was the slow service at the bar.

Excellent pub, great beers wicked staff. Place has a real mix, inside the pub you get the feeling like the place hasn't been touched (in a good way) that's it's still got the same feel that it would have had 20 years ago... Outside the garden has a refurbed feel to it comfortable and spacious with lots of greenery perfect for long summer afternoons. Up stairs the music venue is small in the best ways creating a cosy crowded atmosphere. Your never more than 5 meters from the stage. With a balcony behind it that looks out over Camden high street. This is a great venue a great pub and great place to go if you in Camden :)

Popped in before a gig at the Roundhouse. Arrived 6.10, food arrived 6.30, out the door by 6.45. A couple of Sam Brooks beers on tap, well kept. On Monday they do a burger deal so we got two for £11. The skin-on fries were excellent, the portobello mushroom burger good, the green chilli burger a bit *too* spicy to be flavourful. I'd definitely come back - worked really well. Well done 🔐🍻!

My dearest friend from PDX, MikeZ, told me I was doing too many museums. He said go to Chalk Farm so we did. We took a bus to Camden and walked up & down Chalk Farm Rd. We looked at 3 separate markets (The Stables Market, The Camden Market, and Camden Lock Market). The pics include the Cereal Killer Cafe, a vegan falafel place, The Lock Tavern, and Marine Ice. It turns out that ice cream is good on a cold day! I had lamb pita at The Lock Tavern. The food stalls in the Camden and Camden Lock Markets looked delicious. Tons of ethnic variety. If it was warmer we would have eaten there but it was too cold and wet so we went with good pub food.
